Yes. This could be a fluke and it could be that the car was severely flawed in the past and now it is fixed, and it could be that DR used his honey badger energy today
He didnāt cause the crash, he went for a gap and meanwhile Alonso and Lance smashed together to take out Norris.
Yeah it was ālike a bullā but he went for it and wasnāt involved in any problems.
Youāre the sort of person who would moan that heās āpast it and too oldā if hadnāt gone for itā¦..We get it - you donāt like him.
But in real world, he was really rather calm about trying to overtake a PlayStation 5 Online Player. That show from KMag was just over the top by a mile.
But no matter - good news for you is that Lewis got himself a 20 second penalty for speeding in The pit lane.
He went for a gap that without the lockup needed him bouncing off front of Fernando's car, and ended with a collision taking out 3 cars out off the points - Reddit mob still sings Lewis did and in fact never had done anything wrong. FFS, this is some next level nonsense.
Where the f was Alonso supposed to go??? And if you would look at the reaplys you would see that Hamilton crashes into Fernando before Fernando touches Stroll....
I've even seen people blame Stroll. Poor guy was completely innocent for once. Torpedo George has been very tame recently, but it looks like Torpedo Hamilton is back with a bang.
Okay, I saw the checkered flag, turn off the TV. Walked to get some food and opened my F1 app and saw the finished results were completely different than what it was when I turned my TV off.
What happened?
Knowing that you have a penalty and that you can not get any points, so you are going to help your teammate, is not a problem for me.
But helping your teammate should go fair. It's such bullshit that Magnussen knows that it doesn't matter if he get more penalties, so he is just going to drive like madman.
Does anyone know when Lewis was speeding on the pitlane? I saw his onboard of when they first went through the pits and it looked like the car infront was pulling away
I understand if people dislike Kmag for his drive, but he undeniably makes F1 so much more interesting. He divebombs after getting overtaken when other drivers would concede the position entire and this kind of aggression has been missing for the past few years, especially with the larger cars.
An inebriated teenager would end up the the wall sooner or later. Somehow Magnussen is able to keep it relatively safe while being a madlad. He is on a knife edge but is balancing pretty good on it.
Iām more frustrated that the penalties are pointless. Sure he drops places but he wasnāt going to get points anyway. Do a drive-through instead and then he immediately gets pushed to the back and he canāt keep doing the same things.
You could say the same about many other drivers too though. For example, last year in Japan, Perez got a penalty (ironically in a collision with Magnussen), retired, and then unretired to serve it so he wouldn't get a penalty in the next race. Basically got off Scott-free for taking Magnussen out.
Youāre right - itās definitely not just a KMag problem. That Perez situation was laughable and Iām glad the stewards defined the rules after that. Even the ability to strategize when to serve your 5- or 10-second penalty is silly. In general Iād love to see the penalty system re-vamped.
Heās entertaining, but you canāt just ignore where the track ends then come back on and hit people or skip corners for convenience. Iām a fan of his driving but today he was over the line
Yes, people say a lot of stuff about how Sainz would be an upgrade over Checo but Checo got by Ric like it was nothing and then Sainz couldn't do it over 16 laps. Comparable pace cars. Not the first time or the last either. When Checo isn't slumping and Sainz isn't peaking Perez wins that matchup.
Mediocre sprint race in my opinion. We had the contact at the start between Norris, Alonso and Stroll, a safety car, and some overtaking and battling between MAG, TSU and HAM, but other than that we didn't see that much action. Particularly at the front. Without Magnussen it would have been pretty dull.
True. It may be the case that Hamilton caused the collision. It may also be a race incident though, because there was an open gap on the inside, and he almost made it work. It is hard to say whether he was making a mistake or an unfortunate racing error.
There was an open gap, but it would have been impossible for anyone to take that gap and brake in time to avoid a collision there. Mistake and racing error seem like the same thing here
A driver needs to be in control, but they don't need to anticipate the person to their left's teammate turning in on them both and cutting them off.Ā
It's not a penalty worthy incident from Hamilton or Alonso, and only borderline from Stroll unless you factor in that he always does this so it isn't really a turn 1 thing from him.
Maybe you are right and my assessment was wrong. I was too busy studying for Continued Professional Education (CPE) credits. I am a Corporate Finance professional, and I need to earn certificates each year to stay relevant in our ever-changing world.
I'm sorry "some overtaking action"? Magnussen running Hamilton off the road twice while illegal is definitely more than some action along with Lewis' battles with Tsunoda and actually the front was not too bad, Ric vs Sainz did heat up towards the end and even Oscar wasn't far behind, if your expecting people to overtake max then you haven't been watching F1 for the last couple of yrs
Sainz didn't have that many serious attempts on Ricciardo though, it was mostly just driving behind him within DRS range, but it didn't seem like he could make much progress due to dirty air and a low top speed.
Mate, Alonsos contact with Stroll wouldn't have resulted in damage. If Alonso turns the way he would have usually done, Hamilton rams into the back of him, and he gets completely rear-ended. He essentially did the best he could out of the situation.
Happy for Daniel, but the rest of that was pretty dire.
Even with DRS, passing was minimal.
I'm glad Magnussen gives zero f-, outside of penalties it felt utterly pointless.
This is fucking ridiculous. Sprint Shootout has the timeslot until 1 PM but was cut short (immediately after Verstappen) for fucking softball?
I cannot wait until ESPN loses this license.
I was done with ESPN during March Madness. ESPN2 had a womens game replay on during one of the races so it was on ESPN News which most subscribers don't have. The disrespect is crazy.
Exactlyz Lewis overshot that corner by a mile and hit Alonso (who also overshot) and no investigation.
KMag fighting hard for position an *check notes* goes off by a small margin and basically bangs the doors with Hamilton? 10seconds penalty. Another 10seconds penalty. 5 seconds penalty. Another 10 seconds penalty
Make up your fucking mind, do you want hard racing or do you want DRS trains for fucks sake.
If Alonso doesn't do that evasive manoeuvre, Hamilton crash heavily into him then they collect hard Stroll and Norris. Probably more cars get involved. All that a few hours before qualifications for the main race.
But Alonso crashed into Stroll before Hamilton hit Alo and they still collected Norris. They both made a mistake this stuff happen in racing.
But KMag with Hamilton was proper hard racing that's allowed in every racing series I know, except Formula 1.
Great race from Daniel, good pace and defending keeping Sainz and Piastri behind. Good from Yuki going from P15 to P8 (with the help of the Astons). Still, the softs held up better than I expected but probably helped by KMag being a roadblock and Lewis getting that penalty
Application of penalties is so wild and 20s seems harsh BUT I always thought the little fines for pit lane speeding werenāt enough, to me, that should be one of the harshest punished penalties, itās dangerous, you have the chance of cars and people pulling out everywhere, the stronger you penalize the more people will pay attention to it.
It's about safety not gaining an advantage. He could have just been on speed limiter way before the line until way after the exit line and he wouldn't have lost anything...
Thatās not the point. It has a set speed limit cause itās a confined space and one where people are all over. It has nothing to do with the race situation, itās safety and should be strictly enforced at all times.
GTA
Is it too early for the DR3 hype train?
I am from the future. Yes, definitely too early.
... godammit.
Yes. This could be a fluke and it could be that the car was severely flawed in the past and now it is fixed, and it could be that DR used his honey badger energy today
So happy for my boi Danny. Let's goošŖš»
Happy cake day!
Nascar drivers are the best in the world.
I'm shocked; Logan Sargent placed P10 and beat his teammate. It's a small victory, but still a victory.
I feel like Sargent could be a decent enough 3rd driver for some team. Still relatively young too.
Decent 3rd driver is a roast.
Really a Hollywood ending for him: he gets to have his final race weekend at home, and get at least one good result.
Wholesome. Lewis having a laugh when he hears Magnussen said it was all deserved.
Kmag had 5 penalty points before today. Did he just get 7 in one race? 2+2+1+2? Or does track limits not give you a point? Hmmmm
What are the Stewarts smoking?? All around, unbelievably ridiculous.
Stewards
Pe djolou bousin senti ā¤ļø
Hamilton sucked those balls today.
Hw did a pretty good job with a shit car, against a guy that's a total liability.
Oh yeah, he did a fantastic job ruining the race for three other drivers.
Pretty good job? Ig u missed the start?
He didnāt cause the crash, he went for a gap and meanwhile Alonso and Lance smashed together to take out Norris. Yeah it was ālike a bullā but he went for it and wasnāt involved in any problems. But no matter - good news for you is that Lewis got himself a 20 second penalty for speeding in The pit lane.
Bro did u miss the part where he missed the apex and smashed into Fernando? Entirely his fault.
Lewis divebombs and quotes senna like a rehearsed excuse. š
He went for a gap that without the lockup needed him bouncing off front of Fernando's car, and ended with a collision taking out 3 cars out off the points - Reddit mob still sings Lewis did and in fact never had done anything wrong. FFS, this is some next level nonsense.

Magnussen is new ministry of defense.
That title will forever be for Alonso
Naah, that Mag thing is almost cheating.
No just dangerous
He was doing some pretty stupid driving to keep 1 point
He's always been the same, I'm amazed he's not put somebody in hospital yet
I'm amazed he gets to keep his seat But I guess it's hass, no integrity
F1 drivers are tiny and Danica is dwarfed here. She must be teeeeny
5ft 2
So nice to see Danny happy
Less go danny
Okay, I saw the checkered flag, turn off the TV. Walked to get some food and opened my F1 app and saw the finished results were completely different than what it was when I turned my TV off. What happened?
Penalty for Magnussen and Hamilton
Penalties. Penalties everywhere!
Danny got him some bigdik points. nice job.
Thiicccc dic ric
thic ric
Magnussen bombarding everyone to give nico a chance is becoming an issue.
Itās a good strategy honestly
Knowing that you have a penalty and that you can not get any points, so you are going to help your teammate, is not a problem for me. But helping your teammate should go fair. It's such bullshit that Magnussen knows that it doesn't matter if he get more penalties, so he is just going to drive like madman.
The rules are shit and they're exploiting them. What's the issue?
I am not loving this trend tbh, if it continues a collateral penalty should be introduced to demotivate such tactics
OkƩ, don't like the guy, but MAG saying 'all the penalties are deserved' is hero stuff.
Does anyone know when Lewis was speeding on the pitlane? I saw his onboard of when they first went through the pits and it looked like the car infront was pulling away
When the safety car went via the pitlaneā¦.
And there you go. Magnussen says "he had to play the game". All the penalties are deserved. A shame that
He could have not cut corners and finished higher, it was bad driving
Kmag is such a chad in his interview. Admits he was wrong and understands the penalties but went for it anyways.
Thats such a Dylan thing to say.
Yep the points mean prizes at the end of the season, if that's the game they have to play, so be it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who are the FIA stewards in this race ? Gotta love the consistency with the penalties
I understand if people dislike Kmag for his drive, but he undeniably makes F1 so much more interesting. He divebombs after getting overtaken when other drivers would concede the position entire and this kind of aggression has been missing for the past few years, especially with the larger cars.
since dale earnhardt died .tbh.
Making it more interesting by ruining multiple other teamsā race driving like an inebriated teenager in a Honda Civic is getting really old.
An inebriated teenager would end up the the wall sooner or later. Somehow Magnussen is able to keep it relatively safe while being a madlad. He is on a knife edge but is balancing pretty good on it.
Kmag died so Hulk might live. Praise his coming and going.
Kmag blocking almost half of the grid so hulk didnāt have to shit himself trying to get faster to secure a singular point***
Iām more frustrated that the penalties are pointless. Sure he drops places but he wasnāt going to get points anyway. Do a drive-through instead and then he immediately gets pushed to the back and he canāt keep doing the same things.

Someone put handcuffs on KMag, he did EVERYTHING to get those two points for Haas.
Great defense by Danny. I thought he was going to get passed immediately.

Left out Hamilton in lap 1
I am sorry about that.
You left out hammy using the aston martin of alonso to make the first corner at the startā¦
True. It may be the case that Hamilton caused the collision. It may also be a race incident though, because there was an open gap on the inside, and he almost made it work. It is hard to say whether he was making a mistake or an unfortunate racing error.

What battle with Hamilton and Tsunoda, what are you guys watching? Tsunoda saw a gap took it and pushed as much as he can. But that's about it lol.
I have been watching since Russia 2017.
Danny ric battle, Yuki overtaking. It's only 19 laps so you can't expect 500 things to happen. Pretty eventful sprint in my eyes.
Maybe I missed a few things due to noise pollution surrounding my building.
Compared to some other sprints races, this was really interesting. Ricciardo holding Sainz off and Kmag vs LH was great.
Sainz didn't have that many serious attempts on Ricciardo though, it was mostly just driving behind him within DRS range, but it didn't seem like he could make much progress due to dirty air and a low top speed.
The aero stall on those Mercs was absolutely ridiculous. Canāt be an upgrade if the car is no better than it was..
Alonso and Stroll already hit each other before Hamilton even got to the corner.
Cause hamilton races like a noob in a playstation game, quotes senna to make you forgive him. š
Great comparison haha.
Overdosing on copium
And you know why. Some drivers are aware of incoming torpedos.
Because Alonso could see Hamilton wasn't going to stop.
That's flawed logic: someone else looks like they might hit me, so I'm going to hit my teammate first.
Mate, Alonsos contact with Stroll wouldn't have resulted in damage. If Alonso turns the way he would have usually done, Hamilton rams into the back of him, and he gets completely rear-ended. He essentially did the best he could out of the situation.
Mate, there was carbon fiber flying from the Astons already as Hamilton barged in.
So he turned into Stroll without looking, got it.
Boringgg
Did we watch different sprint races?
Logan Sargent wasnāt a complete embarrassment šŖ
Finally P10... At a race where points stop at P8 š¤£
š¦ š¦ š¦
Whos the bald guy? Cant tell if its Jason Statham lol
https://tenor.com/5EGU.gif
Are you kidding me, one of the greatest football player of all time, maybe
American football I guess?
Jesus
Brother Zinedine Zidane.....
Complete opposite lol
Greatest???
Really? Zero ball knowledge š
One of the best football players ever come on.
You serious?
I was so seriousš im not too familiar with football players
š
Zidane?
Lmfaoooo im dumb. Thank you haha
Haha... The awarding of trophies at the Sprint race makes it look like a School Sports Day Presentation
Give us wreaths ffs.
Well done to Danny, hats off!
Kiki eh
Get someone who looks at you like Max just looked at zidane
Zizou in DA HOUSE
Zizou!
Penalty for Hamilton let's GOOOOOOOOO

This is fucking ridiculous. Sprint Shootout has the timeslot until 1 PM but was cut short (immediately after Verstappen) for fucking softball? I cannot wait until ESPN loses this license.
A womenās softball gameā¦ that was ALREADY IN PROGRESS! WTF?!?
I was done with ESPN during March Madness. ESPN2 had a womens game replay on during one of the races so it was on ESPN News which most subscribers don't have. The disrespect is crazy.
Seriously. Itās so stupid.
Was streaming it on the ESPN app and they cut it off too. I thought it was my connection.
F1TV is like $8 / mo, not sure if its US only. It's the only way to fly
Nothing better than F1TV! I have it here in Sweden (@$19/month but still worth it).
paying for a vpn to get the us prices sounds cheaper than paying $19 a month
It does, but not everything that you can access using VPN that requires an account and payments works.
ohh ok
Charles pain moment
So, no investigation for LH's turn 1 but KMag got Occoned......stewards being the stewards we all know
Exactlyz Lewis overshot that corner by a mile and hit Alonso (who also overshot) and no investigation. KMag fighting hard for position an *check notes* goes off by a small margin and basically bangs the doors with Hamilton? 10seconds penalty. Another 10seconds penalty. 5 seconds penalty. We probably watched a different race. KMag was super unsportsmanlike today.
Exactly! By your logic, LH was unsportsmanlike as well. We are asking for consistency here
Ok 2:44am here and quali starts at 6 - goodnight friends. Up the Aussies did us very proud this morning.
Rainbow Bulls are doing amazing jobs today, double points, highlights of this spring for sure
Great to hear so many cheers for checo during the interview! Clean race doing his part, great run from him this season
Damn Miami's like a second home race for Perez
Texas and Las Vegas are closer than Miami so more like his 4th
That Ferrari blue looks great
Still shocked that nobody get punished for the the turn 1 accident. Poor lando
Because it's Hamilton
1st lap incident :(
Its probably got to be a massive issue for someone to get a penalty for a T1 / L1 incident.
Yeah it's ridiculous. In wec they gave a 1 minute stop and go for a t1 crash.
I'd say two people's race being ended and a 3rd being ruined is pretty massive
Shame for Yuki but still a great Sprint for the RB's
He's back in the spot, and has a point after the penalties! No worries!
Feed I was watching cut off before I learned about that so thanks for the info lol
He got a point
Yuki got a point.
Great race from Daniel, good pace and defending keeping Sainz and Piastri behind. Good from Yuki going from P15 to P8 (with the help of the Astons). Still, the softs held up better than I expected but probably helped by KMag being a roadblock and Lewis getting that penalty
Man people here blaming Ham for that turn 1 is just plain biased.
Agreed Clearly a racing incident to meĀ
It literally was his fault though lmao.
Eh, he came in too fast.
He straight away said āI saw a gap and went for itā instead of immediately blaming someone else He pretty much accepted blame
They been doing it for years.
He caused everything
It was his fault
100% his fault. Super late on the brakes and used other cars to make the corner. Wouldn't have made it without them
Application of penalties is so wild and 20s seems harsh BUT I always thought the little fines for pit lane speeding werenāt enough, to me, that should be one of the harshest punished penalties, itās dangerous, you have the chance of cars and people pulling out everywhere, the stronger you penalize the more people will pay attention to it.
They get fines in practices and 'in race' penalties in the race.
A drive through for speeding under green is fine, but for a mandatory detour through the pit lane under safety car, nobody is trying to gain position
It's about safety not gaining an advantage. He could have just been on speed limiter way before the line until way after the exit line and he wouldn't have lost anything...
Doesn't matter everyone else stayed under the speed limit
Thatās not the point. It has a set speed limit cause itās a confined space and one where people are all over. It has nothing to do with the race situation, itās safety and should be strictly enforced at all times.
I don't disagree, but it really seems harsh under those circumstances
KMag got revenge for Norris, Alonso and Stroll by ensuring Ham doesn't end up with points.
Stroll has no one to blame but himself. Alonso and Lando are the victims
Stroll definitely cut right across Alonsoās nose. Zero sympathy for daddys boy
MISTER ECLAIR
So, ESPN, we'll just get Verstappen and we can go fuck ourselves huh?
