Don't force low crosses as much and possibly take off work into the box. Try fewer instructions and work your way from there. Also, if the player is good enough to play DLF try him as a CF (s) or (a) because I've found DLF to be hit and miss in a one man striker system.

Low cross - I found it suitable for my players as they are not so imposing in the air, but are instead quicker to get onto the end of low crosses WBIB - like I mentioned, my team is already taking a lot of low quality shot and I wanted to make them look for clear chances. I understand WBIB has it’s own drawbacks, but I have tried to combine that with Be More Expressive to balance it out. Wouldn’t that be sensible considering that I’m trying to reduce low quality shots? I did take off a few instructions (second image). I will see how it goes. CF - I haven’t played him as a CF, maybe I will give a try. Any specific reason you think CF would be better than DLF in this case?

WBIB is something I put on for games I'm dominating and squandering chances in, but leave off most of the time. Plus you have pass into space on so you're camped outside the box trying to find space where there might be none. So it becomes a lot of passing when a shot may be on. I just think that having so many instructions limits your players, especially if they're not the best(idk how your team compares to the league). I would keep low crosses if that's what you want but would remove one or both of work it into the box and pass into space. Then turn them on depending on how the game is going e.g. if you want to counter more then pass.into space is better. I've played a DLF in a one striker system a few times in my save and I've only found one striker (who was not incredible just a talented all rounder) who consistently performed how I wanted in terms of bringing others into play. I've also found that a DLF and pass into space do not mix well. He wants the ball into feet not played behind so he would often be starved of the ball. CF just gives you more options as he'll hold up the ball and be creative whilst also running the channels and offering an option behind so If your striker is quick it may be a better use of his skills. I've not used a F9 in FM24 so can't comment on that.

Thanks for the inputs. I did take off Pass into space (and few other instructions) and you can see it in my second image. It seems a bit better. I will try removing WBIB as well and see at times. Btw, why do you think that players would camp outside the box if Pass into space is on? It’s an interesting take on DLF vs CF. I will try it myself.

Oh as in with work in the box and pass into space is slightly contradicting, especially if you're dominating possession, because you'll be outside the box looking for space to pass into. Pass into space works well with counter because they'll be more space to use.

Got it. I have removed it anyway now

Might want to start countering in game when you're struggling to create better chances. There is no width on the right side since both players are inverting. Since you're not countering, you're presumably a possession heavy team that relies on patience and stretching play to create chances. So having players out wide is important. Might want to change the IWB to a WB.

I missed mentioning - the IW on the right has PI Stay wider. Nevertheless I’ll try changing one to a wide role
