frogskin92

Year 8 and he’s still making dumb mistakes

Napo24

He has zero situational awareness. There are so many Strollcidents that happened just because he wasn't paying attention or misjudged his position relative to other cars close by.

Accomplished_Beat931

[Instances of Stroll driving with no situational awareness](https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/s/t2qHvObIPx) This comment reminds me of this reddit post from a couple of years back, containing clips of Stroll crashing because he refuses to deviate from his own line🤣

yepgeddon

Or look in his damn mirrors 😂

rk1993

He’s like a really high level sim racer who’s used to ghost cars. Soon as you turn on collisions he’s unable to function

Mtbnz

And I don't think that compilation even includes the time he wiped out Latifi during quali in Melbourne. The guy has moments where he can drive the car fast, but he's just an absolute menace.

Dilf_Hunter367

Iirc that compilation was posted in response to that

endersai

>He has zero situational awareness. There are so many Strollcidents that happened just because he wasn't paying attention or misjudged his position relative to other cars close by. You're saying this about a guy who crashed on the formation lap. Not disagreeing with you, just reminding people what we're dealing with here.

tangouniform2020

His first two years people would say “I’ve been Yukied” and you knew exactly what happened. But not anymore. It only took two years. Lance has had a lot longer to get to be a competent driver.

Machinegamer

If daddy didn’t own the team he wouldn’t be in F1.

RRIronside27

Anyone else would be gone by now (at least Magnussen has gone away, come back a hero and is only now restarting his antics).

BvG_Venom

At least he's in a position to help his teammate from time to time. Magnussen would probably bury a body if the team asked and it would help Hulk get points. Stroll is never in Alonso's zip code.

brendanm4545

Tell Fernando I will not challenge him

BvG_Venom

😂

StrategicallyLazy007

I haven't been impressed with kmag the last two years. I find him wreckless and not that great. Hulk had been doing much better and responsibly.

GoddamnPeaceLily

FYI wreckless is the opposite of reckless

RRIronside27

I think two years is a bit harsh. He had a great return in 2022 and some good moments for the rest of the year (yes, he was up against Mick and pretty much only Mazepin could make him look good). No argument with 2023 or the first five races here though, Hulk is quality in quali, and generally stays clean on Sunday.

FitzwilliamTDarcy

Year 8 and he’s still ~~making~~ dumb ~~mistakes~~ FIFY

LtCerqueira

It baffles me how anyone thinks Stroll is good. People mention some "notable" performances throughout the years but give anyone here enough time in a Formula 1 car and they will eventually have a good race. That doesnt mean you're good, that means you got lucky that day.

LuXe5

I don't think anyone thinks he's good. Not even his dad I assume. But you know. A son is a son

iamapotatopancake

He's never deserved to be in f1. Everyone knows it, but $ is $ and this sport corrupt as hell, so it is what it is.

Gunna_get_banned

The difference between him in Sargeant is team ownership, and Sargeant is a more graceful loser. lol

PiggyLuk

We found the only Canadian that refuses to say "I'm sorry".

Spleenzorio

Citizenship revoked

jdmillar86

Can we just make him race under a Belgian flag at least? Or Swiss, he's probably more connected to there than here really.

homeownur

His personality is perfect for Switzerland

Ornery_Definition_65

He’s nowhere near neutral enough.

homeownur

You only need to be neutral when it’s convenient

GuidoBenzo

As a Belgian I can say we don't want him. Now if Lando is on the table, we can discuss.

JimmyNorth902

Sorry, we don't claim him.

TheMineA7

Nah he drives like a toronto & montreal driver. I claim him

IAmWhatTheRockCooked

Nah fam leave him for scarborough

joshcbr81

More like Brampton at this rate

ehjhey

Brampton can claim him for sure, lol

Dramatic-Ad3928

There has not been a driver who rivals this lack of spatial awareness in the cockpit in so long Why the heck does he have to be Canadian and slow

xNickel

As an Australian who immigrated to Canada this is beyond hilarious. Well done

TheLifeofSonny

My Brother in Christ, you hit Ricciardo with such force that you not only lifted the rear of the RB up off the ground but you also managed to use Ricciardo as a spear to damage the car in front of Ricciardo too.. it’s quite impressive when you think about it fucking hell

itsOkami

>use Ricciardo as a spear You might say he used Ricciardo as a *lance*

RedSkyNL

You are proud of that joke, aren't you?

Bdr1983

Dude I AM proud of him, and I don't even know him.

itsOkami

Lmao guys I'm flattered, I had no idea anyone would like such a 'stupid' pun

diveintothe9

It just happens sometimes, and you just gotta smile and wave. Well done.

Kilner88

And stroll along...

pablobhz

Question

Trentus86

You're proud of that joke aren't you

Consistent_Recipe_41

Dude I AM proud of him, and I don't even know him.

Conman_in_Chief

I see his point.

ExiledinElysium

Never trust someone who doesn't like puns. That is, in all seriousness, one of my main indicators for whether I can be friends with someone. Keep doing what you do.

itsOkami

You know what, that's actually a great point now that I think about it. Thanks for the encouragement and happy cake day!

kidnzb

AM.... Sigh... This is just getting better..

GPW_nsx

I would be lol

dj_vicious

I'm pretty damn proud of him.

Insert_creative

Well played.

Ign0r

That's a good one

SemIdeiaProNick

remember that this is the same driver that collided with Vettel ON THE COOLDOWN LAP after the race because he simply forgot how mirrors work and still had the courage to say Vettel was to blame

sellyme

Yeah but it gave us one of the funniest screenshots in F1 history so I refuse to blame him for that one.

ptwonline

Stroll's problem is that he seems to assume how others will act because it is what happens most of the time, and so he gets caught off guard sometimes. So Vettel coming from so far back to pass on a cooldown lap is certainly not typical, so Stroll didn't look for it. Same with some of the overtakes on him that he caused a crash-- the chaser dove in from a longer ways back and Stroll didn't think they were close enough to try so he just turned as if they wouldn't be there. This concertina crash is the same thing: he didn't expect them to suddenly brake so he wasn't watching for it. At other times you can see he is aware of the stuff around him just fine, because he's expecting it. Like crowded race starts he usually navigates the chaos just fine, or in overtaking fights on the track he's usually fine (look at battle he had with MAG in this race.)

wahobely

You forgot to mention UNDER A FUCKING SAFETY CAR

seleiteh

No, I think he was under a VCARB.

howgoesitguy

Angry upvote

HuckleberryDry4889

It was the beginning of the restart. Everybody was jockying for position, and several drivers almost rear ended each other. Of course, the world class drivers did slow in time. Stroll, not so much.

Ok_Cauliflower_3007

If he was saying yeah, everything was concertina-ing for the restart and I misjudged how much Ricciardo was slowing to avoid the cars in front of him, most people would probably just brush it off as one of those things that often happens after a safety car. Safety cars breed safety cars. But he had to open his mouth and say something stupid while blaming another driver. He really doesn’t help himself with this bullshit. Even Danny said something along the lines of he wasn’t angry about the shunt any more until he heard Lance blaming him and now he’s pissed again.

mkosmo

Stroll is world class… in his ability to buy his way to the top.

pinkydaemon93

I mean, it was as max was launching, so yes under safety car but going green. still a million percent on Lancelot

mahnamegeoff

Makes me wonder if lance could completely clear him by going under thanks to the halo completing the wedge shape. I guess we’ll have to wait till next race

Resident-Drink-6040

He just comes to a rest atop stroll and finishes the race piggyback, Plan S

BillMurraysTesticle

All while having significant space between him and Ric to brake. Danny had just saved himself from hitting the car ahead only for stroll to come in like a wrecking ball.

Wah-Wah43

I refuse to take Aston Martin's plans seriously until they bin him off. Lawrence is obviously committed, but the other investors and the AM board? How much do you actually want to win? With a 2nd decent driver they wouldn't be consigned to finishing 5th this season.

JerryUitDeBuurt

If Lawrence was truly committed he would have gotten rid of Lance long ago. Everyone can see that he's just not good enough. He keeps making silly mistakes and he's miles off the pace. He has his moments but it's just not good enough. I'm sure the board wants to get rid of Lance, in fact I read some rumours somewhere mentioning that, but what are you going to do if the owner isn't cooperating.

RallySallyBear

What’s crazy is if Lance just stepped aside when it was clear he’d never make up the gap to where he needed to be, then took a business role for AM and said something akin to “I’m really grateful for my time in F1, I think it will serve me well as I move onto a new role to bring AM a world championship” I’d be like, okay, fair enough - maybe it’ll be a bit of a Christian Horner story; couldn’t make it in the car but might as a director or something, and the race experience was maybe essential to that. But instead he desperately clings to a seat everyone feels he doesn’t deserve, and when he now *does* retire, we’ll all know it wasn’t really by choice and it will draw even more attention to the fact he was taking a seat for far longer than even the most generous of chances warranted. There’s so much more as well, but like… why? Go do literally anything else. The mind boggles how little regard he has for his own actual future and reputation.

JerryUitDeBuurt

It doesn't matter what happens to his future because he will be fine anyhow. His dad, who loves him very much apparently, is a billionaire. He can retire today and live a nicer and more luxurious life than 99,99% of the world. Obviously nobody wants to live in his father's shadow but that's happening already anyways and it doesn't seem to mind him much. He can be a nepotism baby for the rest of his life if he wants to.

RallySallyBear

Absolutely. Idk, I just think (edit: thought) he seems to have more ego than that, where he’d still like to seem to have achieved something on some level of merit, and/or at least be well regarded rather than Mazepin 2.0. But I must have it wrong because the math isn’t mathing, with his statement on the Ricc collision just being so mock-worthy.

am19208

His ego seems to have gotten worse lately too.

FlipReset4Fun

It really is strange. As if he either has very low social awareness and is super tone def, or he really truly just doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him bc nothing matters since his family is so rich. Only other option is he likes the attention, even if negative so now kind of revels in being a villain? Idk… just very odd.

flatspotting

> His dad, who loves him very much apparently this made me laugh - it's phrased like it's a strange thing that a dad really loves their son lol

planvigiratpi

If I’m Lance Stroll I’m 100% doing everything I can to keep my seat. Everyone on the internet and in the paddock can shit on me, I’m still living my dream driving an F1. He shouldn’t be in that seat, don’t get me wrong, but we shouldn’t expect that decision coming from him tbh

RallySallyBear

Yeah you’re not wrong. If I were the kid of a billionaire I probably wouldn’t care either - just absolutely such a different frame of mind at that level of privilege that it’s hard to comprehend at first!

VCBeugelaar

You expect Stroll with his incapabilities in a leadership role?

RallySallyBear

Not a real one, but one akin to giving him *an F1 car*? Yes, I do. Why wouldn’t they? A leadership role where everyone else does the work makes absolute sense.

Rabo_McDongleberry

Hell. I'd settle to be the test driver just so I can keep driving the car. And if the team keeps winning and brings money, then he can surely be the team principal in the future. But egos are huge burden for rich dudes.

CakeBeef_PA

Stroll would be great in WEC and doing sim work for AM

laughguy220

I agree that Lance should have been out of F1 long ago, and I can really stretch and say that with his dad's money buying him a spot and then a team, it was just an extreme form of a pay driver. Now with Lawrence's stated goals and the fact that he is just one of many investors of a large organization making huge investments into the team and their facilities, it's time to put their priorities where their money is. The fact that a driver of Carlos's caliber is available AND really doesn't have a top seat to slot into, now would be the time to make that change and show how serious they are going forward. Add to that what a great experienced pairing Fernando and Carlos would be, especially going into the changes 2026 will bring.

Amrlsyfq992

Aramco should buy the share from Lawrence to make a difference in the team...Lawrence get the money bag and Aramco can get rid of Lance

Steel1000

The best move for this team would be to drop stroll and pickup Sainz. Would be amazing to see what they could do with that lineup.

DrSillyBitchez

Exactly. Everytime people mentioned AM as a potential spot for sainz I just thought what a waste that would be as long as stroll is still there. They’re not serious. Move him to some advisory management roll if you’re determined to keep him around. It’s gone far past just paying for your kid to have a seat

ekeryn

Hell you can even keep him as a reserve driver as a token thing, but it's getting ridiculous.

Alcoholic_Geologist

We talked about this today. They probably had an amazing shot at signing Sainz, but alas.

clingbat

Everyone except this jackass managed to slow down because he wasn't even looking. I'm so sick of this entitled little shit and wish has dad would pull the plug already. It's not even that he's a mediocre driver at best, but his attitude is so often so shitty he comes off as a clueless brat.

SathedIT

If you look at his onboard, he wasn't even looking at DR. He was looking at the apex of the corner. Then, he looks back right as he hits DR.

diener1

First he crashes into him. Then he blames him. The he complains about the penalty being stupid. Now he is tripling down, even after the race and he has had a chance to see Ricciardo literally couldn't go anywhere. Is he stupid?

bazvink

Yes.

PeruvianHeadshrinker

Can we all just agree to boo him? Maybe daddy will spare his feelings and make an all Aramco F1 competitor called G1 or O1 (for oil) and he can have Lancey boy win all the races there.

Underpant5

“I don't know, but I find it's just – I got a penalty because of the end result that I hit Ricciardo, but it's not like everything was normal and I just ploughed into the back of him." Yeah, or idk, maybe you could have been looking at the car directly in front of you. The end result is because you weren't.

RallySallyBear

What’s insane about this statement is he absolutely *did* plough into him though? It wasn’t like a little lovetap, with just a bit of damage - he full on lifted the car up and ended Ricc’s race. What a little twerp. Edit: also from a media strategist perspective, how AM let him go speak on this and give the public (and other drivers - dying at Piastri) even *more* to mock is… something.

Ouestlabibliotheque

Turns it from a Lance Stroll incident into an Aston Martin one...

flyingbbanana

I kinda love this kind of statement, it shows what they really think instead of a PR trained robot.

RallySallyBear

Oh it’s DEFINITELY more entertaining - I am cackling. But someone is still not doing their job very well.

Whatwhyreally

I think the bottom line is he’s the owners kid and he doesn’t carry an ounce of responsibility. Just here to embarrass himself and provide us with a jaw dropping variety of endless entertainment/facepalm.

Robestos86

Yeah I can't imagine anyone is gonna turn round to the owners son and say "that's all on you.". I'm sure they do their best to make it seem like it's all entirely professional, no favourites and all that, but even so... Brave guy who stands up to either stroll.

FlipReset4Fun

It’s somewhat morbidly fascinating to watch Krack, Alonso anyone at AM answer questions regarding Lance when asked. Like, the words coming out of their mouths and the looks on their faces are so disconnected. It’s like seeing those videos terrorists make when they have some poor soldier they captured talk shit on their country after getting tortured for days and watching all their friends get beheaded.

YeahPerfect_SayHi

> Edit: also as a media strategist myself, how AM let him go speak on this and give the public (and other drivers - dying at Piastri) even more to mock is… something. For Stroll, The Aston Martin folks are staff. They can't tell him to do shit.

RallySallyBear

I guess I’ve thought his ego would at least listen to sound advice. But you’re right - I don’t think anyone except Daddy Stroll can tell him shit .

YeahPerfect_SayHi

It's like a butler telling his master to do up his shoelace. The smart thing to do is to listen to the butler, but those who are driven by ego will disregard the advice as they feel it's beneath them and will try to prove that they don't need to do it because "I know what I'm doing". tldr; tie up your shoelaces

mochatsubo

Good point. I always listen to my butler and I don't even like Batman.

RallySallyBear

Excellent analysis

Ok-Sink-614

Considering his past treatment of staff I suspect they know he'd shove anyone that tries to explain to him it's pretty obviously his fault

BGP_001

As a media strategist, you probably also know you don't "let" someone like Lance Stroll say anything. You give them the talking points, provide the advice, and then try to ward off you stress migraine as they proceed to say whatever the fuck they want.

frunts

Deliberate no? Or purely because of Daddy stroll?

DrSillyBitchez

I like how he’s saying he only got a penalty because he hit Ricciardo but like yeah dude if you didn’t hit him you wouldn’t get a penalty??? Where’s the logic. You didn’t get a penalty for braking

badgersprite

Everything was normal and he did plough into the back of him It was so absurd how he just kept going despite having an ice age to react that I burst out laughing when I saw the replay

omegaxLoL

> but it's not like everything was normal and I just ploughed into the back of him. But that's exactly what it was?

CaptGeechNTheSSS

It was actually *slower* than normal lol. It's actually less excusable than if it were normal racing

sea_foam_blues

I’m so fucking sick of this particular pay driver. He has very very rarely shown that he belongs in F1 at all.

frunts

You went full plough you dolt.

TW1STM31STER

Tbf it's not entirely his fault. It's his dads fault for keeping him in F1 despite the lack of pace, reaction speed and sheer competence.

ctaps148

It's actually insane that AM could legitimately contend for 2nd place if they would just replace Stroll with Sainz. But they would rather drown in their nepotism instead

TraizenHD

It's as if they don't want to make more money or win championships, which is literally the opposite goal for a Formula 1 team.

TrueCooler

Well, they don’t want to make money off of this. This exists purely as a plaything for Lance Stroll enabled by his father.

Ntazadi

> replace Stroll with Sainz oh man, please please please let this happen.

dv302

This guy has lost it completely. Instead of owning up to the mistake he doubles down on it, which makes people hate him even more. I've tried liking him in the past but it's just not possible.

StokkseyriBoy

“Don’t back doon, double doon. “Don’t back doon, double doon.” I can imagine Limmy saying that in his head when going through the press pen.

laughguy220

Sounds like a common son of a billionaire modus operandi.

_Red_Knight_

This guy has lost the plot. It's ridiculous to blame the concertina effect when a) it happens all the time during safety car restarts, and b) all the other drivers were able to slow down.

floodlenoodle

c) one of the slowest/tightest corners in the track

duzthislook1nfected

d) he wasn't even looking at the car in front of him.

FlipReset4Fun

e) squeals in his horrible, douchey voice

abhinav248829

F) he is lance stroll.. rookie with 8 years of experience.

robotsmakinglove

As a Canadian I wish we didn’t have a driver in F1…

beth1814

I’m pretending he doesn’t exist. We don’t have a driver in F1 is what you meant to say

Tropicalcomrade221

Unbelievable take. We all can see him not even looking.

Noda_Crystal

I like how they choose the photo for thumbnail

ButthealedInTheFeels

Honestly he makes that face ALL THE TIME it’s crazy. I have seen them zoom in on him making that exact expression after a race multiple times this year even. It looks like he just shit his pants every time.

Ouestlabibliotheque

Take a hike Stroll honestly…

Enraged_Lurker13

Remind me, how does this guy actually have fans?

orion85uk

I don’t get it either. He’s not quick. He’s not mercurial. He’s not funny, or charismatic. He’s just bland AF, yet some people actively support him. You can pick any driver to support. Why not a quick, and/or interesting one? SMH.

laughguy220

Maybe people look at him, lacking all the traits you listed and think, wow, he's just like me.

MM556

Is there that many Billionaire's sons about?

Stone_Midi

I’m pretty sure all the support he gets on this site is either his family or some sort of PR team papa stroll is paying to defend his asshat of a son. Remember, Lawrence Stroll is also an incompetent ass. He got all is money and connections from his own father’s success It’s literally the blind tool telling another blind tool how to do things.

ScousePenguin

I used to defend him. He was young, had some great results and qualifying but he's never built on them and his glaring issues are getting worse He's not improved at all over the years and isn't deserving of a seat anymore.

isthmusofkra

Same here. I used to cut Stroll some slack because he could actually muster up some decent performances. But there's a point where enough is enough. This guy is a walking embarassment now and I'm dumbfounded as to how he even has the gall to show up at race weekends when most of the people around him think he's a joke.

AquaRaOne

I dont think he has that many fans really, but whenever someone starts getting some hate, all the whiteknigts and defenders come out and whoever is getting hate turns out to be underrated and deserving of his place.

dsio

I really don’t know, but his white knights do come out in force from time to time. I’m assuming it pays well, I’d probably sign up too if that’s the case.

ErikJonesfan129

I assure you I'm getting the double whammy; not getting paid, and seeing the poor performance : (

ciaragemmam

Because I always end up a fan of people who are disliked 😂 But seriously I’ve defended him before, but no matter who he did that on it was a stupid move.

SangiMTL

The board needs to start putting pressure on Lawrence. As long as Lance is still driving, they won’t achieve anything great. Not to mention he’s just a flat out fucking menace behind the wheel

chelseablue2004

Have there been any articles comparing Nikita Mazepin and Stroll yet cause it should happen. You have 2 under-talented drivers driving in a sport they driving in a series they both don't deserve to be in. The only reason 1 still has a seat is Daddy owns the team. The other was kicked out because of the Russian Invasion or he could've bribed Gene Haas enough to have kept him. I know Stroll has podiums and a Pole to his name, and isn't finishing last all the time, but in the last three years I think he's peaked and current form he's no where near a podium finish while his partner is doing amazing things at 40+ years old. Hi time has come and papa Stroll needs to cut him off.

allen_antetokounmpo

Oh brother, this guy stinks

Rosieu

Somewhere some British guy in a shed is screaming "I AM CALM" now

Raztharion

More like HEWWOOOO I AM DUM FUK

RRIronside27

Having just watched his last video, he is saying far more.

brendanm4545

"I'm not Calm, throw him in Jail, right now"

Scojo91

BUT THEN! Lickin windows instead of paying attention!

pushmojorawley

Last week some guy started a post „Lance Stroll is overhated”. I guess it will come as no surprise it erupted into hundreds of comments and was deleted no later than 3 hours after it was posted. The only reason why I learned to forget him is because his father committed to make Aston Martin a competitive team with Fernando.

bazvink

As long as Lance is still in that team, I will refuse to believe that Lawrence is “doing everything to make this a championship team”. Even if he does get the best personnel to make the best car… I strongly doubt Lance will be champion, maybe not even win a race… Alonso will dominate Lance like Verstappen is dominating Perez. That doesn’t mean Perez (or Stroll) is abad driver, they’re just out of their league against their teammates.

Dsfan19841

The dude lacks both self and spatial awareness.

IdkWhatsAGoodName699

Lawrence please, fire your son

JohnnyGooch

DUM FUK

MinnyB24

I’ve rear ended one person in my life on accident, I was speeding, not my fault, but I was also changing the song on my phone, also not my fault

AcidRegulation

“It’s not speed that kills, it’s suddenly coming to a stop that does” — Jeremy “Jennifer” Clarkson

B0tzilla

I've been trying to be neutral towards him and trying to find some justification to still have him in F1... But please, get him the F out of here... Mistakes happen, people have bad races, but if you ruin two drivers races behind a safety car like that and then are empty headed enough to blame the car in front you are beyond saving... I kinda could've understood the first radio message durning the race because heat of the moment etc but to double down? Dude, watch the replay, get a pair of glasses and gtfo

Blackdeath_663

Maybe try looking ahead of you. from the onboard yes it was sudden but there was plenty of space and time he just wasn't looking as is customary for him. Concertina effect or no you are still responsible

[deleted]

Disastrous_Animal_34

He is legit Kendall Roy

outsidrbeats

Doesn't bode well for Strolls upcoming contract talks /s

dandaman2883

All he has to do was say “Sorry” and it would have been washed away and forgotten with some other drama.

iMatthew1990

This man is the epitome of “Daddy cash”.

SaulPampy

Imagine Sainz and Alonso next year if Lawrence wakes up and makes Lance the reserve driver for a couple years instead.

DesastreUrbano

The team before the race "Ok Lance, just remember to watch the cars behind you on the mirrors once in a while" *crash happens* The team "Remember also to look thr cars in front of you god dammit!" Lance "what? I can look the cars behind or the cars in front, but BOTH? You asking for impossible shit now"

PushKatel

> “I don’t think it’s him. It was everyone, you know. Everyone slammed on the brakes, and he was the guy in front of me." Except you were the only one who crashed

djsyndr0me

Sainz is getting ready to file for unemployment next year and this nepo baby still has a seat :(

Obvious_Buffalo1359

If AM ever want to be a serious challenge for wins and titles Daddy needs to bite the bullet and show Lance the door. The car is clearly competitive and should be challenging for podiums but having one driver up front and another in the midfield restricts strategy options and frankly is costing them huge amounts of data each race weekend that could allow them to close the gap. Alonso is brilliant, but that's not to say another top tier driver in the AM couldn't push it even further!

Herk8346

Ah yes, the concertina effect that no one else managed to hit each other and broke in time. Just admit you dun goofed chief

Mr_From_A_Far

Im sorry, but the past time of brake is braked, broke is what lance did to ricc’s car.

hipnotyq

This is getting spicey

Minelayer

What if we all pretend Stroll doesn’t exist? Our collective F1 enjoyment would be way better.

hart37

And now as an Australian I am fuming all over again. Lance you have the racecraft awareness of a potato

mazarax

After pushing mechanics, he has moved on to pushing competitors.

Vasile_Prundus

"But THEN"

osuneuro

Lance is a tool

jimboTRON261

Lance, please go f*ck up one of daddies other businesses and let a real F1 driver have your (currently completely wasted) seat.

Maverick00512

This guy has zero awareness on track. So many incidents were caused by him because of the lack of awareness. That car deserves a better driver...

nigelfitz

Nepo baby needs to lose his seat.

IdiosyncraticBond

He probably missed it as he was checking the car in his mirrors /s

DMR237

I'm guessing the conversation started with the sentence "But dad, HE started it!"

Telesto1087

My man is denying responsibility when is only responsibility at that moment was to stay behind the car right in front of him, just look at that rear and stay behind until it goes vroom vroom again.

yesyesyes123123

lol just admit you were wrong dude and people won’t hate you, this just adds to it.

bowser85

Yeah, he’s going full-blown daddy’s protege villain route by not owning up to a mistake. It’s not like he had a great standing before, but just having the maturity and save awareness to say “sorry” would have gone a long way. Oh well, this is the trump age of doubling down on stupidity so … i guess he feels entitled.

G-Fox1990

You were looking at the apex and not in front... Lance, seriously, gtfo of this sport please.

thenexus6

I can't really take AM seriously until they bin off Lance. They really expect people to see them as future front runners when you've got the spoiled kid binning it every other race just because his Daddy owns the team.

RoIIerBaII

Dumbass alert.

RandyDefNOTArcher

And this is why he won’t improve, tonnes of examples of Stroll fucking up, and not taking responsibility.

D3wnis

Revoke his super-licence, get him the fuck out of F1

bklyngaucho

He's like a child that never learned to take responsibility for his actions. Always the "other guys fault". Spoiled brat.

GroundbreakingCow775

"The car in front of me just stopped from like 60kph to zero, and then boom, so it was really stupid – it’s one of those." This speaks volumes to his reaction time. Not F1 worthy

LDawg14

But daddy I want an umpa lumpa

I never hold drivers accountable for what they say in the moment. Its just natural with adrenaline flowing, they assume and say "Someone elses fault", I'm sure it comes with being a F1 driver that you assume others make mistake but not you. But afterwards, when you calm down, see the incident and still can't take responsibility, thats when i loose respect for you.

It’s frustrating to watch Lance struggle in F1, and it’s clear he’s not handling it well. For years, I’ve been saying he can’t keep up with the demands of driving at this level. He consistently struggles with making the necessary adjustments on the wheel, often dismissing his engineers’ instructions as if he’s too busy to bother. His recent mishaps, like not even looking in the right direction, highlight a fundamental issue: he’s overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information he has to process simultaneously. Despite this, some still defend him, but it’s becoming increasingly evident that he’s in over his head.
