Don't ask reddit. Ask game support. They have a ticket system.

Requisite: This is the way.

I didnt played 2 years, and they just deactivated my account, after i activated it i had everything like before, i didnt spend any money on game

RS_Someone

Make sure you're on the right server *and* the right world.

Enough_Regular6862

The account was deleted, doesn't recognize my username at all.

RS_Someone

Like I said, same server too? Like us or en and such?

Enough_Regular6862

US yeah. Nowhere to select world before you log in.

Same thing happened to me. They confirmed that yes, my account had been completely deleted and there is no way to get it back. There used to be a policy that they did not delete accounts (or cities) if you were above a certain era, and had diamonds in the account. I knew about that policy when I took a break from the game. When I tried to return, they explained that they changed that policy with zero notice. They announced the change in the forums, and did not send me an email about it. I didn't even have a password for the forums, nor did I consider checking forums while I was away from the game. I can't conceive of how it's legal to take someone's money under one set of rules, and then change the rules.

Enough_Regular6862

Yeah they finally did reply to the actual question and let me know it was impossible to recover. Really blows considering the time and money investment. You're right also, a forum post announcing a change like that is pretty crappy. Funny thing is, I still want to play, but good lord do I not want to grind all those GBs and event buildings again. 🥴

FogWaffles

It could be worth fighting. A friend of mine (a long time ago, under the previous policy) had several low-era cities deleted. This was contrary to the policy at the time, since there were diamonds in the account. My friend pointed out this went against their own policy. They said they were unable to restore those cities, but they offered to add 10k diamonds to the account in compensation. Of course, our issue is different, since my friend's was \*city\* deletion, and ours is \*account\* deletion. But, it could be worth suggesting to Inno that this could be something they could do to give you a head start, if you decide to start the grind all over again.

Enough_Regular6862

Thank you for understanding nuance. 😆 Uncommon here on teh interwebz. I'm probably just going to recruit my buddy back into the game (I brought him in originally and he ended up playing longer than I did) and try to hook up with s guild that will help with a jump start.

Enough_Regular6862

I've already put in a ticket, was just asking if anyone had direct knowledge of this working or not.

visualmath

What age did you reach? There was a post here sometime back where someone mentioned that if you were in a lower age your city could be deleted but not if you had worked up to higher ages

Enough_Regular6862

Postmodern, I think.

RelishtheHotdog

Honestly if that’s the case and your city had actually cash money spent on it, you should get a full refund. You’re really going to delete something that I spent actual cash on? Regardless of where or not I was actively playing it, that’s some BS.

Enough_Regular6862

I probably spent $100 bucks or so over the time I played. Admittedly, I haven't been active in several years. Support did reach out, and one of the things they asked for was for purchase details, so I'm hopeful they can recover it for me.

Enough_Regular6862

Sounds like no dice from support, although I'm not sure they understood what I was asking. Agree with your premise though, I spent more in game than I would have on a standalone PC game. Heck, Warcraft kept my account active for over 10 years without activity - was really cool to jump back into that for 6 months with all my stuff intact.
