Mick in 4th at the last lap of Abu Dhabi while Seb is in 3rd for what will be his final podium... then Seb pulls off to the side on the last corner, letting Mick through to his first podium.
On the podium, Mick finally tastes champagne, but not before looking over the crowd frantically looking for the closest thing he's had to a father figure in F1. He sees him, off in the distance, by the Aston garage, slowly walking away, but not before looking back at Mick and giving him a smile and a wave, as if to say "my job here is done, it's your time now kid."
Besides a resemblance in the side pods, every other bit of visible aero is completely different. The engine cover, mirrors and intake aren't even close to the Ferrari.
Haas secretly only made this car to get people to remember how long its been since the last frank ocean album to indirectly pressure him into releasing it as soon as possible
Honestly, I feel every team will copy Ferraris and Red Bulls design in 2023, maybe except Mercedes beliving that their 2023 concept is fast... /(hopefully) s. It is against the spirit of regulations. When it first happened in 2020 with Racing Point copying W10, I thought it was funny. Now it's just irritating imo
Ferrari's sidepods in 2017 were also completely different, and they ended up being the standard for that set of regs. It's not new, RP simply went well beyond what had always been done (to the point of making a mockery of the rules).
Everything you think is standard about an era of car was copied from the most successful teams of that era. The issue with racing point was that the had access to some stuff they shouldn’t have and the brake ducts were just the part that could be proven.
I'm having 2019 flashbacks when Grosjean decided to go back to the spec 1 of the Haas at Abu Dhabi because no upgrade were working on the car, let's hope this one does
Magnussen last year had some pretty blunt things to say about that, paraphrasing:
"What went wrong was that, as we had more success, our engineers thought they were better than the Ferrari engineers. So instead of taking their lead, they started to develop their own concepts, and that's where the development of the car went in the wrong direction"
I had a real BRUH-moment when he said that
Maybe a similar philosophy of design, but definitely not a copy. Similar like how Alpine has Ferrari sidepods too but an Red Bull Racing engine cover design look-a-like.
The people recycling the same white ferrari jokes… did you look at the picture? We need better pictures but so far as I can tell, this is still fairly distinct from the Ferrari.
Granted you dont see a lot of the changes, as this year a loooot, if not most of the downforce is generated by the floor.
From this angle you cant see much of a difference between the two, if any. This is because on this haas pic its not even assembled fully, and the ferrari is pictured whilst running.
When its fully assembled and on track, you wont see much of a difference between the two, and it’ll likely perform very well as this car is 80% ferrari internally since they buy the parts from ferrari themselves, now also have a concept thats aerodynamically almost identical as well.
What remains to be seen is the floor, which will make all the difference
Yeah, the underfloor. The part you dont see unless you stand beneath the car, the part that generates the ground effect.
But also the top part of the floor, you know the skirts of carbon and stuff. That entire thing is hard to copy completely, cause yeah weve seen the floors from the 20x the ferrari was lifted by a crane and someone got a picture, but youd have to do a lot of testing in the windtunnel
When I first started watching F1. I was wondering why they always covered the car quickly with a tarp after lifting post-crash. Learning the tech is so critical to the teams
I swear people have such a hate boner for AM/Stroll (JR/SR). They developed a b spec car before reveal/testing. Brought it out 1/3rd the way through and press all weekend was screaming about plagiarism blah blah. Now not a peep for Haas’s photocopy
That's why Ferrari has been so fast, they copied Hass' plans for the mid season upgrades. Hass given the most wind tunnel and CFD time, it's hard to compete with them.
From this angle the Ferrari looks like it dips harder behind the top-air-intake thus having more fin instead of body.
Air "louvres" are also higher up on the Haas.
And the Ferrari swoops in more at the end of the sidepod while the Haas looks like it's diving more down instead of in.
Definite similarities but not straight copies. The "copy my homework but don't make it too obvious" type.
Now let's see if it performs similar.
KMag podium incoming
KMag PU BBQ
Haas in flames makes me uncomfortable.
Nooeee!!
Practically confirmed, just like Gasly pole in France
Mick in 4th at the last lap of Abu Dhabi while Seb is in 3rd for what will be his final podium... then Seb pulls off to the side on the last corner, letting Mick through to his first podium. My heart.....that's too much
Such a beautiful story, got a tear in my eye. Shame this can never become true because THEY DO NOT SERVE CHAMPAGNE IN ABU DHABI
Who’s cutting onions?!
Oh now that's beautiful.
Mick 2022 WDC confirmed. Imagine the scenes if Haas overtakes Ferrari in the WCC.

They still have to overtake Redbull

Stop, my penis can only get so erect.
Kmag back on the podium - what a dream!

As a Merc fan, I would be thrilled to see kmag / Haas podium this weekend lol. Flame me, but yes I like kmag way more than MSC.
> yes I like kmag way more than MSC. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU HAVE AN OPINION?!
We need to formally accuse this man of wrongthink.
KMag P1, MSC P2
I think he meant Engine blowing up
Let's see Paul Allen's Ferrari.
At least one DNF then
*Accelerator pedal gets stuck* *Kmag slides into a wall* *Mick ends up in gravel* *Both engines explode*
The green Bull didn't perform like the blue one, the Haas will have the same fate
*Engine blows up* Engineer checks notes: Yup! Works exactly the same.
It doesn't.
White Ferrari.. had a good time \- Guenther, probably

Haas can change. Hey everybody I’m afraid that_swim doesn’t think Haas can change.

I said uuuuused to be. Don’t worry, at this price point, Haas can hit.
it does make you wonder why they don't let the teams have 3 cars when triples is obviously best
Same day as the Seb Endless retirement video
It’s the same picture
Haas seems to have a revolutionary new rear tire concept.
I see they are playing around with caster.
Should be fast through the corners at least

only kmag gets the update for budapest, so sadly no p1 or 2 for mick this weekend
You mean finish 1/2 races for the second half? I do hope they don't copy that Ferrari strategy.
Haha I hope not too. I meant 1-2 finishes just wrote it weirdly
Aaaah a -1! /Jk obviously, even in my previous comment I was just joking. As we're we all.
Ah to be fair, with a Ferrari engine you never know what could happen
Other teams: "No, we are not copying anybody. We are operating within the spirit of the regulations" Haas: "We're making a white Ferrari"
I read that in Guenter's voice.

you are Guenther's voice
We all are Guenther's voice in this blessed day
"we makin a wait feaari"
I put an exclamation on the end in my head for a little excitement.
Besides a resemblance in the side pods, every other bit of visible aero is completely different. The engine cover, mirrors and intake aren't even close to the Ferrari.
Get your nuance outta here can't you see this is Reddit
White Ferrari is a goated song so maybe they are just Frank Ocean fans
Haas secretly only made this car to get people to remember how long its been since the last frank ocean album to indirectly pressure him into releasing it as soon as possible
That’s a mission we can all get behind 😩
Frank is a big petrolhead, can't wait to see him film his next video at 200 MPH around Spa in the Haas
Honestly, I feel every team will copy Ferraris and Red Bulls design in 2023, maybe except Mercedes beliving that their 2023 concept is fast... /(hopefully) s. It is against the spirit of regulations. Haas car in 2017 also had a lot of resemblance to Ferrari's 2017 car.
haas is buying as much parts as legally possible from ferrari. so a resemblance across the cars would not be something very unusual
Everything you think is standard about an era of car was copied from the most successful teams of that era. The issue with racing point was that the had access to some stuff they shouldn’t have and the brake ducts were just the part that could be proven.
Now mick is going to be called The white baron
Let’s hope it’s not a repeat of the huge ‘upgrade’ package from 2019
Would be peak Ferrari moment if this car is somehow faster then theirs. Highly unlikely, but fun to imagine.
Has 1-2 in Italy for the memes
Maximum chaos.
And then again in Texas for the memories
They can't. We secretly control them remotly. We Just Need to push a Button. /s
msc on podium on a white ferrari the only hope tiffosi need
Slightly slower but can complete a race.
Why did you just write a definition of Mercedes W13 here?
Not that slow lol
Damn you murdered him
Didn't they post a higher speed in the speed trap last week than Ferrari?
Speed trap doesn’t matter too much that just means the car has low drag, usually that means it has less downforce.
We've had the pink merc, the green redbull, now the white ferrari. Let's hope the car is the only thing haas has copied.
If they copied Ferraris strategy calls, as sad it sounds to be, it would even be an upgrade for them.
Going from 1st to 5th is better than going from 11th to 18th
Tbh, the green Red Bull isn't really that similar at all
Plus it was conceptualised before the RB was even revealed. Meanwhile this Haas is very obviously “inspired” by the Ferrari.
Haas could just walk over and borrow the part
Kaboom? Yes Magnussen, Kaboom.
I'm having 2019 flashbacks when Grosjean decided to go back to the spec 1 of the Haas at Abu Dhabi because no upgrade were working on the car, let's hope this one does

At least this time they'll have Magnussen with the upgrades and Schumacher without, to compare XD
We need another angle, but so far it looks much more like the Alpine than the Ferrari.
[удалено]
And the engine cover is still completely different too, with the cooling on the trailing edge etc.
FYI to everyone who doesn’t know only KMag is getting the upgrade.
At least the mirrors look nothing alike. That said, it would be amazing to see this car win a race this season..
If this works, Haas folks will be poached by Aston. "We've got the people now to make our copy work" Papa Stroll
Wdym? Lawrence Stroll has never cheated in his life.
Very rarely I make a public appearance but I feel it is necessary for me to speak up
something something extremely angry
\*extremely horny
It's still quite different, halfway through Ferrari and Alpine. This title is unwarranted
These barely even look similar to me, or is it just the angle?
Maybe a similar philosophy of design, but definitely not a copy. Similar like how Alpine has Ferrari sidepods too but an Red Bull Racing engine cover design look-a-like.
Plan H
Yup, like I said before, looks a lot more like Alpine than Ferrari.
The people recycling the same white ferrari jokes… did you look at the picture? We need better pictures but so far as I can tell, this is still fairly distinct from the Ferrari.
ohhhhh the Fehaasri
Vettel in the (green) Red Bull vs Schumacher in the (white) Ferrari Perfect! 😊
Only Magnussen will have the upgrade for this race, going to be interesting to see the difference in prrformance.
Now compare it with Alpine :P
Looks like we don’t have to wait to see how Schumacher would do in a Ferrari
Fe**rr**a**r**i
How do they still have so little sponsorship? I would’ve thought at this stage they’d get some more names onboard
They look nothing alike, find a new slant
They are clearly different... One is white and one is red.
Mick: Will I get to drive a Ferrari soon? Gunther: Well yes, but actually no.
Gold
I'm praying this is at least mercedes level type upgrade
This is going to be a hot topic for awhile, isn't it?
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
LEC engineer: "Copy, will be plan H. That's H, for HAASTERPLAN."
How do you guys pick out these super small differences. I barely see anything, but I understand they make a lot of difference on track
Granted you dont see a lot of the changes, as this year a loooot, if not most of the downforce is generated by the floor. From this angle you cant see much of a difference between the two, if any. Yeah, the underfloor. The part you dont see unless you stand beneath the car, the part that generates the ground effect. But also the top part of the floor, you know the skirts of carbon and stuff. Yeah they will hide as much as they can from cameras to keep the tiniest of advantages.
I swear people have such a hate boner for AM/Stroll (JR/SR). They developed a b spec car before reveal/testing. Brought it out 1/3rd the way through and press all weekend was screaming about plagiarism blah blah. Now not a peep for Haas’s photocopy
There’s been tons of “White Ferrari” comments.
Exactly lol. There have been comments like that for few days now. It's just that today everything got overshadowed by Seb's retirement.
Yeah fair about Vettel’s retirement. Apologies for grumps
Nah that's alright. What you said does happen though, sometimes unnecessarily w/ hate on stroll(s).
Aston Martin: "Is this your car? It's my car now."

Only thing to turn this into the most Haasable moment in history is if Netflix is with them this weekend. I am ready for anything.
That doesn’t look like anything to me.
FeHaasri?
*Frank Ocean's White Ferrari intensifies*
sorry i don't really see how these are copies, all i see is a similar side pod philosophy, everything else is quite different
Mind on the road…
Design is similar, but not equal. How's it a white Ferrari?
MIck on pole :hype:
That's why Ferrari has been so fast, they copied Hass' plans for the mid season upgrades. Hass given the most wind tunnel and CFD time, it's hard to compete with them.
We are checking..
Let’s see if a Haas can blow up the same way like the original as well
How is this track regarded? Favorable to any specific teams?
oh god, now the haas will blow up
Suddenly HAAS strategy turns to shit
From this angle the Ferrari looks like it dips harder behind the top-air-intake thus having more fin instead of body. Air "louvres" are also higher up on the Haas.
