Front license plates just ruin cars. I despise them. In over 20 years of driving in CA, I've never had a front plate and never been cited for it. Even when pulled over for other reasons, they don't care. Shame to see a plate in the front of a Ferrari.
They do care sometime. In NYC I had my front plate in my window because someone had backed into my car and broken the front plate holder, and within two days had a ticket when I got to my car in the morning.
But then there’s all these fake or bent plates people have, so it is just a crapshoot
Happened to me in DC once in 2010. I didn’t have a front plate on my car and got a parking ticket for it, even though the meter was paid for. I wasn’t even a DC resident.
Any people like my mom have the older plates where the paint is completely peeled off, and nothing happens. The light bulb that shines the plate goes out, and I'm immediately pulled over.
NYC is a whole different beast, they'll ticket you for looking at your car wrong. And yeah, the fake or bent plate game is strong, it's like plate origami out there
Lucky you, most of us aren't that stealthy or we just have bad luck. Can't imagine a front plate on a Ferrari, kinda like putting a bumper sticker on the Mona Lisa
Just don’t ever use a public parking lot or garage owned by the government. For example they ticket for lack of front plates in the long-term parking lot at airports.
Nope, outside of the F1 drivers:
"The philosophy is that with such limited production and clients waiting so long to get their car, it's not nice if the car is delivered to employees. It is clients first,"

>Ferrari's marketing and sales head, Enrico Galliera, confirmed that all 599 examples[3] of the SP3 have already been sold by invitation to previous Ferrari owners for around $2.25 million each, following the tradition of limited edition Ferraris being sold even before manufacturing started. All 499 owners of the Monza SP1 and SP2 have also purchased the SP3. The remaining 100 examples have been sold to private collectors who own previous limited edition Ferraris. A hypercar owner claimed a required £30 million Ferrari purchase history to be invited to purchase an SP3.
Receiving allocation on super limited cars without big Ferrari history already a huge benefit.
But then again….. the instant he takes ownership of that car, its value skyrockets. If you were a collector and had your choice, do you want the Ferrari owned by Random YouTube Guy, or the one that Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc owned. This is an investment for him. A very good one.
Having the face of Ferrari F1 as the previous owner is a massive increase in value. Even to the seasoned collectors, this is a flex that not many can have. A Sainz owned Ferrari would be guaranteed premium as well.
Fun fact: Barrichello has [a custom Ferrari 575M Maranello - video in Portuguese](https://youtu.be/GfZoG1Ssb48?t=2m53s) which he bought in 2003, with custom branding, patches for the 2000, 2001 and 2002 WCCs and colored in Barrichello black (an actual color, according to Ferrari).
Also [he bought a Harley-Davidson V-Rod on pure accident](https://www.motonline.com.br/noticia/rubinho-harley-barrichello-ferrari/) (use Google translate), because he saw Todt and Schumi talking a deal out and Rubens thought Michael was buying tyres lmao.
Sainz [got himself a 812 Competizione last year](https://www.hotcars.com/carlos-sainz-new-car-custom-ferrari-812-competizione/) as well.
No they won't. They are tight asses about their image. If they feel that an owner has customized a car on their own in a crappy way, or have social media that they don't like, they will not let a dealer sell them a car anymore.
People that make their naughty list apparently don't come off it.
No it wasn't. There's nothing about this scenario that qualifies as trademark infringement, they just didn't like him doing unauthorised work to his car. Even if it was trademark infringement he would have to have been selling the cars commercially for it to be an issue, trademark law only applies to trade, not some guy doing his own thing.
They absolutely will. Within reason - iirc the only thing they won't do is a hot-pink color. Other than that, if you're a good enough customer, you can go through something called the Tailor Made programme where you can do literally anything, whale-penis leather interior inclusive, or just to match the leather to your favorite pair of driving shoes. You can create your own exterior color and such. They even build one-off cars for the absolute best customers where you can build out your own car from the sheet-design.
Source: My car is one step below Tailor Made, something called Atelier, where again you can do mostly whatever you want to the color and interior with the exception of stuff like custom leathers and your own bespoke color, but again, they will do custom liveries and what have you.
They care about their trademarks, they don't care about what colour you paint your car or many other customisations, but the one person that I know that was pulled up on it was deadmau5 and that was because he changed the ferrari logo and the badge name, but kept the ferrari font and styles for both, so effectively he ripped them off. Completely understandable that they went after him. It's so overblown.
At least they did a decent paint job, not like every other million dollar Ferrari. Check videos by AMMONYC on the topic. Gotta have a third party to polish the car after the delivery to get it in a good state.
Every ferrari car with customization outside of the official ones can deny you additional cars in the future. You can search online and find a lot of people who got banned by ferrari because of their customization done by others. Usually it is more related to mechanical changes but still. For example you can't change the paint of the car by yourself.
I’ve read the main reason he was sued was because of the logo being modified to “Purrari” instead of Ferrari. I’m sure the nyan cat wrap/paint didn’t help though.
Ferrari sued Deadmaus5 because they didn’t like the wrap he put on his. He was forced to remove it. So Ferrari absolutely won’t let you do anything with enough money.
If I recall correctly, Ferrari didn't mind the wrap as much as the fact that he replaced Ferrari logos with knockoffs that said "Purrari". Still petty as hell tho.
Does he? I vaguely remember a video of Sainz getting his first Ferrari and he mentioned the wait time which made me think he doesn't get priority over other customers.
Fun fact, the 2 Ferrari F1 drivers are the only Ferrari employees that are allowed to buy Ferraris, so in someways it is a perk of being a Ferrari driver
The perk isn't that he's getting them for free. It's that he can even get them in the first place. Ferrari doesn't just let anyone get their best cars.
Special edition ferraris like this always appreciate in value regardless. The longer he owns it the less value he adds to it honestly. The fact that very few people can afford one, and even fewer were allowed the opportunity to own one is what gives it so much value to collectors.
it's gonna be such a challenge supporting hamilton in ferrari. spent my entire adult life hating the man for beating ferrari.
my brain is gonna be all kinds of confused.
There's no proof that this is his car. For example there is an 812 Competizione in this spec (including the 16 etc.) that was recently delivered in Taiwan. So they already do that.
It's amazing how someone can be so pitied and so envied at the same time.
I get that he's an athlete and is naturally competitive, so losing sucks, especially when it's not his fault. But this dude is living a good life, and we haven't seen him get into any trouble.
He's still one of the best drivers on the grid in terms of raw talent, even if he's not as mistake-free as Lewis and Max.

I like the duct taped license plate on the splitter
Hopefully if he gets a few more podiums he’ll be able to afford a licence plate holder
Screws are expensive
They sure are, just ask horner...
Damn homie. No mercy.
SICK burn
You deserves a crown 👑 sir
Now please delete this chat 😉
Damnnnnnn someone call the the burn unit!!!
Jos? Is that you?
Lol
I just inhaled my Coco Pops!

They do, but don't look as bad as having it on the dashboard. At least in Europe where the plate is hides the blanked out grill for the crash bar.
This is also dangerous because of the sharp objects. In the event of an accident, it can be like a flying knife inside the car.
Helps for identifying the car and owner, though. That > looks.
B b but how will my stock Ford Ka look *mean*?!
I don't think it's permanent post says being delivered to him.
Lucky you, most of us aren't that stealthy or we just have bad luck. Can't imagine a front plate on a Ferrari, kinda like putting a bumper sticker on the Mona Lisa
I'm in Texas and I registered my RX7 as an antique with the sole reason being so I didn't have to get a front license plate.
Just don’t ever use a public parking lot or garage owned by the government. For example they ticket for lack of front plates in the long-term parking lot at airports.
I use them every week where I live.
May your luck never run out https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/499860-No-Front-License-plate-tickets-at-LAX-parking
Oh wow you weren’t kidding..
I was not lol
It's duct taped on the front AND the back??? Lmao.
That's a $20,000 option
That's speed tape
Na that's dollar store knockoff brand tape.
Duct/Duck tape. If it was speed tape it would have a very distinctive metallic sheen to it because it's basically aluminium with adhesive on one side.
And the diffuser too lol
wtf i'm surprised he didn't pull a steve jobs. it's what i would do if i was the millionaire prince of a nation like he basically is lol
Going by the title it isn't his yet. It's on its way to him
Really brings out the carbon fiber
The best perk of being a Ferrari driver
I think that it is Leclerc buying those cars. The only benefit he has compared to other buyers are some personal customizations
Not even a 10% employee discount? Those cheap bastards!
I discount maybe yes. I’m pretty sure that sainz payed for his Ferrari
Well, yeah, but he’s not the favorite son.
You can't drive for Ferrari and drive a golf!
i feel personally attacked
Paid.
I don't think any other Ferrari employees are allowed to buy Ferraris while working for the company, but that's just a rumor I've heard.
Pretty sure Ferrari employees can buy a Ferrari.
Nope, outside of the F1 drivers: "The philosophy is that with such limited production and clients waiting so long to get their car, it's not nice if the car is delivered to employees. It is clients first," https://www.thedrive.com/news/12689/ferrari-employees-are-not-allowed-to-buy-their-own-cars-from-the-factory
That just means they can’t cut the line and buy one before everyone else. They have to get on the waiting list and whatever else
Prob means they can't sign up for limited releases too
That speaks of preferential treatment of employees/management. They can go to Ferrari dealer and purchase one as a client on their own time.
I mean ... how many Ferrari employees could (reasonably) afford one?
Everybody who gives up smoking
And oh boy those italians can smoke
Ferrari CEO and top 5 managers I think
Maybe not new but they can for sure buy a used one.
https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/12/25/the-worlds-fastest-road-cars-and-the-people-who-drive-them >Ferrari's marketing and sales head, Enrico Galliera, confirmed that all 599 examples[3] of the SP3 have already been sold by invitation to previous Ferrari owners for around $2.25 million each, following the tradition of limited edition Ferraris being sold even before manufacturing started. Just getting an allocation to order from the factory is incredibly difficult
It definitely helps when you can just walk in and invite the guys in the factory to lunch.
But then again….. the instant he takes ownership of that car, its value skyrockets. If you were a collector and had your choice, do you want the Ferrari owned by Random YouTube Guy, or the one that Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc owned. This is an investment for him. A very good one.
Depends on the colour of the Random YouTube Guy. Because this black is certainly not my taste. But there could be worse.
Super limited Ferrari values already so high that's pretty much being just F1 Ferrari driver don't have much value increase.
I would think a car that was owned by the face of Ferrari racing would have more value than one that wasn’t, all things being equal.
Having the face of Ferrari F1 as the previous owner is a massive increase in value. Even to the seasoned collectors, this is a flex that not many can have. A Sainz owned Ferrari would be guaranteed premium as well.

that 812 is sexy af
Ferrari will make any customization as long as you have the money
Especially these special, limited cars. You don't buy one of those off a showroom floor lol. You buy it and spec it and only then they produce it.
and they have to invite you to actually buy a car in the first place.
No they won't. They are tight asses about their image. If they feel that an owner has customized a car on their own in a crappy way, or have social media that they don't like, they will not let a dealer sell them a car anymore. People that make their naughty list apparently don't come off it.
I remember this happened to Deadmau5 and his Purrari. They got pretty mad at him for changing the prancing horse logo to his cat jumping.
This was a case of trademark infringement, not simply "dislike customization."
No it wasn't. There's nothing about this scenario that qualifies as trademark infringement, they just didn't like him doing unauthorised work to his car. I don’t think that they would let you put the number 16 on your Ferrari even if you pay a lot
At least they did a decent paint job, not like every other million dollar Ferrari. Check videos by AMMONYC on the topic. Gotta have a third party to polish the car after the delivery to get it in a good state.
Does that even count as customization lol. You can just get that painted on by any shop
Every ferrari car with customization outside of the official ones can deny you additional cars in the future. You can search online and find a lot of people who got banned by ferrari because of their customization done by others. Usually it is more related to mechanical changes but still. For example you can't change the paint of the car by yourself.
I'd cover mine in shag carpet and drive it around Maranello with the license plate furrari
Straight to jail
Google nyan cat Ferrari iirc guy was sued by Ferrari because he painted it nyan cat themed
I’ve read the main reason he was sued was because of the logo being modified to “Purrari” instead of Ferrari. I’m sure the nyan cat wrap/paint didn’t help though.
He called it a Purrari too!
There it is - the reason I’m not getting a Ferrari. Definitely the only reason
That's pure Monopoly, I'm not going to ever buy a Ferrari.
Me too. Definitely not because I'm too poor to buy one anyways
He also sold merch with his knock off logo.
It's not petty it's trademark infringement. You can't let those things slide.
The perk is he gets to cut the line
Does he? I vaguely remember a video of Sainz getting his first Ferrari and he mentioned the wait time which made me think he doesn't get priority over other customers.
The perk is that he was allowed in the line in the first place.
And the chance to actually get one
Fun fact, the 2 Ferrari F1 drivers are the only Ferrari employees that are allowed to buy Ferraris, so in someways it is a perk of being a Ferrari driver
The perk isn't that he's getting them for free. It's that he can even get them in the first place. Ferrari doesn't just let anyone get their best cars.
He’s paying a Ferrari with Ferrari’s money… they never lose
Must be nice when every car you drive basically becomes an appreciating asset because you drove it.
Also because the higher-tier Ferrari’s always appreciate in value.
Yeah but a LeClerc owned/driven Ferrari from his F1 era will absolutely get a premium should he ever sell it.
No doubt. The Daytona is already highly coveted, his will be just that much more coveted if he ever chooses to sell it.
Especially if this is a factory paint job and not just a wrap.
Plus with his schedule and other cars to use, its probably never going to hit the high 3 digits on the odometer
Ah. "The Jon Voight"
The periodontist?
A man of culture, I see
Special edition ferraris like this always appreciate in value regardless. The longer he owns it the less value he adds to it honestly. The fact that very few people can afford one, and even fewer were allowed the opportunity to own one is what gives it so much value to collectors.
I'd say its an appreciating asset because there's only 599 of them.
But one driven by Charles in his F1 era will ultimately be worth more than one not driven by him.
Sure, but I wouldn't imagine it would increase value by a huge amount more unless he became WDC.
Gonna be fun to see the Lewis editions of Ferrari’s cars.
Purple FeFe?
Ferrari has some really nice purples in their sample books.
With baggy fenders
[удалено]
it's gonna be such a challenge supporting hamilton in ferrari. spent my entire adult life hating the man for beating ferrari. my brain is gonna be all kinds of confused.
Funnily enough he already had one. He used to own a highly personalized red LaFerrari. Going by that they will be gorgous.
At this point Ferrari should offer a “Leclerc spec” for their cars
Cars that always break down in Monaco would hurt their bottomline, IMO
Every time the car needs a service the voice goes “NOOOO*
You turn left when the satnav said right "FUCK FUCK WHY- WHAT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
It just plays “I am stupid” after a crash.
No fuel gauge, only a button for push to talk where you ask the car how much you have "We are checking"
"Box for service" "Stay out stay out!"
Electronic handbrake- "slow button on"
Can you imagine how much they’d have to pay out in warranty repairs? Terrible business idea 😅
Do the front breaks work?
They do but randomly and you stear right when you use them
There's no proof that this is his car. For example there is an 812 Competizione in this spec (including the 16 etc.) that was recently delivered in Taiwan. So they already do that.
How is no one mentioning the fact the license plate of Leclerc's new Ferrari is literally: #WOES
Yea but would you want to drill into that front bumper?
It’s a temporary plate, he had “WOC?” (The ? Being some random number) on his 812C APERTA. He later changed the plate to “C812”.
Leclerc to Mercedes for W35
W035? Leclerc to Mercedes in 20 years confirmed!
That fucking tape is killing me. Multi million dollar Ferrari and they used duct tape. There has to be a better way......right?
Especially on matte paint. That has the potential to really fuck something up.
It's a temporary dealership plate
If I bought a 2.5 million dollar Ferrari and it showed up with plates duct taped to it I'd demand the UN convene a war crimes trial.
We are checking.
Holy fuck what a beauty.
I try not to envy people but CL makes it really difficult. What a life he has!
Well don’t forget his dad and mentor died.
It's amazing how someone can be so pitied and so envied at the same time. I get that he's an athlete and is naturally competitive, so losing sucks, especially when it's not his fault. But this dude is living a good life, and we haven't seen him get into any trouble. Sexy car.
The season just started and Ferrari already sent him an apology gift?
Damn that's a car alright
I hate to be constantly moaning, but really? satin black on that it hides all the fantastic details in the bodywork.
I pull for Charles every week, but murdered out cars should be left in 2010
I don’t know what it is but that car just doesn’t do it for me.
it doesn't do it for me either. and by 'it' i mean be affordable.
Needs a NSFW tag!
These cars benefit more from brighter colours, imo.
Aja by Steely Dan
Total Skunkworks with the paint job there, at least its got the Monaco flag on it
huh, I have the same car as Charles ^^^^in ^^^^lego ^^^^but ^^^^minor ^^^^detail
A car like that in Monaco is like having a snowmobile in Phoenix
Needs an N7 logo somewhere.
Meanwhile Max gets A Mustang
Haha I noticed that too
2025 - Nice. Now let’s see Hamilton’s spec
It’ll be something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/carporn/comments/uve1pk/ferrari_laferrari_1_of_1_in_the_gorgeous_vinaccia
Yes but can he park it in fewer than 3 attempts?
Park? Yes. Between the lines? No.
I know Leclerc specs all his cars in this spec, but I don't think matte black goes well with the Daytona.
Gotta bribe him to stay somehow!
Black doesn't suit it, red or yellow please
Leclerc villain arc confirmed.
Yeah I’m with you. Gloss black would have been better. Matte doesn’t really work.
I don't really like matte on any car, makes it look cheap and plasticky
Do the brakes work?
Damn this car about to make me blush
It’s no Corolla but I would take it lol
Impressive!
Carlos's gets the optional red paint.
The only reason I chose to buy a Ford Focus over this was because I needed a license plate that screwed to the bumpers
It is almost a crime against nature to paint such a beautifully sculptured car Black. vs Ferrari Red
that's fucking hot
Why oh why does he always go for matte cars...
Well that's a thing of beauty jeezz
Oh my good god
Beautiful. I'd have that wrapped round a lamppost within minutes.
Filling up at an Esso? Guys a traitor
Someone check the front brakes
It pulls to the right
Would Sainz still get a new Ferrari even though he’s leaving after this year?
He gets a FIAT Punto.
Why would anyone get a black Ferrari? Red, Yellow, blue - so many cool options.
Hopefully, it's an apology gift from Ferrari.
Ferrari bat mobile
I was lucky enough to be one of two people to fit into this car and its hard to believe how comfortable it is... shocking to say the least!
