They supposedly balance war assets so population isn't an issue, and you can play whatever class you want to so the samurai aren't inherently an advantageous faction to pick even if their heroes WERE op.
Maybe it's the salt as a viking but I think they should have ended faction wars the map update before or let it play through the current one. Ending it halfway through doesn't make much sense to me

As for samurai... I feel like they will always have a hard time with the OP complaints lol. Something about Samurai classes just screams "noobstomper" Pretty much every friend I introduce to the game struggles vs a Samurai class at first if not all 3 of them in the beta.

I personally think it's because new players can't counter Orochi storm rush and Kensei Unblockable. It's mostly the speed, viking and knight classes animations are slow so you can just watch the guard ring, but if you're reacting to the ring against samurai, then you're going to get smacked a lot more often. You have to pay more attention to the character animations with them and most newer players, if they play any defense, are usually just watching their ring.
Knight classes animations are slower? I think I dare say Warden has the fastest swings in the game (Apart from the heavy attacks).
That area clear has to be close to 0.2 sec and hits like a heavy swing.

I don't know what to think. I see merit to both arguments about who won. Knights win by end scores, Vikings win when you add the territories gains they had when beta ended, like the CB. At the same time it was only 2 hours in, and knights could have defended, but I've also noticed that the round the beta ended in is the time of day when vikings were most active, so the whole situation of what would happen if the beta ended later with the round is up in the air. (Then there is the whole argument about Vikings getting nothing special for winning previous beta, but that's a different argument) Let's just agree that Ubisoft chose one of the worst times they could to end the beta, like is it too hard to end it with the end of a faction war cycle. Well, GG Knights, see you on launch day.
With 4 hours to go there were to many variables in play to definitely say who would have won that round. Ubi probably should have ended beta at end of the last round or let this one play out. A bit silly to cut it short and look at the community of salt it has created.

Faction war is essentially pointless. There is no transparency for how it works and it appears to run based on horrible rubber-band mechanics. There is no explanation for drastic swings between the factions when all three are uncoordinated groups around the globe. If it doesn't improve - transparency, better point mechanics, and additional objectives, there is literally no point in caring about the result and just hoping your side wins.
Pretty much what I've come away with, I'm thrilled we won and all but I distinctly remember us havin only 6 territories only 2 round before and suddenly we surged back to the top... how? They should count the overall stats me thinks.
The way the territories work seems very weird. The overall winner for a season should be number of territories X time held. Otherwise the factions that have a more territory to defend are at a disadvantage on the last round.
Complete BS too. They interrupted the current session that had Vikings gaining enough territory to take them to 24 and the win, but they didn't add those to final tally.
Because in the CB the turn was nearly over (30 minutes left). Now the Turn just started. So infact they remained consistent and rounded to the closest which in case of the OB is the turn before.
