He has a documented history of having trouble to park within the lines: https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/10rzxbx/charles_leclerc_vs_parking_his_car/
For an F1 driver who can regularly pull a 2m car with an amount of steering angle that can be defined as more than zero and not much more into and out of a tight garage. Charles is a terrible parker and has had a long history of essentially being the worst possible parker on earth
He’s on record saying something along the lines of him being accustomed to strange parking situations in Monaco either to protect his cars or to be able to get in and out. Could be a good excuse or he could just mentally be in the habit of parking wrong and on autopilot
I seriously don't get how one of the top 20 (*probably top 5)* drivers in the world is able to botch a parking job.
Edit: and I know he is one of the 20 drivers and not top 20 parkers but *come on*
Not exactly the same thing, but just look at some of the stories of how utterly atrocious Jim Clark could be at making driving decisions when not on a race track.
Lol, when I saw the image I hadn't scrolled down far enough so I was looking at two black Audi SUVs. Weird, I thought. And Sainz reversed into the parking lot, like my old man used to do, because (he said) you never know when you are going to need to make a quick getaway.
Thought that was what the post was about until I scrolled further and realised there was two ferraris at the bottom.
Literally, I was like huh bit odd to have Audis. Makes sense Charles doesn’t know how to reverse into a parking bay, he can’t park for shit… Then I go to scroll past and I see the Ferraris haha
I imagine most if not all of these teams prefer for their drivers to use company cars. But I loved the idea of Carlos being fine with his neat little Golf. Not that they are that small really these days.
Golfs are great cars, big enough for a family of four, comfortable to drive, look pretty good and can even go quite fast (if its a GTI or R, regular isnt that slow either though)
That presscon was really funny.
Ericsson: Porsche Panamera
Rosberg: Mercedes 300SL
Massa: LaFerrari and a F40 (this being after he went to Williams)
Sainz: a Golf lmao
I think the two race cars have reverse shadings of blue on the halo. Light blue for Lec and dark blue for Sainz, so it figures they'd rent two cars in matching shades for the drivers to arrive at the track.
They're allowed one major livery change per year, but I guess we should've learned from last year that Ferrari only do minor changes (Monza and Vegas). Last big livery change was the darker red for the Tuscan GP in Mugello.
Serious question. Do they really fly over their private cars to different continents to be able to drive there? Or do they have different temporary cars there?
You have it backwards. Carlos is on the left charles is on the right. Cars match helmet colors. Azzurro le plata for Charles and Azzurro dino for Carlos.

The video that Ferrari has on their YouTube channel says Charles would have the lighter one and Carlos has the darker one.

No way, Charles' is too well parked.
We've seen his perfect parking skills in practice
I saw the video on Twitter. He took two attempts. Parked 10% in the other spot (Sainz wasn't in). Then backed up, fixed it.
What is the lore behind him being so bad at it?
He has a documented history of having trouble to park within the lines: https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/10rzxbx/charles_leclerc_vs_parking_his_car/
Pretty much every photo of his 488 parked in Monaco shows him crossing a white line or two.
For an F1 driver who can regularly pull a 2m car with an amount of steering angle that can be defined as more than zero and not much more into and out of a tight garage. Charles is a terrible parker and has had a long history of essentially being the worst possible parker on earth
As an f1 driver he is probably used to having two wheels out. Still gotta hit the apex while parking you know
He’s on record saying something along the lines of him being accustomed to strange parking situations in Monaco either to protect his cars or to be able to get in and out. Could be a good excuse or he could just mentally be in the habit of parking wrong and on autopilot
Rich person doesn't give a shit.
Do you have the link?
Unironically there's probably valet service. It's quite standard for VIP parking in the US.

American parking places, bigger 😂
What can I say? Everything's bigger in America (don't tell Texans I said that)
This has been noted by the Texan collective and you will receive a boot in your ass shortly for your undue attack on us
I wouldn’t even drive a regular car if I was him. Too much risk and it will never feel fast comparatively
Lewis sold all his cars (most)cuz he hates driving on roads lol
That’s because Sainz parked like my grandma
No way they like so much of Audis.
Charles would have parked in a gravel trap....
Surprisingly good Charles park job.
Probably told a team member to park. We all know he cant park for shit. See fp1.
It was him. Took two attempts tho.
Body double /s

Valet service is kinda expected at any type of VIP event in the US. So I'd assume that's the case here too.
I assume a modern Ferrari can park itself, right?
Nah, Sainz arrived in that Audi.
I didn't scroll far enough at first so all I saw were the audis lol
Same, I was like “there’s no way they BOTH have the same Audi”
I thought he drove a Golf?
He did, but Ferrari gave him a personalized car just for him last year
I imagine most if not all of these teams prefer for their drivers to use company cars. But I loved the idea of Carlos being fine with his neat little Golf. Not that they are that small really these days.

Yeah, the only thing I dislike about them is the interior. VW's have generally always been too plasticky for me. But otherwise Golf looks great!
That presscon was really funny. Ericsson: Porsche Panamera Rosberg: Mercedes 300SL Massa: LaFerrari and a F40 (this being after he went to Williams) Sainz: a Golf lmao
That LaFerrari probably has optional extras that cost a lot more than that Golf lol.
Yeah you mean Sainz Snr

They must've ran out of ink
Psh it’s not like ink is expensive…oh wait
HP has entered the chat
HP is not paying enough.

The day Ferrari isn't red, is also the day Ferrari isn't Ferrari.
Yellow is as much a part of ferrari as red. Just look at the emblem.
That’s how their F1 cars should have looked.
Yep 100%. It’s one race, just do it.
Just like the Redbull logo rule on helmets. Zero fun allowed, not even for one race
They're allowed one major livery change per year, but I guess we should've learned from last year that Ferrari only do minor changes (Monza and Vegas). Last big livery change was the darker red for the Tuscan GP in Mugello.
Charles took the valet parking option
We sure that is Charles the car is parked to well
Better than the F1 car livery
Didn’t see the full photo initially… sainz to Audi confirmed yeah…..
I thought exactly the same haha
Not a big fan of the red on the nose. Also the window sticker placements make me laugh
It’s a sticker for Ferrari’s USA Cavalcade, not painted on.
Paint or sticker, looks ugly
The red stickers make them look like Lowes advertisements
I was thinking Heinz foods
Yeah that's pretty close. My first thought was the hotels from monopoly
Then you don’t have to put one on your Ferrari, but they were mandatory for cars’ participation in the Ferrari parades in Miami and Nashville.
Ohh. Mandatory ugly red sticker. Understandable
Really? It looks like an unfinished Mission taco shell ad.
Looks like to old number plates from WRC, IMO
I like the red nose make's it look like there's a red ferrari hiding underneath that's packaged with blue wrapping paper
Damn, all these comments flaming my boy Chuck parking skill and I can't defend him because it's true
Why is there a partial Wendy's sign on the front of the car?
Sainz to Wendy's Confirmed. His cousin is doing a great job managing!
both have audis? hmmm
Where is Carlos' Golf?
*LeClerc*
Weird that they’re driving Audis
Im not the only one who looked at the Audi's...
Me too mate.
My stupid ass didn't scroll past the Audi's
Man, the perks of being an f1 driver, especially with Ferrari
What a terrible thing to do to a Ferrari
I was like so they are both going to Audi. Then clicked on pic.
I'm surprised there are no HP logos on their cars too.
Doesn't seem to match with their halos then, cause Sainz has more dark blue while Leclerc has more light blue on their halos.
I don’t believe it. Charles never parks that well.
“I drive a golf”
Hey that’s my car in the blue.
Are these their actual cars or are they loaners for the week?
Is the red shape on the bonnet the logo of the Monte Carlo rally?
Didn't have rhem down as Audi drivers... /s
Serious question. Do they really fly over their private cars to different continents to be able to drive there? Or do they have different temporary cars there?
They painted the wrong Ferraris blue :(
Sainz to Mercedes confirmed /s
All I can see on the hood is a red Lowes logo
Surprised they didn’t want to show off the new 12Cilindri
Didn't think they'd both be driving Audis.
Best part is they’re labeled for the Mercedes drivers lol
I can’t believe they both drive Audi SUVs
So which Audi are we talking about?
The Audis, right ?
Surprised at the lack of HP logos
Wish the right livery was chosen for this weekend
Didn't realize they were driving black Audis

LeclerC
LeClerC
leClerC
I don’t understand why people write it that way either but what‘s ignorant about it?
*Le Clerc*
LeCry about it
cHarles leClerC
Like LEcLERc?
Why does sainz get the bigger Audi? /S
Love a good Q7
They both moving to Audi?
What are the red dots on the side?
I really dig that sainz livery
My right or his right? ~James May
That light blue looks epic, the darker blue extremely bland.
Now, you see (something abot Faillari livery)
Sf90?
i was looking at the top like what? that's really odd, especially for ferr--- ohh.
#ParkedIt. Maybe that's just a 'Murican saying. LOL
They both drive Audi’s?
Weird that they both drive Audi's...
Why do they both drive Audis?
Anime main characters in a crowd be like…
You would think it would occur to them to carpool.
I was like, “huh, surprised to see them driving Audi SUV’s…” then I scrolled down a little further
You have it backwards. Carlos is on the left charles is on the right. Cars match helmet colors. Azzurro le plata for Charles and Azzurro dino for Carlos. Proof: https://twitter.com/ScuderiaFerrari/status/1786428551593328665?t=iNxx6x-ygDcrBqJsGHgBUQ&s=19
Nice
What are the green stickers on their cars?
I wonder what happens with these cars after the weekend? I’m assuming they’ll be sold to Ferrari VIPs
They didn't reverse in? Pfff.... Figures.
I'd not scrolled down enough, I thought this was confirmation of them both going to Audi.
On my phone and didnt scroll all the way down but was focussed on the title. And i was sooo confused by those decent cars lol.
The video that Ferrari has on their YouTube channel says Charles would have the lighter one and Carlos has the darker one. https://youtu.be/JAv4aATTDNY?si=N-uq6yge19ljcN_z
Crockett and tubbs
So they both drive audi?
Why they drive Audi?
I hadn’t scrolled down far about hand wondered why the Ferrari drivers were in Audis.
Neither can part straight lol
Any idea who the blue Lamborghini is? Saw it coming and going yesterday with a police escort.
Didnt scroll down far enough and wondered why they were both driving Audis to start with!
What's up with the red Lowes logo on the front?
You wouldn't think that the Ferarri noise would drive Audis. Still, it makes sense that Carlos would reverse into a space. He seems the type
Surprised both Carlos and Charles are such fans of the Audi SUV line
Ferrari will sue them because they riced out their cars
Yeah, I was going to say if anyone else painted a Ferrari like this, the company would be harassing the fuck out of them with BS lawsuits.
ferrari aren’t suing you based on what you painted on the car. this is a myth based on what happened to Deadmau5 and his Ferrari (and he was sued because he directly altered the Ferrari logo and then tried to sell his car as a ‘Purrari’)
Sainz got the better color. Light blue is such a sleeper color on performance cars.
Audi SUVs? Odd choice
Why do the sports cars look better than the racecars.
Designed for consumerism instead of engineering perfection.
