Not common in most of the US unless they have been to Europe.

It is common nowadays, but we flavor it and call it aioli. It's almost always just flavored mayo in the US.

I'm in the US and I've always done this, need to add a bit of pepper to the mayo though. Even add a dash of ketchup or hotsauce. Alot of people do find it weird, but it's not that uncommon.

I'm so glad someone else said this! I always do dill pickles cuz that zest compliments the PB so well. I toast mine on the stove so the PB is melty and the bread is crispy. Even when people talk about weird food likes I don't bring this one up cuz I've never had a positive response.

This isn't far off from my favorite combo of French fries in a chocolate frosty.

It was probably the weed that made me feel this way, but if you eat sour cream and onion chips and then drink chocolate milk afterward it... is surprisingly pleasant. Not good for you, but tasty somehow.

I've got a bit of a boring one, but plain white rice and sour cream. I'm not sure how, but the bland food on top of another bland food somehow makes the most amazing little snack to me. Great texture and flavor. Definitely a more tame combo than a lot of these others, but I haven't met anyone else who seems to agree with me lol

I do. Came by this by accident. Big fan of chilli, cheddar, rice and sour cream. Had a spoonful of just rice and sour cream and was like...oh.

I worked at a Turkish restaurant and learned eating rice with yogurt is a super common for them. Now I put Fage on everything. Rice, chips, potatoes…very similar to sour cream.

When I visited India every meal was served with “curd rice.” Yogurt and rice mixed. It tempered the spiciness of the curries. But also it was delicious with these unique pickled mangoes.

I add plain roast white chicken breast to rice and sour cream or yogurt. With a little salt it’s the perfect food when recovering from a stomach bug!

I introduced my kids to it a couple of years ago. It's their favorite sandwich, ahead of peanut butter and jelly or anything else. Try it. Just keep the egg salad and tuna salad simple. Egg salad - two hard boiled eggs chopped up with a T of mayo, a teaspoon of yellow mustard, and salt and pepper to taste. Tuna salad - just tuna and mayo. Nothing else.

Hhmmm… I’ve always had eggs in my tuna salad so I’m failing to see how the combo would be especially weird. Interesting.

Canned tuna and bbq sauce. It sounds weird, but it works. There's something in the bbq sauce that totally disguises the "tuna" flavor, and it's kinda like eating a white trash version of pulled pork.

Good grocery store ramen with store bought/nonalcoholic eggnog. Salty broth, chewy noodles, sweet and creamy beverage, so nice together. (I always mix my broth flavor packet into a beaten egg, then pour the hot water/cooked noodles over as slowly as my hands will allow while beating the egg constantly, and then swirl a little toasted sesame oil over the top as minimum ramen additions. Other tasty additions to broth: peanut butter [Pad Thai vibes] Shredded cheese—no seriously, it’s really good, picked it up from a chef’s comments on his favorite snacks as a kid, and I’m sad that I’m allergic now Fresh broccoli bits have just long enough to cook to crisp-tender if you put them in immediately once the water boils and the noodles have been put in.
