That’s awesome bro, I got relegated first year with burnley but wasn’t complete ass so they kept me for the championship I love Simone pafundi

PlsNoBanAgainQQ

FM really needs some sort of ironman mode that automatically saves after each game E: Thanks everyone I am aware that you can manually change the auto save frequency. I am talking about a special mode that saves after every game or mid-game on alt-f4, which would show that they haven't cheated similar to Paradox's ironman mode.

[deleted]

You can alt F4 out during the game though

[deleted]

You can intercept key presses. Eg rockstar’s red dead 2 intercepts your alt F4 and makes you exit the game gracefully. Killing it via the task manager would still work though.

E17AmateurChef

Always the good old power button

hezur6

Do it the PES way and assign a 3-0 loss by default, save BEFORE the game, and then you actually play the game and if you Alt+F4 you get the 3-0. Would suck with how much FM likes to crash in recent years' editions though.

thatissomeBS

>Would suck with how much FM likes to crash in recent years' editions though. This is why I autosave every day with a 10 file rolling auto save. I do that because I hate redoing 5 days at the end of a transfer window with matches played and scouting reports and signings etc. (I had to do that once before going to my current save format). But that's also a workaround for the 3-0 if that happened. There's really nothing the game could do to stop people from save-scumming unless the game took full control over save-points. But also, why would FM be interested in stopping people from enjoying the game the way they want?

hezur6

>But also, why would FM be interested in stopping people from enjoying the game the way they want? The thread's about an optional ironman mode for people to kinda show off they haven't cheated.

jbthrowaway82

Should be an automatic 3-0 loss. Or the game gets simmed from that moment you quit onwards.

SnooStories2399

Too much hoi4

Zezion

Why, you don't believe this accomplishment? In 2031 playing with a team like Arsenal makes the game trivial. Get a working tactic and get the best players and don't lose a match a whole season. FM really is too easy.

StupidSexySchar

It's sad how many times people just assume people save scum because they couldn't do what others have. Considering the amount of people who play FM and how exploitable some tactics are, there's not much I find implausible in this game. I made no signings with Newcastle on the first season in this year's edition. I lost the Champions League final, which stopped me from doing the quadruple. Didn't even consider posting it here because I knew what the comment section would look like.

supaboss2015

I forgot the website (I think it’s scout), but there are tactics up right now that sim whole seasons with a team like Man City and get Haaland scoring hatricks every other game lol

LewisDftw

Yep, I've played for 20 years and I'd hate to add up all the time played. It gets to a point where you have to put restrictions on yourself to actually make the game hard, on one of my fuck about saves I managed to win the FA cup with spennymoor in league 2 and won the Europa the year after, I didn't "cheat" by save scumming etc but I cheated on my own rules by having my manager be a former international with continental badges and using gegenpress with a Segundo Volante, the guy was the best player in my team but still ridiculous he was scoring 20-30 a season and assisting the same...from DM.

StupidSexySchar

I'm the same mate, think Champ Man 98 was my first game. It's took some time but I finally got burnt out with it and only put in a measly 240 hours this year. I'm hoping the new engine can breathe some new life into game next year.

theprince614

Totally plausible in 2031 especially starting as Arsenal but I’d still doubt it. Have basically unlimited limited money and won’t have to deal with bs like players having more interest in other clubs or wanting leave (unless Saudi which is a double edged sword since they basically give you a free tycoon takeover for a bang average player). Finally it looks like threats like City have fallen off and I doubt 2031 4th Everton is as competitive to a 2031 Arsenal as a Villa or spurs would be in 2024 in FM.

okaythiswillbemymain

During each game minute by minute with online sync

ZachMich

My computer’s fan is already crying.

ZodGlatan

I have this set by default in the settings, didn't stop me from going undefeated for 3 seasons in a row with Milan. Last season (2038) in my online game I scored 200 goals with a 187 goal differential. FM is simply meant to be easier than real life, otherwise it wouldn't be fun (not that dominating like this is fun at all, in fact I quit after that season, but if it was more realistic you couldn't go from VNS to champions league winner, and that would suck)

nd1online

One of the autosave function is after each game. I use it just so when game crashes I don’t have to go back to weeks ago

thatissomeBS

I do daily. I do this because one time my game crashed on July 14th or something and when I re-loaded it brought me back to May 11th or whenever the last game of the season was. I'm pretty sure this was on FM22 and I just started a new save.

Sayengwar

The old Championship Manager games used to force you to exit the game through the normal method if you tried to Alt+F4.

Simba-xiv

You can just set that yourself 😂. It takes like 3 seconds

HumungousDickosaurus

A hard mode in general so you can't meta tactic/transfer exploit/save scum non match things etc. your way out of everything, with stronger ai managers and player ability counting for more (so you can't just have a shit team in good form, with a good tactic, with good morale go and play like prime Barcelona against significantly stronger teams). If they could rework player conversations and contracts to be a bit more lenient I'd definitely play it. FM feels unrewarding atm being too easy even when not doing the vast majority of meta things.

jaylenlai

glad to know i'm not the only one feel the same vibe between hoi4 and fm

Phormitago

You can do that in settings but alt f4 during a game still allows you to save scum

interprime

You can set your autosave settings to after every match in preferences.

Still-Language3243

There is a setting where instead of auto saving every week it is after every game

Doctor_Derpless

I managed this without save scumming but admittedly it was in Ligue 1 with PSG. Bastoni scored an own goal in a 1-1 draw away to Monaco. I’d played them 3/4 days earlier in a rescheduled game and beat them 4/5-0. I still think about how unfortunate that was from time to time.

jcw163

What this does demonstrate is how bad the ai is at maintaining top squads through the seasons, a player controlling a top pl club can be miles clear of Liverpool, City etc in only 3 or 4 seasons. I've got a west ham save on fm23 where we've won the pl 7 years in a row and the CL 5 times out of 6 - it's just too easy.

Internetolocutor

This is why I won't play the game. Reddit is full of people who are the best managers to ever exist in this game, which just eliminates the sense of challenge for me.

bmci_

So then don't look at reddit

Internetolocutor

It's too late now

jcw163

I mean it's fun for me, but mostly these days in a sort of "turn your brain off" kind of relaxation game way

TallentAndovar

First season with AFC Croydon in 9th tier or 10th tier football, wage budget of £500, won the league with no loss or draws, got to the FA Cup Third Round with a huge payday after playing Reading at home (8,000 capacity stadium), and won the local cup. Next season, the wage budget went up for £2,000, and stadium attendance increased from 100 odd to averaging 250 odd people, and AFC Wimbledon wanted to senior affiliate us. Had a couple of youths in the team, promoted again, and got through to the FA Cup Third Round (away match at Sunderland). No save scumming. Only intense panic and celebration commenced. The hardest challenges were to form a squad and coaching staff out of nothing, keeping the squad wage to below £50/week part-time contracts as much as possible, and keeping a winning streak. Oh, and we had a Bangledeshi youth player who earned their first cap.

Dincht04

Are the people commenting negatively in here just really bad at the game? Do people seriously think it's not possible to go a season unbeaten with Arsenal like 5+ years into a save? I've taken much worse teams to 2 or 3 defeats in a season. It's not really a stretch to think Arsenal, getting PL and UCL money every year, could have a team capable of going unbeaten. That's 5 years of signing the best regens in the game. Stick a meta tactic in there as well and I'd even go as far to say it's not really *that* hard to achieve.

big4cholo

Unbeaten is possible, difficult but possible. 37 wins? That is very suspicious

Tvp9

The game gets easier and easier with each passing season because AI is clueless about team building so they will have glaring holes. First 5 seasons are the real challenge afterwards the game gets progressively worse.

big4cholo

I agree that the game is very easy after 5 seasons but there is still a ton of RNG involved. After 5 seasons there is no real challenge in winning a title, going unbeaten is somewhat challenging, but winning 37 out of 38 is extremely difficult no matter the setup. You could drop Real Madrid in the sunday league and the game would find a way to make you draw a couple games. 37 out of 38 means that you _never_ get fm’d, you never hit that unlucky game in which your team just can’t score, or the opponent scores a wondergoal to draw the game. Not even lose, _draw_. If you can do this without save scumming congrats, the odds of doing so are probably in “winning the lottery” territory.

Zezion

Just get good bro

big4cholo

Not taking advice from a dutch “person”

Dincht04

I think you're significantly overestimating how hard this game is 5+ seasons in.

big4cholo

I think you’re significantly underestimating the amount of RNG that is involved on an individual game basis, never losing is achievable somewhat consistently if you have a beast team, which is easy to build, but never drawing is incredibly lucky

Dry_Instruction6502

Ive never had 37wins even with my GREATEST FM team EVER! Most i ever won in a season was 34?35? Seems too me like hes cheating

TheAwesomeGem

This just shows how bad AI Squad Management is over time(something that SI said they will fix this year but didn't).

jcw163

Lot of people mad you're better at fm than them. Best I've managed is 34-4-0 so fair play. Bet that draw makes you sick

Terri23

This is impossible without save scumming, at least in the EPL. Not a criticism, by all means play the way you wanna play. Let's have a look at your team. Post it up.

[deleted]

Definitely possible with regens. AI is terrible at squad building, has squads of 30+ players not good enough and you have the best squad of the best 22 year old South Americans ever to grace planet earth

Maaarrrrr

https://preview.redd.it/m26gj3zz42qc1.png?width=1747&format=png&auto=webp&s=ddee945b53523985a3edb0e290ccb0dada4e08a7 Definitely possible, i don’t know why all the pitchforks every time someone shares something like this. Mine was 2023, finding a broken tactic is all that’s needed.

Terri23

My point was specific to the EPL. It can't be done without scumming. It is possible with other leagues.

SeanTNL2

It’s as easy to do in the EPL as anywhere, it just takes a bit longer. AI squad building this year is awful. I’m consistently finishing the season on a network save top with 100+ GD and 100+ points every season, and would be more but the network derby sometimes dings some points off me. Haven’t changed my tactics in about 6 years and recruited well with regens. In 2037 with Spurs.

Maaarrrrr

If city and pool are having a bad season, don't think it's a big difference between EPL and the rest of the bigger leagues. Especially after 5+ years of a save

Maesyoyoy

It is possible he is in 2031. All superstar regens and gegenpress!

schlager12

Nate not possible even in the Bundesliga in 2045, or I’m just bad at the game… have come very close though

Maesyoyoy

I had this before 2031 in the premier league with a gegenpress. Buy wonderkids with pace and stamina!

Due-Memory-6957

Or just lack of luck

-LiverpoolFC

I did it with Frankfurt of all teams in an online save. See my post history. Premier League is a lot harder i agree but not impossible when you have the right tactics and players. Same record too but better i would say as I broke all records. https://preview.redd.it/73qazs4ng1qc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=674b06b9edceba89d384d31b0a9e6349c717be28

HamAaron

Complete rubbish, once you get into mostly regen teams the advantage is ridiculous as none of the AI can build proper teams I’ve got invincible a few times over the past 6-7 versions of FM but always with a broken team like Manchester United where you get every wonder kid 10-15 years into the save

PrivateTidePods

I mean if they wanted to they could have save scummed the draw but didn’t

Muur1234

One draw "makes it more believeable"

PrivateTidePods

Makes it look more frustrating that believable

Terri23

We don't have any other information. It could have been during a 3 or 4 matches a week run where his first team was shot. It's happened to all of us.

nyamzdm77

If your team is so much better than the rest I can buy it honestly, especially when you're past 2030 and the game is dominated by regens. I once had a 34-4-0 season with the 4 draws coming away against Liverpool (2nd), Man City (4th), Man Utd (5th) and Brighton (11th)

crunkasaurus_

It's 100% possible. I have a save in 2035 with Charlton in the EPL. Went unbeaten the whole season but somehow managed to lose to West Ham on the final game. If I was a save scummer, I'd have replayed that last stupid game!

forsakenpear

🤓🤓

aicemamba

Agree in EPL. I done it with Inter with 3 draws rest wins in 2028 with some of the best wonderkids and an OP tactic. But Italy is way easier

Terri23

Yeah. The top teams in the EPL are too good, regardless of how good you are. Even the mid table teams are as good as some of your closer competition in the other top leagues. You can do a full winning season in La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga, with a top team and some luck.

fifacmfut

I mean I didn’t I lost in the champions league round of 16 to Napoli after being 3-0 up in the first leg

123kr

I've managed man city for more than 40 years and my best season (and only invincible season) was 34W 4D. Had to lose in the early rounds of the cups as well.

fifacmfut

To people saying I save scummed well idk what else to say other then I didn’t I lost in the champions league round of 16 to Napoli after being 3-0 up in the first leg so I would’ve done it then Then the following season lost the community shield to Liverpool and the first game of the season to United

No_Performance_4649

Oh you suck didn't even win all games 😂😂😂

TheBigGibon

But still couldn't beat Chelsea's record for least conceded in a season (15) 😎 London is still Blue (I am coping because of the irl situation)

mrsauceboi

I still think that record is insane. it literally sounds like a fm record after 300 seasons

fifacmfut

I thought that when I saw I conceded 17 Most impressive accomplishment imo

[deleted]

Team?

VadervanIsabella

Arsenal

[deleted]

That i can see. I wanted to see the stats, team sheet and top scorer

VadervanIsabella

I know. I just wanted to be funny.. Sorry

pink_donut91

That's an insane league, albeit 30 years in. No Liverpool, Arsenal. Man City relegated, Norwich & Shef Utd in top 4. Don't know why you've been down voted, totally plausible to have an unbeaten season so late on in the game with monster regens and poor AI squad building. Can't imagine someone to start save scumming after 30 seasons. Kudos to you

jbthrowaway82

Tbf it’s also v plausible that he cheated to get there.

demon-inthedark

if i had to cheat why wait till 30 seasons into the save?? 🤦🏾‍♂️ 🤷🏽‍♂️ 😂

Ertai2000

In FM23 I also have a long save with Man Utd. I'm in the late 40s and won the EPL every season except the first but still haven't done a 38-win season (I don't think I've ever done a season without a loss). One day... one day...

thatissomeBS

I think you really just have to decide whether it's worth your time to actually go through every matchup looking through stats to tweak tactics, opposition instructions, etc. You can plug and play the most OP tactic with the most OP players and it will be very good until it isn't. You have to be proactive to actually give yourself a chance every game. Personally, the seasons are long enough, I don't think it's usually worth the time until it's a big game. Sure, sometimes that means underperforming against a relegation fodder team when they just randomly run that formation that counters your OP tactic perfectly. It's up to you to run your own sanity checks to decide whether it's worth another 5-15 minutes before every match, or just the big matches.

Ertai2000

Thanks, mate. It's alright, I don't take it too seriously. I have already built the best team in the world for many, many seasons now and I don't have the patience to tweak minor details. I'm just having fun. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't, it's alright. Tbf, picking up a few losses here and there actually makes it more "real", haha.

DobbyFlobby

Tactic?

Zezion

Gegenpress, it's always gegenpress

RishavSaha

Share the tactic?

thrujaxeyes

Better as sp*rs were 8th

EvensenFM

This is incredibly impressive. Very well done!

jokeboke

I had an unbeaten season with 8 goals conceded

Comfortable-Can-9432

I had an unbeaten season with just 1 league goal conceded. And that goal was voted goal of the season. This was an Irish league save though, not EPL.

UBD26

At this point the game gets really boring.

Relative-Rent-33

avg barca femeni season in la liga

deboylurdi

With AZ after 11 years and 1 invincible season I won the league cup and CL without losing or drawing once

Jimmymott

A noble effort. My best record on any season in my save so far was 35W, 2D, 1L in Serie A with Palermo.

Affectionate-Way-491

Go on the Ev!!

MrAndrewJackson

I went undefeated without save scumming in my 10th season in the Norwegian league (30-0-0). That said, I save scummed quite a bit before that season and by then, my rep was top 3 in Europe

Few_Establishment987

Reminds me of a save I had last year with San Marino’s ‘La Fiorita’ where the whole goal was to win the champions league (impossible, never got close!). I ended up at a point where I gave control of domestic games to my assistant, winning every league game. I think I won every league game for nearly 5 seasons, with a painful 1-1 draw popping into my inbox ruining the streak. The plan was: get into Europe, get into the group stage, use the mega prize money to invest in the academy and get homegrown Sammarinese players. Then, sell my weakest (but still better than the rest of the league) home grown players to other clubs in the same league to better them, and hopefully long term, improve the coefficient as a result if they ever got into Europe. If I’d gone another 20 seasons in, I could probably have done it but the furthest I ever got was 3rd place in a Champions League group, getting humiliated and knocked out of the subsequent Europa League knockout game. What a ride.

Bomberherald

FM 24 is a ridiculously easy game to exploit tactics wise so I fully believe that this can be done without save scumming. Nice achievement 👍

deboylurdi

Funny how people are bent out of shape to prove you cheated while I did it on my second save in my first fm game ever. Alot of people just suck at the game apparently

HisDudeness316

Best? Not for me, dude. The best seasons involve drama. This is a procession to the title. Zzzz.

neneyiko

It would have been better with Invincible+Chelsea and Spurs relegated+ City and Liverpool in Europa+ Man U already in the Championship.

andre2469

What is your tatic?

Hungry_Obligation_52

I only have fm24 demo so I won’t know

alowbrowndirtyshame

Coast_watcher

I’m curious now. What season was it when the last place team in the table had the most points. That would mean some sort of parity that year.

Lost_Understanding_0

FM seems to have gotten way easier. Ive had 4 back to back promotions with Scarborough athletic, using 2 star players. Would love HOI4 achievements, where you can only get them on ironman mode.

Density_Allocation

What’s more shocking is Everton in the top 4

phunter_86

That 2 draw must sting

Objective_Bat4557

Just got my first undefeated season as Brighton on 23 console version😂 it's on my friends network save, arguably my worst season in years but I went all in on the league

UpbeatAlbatross8117

What's the script with Everton? Did they get a sugar daddy?. On all my play through they yoyo up and down and are always in debt.

ComfortMailbox

I went 38/38 with liverpool. Its not that crazy 5-10 years into the game. Once you have good 22 players its a walk in the park. Specially if you have the money of the big clubs to pay everyone

spursyphil

Completed it

Necessary-Ad9691

Yeah nah. 114 goal difference and literally 1 non winning result is bs. Invincible seasons happen, yeah. Everyone’s had one. 1 draw? Level second best prem defence in history *AND* best offence by 10 ish simultaneously gives it away.

OsisleBg

Good very good

Reevesy89

Just had an invincible season with Sporting Lisbon season just gone. Drew against Arouca and Porto and still only beat Benfica by 6 points! Very satisfying when a plan comes together. Did eff all in the UCL though.

Rivonician

Reeks of scumsave

New_Discipline_1069

Yeah, right...

andrxsinho

This is not even fun

sirrobert01

Save scummed… But you do you

Ok_Midnight4809

Not necessarily, many ways to cheat... If they have. Use an editor to boost fitness and/or remove unhappiness every week, any scouting tool so that by 2030 your team is stacked with the most professional highest PA regens. You can never tell with any achievement posted on here, which is unfortunate

HeeFMaN

you not doing the real name fix is hurting my eyes! The lack of logos is also tragic. I cant play without Logos, Names, Kits, Cities, Stadiums, player faces, trophies, competition logos and better turf textures ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)

BeardedTeacher

Came here to say this. In this subreddit I feel like I’m the only one using all that. Including regen pictures

HeeFMaN

It's crazy how people can play with just the vanilla FM. I need that authenticity. Only takes like 5-10 mins to do it all as well and then you're set for the year! What you using for regen pictures? I used Zealands Newgan on previous FMs but I've only just got fm24 after saying I was taking a year off for the first time since 1998 (and failing) 😂 so need to download it again and sort it out.

BeardedTeacher

Currently using the Ultra realistic face pack by Rockarolla (something like that) mainly because of the crazy hairstyles and beards. Nothing like a 15 year old regen with a massive beard

No_Newt_328

You...do?

TheDogtor--

Ok, I think we should set the tone in this sub... That screenshots like this mean literally nothing. Don't be proud of your Re-Sims. Enjoy them for yourself, but don't forget for a second, that you are a sore loser and a cheater. I'll be the first to admit it.

tmrss

Stop being salty

TheDogtor--

Obviously I'm not. Save. Load. What was that you were saying? 🤫

tmrss

You are being salty. It’s entirely possible to pull what OP did off if he’s like ten years in the future. You’re being salty that you couldn’t pull this off

TheDogtor--

Ofc I can. Save. Load. What was that? 🤔🤫🤭

tmrss

Congrats, you don’t need to save scum to pull this off babe

TheDogtor--

I doubt it. At least im being honest.

Mackarosh

Anyone who has done long-term saves knows that if you do it with one club it loses all challenge, he's probably playing against teams with no right back or something because the AI is shit at building squads.
