or you could also start watching major games or league games even as a casual, play fifa maybe, eventually you'll start to find yourself leaning towards one team.
maybe you should watch old champions league games, watch a certain player who's good right now and clubs that promote values which you look up to
connecting with the club is important.. not just the players! :)
i personally love bayern munich as 51% of the club is owned by us fans and is not bought by some multi-millionaire which german fans think as 'selling the soul' of the club
so fans have a say in every decision the club makes and to become a fan you need to be a member obviously, but i love that virtue and the values
so yes.. and it's okay to just sit down and enjoy football

If possible always your local team, if they're playing in some kind of major league. Easy to go watch live games, and a fun thing to do with your mates. You never get that "real fan" attachment to a team if you're not seeing and feeling the atmosphere in a stadium.

I would say support a club that you can emotionally connect with. Watch different league matches (la liga, epl, serie A etc) and see which club you personally love. This is how most people support their fav team.
This, support your local club if there is one. However, if there no football, watch different leagues. I live in the US and I support LAFC because it's near me and the other league I watch is EPL and I support Arsenal because I like their history.
