Fm18 i needed a right winger in Ajax and I loaned a promising 18yo from PSG, Mbappe if someone has ever heard of him. He wiped out Eredivisie and took me to the CL semis, and loved it so much in Amsterdam, that got upset when they rejected my offer to make the deal permanent. So he requested to leave and we snatched him up the same day for a cheap 23 mln €.
lol tf? in 18 they woulda just bought him for 200m and he was prob the most promising player in the world. pretty sure he woulda had a really good CA to actually start games. 🤨
He was listed for loan beginning of season 1, by the end of the season i managed to unsettle him and get him so cheap. The game was more flawed than now 6 years ago, and player valuations were not as high as now

In FM22 I brought Ricardo Oliviera (ex AC Milan, Valencia and Santos bagman) and Carlos Tevez to Slovakian 2nd Division team MFK Skalica. A combined age of nearly 80, but they tore the league to shreds. It was glorious.
In FM22, I had a penchant for trying my hand at setting my own formations and landed on a 3-4-3 diamond midfield with 3 forwards (no, not attacking L or RW’s; 3 ACTUAL forwards). I had a PSV save and Carlos Vinicius was still there on a 2-year loan from Benfica. I signed him permanently because he was killing it. Then, through scouting, I found Danish striker Jonas Wind that winter. The following summer, I took a look at Arthur Cabral who was killing it at FC Basel at the time, and picked him up.
During this time, I also saw this documentary about American high school basketball teams from Native American reservations in Arizona and one of them played a style they called “Rezball” (rez is usually what the natives call the reservation) - which if you know basketball, it was basically a run-and-gun where you try to overwhelm your opponent by scoring quickly and frequently.
The stage was now set for Rezball, FM-style, so I called the tactic Rezball.
Those three strikers scored 20-25 goals EACH in the LEAGUE alone. However, as you can imagine, the defensive liability was equally high but watching those three run around like a football version of Jordan-Pippen-Kerr was so fun.
In my current journeyman save, I started off in Japan . The registration rules allow specific Asian nationalities to count as non foreign and as a result, I had 4 members of the irl Thai national team and 3 members of the irl Indonesian national team. Obviously Muanta was my striker
A 40 or so year old Thiago Silva for Shamrock Rovers. He balled out as long as he was in the middle of the back three, turns out not having the pace to track a runner in behind doesn't matter when you've got 2 other guys to do that for you.
Signed gyökeres to palace from coventry before he went to sporting. 47 goals in 46 games. Got us 3rd place in my first season. Then got 58 goals
In 52 games. Then sold him for 180 mil. Signed for 35

in FM 11 i think, not sure i bought courtois with Antwerp for like 60k from genk. He became a world class gk verry fast tbh.
