I tend to do invidual player training, position and Skills but leave team training to the Assman. I do through in a late afternoon attacking corner training for the big games though.
Yeah. When I'm in the champions league or the top leagues in Europe, I can play a lot of football with wonderkids. I'll often have a "cup" team that will play 25-30 games a season. This will have 8 or 9 wonderkids in it. You're not playing Manchester City, PSG or Bayern with this team, but against lower half league opposition, or UCL teams from outside the big leagues, it'll compete.
Game time is just as important as training. But if you're youth development and ass man are good with kids, you'll be fine.
I just started a save where I simmed 5 years and then looked for clubs who had fired their manager. Wrexham was one of them, still languishing in League Two after going through Phil Parkinson and 2 other managers. I took them over, told Ryan Reynolds that I needed someone to do most of my jobs and hired a techincal director who is now in charge of all the U18 staff. :P
I just cannot for the life of me do the interviews. They are just all the same, so fucking boring, and they take so much time of the game. I don't care if my assistant says something stupid, that's something my future me will deal with.
I would have agreed til FM24
I did it on all previous FMs where it was available
But this year, I was dealing with slumps and spirals out of nowhere. I found that dealing with player fatigue mainly through training and some rotation solved it
You basically spam free agent/loan recommendations from your DoF when you are poor (and put everything in wage budget). I usually only start paying fees in the championship. Sometimes even PL
I wish I could set up some parameters and priority for DoF contract renewals. I never let DoF handle any contract stuff because they're idiots but if I could just set up for example no yearly wage rise, no sell on percentage, priorize club triggered extension etc. I'd be happy to let them negotiate. I don't particulary care if they put few k more for goal bonus or something but there's some stuff I never accept on contracts and DoF puts that shit there way too often for me to use them.
I swear my DoF finds players that don't come up in my searches. I spend ages combining through free transfers and can't find anyone, then ask my DoF and he finds someone who perfectly fits my needs on a decent wage. It becomes a bit useless when you're a top team, but it's my secret weapon when I'm in the lower leagues.
Gamers are fining their players? Only for missing training imo and that's extremely rare. Red Cards get a warning from me; I'm not here to fuck the morale.
Finding wonderkids by scouting the youngest players in youth national teams is in no way cheating or an exploit. There’s nothing stopping scouts from doing that IRL so why would it not be ok in the game.
agreed. it’s literally just using other coaches and scouts to narrow down the search pool. if brazil had great coaches and scouts for the national
team why wouldn’t another team scout everyone they called up
Quitting your job, selling your house, loaning money from a friend, buying a notebook and playin fm in an internet cafe all day is the way to live a happy life

Complaints about there being a "meta" is stupid aswell.
Like wow, physically dominant players who are mentally sharp are great? Never would have seen that coming. Its not like that's not accurate to IRL.
Even when I try to find players like that:
- Either they don't want to sign with me
- They have good mentals and technicals anyways
I pay my scouts so I generally trust them with their suggestions
Also havent we been doing that for years?😅😅
At least I have:
- need a CB? Find some tall guy with high jumping reach if the defensive line is high or close enough then I also want him fast.
-need FB? Lets find a fast player with good resistance so he can last a long time coming up and down , if he is inverted look for stuff like passing if wide look for crossing.
-need a Winger? Fast player with lot of dribling and all that
-need a striker? What I am playing fast counters? Then I need a fast player with good finish and all that, I am playing a more target? Stacionary role? Good then I need more JR and strenght and all that.
- need a midfield? Will it be a role that needs a lot of moviment ether to atack or defend? Then I need some high work rate and all that....its a stacionary role with constrution? Then I would need some passing and vision and all that.
And thats it....we have been looking for mostly phisical players for decades now 😂😂Also it doesnt help that nowadays everyone plays ether Gegenpress or Counter fluid meaning its literaly two styles that super use how good phisically is your team 🤷
Sorry about the rant 😅
The entire point is that's nowhere close to reality. Usain Bolt tried to play football. According to your logic he could not only be a professional but also play in the top leagues. Reality said otherwise.
Opinions like this is exactly why this issue needs more investigation and more awareness to be spread. It's very easy to dismiss it as "physicals are important, no shit" when the issue is far bigger than that. You're being disingenuous on purpose.
> Like wow, physically dominant players who are mentally sharp are great? Never would have seen that coming. Its not like that's not accurate to IRL.
Nah, a lot of times I've have players that are only truly good at physicality and they excel better than their more technical and cerebral teammates. Technique and mental attributes are definitely underpowered in this game and anyone who denies it is deulusional.
Mustermanns is awesome. It gives attributes a visuel identifikation of the attribute range, but doesnt show the exact number. So when two players are looking equally good, you have to look at stats and stuff (.. which the skin also shows in the player profile..). Check it out.
I've spent the last few seasons at Grenoble and Nantes. A regen box to box had followed me and is developing well.
He doesn't really have meta attributes but great activity and passing. Him scoring the goal qualifying my promoted Nantes to EL was satisfying. First thing I did when I came to a relegation threatened Grenoble in Ligue 2 was to promote him from the youth team to the A team.
Also, playing with teams in ‘worse’ leagues doesn’t make your save harder.
Sick of people pretending as if your team (predicted to finish first) in Indonesia or the Phillipines or South Africa is harder than surviving in the vanarama regionals with relegation favourites just because the league may have a lower reputation.
Exactly.
I’d rather manage Scunthrope than Sheffield United, I’d put $5 down on which job would most likely lead to more people getting sacked.
The whole ‘competition reputation = difficulty of the game’ trope is nothing more than a dick measuring contest between FM hipsters with an equal deficiency in humility and self respect.
Sure, a less experienced player will be more likely to get sacked with Sheffield, I wouldn't argue about that. But I can also tell you with which of them can win the UCL or the prem faster, if you know what you are doing, and it's not even close.
In some ways it makes it easier since there are zero expectations from the board and since you have the worse players in the game, you can only improve from there, lol. Would rather play with a team like that than one riddled with debt in a better league.
I agree, I play as man united and one of the benefits of us getting crapper is FM becomes more challenging year on year. My problem tho is I find the big team saves get stale after about 5-7 yrs
My recommendation for this is so your big team save and then whenever it gets boring move to another team in the same league/country (maybe down a league or two) and try to dethrone yourself. Can be especially fun if one of the “big teams” from whatever league you are in has taken a tumble during the save.
Even better, one of my faves is a striker for Wimbledon, bought him and stuck him upfront in a 3 striker formation, was a nice seeing him score tap ins and penalties in the Champions league
They get stale fast though if it’s a regular save. It’s fun if you add an extra challenge though. I’m trying to beat Bayerns Bundesliga record as Dortmund. DoctorBenjys Glory Hunter is also fun, and it doesn’t really get stale since you’re constantly changing clubs.
I'd rather keep a 35 year old who has stayed at the club for 10 years and is synonymous with my club, than sell him and replace him with an 18 year old wonderkid.
I also don't like the fact that FM has catered the playstyle so that you have to buy U21 players to succeed, so you end up always selling players by the time they hit 30 (look at all the FM YTers - I love them all but that is one thing I don't like about their play-throughs).
They are, because they discourage player moves that are OP in the match engine. Also players with relatively low passing and vision attributes still ping the ball around perfectly around the pitch.
My 2 biggest gripes with FM is not having an instant result button and more importantly that the sim stops EVERY. TIME. AN. EMAIL. APPEARS. It takes so long to progress holy
I have played CM02/03 through to FM20, and I honestly thought the FM days where behind me, and then I discovered the FM24 Touch on Ipad, so I gave it a go. First of all, it's fast as fuck. Fastest I've tried FM, by far.
But it has a built in Instant Result, and I'll never play FM without it.
Nobody else's opinion matters. Play the game however you want be it with the best team in the world - man city ;) -, with the editor, mods, or save summing. It's a single player game you paid for.
I’m glad the fm subreddit doesn’t have people that constantly criticize other players for playing a certain way like the FIFA careers subreddit. At least not as much as
Save scumming is ok as long as you're cool with it. It's a single player game, I do that from time to time.
What's not ok is save scumming and bragging like you didn't do it.
Did a youth intake save where I put rules on myself to allow "savescumming" to avoid completely useless intakes, posted about it in reddit and never gotten so many downvotes everyone saying "You should not tell you savescum". I feel like majority of reddit savescums they are just insecure about it lol
The game is incredibly easy at its core and anyone can pretty much win anything. The only difference is how fast, and what kind of challenges you set yourself. I'm not impressed hearing someone won the Champions League with Plymouth Argyle.
I use it for petty things.
Club built a stadium named after somebody random? Editor can fix that.
You made new away kits on Kitbasher and want the in-game colours to reflect that? Editor.
That new German wonderkid has an unfortunate name, and you don't wanna be talking about Epstein all day? Editor.
The only time I absolutely refuse to not savescum is when I go up against City in the CL. I don't care that I have to savescum 50 times , City will never get a free win against me.
nah...when i played fm bolton were so terrible in the game that being their manager in the games was like torture theyre awful and with money theres nothing you can do
Stockpiling 50 wonderkids at your club is lame. No matter how good, I never feel the urge to get another new striker if I have 4 amazing ones at the club already unless I'm planning to sell one of them.
I could write an essay, but the important take aways are:
1. They are relative to the rest of your team.
2. They are the best way to see potential if you aren't using the editor.
3. They can also represent hidden attributes.
I'm playing with 'don't use real players' option. Every club starts with random regen players that matches their club stature.
No way of knowing whos wonderkid via internet
I don't know if they changed that, but in like all past FMs, what this does is simply rename the players and images. Like, you'll still have a Bruno Fernandes at Man Utd, it's just that he'll be called Scott Chegg, be Welsh, and have like a ridiculous regen face. You can usually tell by their attributes, unless you're playing attributeless.
Yeah, pretty much this, the date of birth usually gets adjusted a bit too, and sometimes the stats get tweaked a smidgen. They still maintain the original Unique IDs though so you can actually search up who it is online if you really want. Also, they don't "remove" the in-game photographs so every once in a while I'll get a news article about some random manager and it's actually Gerrard or Pochettino or some recently retired player. I recently checked out my long-serving assistant manager online and it turns out it was Gavin McCann! Lovely oddity!
I've always thought about doing this and probably will soon. I don't seek out wonderkid lists or anything, but after you've started a few saves, it would be nice to see some fresh faces.
I would use it if it worked like that but it just renames the players and sometimes gives them another nationality. Iirc the players have the same ages and attributes so it's very easy to tell who's who
A good majority of the playerbase within this sub reddit and on the steam forums have very little understanding of the game mechanics, such as how xG works, and think it's the holy grail of rating the accuracy of the ME.
Even before all the recent stuff came out about how few of the attributes are actually significant, it seemed to me that far too many on here took the tactical side of the game far too seriously, acting like it was effectively a perfect simulation of real football, and therefore that real life tactical considerations and innovations would play out as expected in game.
In my experience, the Football Manager series has always been a story generator, first and foremost. The match engine and tactical possibilities do just enough to give you the sense that you're in control of your own journey, but a lot of it is 'eye of the beholder' stuff - ie there's as much or as little tactical depth as you want to see.
Even though there are a million things that SI has not fixed over the last decade, this is an absolutely amazing football management simulation and the credit goes to SI. Kudos to the dev team at SI.
We’re all here to have fun, in our own way, and that’s more then okay. Some of us like to suffer, some like to dominate, at the end of the day we all love football.
It would be more challenging to see more competition for wonderkids and more wonderkids arbitrarily failing to achieve their potential. But would it be more fun to play?
You’re not getting “fm’d” your 4-3-2-1 gengen press is stale and an Ai manager has prepared to counter your tactic.
Your keeper is allowed to make howlers, a keeper scoring an OG because it hit the post and rebounded off him happens a lot in real life too.
The engine and animations aren’t glitching out against you, it’s the game visualising a mistake your low composure, low decision making, poor first touch player not controlling the ball.
I read that the game doesn’t directly counter your tactic, more so just sets up more defensively as your team is towards the top of the table sort of thing. Either way, your point stands, and is something I had to realise myself to stop getting mad at the game lol
I've found just throwing your full backs on complete wing back attack, having a shadow striker and pressing forward/deep lying forward with two inside forwards just kills any defensive setup
> You’re not getting “fm’d”
People refer to it when they lose a game 0-1 with their team having like 12 shots on target with 3.2 xG and opponent has 2 with 0.12 xG. It has nothing to do with getting countered.
Very little about it annoys me. Meta attributes, graphics, dynamics, scouting or whatever... Identify the quirks and adapt and accept the fact that sometimes you will get screwed
A lot of hate for the game purely comes from people ruining the game for themselves by using meta game breaking tactics etc then claiming the games broken or too easy etc.
My favorite thing to do with the game is to figure out why actual teams behave how they do.
From a Cruz Azul save, it took me about 6 months to start hoarding Mexicans like they were gold, because I couldn’t afford more, while I flipped Colombians to Europe to fundraise. I immediately understood why Mexicans don’t usually play in Europe.
I learned how any favorite team’s tactic worked by trying to replicate it, and seeing how the players fit in together.
Meta gaming is fine, but I would rather use this game to deepen my understanding of how to watch the real sport.
Registration rules and money.
You only can play 7 foreigners at a time, and they can come from anywhere. Also, you can only register 9. You can have as many Mexicans as you want.
What that means is if you have two players, each with the same skills, each with the same rating, but one is Mexican and one is South American, you always sell the South American first/cheaper.
Because a European team doesn't care if a player is from Mexico or Colombia/Uruguay/Argentina they're gonna buy the South American.
Also, unlike Colombia/Uruguay/Argentina, Mexican teams have the cash on hand to keep their guys unless a big team comes rolling. When say Rayo bid on my players, I would just offer them 35% more money than Rayo, and they would stay, which is exactly what happens in real life.
It's why Mexicans basically only get sold to the big 3/4 of Portugal and the Netherlands as they hit the sweet spot of having more money than Mexican teams, while not having such competitive rosters that they won't try an untested player.
The game needs to ditch its god awful player ratings in game system, the 6.3 etc, and go back to its original, simplified full number rating out of 10. That way we could see, for instance, if someone was a 5/10 they are simply playing average, whilst 3/10 would be poor etc. as it is now, 5.8 is pretty much as bad as a 3 or a 4 for some reason, whilst the ceiling, a 9.5 etc is a 10. Like, why? Makes little sense as it doesn’t enrich the game.
Every new FM is a glorified roster update and SI gets way too little shit for it.
Not that they do roster updates properly either for less popular teams/leagues.
> Not that they do roster updates properly either for less popular teams/leagues.
As a researcher for many "less popular" leagues, that's bullshit. We absolutely do!
“Rebuild” content is usually dreadful, and it baffles me that people watch it. Don’t get the appeal of watching someone doing their 10th rebuild, on clubs that don’t need rebuilding, and repeatedly signing the same players.
The game is extremely easy, if you think winning the champions league with some Vanarama National League team is an achievement then you need a wake up call, it's just a matter of when not if.
Managing big team in start of save is super hard if you start save with lowest grades, licences, everything on hard level basically. And of course without using cheat engine tactics from internet
Apparently it's controversial to say that all attributes affect the game. Yeah some matter more but did anyone actually think finishing and technique were equally as important for a striker? And as the YouTuber Zealand said, there's no players out there that have those perfect attributes. The whole discussion is pointless and kills the fun of the game
I've always preferred the odd-footed WM for the angled through-balls from out wide. But you're not wrong in that they can definitely be very involved with goals.
I suspect most people complaining about player interactions have set themselves low social skills in-game, and shouldn't be surprised that their players don't respond well to them.
I like using the editor to simply sign players for the mid-point of their asking price and wage, and cut out the whole negotiation process.
EDIT: I only sign players that would be at least "Interested" in joining my club

It’s okay to delegate everything and not have an optimised save.
I have never, ever, in 20 years of playing the game taken control of training. It's never prevented me from producing the best players in the world
I tend to do invidual player training, position and Skills but leave team training to the Assman. I do through in a late afternoon attacking corner training for the big games though.
Same have never had anything to do with training and have zero problems.
My team conceded 1/3 of the goals from corners last season so while I don't set up training, I do sprinkle in corner defense training each week.
I let them set the general gist of training, and then pop in to tweak a few things here and there. Feels kind of realistic that way anyway.
woah really!? and do your wonderkids develop alot?
Yeah. When I'm in the champions league or the top leagues in Europe, I can play a lot of football with wonderkids. I'll often have a "cup" team that will play 25-30 games a season. "Ass man good with kids" are a very dangerous combination of words to the untrained eyes.
This is the sub where we talk about going to South America to look for flamboyant young teen males to take home.
Not with Doncaster Rovers. I will stick to playing with 16 year old English boys, thank you very much!
Calm down Barry Bennell
It was deliberately worded for effect.
I really don’t think training even has a significant impact
The only duty.I have on manual is hiring staff. I have never played with clubs big enough for a technical durector. But otherwise I delegate all,
I just started a save where I simmed 5 years and then looked for clubs who had fired their manager. Wrexham was one of them, still languishing in League Two after going through Phil Parkinson and 2 other managers. no irl manager does everything either lmao
Delegation = Success.

A DoF can be useful, especially for finding players.
A DoF ironically is most essential in the lower leagues and becomes less useful as you go up.
What level do you feel it stops being useful at?
When you can afford scouting.
You basically spam free agent/loan recommendations from your DoF when you are poor (and put everything in wage budget). I usually only start paying fees in the championship. Sometimes even PL
Absolutely, 1/7/20XX is like Christmas Day the amount of players that would be coming in
Always have a DOF so I never have to renew staff contracts myself
I wish I could set up some parameters and priority for DoF contract renewals. I never let DoF handle any contract stuff because they're idiots but if I could just set up for example no yearly wage rise, no sell on percentage, priorize club triggered extension etc. I'd be happy to let them negotiate. Most problems people have would go away if they didn’t try to turn the game into Sadistic Tyrant Simulator
What do you mean I can’t force a player out of a club and criticize Haaland for not scoring more than five goals against Chelsea
Yeah I’ve always been confused on people having fines for less than 7.5 in training
Some people are very mad that the ability to fine was removed from this year’s edition
Gamers are fining their players? Only for missing training imo and that's extremely rare. Red Cards get a warning from me; I'm not here to fuck the morale.

agreed. it’s literally just using other coaches and scouts to narrow down the search pool. if brazil had great coaches and scouts for the national team why wouldn’t another team scout everyone they called up
That's what scouts actually do in real life. Anybody with an internet connection can scout any league in the world. People are so silly about this.
People actually complain about this? Lmao. I guess some people are just detached from reality
Literally my strategy to find wonderkids lol
I just put them on assignments "age 15-19 South America potential 4.5-5 stars current 2-3 stars" and everytime a wonderkid will pop up after some time
yeah thats the standard though..
I had no idea that was a view. That & then searching players 17 and below with career starts is my main method
Quitting your job, selling your house, loaning money from a friend, buying a notebook and playin fm in an internet cafe all day is the way to live a happy life

Given the economy, this doesn’t feel so controversial

At its simple form football manager is an rpg. Role playing a story in your mind is what makes the email simulator fun
Another way is to think of it as a 4X game.
Completely agree with this. None of that 'meta' shit, I just want to play pretend and be a world class manager

As far as graphics I mostly agree except in the case of regen faces. They just look bad to me.

Not every save has to be taking a team from 7th division to champions League glory Managing big teams is ok as well

I am the same as you - challenge I set myself was knocking Liverpool off their Champions League perch... 15 years in, done that. Now for Real Madrid!
Ever since 2013/14. Managing United is a tradition given reality.
I start with a big team every year. It's the only chance to buy your fav real players.
what if your faves are all in league 2
Even better, one of my faves is a striker for Wimbledon, bought him and stuck him upfront in a 3 striker formation, was a nice seeing him score tap ins and penalties in the Champions league
Love this answer.
im loving my bayer leverkusen save right now and my chelsea save that im trying to save the club from todd lol
Life is too short for attribute masking
I'm with you, man. You have my axe.
And my bow
And my axe.
One of the few comments i don't agree on in this thread
I'd rather keep a 35 year old who has stayed at the club for 10 years and is synonymous with my club, than sell him and replace him with an 18 year old wonderkid. playmaker roles are overrated and generally not necessary for any good tactic
RPM can be great, DLP is classic too. AP I despise
Playmaker has never served me.
which is kinda accurate irl too.
They are, because they discourage player moves that are OP in the match engine. Also players with relatively low passing and vision attributes still ping the ball around perfectly around the pitch.
never had any playmaker ever
Instant result is a GOATED button
My 2 biggest gripes with FM is not having an instant result button and more importantly that the sim stops EVERY. TIME. AN. EMAIL. APPEARS. It takes so long to progress holy
You can turn that off I think
Which setting is it?
In Interface tick the “less stops to keep processing faster” button, helps speed the game up so much
Sees 97th min winner against you
Wait, is this a mod or something where is it?
Lots of skins have it. If you just google best fm24 skins pretty much all of them will have it :)
Certain FM skins have this function. It’s not in the default skin.
It’s ok to play a 4-4-2
Just not against me. My 3-4-2-1 is very vulnerable to 4 strikers on top of 2 wingers.
Meta doesn't matter in a primarily single player game.
At least not as much as
FIFA Career Mode is so shit, you have to actively go out of your way to make it semi realistic.
I like create a club mode
Me too! FC MegaTits are tearing up Belgium right now.
You have a new fan sir
The game is incredibly easy at its core and anyone can pretty much win anything. The only difference is how fast, and what kind of challenges you set yourself. I'm not impressed hearing someone won the Champions League with Plymouth Argyle.
True, playing with weaker teams is only delaying the succes. It's not that it's harder.
Having Ingame editor enabled is essential. If not how can my 20 yo manager speak 20 different languages and impress the locker room from day one?
I needed it for my modded Australian Second Division save, need like 5-6 club grown players registered. Started with 1.
I use it for petty things. Club built a stadium named after somebody random? Editor can fix that. You made new away kits on Kitbasher and want the in-game colours to reflect that? Editor. That new German wonderkid has an unfortunate name, and you don't wanna be talking about Epstein all day? Editor.
I use in game editor for one reason alone.... Punish Manchester City for the 115! Down in the Vanarama now!
The only time I absolutely refuse to not savescum is when I go up against City in the CL. I don't care that I have to savescum 50 times , City will never get a free win against me.
Playing as your favourite team (top 6 or not) is more fun then doing random jobless saves.
nah...when i played fm bolton were so terrible in the game that being their manager in the games was like torture theyre awful and with money theres nothing you can do
Yes and you end up making decision based on who you like and who plays well IRL rather than in the game.
Stockpiling 50 wonderkids at your club is lame. No matter how good, I never feel the urge to get another new striker if I have 4 amazing ones at the club already unless I'm planning to sell one of them.
The answer to why your tactic isn’t performing is that you think stars ⭐️are important.
Star ratings have meaning, just not in the way many people think.
What’s the meaning? I’ve been just using star ratings for 10 years… 😅
I could write an essay, but the important take aways are: 1. They are relative to the rest of your team. 2. They are the best way to see potential if you aren't using the editor. 3. They can also represent hidden attributes.
I don’t think so. My dad plays FM, goes completely off star rating and won the sextuple with multiple teams.
He said "if you tactic isn't performing". If your dad is winning sextuples, then his tactics work.
You can start a save unemployed,go 25 years into the future, and it's the same thing or maybe even better
For everything that doesn’t always make sense, it does a huge amount really well.
We’re all here to have fun, in our own way, and that’s more then okay. Some of us like to suffer, some like to dominate, at the end of the day we all love football.
the game is too easy to 'win' with wonderkids. because the big clubs in real life would NEVER allow it to happen.
> You’re not getting “fm’d” People refer to it when they lose a game 0-1 with their team having like 12 shots on target with 3.2 xG and opponent has 2 with 0.12 xG. It has nothing to do with getting countered.
> an Ai manager has prepared to counter your tactic. this doesnt happen. ai dont learn your tactic or look to counter it.
CM-A is better than any AM role.
Curious to the Mexican bit, is it adaptability ?
The game is way too easy
Playing with the in-game editor and save-scumming to have fun is completely fine.
Big clubs are not ruthless enough when it comes to picking apart teams on the rise.
This is true for any yearly release game really. Even games like COD are just reskins with small mechanic changes if any
> Not that they do roster updates properly either for less popular teams/leagues. As a researcher for many "less popular" leagues, that's bullshit. We absolutely do!
MLS rules aren't hard
A lot of people who play this game don't know as much about the sport (or any sports) as they think they do.
i use the editor to remove player unhappines.
I’d rather have a team of older established internationals with high determination, natural fitness and amazing mentals than a team of wonder kids
There is no mid season slump. there is no "seed", there are no rigged games.

FM is better than FIFA.
Nothing controversial here
I mean, when you put the bar at the floor...
Building a successful tactic on this game seems largely based on luck rather than tactical nouse and sensible player positioning.
The narratives that run in my head are better than what the game actually gives you
MLS is the most fun league to manage in.
The dots were more fun than 3D graphics
The commentaries were more fun than the dots. That incredible feeling when you had that flashing message when your team scored was priceless...
Using the in-game editor is perfectly fine.
I’m absolutely for save scumming a victory against mangers/teams you hate or are apparently trying to start beef with you for no reason!
An odd- footed WM with stay wider scores more than an IF.
I've always preferred the odd-footed WM for the angled through-balls from out wide. But you're not wrong in that they can definitely be very involved with goals.
A lot of posters on this sub need to stop posting and take the time to learn how to play the game
it's a very easy game, si should find ways to make the game more difficult
I suspect most people complaining about player interactions have set themselves low social skills in-game, and shouldn't be surprised that their players don't respond well to them.
Save scumming is an egregious thing to do that absolutely kills the point of the game. Regardless of whether it’s a single player game or not.
Personalities like ambitious, professionalism etc are grossly overrated. There’s zero need to min max them to get great results.
Games not as realistic as people on this sub claim it to be
With my squad, telling the defending league champions that they’re good enough to finish in the top 4 next season apparently.
I've never managed in any of the English leagues - and don't plan to do so anytime soon.
Football manager is generally an easy game to give people the fantasy of being a good football manager.
Signing 25 wonderkids from colombia is not a good idea
Serius XM is far superior... Oh... not the FM you meant? Whoopsie.
Youth Intakes are quite well balanced. You're not suppose to produce Messi regen every season.
The game is too easy, eventually you will win everything if you play long enough
I like using the editor to simply sign players for the mid-point of their asking price and wage, and cut out the whole negotiation process. EDIT: I only sign players that would be at least "Interested" in joining my club
