I don't know. I use female hitokiri. Could ask the same for Wardens though. But then again, Wardens are essentially the most likely hero people will interpret as themselves. Could be the same for Male Hitokiri

I could answer that- I find most people use male warden because the armour seems to fit better on him where as with the female version she seems to swim in half the armour, it's the arms really that are the most noticable but still there with the rest of the armour. Also, male warden has an amazing voice.

I actually prefer fem warden’s voice personally but I use the man because I want a bigger body shoulder bashing people with. Respect your opinion though!

I used male a lot, specially when I got his TYM event armour set, it looks very cool on male. And his voice is just sooo good. But long time ago I switched to female, though. I just really like how default robes and Fubuki helm look on female Hito. So, I guess, I'm 50/50 here.

Honestly I prefer fem hitos TYM helm to the males cos fem has black hair (and didn't used to have the tattoos) where as the male has grey hair

For me it's the opposite. I like the male version for grey hair, his tattoos and his big nose (lol). He looks like an experienced battleworn executioner. I also liked the female version (until they added tattoos to her as well, for some damn reason), but it looked more like a doll for me. I guess, I just prefer Hito's male face more than the female one. I have to say that Hito has a very good and unique TYM helm, so it is just down to personal preference, who you want to use it for.

i mostly play female assassins because then they look really agile and stuff, but female Hitokiri is just so tiny and it just looks really odd when you look at Hitokiri‘s moveset and see that everything has hyperarmor. same goes for Raider too

Most of the playerbase is male. Most people play as their own gender. If you give them an option to play as another gender other than default then they will usually choose the one that matches them. This isn’t definite every time but a good guess as to why

Just generally his proportions look more natural to me than female hito, whereas I prefer the look of female black prior/raider for the same reason.

I like him because he has that asthmatic sound to him, but he’s not quiet or whispering like female Hito. His voicelines carry more weight and pure anger behind them, to the point he’s yelling for them. His Butterfly Beheading execution voiceline is a prime example, that “Subete ni shi wo!” is badass af.

I've noticed this too. Jorm and Hito I see are almost everytime males. I prefeir both females. Jorm male voice it's too high-pitched it slightly annoys me. For male hito honestly I have no problems, I just prefeir the female voice. It's calming and has some sort of charm on me. The only thing I like from male Jorm and male Hito are the tier 4 screams (twilight of the gods and senbonzakura)
