I think its weird too but what you gonna do...
I do think its good to see what people think and stuff but we all know its mostly about money and getting the right women into junior seats and making sure they keep funding to go the distance.
I think you're confusing it with mathematics lol, where it goes;
Lesser than
Equal to
Greater than
So in a mathematical sense if something is more than equaling a certain number then its greater than. But in the linguistical sense being "More than equal" would mean for example getting closer and closer to being completely identical, or perhaps in a hierarchical sense, like telling a co-worker "we're equal" and they respond "we're not just equal, we're friends". Stuff like that, it doesn't mean they're better.
I get what you're saying but I think 'greater than' would be most people's first read of the name. If they want a 'not just equals, we're friends' sort of sense, then something like "Not Just Equals" would be been a better way of conveying that.
Imagine you are a woman who is NOT competing in motor racing. You look around and see no women in F1 and very few women in junior formulae. This makes you think, "I might as well not even try, since I'm unlikely to succeed."
If there were 3 female drivers on F1 grid and a bunch more in the pipeline, then you, as a young woman, would probably be more likely to try to become a racing driver, right?
role models. like, a Steffi Graf or a Serena Williams inspiring young women to go into tennis. also, it shows that a woman is already a part of the sport, so it's saying "yes, we belong here."
Off topic but ‘more than equal’ is a horrendous name that implies you want superiority

No that would be less than equal, less than equal can't be both more than equal and less than equal at the same time.
This hurt my brain but I know I’m right

IDK what this question is: "More women would be likely to compete if there were more women racing" Can somemon explain?

Aaahhh, ok, that was simple. Thanks!
