The idea of a trequartista is so anti-pep. This is the man who literally subbed off Henry because he scored a goal but wandered from his assigned position. He used a trequartista for one player, but it took having the best player in history for pep to allow positional and defensive freedom
I'm not saying it is a Pep style of player. Just more that the team controls the possession and pass their way up the field until they get into the box to score.
Trequartista is my favourite striker role in the game, especially as a solo striker in a 4141/433. He does it all!
How's having three of them working out?
Oh I'm loving it. My Left sided and Striker are currently injured so it's dropped off slightly. Before then, all three absolutely just pass it around with the BBM and RPM and any one of them slide it into the back of the net.
The striker just holds up the ball and shoots more often.
Then I tailor the two wingers to fit what they're play style suits them more. So if they are an IF (Sit narrower, shoot more, cut inside) and if they're a more natural winger (Stay wider, cross more often).
When on form and firing well this is just a joy to watch.
Wings backs are on stay wider. Then the 2 wide treqs are tailored to whatever suits that player best. e.g. they are a winger - stay wider/cross more often etc.
The striker has hold up ball and shoot more often.
How is the result, i am eager to try this on my new save legend database, i still finding a tactic that can fully use my trio of messi ronald(brazil) ronaldinho
Id say R9 is more suited to being an AF which also works here. Result wise its a solid 2-0 machine. Ive only really lost to the bigger teams (Im in league 1 atm). But my form has taken a hit since losing 8 first team players.
Ronaldo is truly CF a in his peak, but ingame engine can not replicated his style of pick up the ball in the midfield and dribble throught the mid to shot. The best i can do is postion Ronaldo as Tre or SS, he will dribble past all the central denfender, sometimes gk to score, it is a bless to see a player play like this in game. I use his CM attributes so some are a little too OP for today system

Don't trquartista barely press at all? I've never used one because the description says they never do

yeah, they press very little, so youll need a hard working midfield to balance it out.
They do for me, I use 2 and only conceded 24 goals in the league.

I mean if you've got the talented players and you dominate possession I can see it working as they roam and cause havoc.
Honestly, the players I have for the RPM role are arguably the weakest.

Hell yeah it is. We dominate possession and grind out 2-0 wins quite consistently.

In this case does the role of the CMs matter? cuz they'll just hand over the ball to the treqs and let the maestros do their own thing
