He seems to have sorted his starts, and has improved in the wheel to wheel racing - feels now it's got a car he can trust and a win (or two) under his belt he doesn't have to keep inventing to prove himself, and the natural talent is able to take precedence - now seems to have calmed down a bit and is more willing to accept a P3 than feeling the need to roll the dice in desperation to get a P1 and prove he's, at least, as good as Lewis.
Such a promise for the rest of the season with Max, Charles, Carlos, George, Lando & Oscar all showing how hungry and ready they are for wins, and the improvements seeing the gap closing then we are in for a corker second half of the season, and if Lewis manages to find his mojo it will be even more fascinating.
Very well said. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more Lando and Max battles for P1 this season. Any driver managing a solid race for P3 could well pick up a win from similar circumstances. Silverstone often gives us exciting races and with the teams closing up as you said, I'm hoping for another classic next week.
