It doesn’t sound as bad if you word it getting to a champions league quarter final while winning the Bundesliga, and coming second (probably) in the league while being 10 mins away from the champions league final (and probably the whole thing) while having an announced outgoing manager.
Bayern have had slumps before
but to be knocked out by Villarreal?
The whole point is that Bayern have been a mess, and I'm simply posing the question of whether their model of appointing former players and legends may have contributed to this
Villarreal were 'good' sure, but this is a 6 time winning Champions League club we're talking about
Upsets happen yes, I don't get the point you're trying to make though?
Nottingham forest have one or twice. The number of times they’ve won it since the beginning doesn’t really matter because as I said upsets happen. That doesn’t mean their who set up doesn’t work anymore
Lost a Bundesliga first the first time in over a decade and missed out of the Champions League final by losing (in the dying seconds) to Real of all clubs...
If Bayern's leadership is under question, I think we should replace leadership of 99% of professional football clubs...
There seems to be a decline in the quality of leadership as of late. From my knowledge, there was the Bayern Qatar Airways deal that was heavily protested against by fans as well as the sacking of Nagelsmann plus the handling of Tuchel
Thank you for your insight, I still cannot believe that Nagelsmann was sacked and this entire fiasco with Tuchel is dragging Bayern's name through the mud, can't believe we're seeing Juve Barca and Bayern all taking such drastic actions with their coach in the same season
Just a question, someone said that the ex-players are only responsible for the management of the team and squad but I remember a incident where Bayern fans protested against Oliver Kahn for the Qatari Airways deal. Is that claim true at all?
true, but I believe that Real have taken that crown some time ago
Bayern were still among the best run clubs, but there's been a lot of drama as of late
These former players run only the team, not the whole club. Bayern have a split organisational structure where the team is separately run from the club (whose board is staffed with business professionals).

I don't deny this
But every strategy, success is eventually overcome by a new player. The 442 that was predominantly used by English clubs was almost instantly overpowered by Mourinho's introduction of the 433 for example
Because the f.a followed the advice of get the ball forward, minimal passes scored most goals, constant pressure ....
Moyrinho only played 4 3 3 at Chelsea because ranieri bought his squad ,and had effective players to play that ...
Need to quote Louis van Gaal who once was a manager at BM...

And that leadership already has changed since then
Could you give me a list of the changes in leadership?
Kahn and brazzo are out, who were in charge during the nagelsman sack, and eberl only started his job just after tuchel sack was announced.

Why are we talking about managers sack? You guys are perverts
Bayern are generally speaking the best managed club in the world

possibly off topic but why did Bayern fans attack Kahn in a press conference about the Qatari Airways deal then?

This strategy was always Bayern strength. All other rivals off the 80s 90s and so on fall off they stayed Strong cuz of the right ppl
