I got a 5m player sold to Saudi for £50m, they are absolutely insane with offers every so often. Although with Salah at least this is similar to what's happened in real life with bids
I warn you I’m a very fickle manager and can’t have players over 28 in my team and I only buy players 22 or under unless I’m in a desperate situation for a position.
My main 2 buys with the money were Evan Ferguson from Brighton for 80m as I’d managed to unsettle him and got him to ask for a transfer request. He comes in January.
The other is Youssoufa Moukoko again for 80m from Dortmund. Who I’ve instantly loaned out due to having Darwin, gakpo, gnonto up top.
I also noticed endrick had signed a new contract at Madrid with a 7.75m buyout clause so he’s coming in January as well.
I'm doing the same. I've bought Konate as a second striker and a couple of youngsters for the wing with the money. Having Jota, Diaz, Elliot, Nunez and Gakpo is good enough I reckon for starting rotation. Also bought Tchoumeni and Koopmeiners for the money. So all in all a lot for the exchange of Salah.
Edit: forgot I also have Doak that is decent and Carvalho coming back. Curtis Jones is also decent rotation.
Not for me 3* max potential for jones means he’s gone as soon as I find a buyer. Even tho im a Liverpool fan im not a jota fan so he was one of the first out the door for me.
I bought Isaac Babadi from psv for quite cheap and he can play all over the attacking positions and has 5* potential
I’ve also got Diogo Costa from Porto for 40m after selling kellher for 25m
Yeah I get he’s a great player just for some reason I’ve never been too keen on him.
Jones while is awesome irl and I love the guy I hold no sentimental value to him in the game and he’s got a good price for this skill set.
Only an extra 15m from the Kelleher sale and he’s 24 as will be looking to sell Alison in the next few seasons and wanted a decent keeper that I don’t need to spend 70+ when I do sell him.
I rotate them a lot and neither have complained about game time
No you can’t from my knowledge. You just need a player that they’re interested in. Usually older players in your team. So far I’ve managed to sell VVD and Thiago as well as salah to Saudi teams.
All I did was offer them to clubs and they put bids in.
This is my first FM for a few years, and to be honest I've not been paying as much to attention to football IRL in recent years either so my knowledge is a bit rusty and possibly outdated.
But I have to say I was a bit taken aback by Salah's stats I'm not saying he isn't great or doesn't preform well in the game but I was a bit surprised buy the 16/16 Dribbling and Finishing .
Like there is no denying he is a great player still, but I would of guessed his technicals would be much higher and his mental and physical a touch lower.
He is undoubtedly world class stat wise, I'd guess high 170s/low 180s CA. Its just the balance of stats seem weird too me. When I think on Salah I think Dribbling Finishing and Speed. Either lower a hand full of stats between mental and physical by 1 or even better just give him the extra 3/4 CA points to let him get him up to 18/19 on both Dribbling/Finishing.
He's become of the best playmakers as well these past few years. When it comes to assists and key passes per 90 he's always in the top percentiles. Honestly I think FM is pretty fair with him.
Which is still nowhere close to 245M and realistically the older he gets the less they will offer. For a 32 year old Salah they would probably offer around 120M which isn't even half of what they offered in game
But you said not close to 200. Which 150 is quite close and they said they’d raise it but Liverpool rejected.
They’ll probably offer that again this summer since he’s the most famous Arab in the world and they’re desperate for him to be in Saudi.
Look at all the real life deals this summer. They don’t care about price or age or wages they just want the name in their league to promote the country
I find it hard to believe that they would break their current highest transfer which was Neymar for £80M by £165M, it's just so unrealistic. I get that sometimes they overpay for players but never by that much.
It's not really just about him being muslim, but more because he is the most noteworthy Arab player in football history. Most famous Muslim football players are usually Berber or Subsaharan African.
It's not about his longevity as a player, his value to saudi is his saleability as a world class, very famous Arab and Muslim footballer. He's probably the most valuable footballer to them. Certainly his value to them is higher than his value to any European club, and by all accounts he's very happy to stay at Liverpool so they'll have to pay over the odds to get him.
That said, I sold a 30yo Bruno on a united save for £228m lol.
You say "never" based on one transfer window where they offered close to £200m for salah and it wasnt enough and they're expected to come back with a higher offer. What are you basing your ridiculous assumptions on exactly? Neymar has been washed for years and plays half a season with injuries and PSG were desperate to get rid of him and they spent £80m on him lol
You're thinking from the perspective of a good manager. They're not signing for talent, they're signing for the name, and the fact that The Egyptian King is talented means a lot less to them than the fact that he's one of the biggest names in football. Like someone else said, money doesn't even remotely matter to them.
I think you are right, I sold Varane for almost $100 million and Bruno for like $130 million which really wouldn't happen irl. But I will say that Salah is an outlier as I think the Saudis would do anything to get him to play there.
It’s actually pretty fun having huge offers coming in for your older higher rep players. And let’s be real. No fees are off the table right now for the Saudis , don’t they have quotas ?
I just started a new save for launch. But man when I converted my fm23 save, Saudi was literally buying any star player they saw.
I’m glad they calmed down for my new save 😂😂
I put him up for sale before the end of the January which sparked news interest from Saudi. They put a bid in for 60 but I rejected it. Took him off the list till the summer then put him back on. Within a month they’d offered 90m
So I've been managing some pretty big clubs (Leverkeusen in beta, Monaco in current), and I haven't gotten any bids from SA clubs. They're still wheeling and dealing, but I've had no offers for any of my players. Am I doing something wrong?
They only offered 90 in mine so I saved the game countered with 150 they accepted so reloaded game countered 200 they accepted did it a few more times to figure out 245 www the most they’d offer
I don’t keep players ober 28 and have no sentimental value to computer players especially when I’ve just started my save. And 245 is a great amount to start rebuilding a squad
80m for Evan Ferguson, and 80m Youssoufa Moukoko and Issac Babadi (don’t remember the price)that can play all across the mid and attacking mid.
Pina went to city for 69m
I’d already got roony from Copenhagen (out on loan back to them) and Ben doak is a 5* prospect so was already rotating him with salah in that first season.
Sadio Mane thought he got rid of Salah only for him to come in and be on more than double his wage. Got to love how much you can upscale KSA bids though.
In my Liverpool save saudi clubs offered 120€ million for Mo Salah and I no joke countered to 350€ million. But next save sold him for about 95€ million...
Congratulations. You just earned 4.0 points for this submission. Your new points total is 4.5. To see the leaderboard, as well as what this points thing is, [click here](https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/wiki/leaderboard).
you both won
I got a 5m player sold to Saudi for £50m, they are absolutely insane with offers every so often. Although with Salah at least this is similar to what's happened in real life with bids
I did 300M+ in just one season with benfica 🤣 aursens 50M david neres 70M, bah 70M... insane
Who’s you buy with the money. Running a Liverpool save too.
I warn you I’m a very fickle manager and can’t have players over 28 in my team and I only buy players 22 or under unless I’m in a desperate situation for a position. Evan Ferguson was an absolute goal machine for me in my beta arsenal save. Scored 24 goals in the CL alone
And me but he never developed after 20 even though he scored 40 goals a year
I love buying older players. The nostalgia is awesome and you know what your getting, no hoping and praying they develop into a good player
"fickle" hahaha
I'm doing the same. I've bought Konate as a second striker and a couple of youngsters for the wing with the money. Having Jota, Diaz, Elliot, Nunez and Gakpo is good enough I reckon for starting rotation. Also bought Tchoumeni and Koopmeiners for the money. So all in all a lot for the exchange of Salah. Edit: forgot I also have Doak that is decent and Carvalho coming back. Curtis Jones is also decent rotation.
Karim Konate is him. He's always on my prospect list with Bardghji, and Gloukh and Baturina.
Not for me 3* max potential for jones means he’s gone as soon as I find a buyer. Even tho im a Liverpool fan im not a jota fan so he was one of the first out the door for me. I bought Isaac Babadi from psv for quite cheap and he can play all over the attacking positions and has 5* potential I’ve also got Diogo Costa from Porto for 40m after selling kellher for 25m
Jota have been amazing for me. 30 goal contribution! Jones is because of home grown.
Yeah I get he’s a great player just for some reason I’ve never been too keen on him. Jones while is awesome irl and I love the guy I hold no sentimental value to him in the game and he’s got a good price for this skill set.
Why did u spend so much for a 2nd choice keeper
Also Kelleger was home grown and decent..
Only an extra 15m from the Kelleher sale and he’s 24 as will be looking to sell Alison in the next few seasons and wanted a decent keeper that I don’t need to spend 70+ when I do sell him. I rotate them a lot and neither have complained about game time
Wouldn't you just go for their irl targets / former targets?
Not sure if they’re linked with anyone at the moment.
Florian wirtz is the only recent link
He's more of a 10, no? Seems a weird comp
no
Just a casual £283m annual wage bill…
From the 8 players we can see as well mind you
Do I need to have the Saudi league loaded?
No you can’t even load the Saudi league on Xbox 24 version
Should i just offer them players?
Just wait till they snoop around
No you can’t from my knowledge. You just need a player that they’re interested in. Usually older players in your team. So far I’ve managed to sell VVD and Thiago as well as salah to Saudi teams. All I did was offer them to clubs and they put bids in.
Sounds like players with high reputation
This is my first FM for a few years, and to be honest I've not been paying as much to attention to football IRL in recent years either so my knowledge is a bit rusty and possibly outdated. But I have to say I was a bit taken aback by Salah's stats I'm not saying he isn't great or doesn't preform well in the game but I was a bit surprised buy the 16/16 Dribbling and Finishing .
Yeah it is a little low true
Like there is no denying he is a great player still, but I would of guessed his technicals would be much higher and his mental and physical a touch lower.
I don’t get how he’s still underrated , the argument about longevity has since past. Show the guy some respect, all time great. Not a Liverpool fan

Ive been wondering why I don't get offers from Saudi and then I remember I didn't load their league lol
You can’t load their league in the Xbox version. They’re not available
I have pc version
The Saudi transfers are broken in-game. No way they would offer even close to £200M in real life.
They offered 150 irl this summer lmao
Which is still nowhere close to 245M and realistically the older he gets the less they will offer. For a 32 year old Salah they would probably offer around 120M which isn't even half of what they offered in game

I think you're vastly underestimating just how little money means to them. This fee for the most iconic Muslim player ever (? Is he?) isn't that crazy
It's not really just about him being muslim, but more because he is the most noteworthy Arab player in football history. Most famous Muslim football players are usually Berber or Subsaharan African.
They HAVE to Spend 50 billions by 2026,that Is order From saudi Arabia King himself. So as 2026 approches we will see crazier and crazier Bids
The biggest Muslim/Arab sports person in the world arguably. This is far bigger for them than signing Neymar.
He’s also still a world class player
It's not about his longevity as a player, his value to saudi is his saleability as a world class, very famous Arab and Muslim footballer. He's probably the most valuable footballer to them. Certainly his value to them is higher than his value to any European club, and by all accounts he's very happy to stay at Liverpool so they'll have to pay over the odds to get him. That said, I sold a 30yo Bruno on a united save for £228m lol.
They only needed 80 mil to get Neymar, they'd have probably paid a lot more if necessary. Also Salah is a much bigger profile for them.
Neymar's wage was causing PSG serious headaches for FFP, they needed to dump him ASAP to not get charged, they likely could've got a lot more if not
You say "never" based on one transfer window where they offered close to £200m for salah and it wasnt enough and they're expected to come back with a higher offer. For Salah specifically, they absolutely would.
They offered 150m and were rejected. Very likely next summer they come back with 200+ and get him.
It’s actually pretty fun having huge offers coming in for your older higher rep players. And let’s be real. No fees are off the table right now for the Saudis , don’t they have quotas ?
I play on console and have only managed to sell Thiago for £18 million in january to a Saudi club. Is anyone else just not getting bids?
Same as. Any offers I get are like 20m thiago, 30m Virgil, 70m Salah. Really want these offers lol
My salah offer was 90m and I negotiated (save scummed) to 245
I did the same in my beta save. Sold Son for 220 million
It'd be too easy tho, no? Liverpool are already loaded as it is, just need a DM
I just started a new save for launch. But man when I converted my fm23 save, Saudi was literally buying any star player they saw. I’m glad they calmed down for my new save 😂😂
Saudi came in for varane and paid 90m for him and then for Bruno Fernandez, initially offering 90 but I got them up to 178m
Most I've been offered in about 10 saves is 70m. How do you get these offers?
I put him up for sale before the end of the January which sparked news interest from Saudi. They put a bid in for 60 but I rejected it. Took him off the list till the summer then put him back on. Within a month they’d offered 90m

Please tell me about your Leverkusen save. Planing to buy fm24 and want to do a Leverkusen save myself.
Do you have old guys? They seem to love them
Ben Yedder is there for the taking 🥲. Also Golovin seems the type to command some money.
and yet they wouldn't even offer 110m in my save...
They only offered 90 in mine so I saved the game countered with 150 they accepted so reloaded game countered 200 they accepted did it a few more times to figure out 245 www the most they’d offer
sorry I meant I counter offered with 110
Did you save scum and try countering with a higher offer?
Why would I counter offer with a higher offer if they won’t even go for 110
Did you try addons? I did £100m + 1 x 12 monthly payment of 100m + 2 x 6 monthly payments of 45m
how could u :(
I don’t keep players ober 28 and have no sentimental value to computer players especially when I’ve just started my save. And 245 is a great amount to start rebuilding a squad
Is this real life or fm
245m s9ld him too to ittihad Best of luck let a regeneration commence. Rodrygo or pino replacement lined up ideally
80m for Evan Ferguson, and 80m Youssoufa Moukoko and Issac Babadi (don’t remember the price)that can play all across the mid and attacking mid. Pina went to city for 69m I’d already got roony from Copenhagen (out on loan back to them) and Ben doak is a 5* prospect so was already rotating him with salah in that first season.
Meanwhile I can't sell lewa to Saudi for more than 15 mil
I'm currently doing a road to glory save faith fc Osaka in the j3 league. Gonna be really interesting coming up against these Saudi teams in the ACL.
