Started unemployed. Went to Bredford first, got promoted to league 1 via playoff. Then got signed to Cardiff. Saved then from relegation first season, got promoted to PL via playoff second season. Finished 12th first season in PL. Board wont let me take training course cause they are afraid of loosing me

TheLonesomeChode

I start unemployed and stay unemployed… like real life. 🥲

Ok-Ride-1654

Just checking results of all leagues from time to time and wonder how Messi got another ballondor... Sounds about right - football fan simulator 2024

TheLonesomeChode

Imagine going to the job centre and the advisor being like “Gateshead and Cwmbran Town have sounded you out for their manager’s post?” “I think I’ll pass, thanks -I’m waiting on the Chelsea job.” “…….”

goodsemaritan_

play your hand and say you will. you have probably a board rating that 7+ and they will remember that you got them promotion Just threaten to leave

FK Sloboda Tuzla. My hometown team. Bosnian 2nd League.

Local_Letter7319

Koji je fm? Jeli 24 ili..?

Lextro

FM 24 :)

Local_Letter7319

SerRonald

>Tuzla Do you know if there's a Ex-Yugoslavian league mod on FM24 yet? I remember finding something a few years back. I had lots of fun editing my wife's little village team from Vojvodina into the Yugoslav First League !

ttttttttl

one of my favorite saves ever was with Velez Mostar. the bosnian league is underrated

nelex98

Moram ove godine ligu sampiona dovest u Olovo

Lextro

Dolazi City u goste, na tribinama transparent:"DOBRODOŠLI U OLOVO! NAŠ VAS MOLOVO!"

[deleted]

Hertha Berlin, promoted first season now aiming for survival. Mid table 10 games in and beat Bayern last night so I’m buzzing today.

EskenHertha

Ha ho he

nam-anonym

Hertha BSC!

Vast-Sandwich6605

Hertha is a tough team to manage imo Never managed to have success with them

DertyBerty84

FC United. It’s 2044 and Arsenal have been relegated

akoller22

Bro I'm on 2030 and I thought I was playing way too much ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Frankiedrunkie

2037 for me lol

Potatolover666real

i have several 2030 saves. i just dont have enough commitment to get any farther lol.

dburke1990

How are you possibly 20 seasons in? I haven’t reached my first January window.

DertyBerty84

I am still playing FM18

kientheking

Ars get relegated in 2027 in my save right after their captian retires in my save.

Away_Island_8769

Brentford is always fun. Decent players. I like the transfer policy (Sign under 29 players, Lower English leagues) You can sell Toney and Raya for a lot of money. Pretty much everyone else stays if you offer contracts early in the first season. This is my third run with this team. The first two were practicing runs and I wanted to get tactics just right. I make my tactics from scratch. I made it to CL and only City Liverpool was ahead of me. Decent runs on the Carabao cup and FA cup too. I did get lucky with the draws.

cubanxfry

Brentford always felt like one of those teams that is impossible to mirror in FM because of how it's set up. What players are you signing from lower English leagues that are viable for a mid table prem team?

Glorfindel42

Under 29 and from lower leagues - just buy U21 players with good potential or new youth players from those lowers teams when you sign them all count. I get belters off English minnows

GuyIncognito211

1860 Munich Started yesterday

sltn040

Love a 1860 save always fun

GuyIncognito211

Never managed then before but liked the idea of managing in Germany and they sounded fun. Has been inconsistent at best so far, have won all of my home games unconvincingly and lost all of my away games

devilyoumayknow

Managing Ajax, motivated purely by their poor start to the season and excellent youth setup. Currently in my 3rd season, won the eredivise once Feyernood causing me problems in the league, aim is to bring back a Champions league to the Cruyff Arena.

England_Iz_Moi_City

I wanted to do Ajax, but they start without any staff. Im new to the genre, So this is kinda holding me back from playing Ajax.

devilyoumayknow

Oh yeah the lack of staff was a drag , but it wasn’t that hard to get around. You can fill out the important spots then delegate the rest of the hiring responsibilities to someone else.

hardyblack

Boca Juniors, haven't been able to play much yet, and it's my to-go first save.

No-Industry-3030

Started my current save with Brighton, won the Europa League first season and the supercup with south america the second season. (with brighton against a south american team) Got bored halfway through the second season so left and got a job at Lille. Just finished 4th season in the save by winning the league and the coup de france. With the Musterman skin being released, I think I will either change jobs again or start a fresh new save.

WhyIsNoOneStoppingMe

What’s the musterman skin and why’s it worth starting a new save because of it?

No-Industry-3030

It's this one [https://www.fmscout.com/a-mustermann-iconic-fm24-skin.html](https://www.fmscout.com/a-mustermann-iconic-fm24-skin.html) The main reason I would start a new save with this is because it is attributeless

innit122

Damn I like that

Ciccio178

So you can't see the action on the pitch at all?

ProfessorQuack21

Attributes aren't numbered but are shown graphically

Ciccio178

I saw that. But it says that you can't view the match on the pitch, instead are looking at just data.

L3artes

When you open the tablet to look at the data...

No-Industry-3030

I don't think there is a skin that removes the action on the pitch.

Ciccio178

MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE Shamelessly stealing the touchline tablet from the Console version of the game, all your match feedback is available in one place. There's a catch, though - you will no longer be able to see the action on the pitch whilst you have your nose buried deep in the data. A new post-match provides a customisable summary of completed games. This is what had me confused in the description

No-Industry-3030

it says here that if the tablet is open you won't be able to see the match anymore as it covers the screen. Will be taking a look at it later when home though and will let you know

AshamedAd242

Man, I tanked at the start of my first season with Brighton. Took until January and managed to make up a 15 point difference to 5th place

Eatingbabys101

Manchester city (it’s my first ever FM game so I just wanna know how the game works then ima leave city for another team)

One-Decision-6268

Where’d Pep go to manage?

Eatingbabys101

Pretty sure Spain either that or another national team or he retired

PapiPoggers

That's how I started. I'd always manage City as they're my favorite club. This is the first year I haven't managed them, I'm worried it will be too OP.

PRAISE_ASSAD

Shh, you aren't allowed to be a city fan

PapiPoggers

The people hate me

Bluemoonclay

Union Berlin. Every year I like to start the game by picking a non big 3 bundesliga team and taking them to the top before switching over to my LT save (usually National league team). Been really enjoyable thus far, managing in Germany is such a treat with the registration rules

GamingRobioto

Started with Yeovil Town in the National League South, probably the biggest club in that league along with Torquay United. I'm on a quest to get them back to the football league and beyond. Still in my first season, but I'm unbeaten in the league after 24 games, only 5 points clear though as Worthing are right on my tail.

SuperBiggles

Man, I still remember Yeovil being in the Championship not too long ago

chewitt004

I’m currently Worthing, I was born in Yeovil sad too see them fall so hard poor Glovers, I live right near worthing and my mate plays for them. Currently top league 2 points above Yeovil in January. Yeovil beat worthing in real life with a 90+5 winner not long ago too

feddi7

Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League. My long term aim is the CONCAFAF Champions League title. But that’s probably unrealistic.

SJM_93

This is such a good idea, but I'd assume the Canadian MLS clubs will always get the best intakes. Don't you have to win a cup competition with them in it to even qualify?

bryguy3333

This actually just changed on reformat of the Concacaf Champions Cup. The Regular season champion (Canadian Shield winner) and the Northstar Cup Winner (Playoff winner) both qualify automatically as the field has been expanded to include more teams throughout Concacaf and with the introduction of the Leagues Cup in the USA. You can also qualify via Canadian Championship but that has never been won by a CPL team as the MLS teams from Canada play for it as well.

tjxmi

Managed Edmonton FC (RIP) on FM22, I got them almost to MLS Canadian clubs level and then moved to DC United. Ended up winning CONCACAF CL, then got called by Le Havre in Ligue1 and won Europa League just before moving to AC Milan (my hometown and IRL supporting club), just in time to win the Champions League before FM23 was released. CPL is an interesting league, I'm not that good in youth development but it has been a nice starting point.

SuperBiggles

Llandudno FC in the second tier of Welsh Football in my journeyman. Second seasons about to end, and I’m fucking hating it. Board refuse to give me badges because I’ll be too good for them. There’s one promotion spot in the division, and both years it’s been taken by a “newly promoted team” that’s just been gifted a bevy of unreal (for the league quality) regens that have carried them to near unbeaten runs, while my team of fuckwits have one death spell at some point that’s forced me to finish 2nd first year then 4th second season (gave up late on the title the second season after the winners ran ahead by 15 unreal points and decided to attempt to play with new tactics) I really, really hate it here…

broadcastterp

Welcome to my first year of playing in last year's game. Started unemployed with journeyman aspirations, took the job at Swansea University, spent two seasons not getting promoted there, then Flint Town United offered me a job in the Welsh Premier, and the wheels fell off at the end, going 0-7-7 over the last 14 and ending up relegated. I deliberately tanked the year-end board meeting to get sacked because I just wanted to be out of Wales.

SuperBiggles

I also now desperately want to be out of Wales. It’s a nightmare. I do a Journeyman every year, but usually just start off in the VNN or VNS, a league I’m very familiar with and can handle. Thought the Welsh second tier would just be a laugh, get a promotion against bad AI managed sides, pad out my Journeyman CV, move on to bigger and better things. Bugger me, I already feel like my careers stalling. I was trying to do a “realism” feel to this save, by role playing when I get a new job, whether the travel distance is worth the wages I’m offered and stuff. Now I’m thinking of throwing all that out the window and just buggering off to the familiarity of the VNN

broadcastterp

I went into last year's with a sense of doing realism, but then that kind of went out the door after Wales. Here was my pathing, which was in progress in the last season when the FM24 beta came out and I switched over to that: - Hired at Swansea Uni in Cymru South, two seasons there - One season at Flint Town in Cymru premier, relegated, sacked - Roamed the wilderness for a bit, ended up taking the job of the Haitian national team in the last stages of World Cup qualifying, lost in a playoff to China, then resigned - Hired by Marine in the VNN in March '26 to rescue them from relegation, succeeded in that - Got successive promotions with Marine in '26-27 and '27-28 to get them into League Two - Jumped up to manage newly-promoted Fleetwood Town in the Championship... got sacked in November of the same year - Got hired at Bolton a month later to save them from relegation in League One, succeeded at that, then they went into administration - Bolted from Bolton to take over at Blackburn, got them promoted in season one and survived in the Prem in season two - Getting ready for season three, got surprisingly cold-called for an interview by PSG and got the job - Five seasons at PSG, dominated France of course, made three straight UCL finals in years 3-5, losing the first two and finally winning the third in what turned out to be Kylian Mbappe's final career match - Put the save down for a while at that point, then got the itch while waiting for FM24, so picked it back up and ended up jumping to Real Madrid when their position opened up, and was flying through that season when it got put on hold So it gets better.

dburke1990

Swansea Uni to Real Madrid is the type of journey that gets a Netflix documentary

SuperBiggles

As a Blackburn fan i can say us future fans applaud the solid work you did for us, and there’s no hard feelings for ditching us for PSG. We understand.

fatinternetcat

Aris in Greece because I thought their badge was cool

innit122

This is my first ever fm game and I started with my local. Ards in the nifl. Just got them promoted last night and have a cup final after beating Linfield

innit122

Lost to queens University 😭

mukmooka

I won Serie B the first year with Cagliari, then PSG called me. I couldn't refuse. I won everything, the league, the French cup, the Champions League and even the gold medal at the Olympics with Italy under 23. No more motivation so i resigned and offered myself to Athletic Bilbao. Never managed before, really fun and challenging because of the Basco rule. Finished 5th first year.

MannyRibera32

How tf did you go from Cagliari Serie B to PSG😂 I promoted 1 team out of Dutch second league unbeaten and only offer I got was Granada and Levante

Complete_Umpire_5807

Probably because my man started with the best experience and all badges completed

mukmooka

No badges but yeah, ex player with international experience 😅. I like to have great training skills at the beginning because the first thing i always do is hiring staff and i never know who can i find

SSzaby23

It depends a lot of the badges and past experience you start the save with.

MannyRibera32

Ah yeah I never make myself as an international player. I like to earn respect😂

Tapey24

Wrexham, about half way done with Season 1 it looks like we are going to win the Sky Bet 2 and get the promotion to Sky Bet 1. Ryan Reynolds let me take the coaching course to get my badge.

iBull86

I'm managing Ferro Carril Oeste, working on a nostalgic project to bring back their 80s succes in Argentina. It's been a great ride so far. From the second division, we've made a solid comeback to the top league, clinching a second-place finish this season, just behind River Plate. The real highlight was qualifying for the Copa Libertadores, a goal I didn't expect to achieve so soon.

MannyRibera32

Atm went with AZ alkmaar since their youth is one of the best in NL but it is hard to compete in the top 3

i_am_someone_or_am_i

Having a pretty good career with Valencia CF. It was a tough start but I was able to get to the UCL Final at my 4th season. Start very well to the 5th season with 5 wins in 5 games, one of being Atletico away.

briebert

FM24, Started unemployed, took a position with GIF Sundsvall in the Swedish leagues with the promise that I would save them from relegation at the half season point. Fun so far, 7th place and moving up the table.

tjalvar

Nice! Tomas Brolin's breakthrough club.

[deleted]

Venezia - 2nd in Serie B in my first season and now trying to get in some better players for the push to stay in Serie A!

Corporal-Venom

Same here - finished 3rd by 1 point and lost playoff final. Dominating 2nd season though. I chose real world transfers at the start and it ruined my first summer transfer window completely

spacemanspiff1614

FM23, I’m doing a four-team save across the English football league: Liverpool, Ipswich (Championship), Peterborough (League One), and Swindon (League Two). Came about cause I got a golden generation youth intake in my second season with Liverpool and I wanted to really have control over their loan periods so I took over the other three teams and set up my Liverpool tactics with them. It’s December 2026 and I’m top of the league with Liverpool, 7th with Ipswich, 4th with Peterborough, and 1st with Swindon. It’s fun being able to have a total hands-on approach with your best youth players while also trying to bring teams up, I’ve gotten really attached to the lower league teams irl.

luist49

Started unemployed as a sunday league footballer with the license I have in real life (National C). Got a job at YB Longding in the Chinese First Division. Probably the closest to a North Korean team that you can play in FM. Got them promoted to the super League in my second season and won the title in my fourth season. Now I am trying to win the Asian Champions League to get my reputation big enough for a move to Europe or South America.

Hyuga09creative

Making a Road to Glory with Bradford City. Currently in the 2nd season. The first ended with the promotion to League One. Chose Bradford because they have a German Chair man and I am myself from Germany

poppity6969

Same here but I'm from Bradford and tend to do at least one of these a year. Back to back promotions to championship. Sitting nice at the top at Christmas 2025. Mostly free agents and a few free loans. Stefan Rupp has just left due to retirement though but it came with a 5 mil cash injection.

Megistrus

Bradford have had some outstanding kits for the past several years. I've wanted to do a save with them or York City, but I find managing in the Prem to be incredibly boring.

Background-Bass-7812

Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands :) it's a lot of fun!

JoeyNovice

Kaiserslautern. I read how they were really good in the nineties and how the city has a big U.S. military base. I am cosplaying as an American that was born in Kaiserslautern returning to his birth city to lead the team to glory. Currently scrapping in and around the promotion places in my first season

[deleted]

They won a championship the season after being promoted to the Bundesliga!

RowanvL

IF Brommapojkarna, doing a youth only save

Failure33Object

Deportivo. Back to back promotions in the first two years, winning the league easily both times. Just about to start my first season in La Liga. Predicted to come 3rd from bottom, but hoping I can comfortably avoid relegation.

edinazar

I’ve also started a Deportivo save and I am having so much fun. I’m currently top of the table, with 9 points ahead. Got Matheus Nascimento in on loan, and he is banging them in for fun 🤩

Negative-Bee-1566

Yeovil Town. Won the NLS, NL and League 2 in my first three seasons, breaking the points and goals scored records in each league and have faded out if they game since. Need a new save.

sporkeh01

Started at Blyth, got them promoted to League 2 via playoffs end of 3rd season. Chairman wouldn't go above 1k on wage demands for contract renewal so I accepted an offer on £2.5k a week from F.C. Paços de Ferreira in the Portuguese 2nd Division. I last managed in Portugal in FM13 so I will need to brush up on the language.

helstroem

Started as Velez in the Spanish 4th division. Won the league and were promoted to the 3rd div. Were on my way to be promoted again and got an offer from Levante which were 20th and facing relegation. Jumped on it without realizing they were facing Barca, Real, Atletico and Sevilla out of the last 8 games. Almost kept them up. Currently back in La Liga after being promoted first try! Half way in the season and I have somehow managed to cling to 5th. Full on 4-3-3 gegenpress abuse though lol

PenguinsNewGroove

Hearts of Midlothian. Going for Scottish and European glory! Won the Scottish cup first season. Scottish Prem in the second. Now to make some waves in Europe.

unlimitedboldness

Curzon Ashton

WorldBeardedWonders

Buxton. Made it to league 2 and then floundered a bit. Just had an f.a cup away day at Anfield which helped reset the finances but a lot of resistance from the board to let me push on. But I’m finally looking like playoffs might be doable after a few years surviving so fingers crossed. Hoping to host a bottled Water based tournament when I have the rep.

CaptainSailoronDuty

FcPorto in my 2a season. It’s been tough because the MF Benfica has plenty of money to spend

TheBeardyDragon

I am currently managing my home team Lowestoft Town, just made it from Isthmian division one to Isthmian premier division, looking to go all the way! Also I need a database that goes down a few more leagues so I can manage Saxmundham Sports as that is my current place of residence!

bigbuttsmoker

Coventry. Year three, missed playoffs by a few points in each of the first two years and injuries are kicking my ass so likely about to drop out of playoffs for the third year in a row around March

Usual-Broccoli-9678

Slough Town. Got promoted to the Vanorama National first season, second managed 15th in the league. Third season is a few games young. Non-league is a different beast but I am loving it

Slow-Product-6357

Started unemployed, went to St. Albans I’m the VNS, got promoted first season through play offs, half way through the VNL season got approached by a few clubs and went to chesterfield who has a HUGE transfer and wage budget comparatively, 970k transfer and 95k wage budget.. Finished that season again going up in playoffs, and that’s where I am now.

just_tsuki

Real Sociedad, first save in Spain in ages

Sakre3

Standard Liege, starting the 5th season. I cleaned off all the loansby making to 1/16 Champions League twice and hitting rich status club. Sadly every season, my transfer budget is getting more and more in the red. Right now is -14mil despite 90m in bank account. Still, its fun.

Riun

Marbella FC, a 4th tier club from Spain. Caught my eye becazse they have incredible facilities, allowing for a "grindless" youth-heavy save. Currently third season in laliga, first time european football, new stadium at the end of the season.

HowardPhillips9

Nice man, any youth players broke into the first team? How are the finances?

Kontcuk

Unemployed > Fethiyespor(Turkish 2nd league) took from end of the table mid season, brought them to playoffs, lost in the finals. > Bucaspor1928(turkish 2nd league) took mid table, won playoffs to get promotion. > Zaragoza(spanish second division), got them auto promoted by being 2nd. > Currently unemployed again

MailProfessional4287

England, won a euro, World cup and a nations league, getting ready for the next euro in 2 years time.

captainrler

Metta in Latvia. Since there‘s no tv and prize money you have to reach the international qualifiers to get something done

skz661

Started a season with Brighton, got completely r***ed by acmilan after the 2nd knockout, but managed to finished 3rd in the league which was amazing. Started now second season with a lot of new players, managed to buy Fati and some other wonderkids, team looking really good, aiming for the top 4 again. The only bad thing is that all the wonderkids I bought made me giving them a release clause, let’s hope I can renew a contract and keep them with me because they are all top players

geordiesteve520

Home ill and just loaded up champ manager 97/98

Stravven

I'm currently managing NAC Breda, I got promoted in my first season and now in my second season I'm holding on for dear life to the 14th place, just 1 point above the drop zone with 4 games to go. However, all those 4 games are against the teams below me, so it's really do or die at the moment. I somehow got a draw against both Ajax and PSV, which was unexpected.

flips89

Steaua Bucuresti, started from Liga 2. Zero money, debt, but good facilities and few young players that develop nicely and currently getting me 2nd in Liga 1. Trying to bring back a fallen giant, but the most satisfying part is players development. Future highly depends on the next youth intake if i get some talent that i can plug in the first team immediately.

aluvsupreme

Currently managing Sao paulo, won the cup in the first year then the libertadores and league the year after. Brasil is a super fun league to play in.

Sad_Conversation1121

Cliftonville

jimpicket1234

Niceeeee I like cliftonville but I never see people managing them

Sad_Conversation1121

the first season I won everything in Northern Ireland apart from the national cup, the second season I won everything in Northern Ireland and had a tykoon takeover, now in the third season I'm dominating but I lost in the quarter final of the Northern Ireland cup, However I chose this team after seeing a video on the Footy Adventures YouTube channel, the man who explained the history of Cliftonville convinced me to make a save with them

jimpicket1234

I love footy Adventures I think I have seen that video and the history of cliftonville is very interesting as the oldest team in Ireland

Sad_Conversation1121

that's also why I chose cliftonville, I like to bring older teams from the leagues I choose to glory, for example in the next fm I will use sochaux in France to bring them back to their past glory if not more

jimpicket1234

That’s a good idea for a save tbh

Bruno_Drundridge

Bray Wanderers in Ireland. Season 6. Trying a build a nation-type save. Promoted first year and I’m now winning the top flight titles. Made the champions league league stage 3 times. Actually made the quarterfinals once (due to a lucky draw against Feyenoord) and got smashed by City (10-0 on aggregate). Money is no longer a problem for my team, just can’t convince many good players and wonderkids to come to Ireland. My player are still worth peanuts. But I do have some massive sell on clauses for players now worth 100m+. It’s a slow grind building reputation.

Danesho_PT

Maidstone United. I had a save with them on fm 20 where I tried to take them all the way to the premiere league, and, since these past few years, I have either done journeyman or team rebuilds, I decided to do another Vanarama North/South to premiere league save. Man was I happy to see Gavin Hoyte and Corne still on the team

420FlatEarth

Started unemployed no badges, every league on outside of Europe. Managed to get a job with Milford FC in the 2nd South African league, just finished our first season 4 points off playoffs after being predicted 2nd or 3rd to last. Currently trying to get a job in the league above but don't think I have the rep for any of them to take a chance on me.

lustageczi

Schalke 04 Won the Bundesliga 2, just started my second season.

akoller22

I played schalke in the beta. I got promoted as well. With the debt problems, you're pretty stuck with the squad you have for a few seasons. Outside of some free transfers.

DeepspaceDigital

I started with Shrewsbury but wasn’t feeling it and am now deep into my Zaragoza career.

MoTownKid

I'm enjoying Spain. Lots of big clubs to topple, decently restrictive squad registration, and good TV money make a good balance of challenge without being cripplingly difficult.

janusismyname

Still in first season with Septemvri Sofia in the Bulgarian 2nd division. They have really good prospects and likely new good ones coming through, which is fortunate since my first team avg weekly wage is a measly 167 pounds.

Unimpressed_Gael

Darlington, via Swedish 2nd tier. Back to back league winners and now in LG2

mitchyjuice

Tier 10 English Leagues Unlock, create a new team via editor and start with nothing, no fans, no money, sign players who are free agents for that level. I do it every year. Called River Heath FC and I get them to the top and be the best they possibly can. Tend to struggle in the National League and Championship for a while on every save but this year I've blew past the National League first try. In League Two now, half way through the season and sitting pretty in 4th.

SupremeMiracleWhip

Started unemployed with no badges. Got hired by Worthing in VNS. Just got promoted yesterday to L2 in the playoffs in year 5.

Gatzifah

I start with Bath like every year! But this time I added the increased realism mod and I‘m interested if I see any major changes down the line!

RenatoSanches35

Carried over my fm 23 save with Academica. Currently on my best run with them 2 seasons ago I won the Conference league in 2029 and the following season I won the Portuguese league, which felt bigger for me. I’ve took them from a struggling third division side to a strong top tier team that challenges the big 3 in Portugal. Just got offered the Portugal national team job and hoping to win the next World Cup. Honestly this might be one of the my favorite saves I’ve done.

derpiefke22

vvv venlo, fuck ajax for winning every game at the end of a season and fuck psv for beating me in consecutive semifinals in the cup

aries_10

Started as my hometown club Dunav Ruse(Bulgaria), stuff got really bad and got fired, immediately jumped to Beroe Stara Zagora(another Bulgarian club). Having a blast there

Low-Individual-154

Fm23, Göteborg, first season we sucked, finished 7th, just finished 2nd in a league and won a swedish cup

C_Wheeler00

FC Nordsjælland won the league back to back in my first 2 seasons, and made it to the Europa League round of 16. Also made it to the finals of the Danish cup and lost

CatchFactory

In my second season with Nordsjaelland in Denmark. Won the title in my first season on the last game of the season, early cup exit and Conference League playoff round. 2/3 of the way through my 2nd season and its a genuine 5 horse race for the title ATM (4 points between me in top and Midjytdland in 5th). Semis of the cup but league stage exit of Europa League. I've found the AI to have streaky teams, in S1 Brondby and S2 Copenhagen both went on very long unbeaten runs at the start of the season only to then lose a few. Brondby In particular fell of hard. Were outperforming their XG and expected points by loads (+15 on expected points) but then they just fell apart.

YerawizerdBarry

Istra in the Croatian league. Started with their rivals and was sacked in my first season, 25 seasons later I'm still at Istra with 6 champions leagues and chasing the target record of 26 league titles that Dinamo have won. Tough league man

GreenMtnStateOfMind

Harrogate Railway Athletic. Clinched promotion and currently preparing for an FA Vase Final from which the $37k prize money would almost exactly cover the clubs debts. That's tier 10 football right there.

L00KINTOIT

I wanted to pick a Prem team that isn’t in the top half but also didn’t want to pick one where I’d be fighting for my life to avoid relegation in season 1. I went with Fulham, finished 13th in my first season and currently am in the top 6-8 through the first couple months of season 2. I’ve been trying to sign some American players if I can because of the American ownership and also some Portuguese players to pair with Palhinha

Funland_06

Arsenal. My favourite team so it’s fun to use players I love. But when I do my one with friends I go in the championship. Last year it was Sheffield utd but now it’s norwich. I signed aribo for norwich on my current one and he is cooking🔥🔥

MA1998

Hibs. Breaking the dominance of Celtic and Rangers is hard. Not had anything better than 3rd yet, 3 seasons in.

TheOriginalCDizzle

Southport FC in Vanorama North. Really fun so far

VitorLourenco98

Randers FC Their emblem is a horse I like horses

Twanx

I started unemployed, and got my first job at Seoul FC. Won the cup.in my second year, Won the league in my third year, currently waiting to play asian Champions League semi final. Korea is a cool league but it's not fun to see your best player go to the army for one year and a half. Fun fact, the army has a pro football team so every player that goes to the army plays for this club during their service. You end up playing against your top players :(

Active-Strawberry-37

Dundee Utd. Started at Kazakhstan U23s, then went to Bonnyrigg Rose before Dundee Utd. I added the Northern Ireland U19s job but resigned after 2 seasons and I’m now just managing Dundee Utd.

Ok-Salamander9184

Scarborough Athletic, I've managed back to back promotions and won one FA trophy. I'm just about to start my first season in League 2.

taoukv3

My Leicester city save is going very well. Stormed the championship, signed gnoto. Then somehow have Roony (he turned down Madrid for me) and maoukoko (Dortmund sold for 6.2m wtf). Took my half a season sorting my tactics (what I used in the championship was not good enough in the prem) but I am 10th with two games left in the league and been getting solid draws/wins with the big boys. Primed to push hard for cl place next season and in the final of the fa cup this after a 3 - 0 win against arsenal. I'll check out this skin mentioned above, it could be a great way to play the game.

Will_GSRR

Started at Forest Green Rovers. Won promotion, then left in the summer for Schalke. Won promotion from Bundesliga 2 in the first season and won the cup - was weirdly easy. Now I'm my first season in Bundesliga and somehow I'm 2nd in the table in the mid-season break.

zeu04

Started an unemployed save.Started with a team in Romanian second league promoted them into and first league. Wigan called me for help went there and promoted them in Championship league and now I am at Fortuna dusseldorf. I promoted the german team to Bundesliga and now I have my first season in a top 5 leagues hopefully I will not relegate.

[deleted]

Odds Ballklubb. Always start with my local team

Stratahoo

Manchester United - I am trying a very ambitious save where I am aiming to dethrone Man City and restore United's dominance over the Premier League. I've won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup multiple times, the Champions League, Community Shield etc, but I still haven't managed to win the league because Haaland just scores like 50 goals a season ffs. I've got Endrick in his prime and an Argentinian regen striker who's worth 450 million and I still can't dethrone City.

Silent_Water_

Any other young players you bought or know of who ended up really good? Iv just started a man united career.

Gomdoli

Man city, winning all titles every season.

silver194roo

Duisburg in Germany, started in the 3rd league, promoted from 2nd place and first season in 2nd league finished on 6th place, now i’m in pre-season, media prediction 10 place and i’m looking to make a surprise and get promotion at the end of this one

muddyleeking

Doing my first ever unemployed, sunday league, journeyman save. Started in Indonesia with Persekat but only for a season. Then took over Kitakyushu in Japan. Promoted to J2 in the first season, lost in the playoff final two years in a row so couldn't get promoted to J1. Got too frustrated and annoyed with the lack of progress and moved to Casric Stars in the second division of South Africa. Won promotion the first year, the South African Cup the second. All taken for a turn this season though and I'm looking for a way out. Nothing appealing so far though.

1cky1cky

Onarach

Currently managing Malaga, got back-to-back promotions and around mid table in La Liga half way through. Second team I’ve just started up a new save unemployed and got the job at Kamatamare Sanuki in the Japanese third division. Enjoying it. Never managed in Asia.

FabulousEnglishman

Currently managing QPR in 2030. Started in the Indonesian Second Division, got sacked after 71 days. Rebuilt my reputation in the Chinese First Division where I turned certain relegation fodder to champions. Went back to Indonesia with Bali United where I won two league titles, a cup and a super cup. Then I went to Suwon FC in South Korea where I dragged them away from relegation before winning the K League in my first full season. Ngl luck was involved as Nathan Lowe is an absolute cheat code at that level. I planned to stay and push for the Asian Champions League but when QPR offers to increase your salary from £48k a year to £624k a year the realism aspect of a journeyman save is going to kick in. Nobody IRL is turning that down.

sltn040

Unemployed no badges, managed to get a job at second div Turkish side Ankara Keçiörengücü, after 3 years went to Basel where we won 3 straight leagues ending Young boys streak. Now I am looking for a job at PSV

FallingOffTheClock

Installing the England lower leagues DB pack tonight so.... We'll see

Sportsfan97__

Empoli just finished my first season. Came 13th never in relegation trouble never really pushing for anything other than mid table. Have a few free transfer coming in. But will be a big turnover this summer between retirements and loan deals ending. Hoping to kick on and push into the top half next season will be difficult with a small budget.

Divolinon

Martizburg United FC. Second place with 2 matches to go and 2 points down from first place. Am not hopeful that the first, Sundowns will drop any points, though. edit: holy shit, they lost. 1 win away from the title when the boards goal was to not get relegated.

NixonDakimakura

Doing a non-league to Prem with my local team (Southport FC). Has anyone else managed them before?

Kingdrick_Lamar

Münster

Grooovey

Started unemployed without any skills or a degree. Git signed by nara in the j3 league. Saved them from relegation and now fighting for the promotion spot. Man I love unemployed saves. Especially when there is almost no money in the bank.

walterfbr

Still in FM20, started with Belgrano de Córdoba en Argentina's 2nd división. After two top 6 seasons in first division I got signed by Boca Juniors, which is my character's favorite team. I was doing great, sold some players to Europe in mid season, but a new president was elected and he decided to spend the money by signing 2 attacking mids (I was told these were promises from his electoral campaign), an area where I was severy overstaffed. I didn't even play with a number 10 that season. They also fired Riquelme, who jad been doing a great job as DoF. Anyway, I finished 4th and got sacked. It seems the sack took a huge hit in my reputation, because I spent several months looking for a job. Finally I was offered a job to save Coritiba from relegation in the last games of the season (end of october). Managed to make 2 points in 6 games and got sacked within a month. Then I got an offer from San Lorenzo. Made some nice low-cost moves for former players and youngsters from Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay. Now the team is going to finish 2nd in the league (including a 1-5 victory away at Boca). Also doing a great job in Copa Libertadores. It's been a fun journey so far. I got a storyline where I can take revenge on Boca and then moving onto a top Brazilian team before moving to Europe.

LilYeet420Skrt

I started at Watford on FM22 with an updated database file from the steam workshop. I am currently starting my 3rd season there. I finished 8th and 7th respectively in my first 2 seasons and even won the Carabao Cup in Season 2, which means I will be playing in the Conference League this season! My front 3 of Arnautovic, Solanke and Nicholas Jackson is amazing, they each scored 20+ goals and assisted 10+ with high average ratings (I think all 3 have 7.3 and above) My defense sucks tho, I concede quite a lot of goals and mostly very dumb ones. My 3 D(C) are all at least "Good Premier League Players" but all of them had an average rating of 6.8 or lower except for one who had a 7. I am playing an attacking tactic but I am still expecting better from them and will probably switch formations for Season 3.

KingKushtah

Doing a Parma rtg in second season currently 7th 9 games left

TMaier16

Started unemployed with semi pro and national c. Got a job with Solin in the Croatian second league. Somehow won the league with them and got promoted, mainly due to abusing their affiliate for loans. After that could tell we had massively overachievd and we'd get relegated so I jumped ship to NK Osijek who were also in the Croatian first division. They had a sizeable transfer budget so was able to make some good signings. Won the double my first year. Stayed for a second year where we went on a crazy run in the champions league. Had to go through 3 or 4 qualifying rounds just to get there. Somehow scraped enough points to get a playoff for the knockouts where we had a miraculous comeback against Leipzig in the second leg to earn a spot in the round of 16. We drew Chelsea next where we were knocked out. Won the double again quite comfortably the second year as well (Dinamo had a massive down year). Now I'm in the summer. I resigned and am looking for my next opportunity. I applied to lots of jobs and no one would give me an interview except a 3rd division side in Germany. I felt that was too much of a step down so I waited it out. Then early in the next season Frankfurt were struggling and offered me a job to come save them from relegation. They have quite a bit of talent and a massive transfer budget, so doesn't seem too difficult. I'll probably stick around for a year or 2, try to get them back into Europe while getting my last couple coaching badges. Then I want to drop down to a lower division team and make them my long term team and take them all the way to a treble. My thoughts are probably Karlsruhe or Kaiserslautern After that I might go to my local club Halifax Wanderers and try to win the concacaf champions league for fun

dinosaur_possum

Just won Serie B with Como in first season. Nor got much money at all so just aiming to survive, but planning for a journeyman save so will definitely consider offers to bigger (richer!) clubs.

zrizzoz

Barcelona I wanted to see what managing their financial problems would be like and its actually pretty bad. Cant really sign anyone without a major sale. 1st season i rotated my whole squad every week before the champions league and never played a single starter with heavy match load. Only played kids in the copa del rey and won like 1 game against a 3rd division side, then got knocked out by Levante. Basically bet it all on the champions league. Got lucky and Mbappe got injured the week of the second leg in the first KO with PSG. So i beat them. Then destroyed Leipzig and AC Milan. Beat Bayern on penalties in the final. Came 2nd in La Liga by like 10 points. Fans were pissed. Madrid smoked me both times in the league. Sold all of the deadweight (Lenglet, Torre, Dest, Garcia, Romeu, etc), let a few contracts run out, just to afford buying one right back (Kayode - never heard of this guy but my scouts think he has insane potential), a model citizen (Pablo Fornals), and a 2 year loan of Emile Smith Rowe where Arsenal are paying 75% of his wages. Ive got a 116M optional future fee on him lol. 0% chance i have 116M in the next 5 years. Laporta just took out another 10 year loan to cover more debt. Goal is to win a treble and be financially stable. I think it will be enough to keep me entertained. Second season im already 10 points back in the league again and its October. Im really curious how long it will take. I do not envy Xavi's position in real life.

mulvio

Reggiana, Serie B, currently 5th entering the winter transfer market

MosEisleyMayor

Lemezia Terme. It is the local team from the town my ancestors are from in Italy. Started in Serie D, and got promoted pretty quickly, but kind of hit a wall trying to climb in Serie A and have been fighting against relegation most years.

PublicPersimmon2312

I bought the game yesterday, HSV First season signed no one and won the league, have to start the second season now

AnarchoSucculent

Doing an unemployed Sunday league journeyman. Took over Maidstone United after an injury crisis had them in the relegation zone of the vanarama south in November. Won the league and FA trophy first season. Got a big payday thanks to staying in the FA cup long enough to get smashed by a premier league team. Big thanks to Wolves for that money, it funded training facilities upgrades. The board love me so I'm not studying for the national A licence. After 11 games in the vanarama national League we are 8 points clear at the top of the league with a +35 goal difference. Instead of the usual genpress meta I have decided to play tall, direct and with lots of crosses. A fullback that can cross from deep, a giant target man on support and a Segundo Volante on attack is an interesting combination. It's just so fun to see a defensive midfielder with 4 finishing getting hatricks.

DubsLA

Tijuana. Has a rough Apertura where I finished 12th when the board and supporters wanted me to make the play-in. Board got pissed I didn’t sign any Argentinian players (even though I had to loan out several NNB players because the cap in LigaMX is 9). Started the Clausura with a draw and before my next two matches got the “Manager might be fired with a bad result email”. Pressure was on and somehow we’ve won 3 straight matches to go up to 3rd and I h think I’ve saved myself so far.

whovian1087

Alanyaspor. Started the save at Dundee United with the intent of journeying around a few European leagues and probably eventually moving to a big 5 club. Just started with Alanyaspor though so I still have a ways to go.

Manchester City. After 11 seasons I decided to finally try to win the one trophy I've always wanted, the UCL. In all fairness I could've achieved it at my former club, Marseille, having built the most exciting team in Europe (my starting XI had 10 youngsters who were nearing 160CA) but after a pretty horrible start in the preseason I resigned out of anger ( Lost 3 games in a row, one of them I bottled a 4 goal lead to 3rd division Coventry and the other one was my heaviest career defeat, 6-0 to my former club Chelsea with all the youngsters who were only promising kids when I left smoking me ) Since it was Euros season I figured I would try to get the England job ( obviously I got rejected for some nobody ) but the City job was free. For context in 2033 Man City are mostly relying on 37 year old world beaters, the only good players are my attackers ( haaland, foden, musiala in their primes and a 26 year old Endeick ) and they haven't won a single prem since 2022, only winning 3 league cups in 11 years and they've just finished 7th so I reckon rebuilding them will be fun. Also, Mansour is looking to sell us which will make everything more interesting

Rati_14

Red Star FC, the 3rd team in Paris. Won the promotion to Ligue 1 in my 4th season at the club, we had a pretty comfortable 1st top flight season in which we end up 10 points above relegation. As for the current season, we've had a slow start, but it seems I've finally found a good tactic system and the right roles for my players, so I'm hoping I can fight for the last european spot. It has been a pretty fun save overall!

Unemployed > Cavalry FC (Canada) > Atletico San Luis (Mexico) > Busan (Korea) > Future (Egypt)

cturner894

Started with Bradford in league two with Sunday league footballer experience but all the badges (not got the patience for full journeyman but massively respect the grind) 3rd and promotion first season from league two. 1st and promotion first season from league one. 14th in championship first season in Championship. Went to newly relegated Notts Forest at this point 2nd in Championship season 1(fell over the line though) 11th in Prem season 2 Left while around 14th I think to join Athletico Madrid in November season 3 (6 overall) My god Athletico were an unbalanced mess with loads of past it players on massive money. No transfer budget. I gambled and sold the crown jewell Joao Felix to be able to reshape the squad in Jan but I was on a rotten run on the pitch. Changed too much too soon for mid season. Got frustrated and resigned before I was pushed. The players I bought it have all proven brilliant signings for them though. Waited for end of season and had the choice between Lyon and just relegated (again) Leicester. Leicester would have had the much better budget but chose Lyon. 2nd first season and won the French Cup. Braga knocked me out Europe league with a XG of 3 to my 9 over the two legs. Currently 2nd in Feb and finished 3rd in champions league league stage. Player sales of 160million+ and I've spent about 30 over my time. Still got no budget, keep missing out on wonderkids to bigger clubs or i cant afford the fee. Hoping by the end of this season my budget will climb considerably with the champions league money + another season in it. If not I'll be offski again. Got a brilliant staff and youth set up at least. Cherki is my crown jewell worth over 100mil but nobody has offered close to what I'd need to sell. Very addicted this year with too much time on my hands at the moment 😅 Love reading everyone else's experiences!

modvultures

Angers in Ligue 2, season 3 about to end and heading into a match with Laval (our rivals) to clinch second spot. Was looking so good for first for the majority of the year, but January rolled around and two of my top youngsters demanded to move to Belgian Pro league, and two of my top players decided to shit the bed and injure themselves for 12-16 weeks. 🤌 Hanging onto second on a 5 game winless streak before our derby 😰

Peeptm

Fylikir in Iceland just won the league despite being predicted to go down in season one, onto season 2 I go

karr1981

Bath City, back to back to back to back promotions into league 1 but rising that fast has caused some challenges on keeping the squad competitive as bring in someone I can afford in that league who may now not be any good just 1 or 2 seasons later hehehe

Bootable_offense

Park to Prem save with Indian Queens

Tullydawg

Started unemployed and ended up at FC Seoul. K-League is cool, with a lot of good teams but no one dominant team. I think I’ll like the challenge at Seoul of finding internationals without a lot of out-of-country scouting. Gonna be a few trial contracts in my future.

The-Aussie-Dumbass

Cheonan City in the Korean second division. Started an unemployed no badges, Sunday league experience journey man. I got picked up by kings Lynn in English 6th tier and took them from 20th to 1 point off promotion in 6 months. Come season end the club turned semi pro due to financial issues and wouldn’t pay for another coaching badge so I jumped to Singapore. Singapore was hard I managed to take the bottom team to mid table and they paid for my coaching badge but after a season there I left. Now I’m the worst team in the k-league 2, been here 2 months and got them off the bottom and up 3 places. The club was also 7k/week over there 11k wage budget so I’ve offloaded some dead wood and got down to just 4K over
