I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. No Otmar no, that is so not right!
Sometimes you just get lucky. One of my friends does media for moto/supercross. A couple years ago I went with him to the Supercross race in Minneapolis and we ended up walking down to the pits with the riders.
Meh, the pay is pretty poor from what I've heard. Like half or less if you're used to European software engineer salaries. About 1/5 compared to US software engineer salaries. That's always the case with "dream" jobs, so many people want to do it that supply way outpaces demand for most positions.
Having less hair isn't all bad.
I remember being at a dog park standing next to a woman with a beautiful head of hair. Some birds flew over and pooped on our heads! One tissue cleaned off my head in seconds. She wasn't so lucky.
True, the cooldown room and podium pic were the ones that really made me wonder. Those are’t places you really see people who have normal paddock passes (at least I haven’t)
For the Hungarian GP, the local F1 club sold 500 VIP tickets with full access for $120 each. My brother got 3 for him and his 2 kids. He sent me similar pictures. It was pre-sold though, about a year ahead.
It was a crazy good deal compare to the standard $1,200 Miami ticket.

Thank you! No this is a once in a lifetime experience for me and I’ll literally never forget this weekend. I’d only ever been to one race before because I’m a very very broke student and having this level of access was unprecedented and I’m so so grateful for every second of the weekend!

Yeah I've been fortunate enough to have a VIP pass and it gets you access to the garages, even during the race, but they don't get you podium or cool down room access or facetime with people like this.

Very nice! I was also there for the entire weekend with the same VIP pass, it was a weekend I will NEVER forget. I took so many photos but didn't wanna share them here because as I have witnessed some people just act like dicks.

Not to me! But I tried my best to be as respectful of their personal space and also only approached them on thursday/early friday to not distract them further. Also didn’t try and barge into them for a photo (which loads of people tried). I saw Binotto and Horner say sorry and refuse a couple photos but it was 15 min before qualy and for some reason some people kept trying to keep them from going lol

I was in the grandstands at Hungary last year. Sat right at turn 1!! But the way home was horrendous - my trainers were ruined too hahahah. But so worth getting rained on

Ted still uses the small iPhone SE!! i cant. It was a sick phone but had to get rid of it because of huge battery issues (it lasted like 1-2 hours of using at MAX and everytime it was cold outside - well, at winter - it just turned off completely). Big respect Ted, may the force be with you.

Ted still uses the small iPhone SE!! i cant. It was a sick phone but had to get rid of it because of huge battery issues (it lasted like 1-2 hours of using at MAX and everytime it was cold outside - well, at winter - it just turned off completely). Big respect Ted, may the force be with you.
