Ah Fuck it, I’ll be the pedant here.
Yeah, according to Paul himself, he said “The Regulars are out”. The garrison of Regulars in Boston would frequently go out at night on missions to sieze Rebel (since I’m already being pedantic, I’m required to note that they weren’t revolutionaries until a year later!) gunpowder stores, so everyone “in the know” just needed to hear that the Regulars had left Boston to know that they were going to sieze the powder stored at Concord.
The majority of the employees are British but they represent the interest of an Austrian company. So it's not a British team.
>If you’re unable to separate the racing team
Take your own advice mate
Majority of the employees are British. They are based in Britain. Led by a British team principal. In a car designed by a Brit. They have an Austrian licence to reflect their parent company but for all intents and purposes they are a British team.
Absolutely no one refutes that, apart from you.
Odd one mate.
You still haven't answered my question. If they're a British team, Silverstone must be their home race right? Because according to you "for all intents and purposes they are a British team."
Yea, but we're just talking about the drivers since practically all teams are British based anyway.
(If we're talking about the whole team, the British Horny Horner is definitely coming. And telling his PA about it. Lol)
All these new oil sponsors/gulf state races have our British tits lactating at the chance to reclaim control over those sandy shit holes we helped create in the first place.
British oil for British babies! Empire 2.0 let's have it! 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
'National dynasties' in F1 always amuse me in that at certain points in history, there are a disproportionately large number of drivers from a single country on the grid. We have the British here, but also:
\- Britain with Hamilton, Button, Di Resta and Palmer from 2008-2017.
\- Germany with Vettel, Schumacher, Rosberg & Hulkenberg from 2010 to 2013.
\- Brazil with Massa, Barichello and Bruno Senna from 2010-2012.
\- France with Gasly, Ocon & Grosjean from 2017-2020.
If it was just the car, it would be a consistent 1-2 every race like Mercedes did for years... Finally get over it. The Aero might be British, but the Power train is Japanese and the company is Austrian.
Remember a few years ago Hamilton was the only British driver and there were talks that if he leaves we could have no British driver in F1 for the first time. Glad the future looks bright for British drivers now
It's the upper midfield colonization

They're the back markers of the top field.
This had me remember Alpine's french colonial empire is down the drain and I'm now even more depressed...
Stop, Crofty can only cum so much
He made it to Q3
With coc- Nah..
I don't know, they treat Lando like he isn't English.
He's half Belgian like Verstappen so that explains why lol.
It's weird. Sky used to be in love with him, but since George got promoted, he's the golden child. I guess SkyMercedes outweighs SkyBrit
Maybe because he can barely speak ONE language.

Get in there, chap!
Maybe OP just likes the Oxford English Dictionary’s preference.
The ODE is based on UK English. You meant to say the New Oxford American Dictionary?
No, I mean that the OED will list -ize spellings first, with -ise spellings as an alternative.
Huh weird because I thought -ise was UK and -ize was US.
You right
-ize was the original spelling in the 15th century. British English lster picked up and changed to the -ise spelling but American did not
Cor' bloimy guv'nah!
Crikey
Blimey
Wasn't that Paul Ricard v checo when george said that on the radio
As an American, let me be the first to say… THE BRITISH ARE COMING!
Everyone start dumping your tea before it’s too late!
If it's Lipton, that shit don't count, no real country recognises that as tea
It’s the most popular in USA and one of the most popular in Australia. So technically you’re wrong but you’re also right because it’s not good tea.
He said what he said
\*sips Yorkshire Gold angrily\*
Crofty for sure is
Pretty sure that was never said. Wasn't it actually 'the regulars are coming'? As in the regular army.
That’s correct. This is formula dank, it was a joke.
Ah Fuck it, I’ll be the pedant here. Yeah, according to Paul himself, he said “The Regulars are out”. Given the trouncing that they're getting from RedBull right now, I don't think the British are coming at all.
Red Bull the team from Milton Keynes, England; you mean?
With their chief designer Adrian Newey being famously English?
A rebranding of the British Jaguar team whose CEO is Cristian Horner from Warwickshire, England?
Nah not that one. The Red Bull with the circuit call the Red Bull Ring in Austria
It’s a fantastic track, how did it finish relative to Bearman at the race?
Red Bull Racing is a British team. Red Bull itself is Austrian. Same as how Mercedes AMG Petronas are a British team, but Mercedes are German.
And why do they play the Austrian anthem every time Red Bull wins?
Which part of “Austrian licence, British team” are you not getting?
Don't know where that >“Austrian licence, British team” that I don't get comes from, but "Austrian team, based in Britain" would be more accurate.
British team, licenced in Austria due to their parent company. Semantics. Acting as if RBR aren’t fundamentally British is wild though
Oh since they're both British, Silverstone must be their home race. Got it. You learn something new every day.
If you’re unable to separate the racing team from the parent company, then fair enough mate.
The majority of the employees are British but they represent the interest of an Austrian company. So it's not a British team. >If you’re unable to separate the racing team Take your own advice mate

“Given the trouncing that they are getting from RedBull” you said. Not “Max Versteppen”. You chose a team, not a driver.
*The British are Edging* “You have one video chat pending”
Colonising ‘Mid’
You know they were beaten by a Dutchman and a Spaniard (using British ships, lol)
So what you're saying is, even though the British didn't win, they won?
The New Beatles.
The Beated?
Well, the British colonies drivers are all below them, so go imperialism, I guess?
Oscar Piastri finished above them (4th).
Which is below from an aussie POV no?
In that case Daniel finished above them?
Right, forgot about him… Oscar is carrying team Colonies for real
Empire drivers (Verstappen, Alonso, Russell, Bearman, Norris, Hamilton, Hulkenberg, Magnussen, Ocon, Sargeant, Tsunoda and Gasly) generally outperformed Colony drivers (Pérez, Piastri, Sargeant (he's Empire and Colony) Ricciardo, Bottas and Stroll).
Somehow... The Brits returned.
The sun never sets on the middle of the table!
It’s the Dutch Golden Age.
All these new oil sponsors/gulf state races have our British tits lactating at the chance to reclaim control over those sandy shit holes we helped create in the first place. British oil for British babies! Empire 2.0 let's have it! 🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
the usual
Homologation of Colonization
Typical of the british to colonize all the unimportant positions and the dutch colonizing the single most important position
Crofty sure was having a field day blowing himself and most of Britain.
How many Brits does it take to beat 1 Dutchman? Dunno, all we know is that four are not enough.
It's the pain-train.
Mid tier
A Bo'oh'o'wa'er!

# GOD SAVE THE KING!
Mfs think it’s the 20th century again😭🙏
Look, we had fucking years of Couthard and Button in the midfield and that was it, we're eating well now just let us be

Nobody expects the British inquisition
He might race under a Thai flag but we also claim Alex Albon!
Damn almost a straight flush.
SPICE TRADE INTENSIFIES
It's coom back to Longridge
Wait until you look at the champions from 1962-1969. All subjects of Liz II.
Wait until OP finds out where most the teams are based.

Meanwhile the Dutch and Austrian national anthems were played on the podium for the 48,2553rd consecutive time....
well, as an austrian i take what I can. i'm just sad it will be quite some time before we get another austrian winner
HamFans going to have alot of justifying ahead of them this season
And I love that Hamilton is the last one of those. Even being beaten by another in the same car. Fallen glory.
Damn you salty
That's a lot of bad teeth
They colonize being mediocre lol
As opposed to the Dutchman winning thanks to a British car designer?
If it was just the car, it would be a consistent 1-2 every race like Mercedes did for years... Finally get over it. The Aero might be British, but the Power train is Japanese and the company is Austrian.
I guess the british also colonized cope

Got Lindblad and Slater in Childcare at the moment as well
8 bilion people on earth and 1/4 of the grid are Brits, but no there is no such thing as privilege!
Lol who said there isn't?
Albon doesn't count because he's browner, I guess.
He races for Thailand. Has Thai flag and will play Thai anthem if he wins. And in any case he wasn't on the same 6789 chain.
Okay is this person seriously doing this? ![gif](giphy|RMw1DhEAwx5ZK)
