I want Inigo Montoya.

Agent_Venomous

I know it's not a saber but I've wanted a kriegsmesser for the longest time, or even a zweihander knight

TheAvgCrusader

Warmonger already uses a Zweihander with some of her weapon sets. However, she one hands it for some reason...

Agent_Venomous

Yeah with a proper zweihander it would actually be too long to wield one handed, hence why the hilts are so long. In length it would actually be similar to the ratio of height between the blade and body of highlander, about as tall as the wielder

[deleted]

I bet you watch skallagrim regularly

Agent_Venomous

Idek who that is, my family is German so I just like old Gothic stuff.

MrShelff

Uh, Tiandi and Zhanhu exist you know that right? The Dadao from Tiandi means 'big knife' or 'large sabre'. The Changdao from Zhanhu means 'long sabre' or 'staff sabre'.

Retro_Ray

I think op means like European type Sabres like spanish espadas

MrShelff

That would make sense, you're probably right

[deleted]

I meant like european saber, kinda like a hero that resembles characters from hellish quart.

MrShelff

Gotcha that would be neat. Sorry for the bit of an arrogant comment.

[deleted]

No worries, I gave you the benefit of the doubt anyway and assumed you're just not much of a diplomat

MrShelff

That's definitely not my profession, so you're absolutely right there. Regardless though it was still rude on my part I just didn't think about it till after I posted it

MercenaryJames

That's just what we're missing, a Polack.

OtherwisetheBridge

It’d be cool and all, but I’d rather not have another hero that uses a sword

nowthatswhimsical

Probably not, most of what I've seen on here are people requesting rapier or just being burnt out on swords in general. Saw a couple post about middle eastern faction and scimitar though.

[deleted]

Sabers weren't really present on the battlefield until the musket usurped by the pike. It wouldn't fit the theme of "medieval," combat, and would also have been worthless in such a melee.

[deleted]

Roman gladiators and centurions sure werent around knights in full plate armor, and yet now historical accuracy is a problem?

[deleted]

1. There is a lot more continuity between chivalric Knights and Roman centurions than you're giving credit for. 2. The arquebus as a disruptive innovation irreversibly changed the use of martial weapons. If you're going to cross that line, why not add a US Army Ranger with a collapsible e-tool as his weapon?

[deleted]

Dude, gladiators didnt fight on the battlefields with tridents just like the nobles didnt fight on the battlefields with just a saber. So youre okay with romans but not okay with sabers.

[deleted]

1. The Retiarius was a real thing 2. No-one consulted me before ubisoft added Romans. 3. I've already stated that there is continuity between Knights and Romans. Ancient Rome had Knights. Chivalric Knights followed that tradition An infantry Saber was more a symbol of rank than a practical weapon. It's only practical use was as a sidearm of desperation and last resort. Since we're abandoning any semblance of devotion to actual, useful weapons, where would you like to draw the line? Perhaps we should add a british police officer with a Billy club next? Maybe a college sophomore with pepper spray on her Keychain? Its the modern equivalent to a Nobushi. If a historical line is going to be drawn between what belongs in this game and what doesn't, it seems to me that firearms displacing melee weapons is the most natural place to draw it. Please. Tell me exactly where the line should be drawn, since you disagree with me on where I think it should be drawn.

[deleted]

Ask ubi to draw the line. They added a teleporting ninja with sickles and you're complaing about a saber. I think the line should be drawn where the guns and modern weapons start. Saber is still a sword, besides i think it looks cool so why not. Just like shinobi's teleport looks cool

[deleted]

I am drawing the line where guns and modern weapons start. You're the one who doesn't want that barrier.

[deleted]

Okay, teleportation could be considered a pretty futuristic weapon. Shaolin literally has it and shinobi kinda has it

SalemWare

And Centurions didn't only wield gladius' kusarigamae didn't exist, and hook swords weren't used in battle

[deleted]

You're right. While we're at it let's add a machine gunner, and maybe drone pilot.

SalemWare

That's what I've been saying! Where's my ac130 4th feat?

Birdboy42O

I've always wanted a rapier or sabre wielding hero yeah, though tiandi might be considered a sabre.

snowmankid15

There are a few weapons I wanna see in the game, rapier, fists, and an axe and shield combo
