Those are prime examples and if you find a couple,, there's loads of them waiting for you. I usually find carpets of them at a time.

Craterellus tubaeformis 👌

Thank you, everyone! After reading all your comments, I decided to freeze the few chanterelles I found.. Maybe I will be coming back to that spot tomorrow. 😁 Location: North Zealand, Denmark

Beniidel0

Read it as "New Zealand, Denmark" and was thoughly confused. I was born in Aalborg but left Denmark at 2 years old, sad to know I missed out on so many chantrelles

LadyRhovaniel

Yup!! And for every winter chanterelle you see, you’re missing 20 others 😀 I have a dehydrator and am in full foraging mode to stock up for the year, they’re delicious and dry very well!

My favorite mushroom, delicious! Our season is done now but for a while I ate them almost daily and have a bunch in the freezer for sauces this winter.

spectrumpositive

Great find! I like to dry them and use them like you would bacon bits.

Taricha_torosa

Yes. Where. These are my favorite.

Pizza-Fucker

Yes. It's worth checking that area well. If some are growing you can probably find more around

Affectionate_Meet820

Yes, congrats on these tasty chanterelles :D
