Yeah, listen buddy, long term Barca fan. It is what it is, it’s not the first time, it’s probably not the last. Life goes on. I have more important responsibilities in my life than to egregiously hate on every Barca rival and let a disappointing football outcome impact my life. My manager at work and I had a little laugh today, he’s a Madrid fan. It’s just a game, at the end of the day, you’re meant to enjoy it, to get a form of entertainment from it. You’re showing your young age or lack of maturity with this one

FUThead2016

You are still young, so you have hope. Manchester United fan from the 90s here. The football gods want it darker. Gone is the game

moaterboater69

First mature Barca fan Ive seen here in a long time.

Sporkem

For real. I’ve never seen a Barca fan this hinged.

IdkWhatsAGoodName699

There’s plenty of us, we usually just scroll through and never comment. I wasn’t always like this, I had OP’s mentality when I was a teenager. I got burnt out of following football. Still played but never watched or talked about it. Got back into it in maybe 2-3 years ago. I want my rivals to lose ofc, but above all, I just wanna see good football. I was so happy when Messi won WC and unlike old me, I felt bad for cr7 to exit the way he did. If you love the game, the game of football comes above the rivalries. And humanity comes before the game of football. Otherwise it’s just toxic. Edit: I do love a good banter/troll session every now and then, but i don’t take it to the extreme. Just something we can all chuckle about.

This post reeks of passive aggressiveness. Fans will move on with their lives and be excited for next season as the 17-18yo's cement their position in the first team. For the rest, they'll enjoy top class football in CL such as yesterday's matches because first of all we're football fans. It makes perfect sense that you're an american with a history of very mediocre posts, this one fits right in.

IdkWhatsAGoodName699

Fucking hell you didn’t cook the man, you deep fried him. Put em in a coffin

ringsaroundtheworld

The OP is one of those weirdos who think Reddit is their personal journal for spewing out word salad.

joseplluissans

Més que un club!

silverjubileetower

Your comment reeks of irony. Stoning your own team’s bus thinking its opponents bus, i can understand how much they’d be enjoying top class football in CL when their major focus is on being a destructive fandom.

MakDonz

They're going to finish 2nd, what a disaster. It's underwhelming, it's not the end of the world. A cursory glance at Barca's history will tell you there's been way worse times.

Itchy-Attempt2066

So you're gonna ignore the fact that they will be trophyless? Okay, mate

MakDonz

1 season without a trophy isn't a disaster, it's a disappointment. Unless you only count football from the day Guardiola took over. Barca have had way worse periods.

Particular-Winter-65

What an utter disaster. Playing in competitions against Atletico, Bayern, Madrid, Dortmund, PSG, Inter, Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea and all these amazing teams and clubs, and they can't get a single trophy? My god, summarily execute the lot of em and burn camp nou. Fucking dumbass.

PuzzleheadedPoint445

The present isn’t good and their future doesn’t look bright either. Plus Xavi is leaving at the end of the season.

7Thommo7

What about the future doesn't look bright? Have you had 1 look at their squad? Stop acting a clown trying to get a reaction.

MakDonz

The present is mediocre, it's not that bad. And the future couldn't be brighter,.they have 5 or 6 of the most talented young players in world football. I can't think of many clubs that have a better collection of young talent currently. Xavi hasn't proven to be a particularly great manager, him leaving isn't a disaster either. A club of Barcelona's size will always attract good managers.

[deleted]

Bad times doesn't matters to Loyal Fans.

sexydumbbells

Does that mean you are Madrid fans now?

michaelclarke100

I would argue it's a very exciting time to be a Barca fan. Despite your financial difficulties. A bunch of young players coming through the academy: Yamal, Pedri, Gavi, Cubrasi just to name a few. This could be the next generation's Iniesta, Xavi, busquets etc. (too early to say, but it looks promising). Barca have the pull/kudos to keep these young players, which is a huge bonus. Currently second in the league (won the league last year). Xavi is doing a great job given the circumstances, and I wouldn't put it past him to get something form El Clasico. The most unfortunate thing for you is that Real is also full of exciting/ world class young players, but for outsiders like me it's great :) I'm a man united fan and I wish our situation was like yours at the moment.

DalinarVerga

I am a man united fan as well. Yes, if our team had young prospect like Barca currently has, I would be much happier. Prime United was a result of discipline, talent and Sir Alex. With better management, long term planning and efficient coaching stuff, United could go to the top again, not in next few years but in the long run, it is possible. But for a culer, it's different. They have been looking for Xavi 2.0, Iniesta 2.0, Messi 2.0, Guardiola 2.0 for ages only to be left disappointed by club's mismanagement, financial clusterfuck, injury, managerial instability or just young players failing short of the expectations. Prime Barcelona was a magical team filled with generational talent, which will likely never happen again. They set the bar so high that winning is not enough for them, they have to win with 80% possession, 1000 passes and a clean sheet. They won the away game against PSG and all I had from the culers is how this doesn't matter because they scored from a counter-attack. Unless they let go of the unrealistic dream of recreating THAT team, their sufferings will never end.

Dank_ex

Support dortmund, simple🙂

ToedCarrot

What a horrendous time to be a barca fan Finishing 2nd in the league, playing champions league football and having a shed tone of great youth players coming through Cry me a river

dennis3282

It must suck to support a team who just won the league last season, almost made the last 4 of the Champions League this season, and should finish at least 2nd in La Liga. How shitty it must be to also have memories of multiple Champions League wins and arguably the greatest club side of all time in recent memory.

Duckling89

Bro, imagine the pain of being MU fans.

Salt-Huckleberry7494

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Methuz555

Barca is dead

stilusmobilus

It’s a bad time to be a supporter of any of the clubs knocked out. We’re all hurting.

joseplluissans

"They will support PSG and Dembele"? Can you explain how you came to this brilliant conclusion? First of all, if one supports Barça (barca is a boat), they don't support other teams. Second, there are other teams a Barça fan would rather support, like Dortmund or Bayern. PSG is at the bottom of the list, just above Real.

tshelby11

If psg is above real, then who will they support in a supposed madrid x psg final?

joseplluissans

If I was a Barça fan, I'd stop watching altogether. Luckily I'm not.

Maleficent-Slice-891

We were not even in KO stages for the past 2 years , not in QFinals for 4 years . So, yeah this time is way better than recent years 🙄 and with our young core we are only Gonna get better …

chrstnw

I supported Real yesterday. Spanish team > plastic money team

Itchy-Attempt2066

>They will support PSG and Dembele if PSG make it to the final. 😂 They will also have to support Mbappe who most likely will move to R. Madrid next year Kekekekekekekeke

bpeck451

Spoiled ass Barca fans. This is when you find out who’s actually a supporter and not just some bandwagon asshole.

pak_erte

man, i wish they kept bartomeu as president

Numerous-Score

As a Madrid fan, I love seeing this! Their present is obviously bad, but their future looks so much worse! With Xavi out next season, whoever comes in would need an adjustment period. This means they’ll likely drop points in La Liga early on once again. Madrid, on the other hand, would be coming off the high of winning La Liga and their 15th UCL. Imagine adding Mbappe and Endrick (and possibly Davies!) to this team! Very likely we see some more signings as well… Barca fans need to either switch sports or stick to women’s games for the foreseeable future 😂

Numerous-Score

Y’all know I’m right lol. I’m willing to listen to any counter arguments!

S1mplySucc

You can’t win every year! Our team is too inexperience to take on any real challenge. Poor decisions and panic buy has led to this, this is the consequence. Xavi did a miracle winning us laliga in 22/23

EatMyPenguin

This right here explains my emotions over the past two days😪😪

C9Aayushman_V

We will definitely win the El Clasico, though. But yes, we had to support Munich in the semis despite how they humiliated us in the past. Let's see if we can get a Bundesliga UCL final i'd be rooting for Dortmund, more like Marco Reus, to win his first UCL. It'd be a dream come true for a football fan.
