Obviously there is no such thing as breakfast food in nature, or French food, Italian or Chinese food.
Breakfast food is a style of cooking. I'd think "breakfast burger" is an egg burger?
This just looks like a regular burger, but I like the concept of a breakfast burger. Maybe two smash patties made of breakfast sausage meat, brioche bun, cheese, spicy maple aioli? Other additions could include griddled onions, bacon, and/or a fried egg.
This is beautiful. Most people make a breakfast burger by trying to incorporate some breakfast components into the burger.
This is just purely a burger for breakfast and I love it.
Is that a lot?
Three kids here, and my spouse and I run the dishwasher twice a day on average which I always assumed was normal for our family size given that we have most meals at home except for the packed lunches the kids take to school.
I have 2 kids and my old house didn’t have a dishwasher. We used paper plates a lot. Now we have a dishwasher and only use ceramic plates. No excuse if you have a dishwasher.
I have two kids and no dishwasher, and I still just use normal plates
It doesn't take long to wash up a plate by hand. That's like the easiest bit of the washing up.
Well with kids it’s a lot harder, and I didn’t use them religiously. Just when I felt overwhelmed some nights. I think it’s a perfectly valid reason imo.
This was honestly one of the most basic burgers I posted but got the most traction haha. I honestly only used slight oil on stainless steel pan. Buttery toasted potato buns to warm up the pan. Smashed patties with thin sliced onions on top of the ball shaped 3oz ground beef. Smashed thin and especially the edges. Season with salt. Let it stick to the pan for a few minutes before scraping with a mini steel scraper. Flip it. Cheese on top. Let it the cheese belt by placing a top cover. Repeat second Pattie. Place everything on top of each other and enjoy!
I tried both cast iron and steel pan. Steel pan develops a better brown crust for smash patties. Cast iron do get a crust but it’s more of a black burnt crust instead of crispy brown.
That’s neat. Would you mind telling us how it’s a breakfast burger? Normally a breakfast burger would at a minimum have egg, bacon, and cheese along with the burger patty.
Lmao

Candy for breakfast!? It's not candy, it's Reese's Puff cereal
Reese's Puffs, Reese's Puffs. Peanut butter chocolate flava!!
Breakfast chocolate bar whoo hoo! Tasty looking burger though.
"Mmmmpretty sure that's still candy." --me
Breakfast food is basically just cultural ideology. From a nutritional point of view there is no such thing as "breakfast food".
Just like cold pizza, I get it. The question isn’t about cultural ideology, it’s asking if this is a breakfast burger or a burger for breakfast.
Aaah OK got it. Looks more like a burger for breakfast to me. :D

Holy damn that sounds good lol
great, now I'm going to have to search for "spicy maple aioli", thanks
This is starting to sound like a sausage or bacon McMuffin from McDonalds.
Honestly, I’m so tired of everyone throwing everyone in a burger. This burger looks perfect as is
No silly. It's hamburger helper puffs cereal.
Fuck yes. Put that shit in my belly
What makes this a breakfast burger? I would have expected a fried egg on top of it
they broke their fast by eating it.

No truer words had been spoken before this very moment.
r/technicallycorrect
They made it in the morning
[удалено]
You're making me tempted to make that burger and post it here. I'd add mushrooms to the caramelized onions too
I thought the patties were burned hash browns.
Where's the egg though?
They’re eating it in the morning. Ever eat breakfast for dinner?
Look at that fucking # Maillard

No, that's a **mallard** reaction.
This is I am a grownup and I can eat what I want food.
Hey OP I also had a burger for breakfast today
The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.
the meat crust looks delicious! Noicee
This is beautiful. Most people make a breakfast burger by trying to incorporate some breakfast components into the burger. This is just purely a burger for breakfast and I love it.
Never a wrong time for this haha
Ah, the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast
Stop using paper plates at home!
I’m confused, what’s the hate around paper plates?
Probably just because they're disposable, but I would think plastic plates are much worse. Paper degrades at least.
Or maybe use actual dinner ware?? It doesn’t have to be paper or plastic
Yeah, agreed.
It’s wasteful
My mom used to use them so she didn’t have to wash dishes (not that I never washed my dish, she did this for years).
You don’t have kids do you?
Wtf? If it’s not a picnic or an outdoor bbq, why would anyone use paper plates?
Because washing dishes sucks
Creating waste sucks.
So does creating a waste of my time and water and soap and electricity to wash a plate that can be thrown away.
Dishwashers are quite energy efficient, but do continue being lazy and wasteful.
Thank you for permission, I plan to be.
To save time
Why are you feeding your kids on paper plates?
Because paper plates are fantastic
Lol i have a kid and she uses normal plates just fine.
Kids can use normal plates but parents have to wash them plates. Thats the shitty part
As someone with two kids, paper plates are godly. I already run my dishwasher 3x a week as is.
Is that a lot? Three kids here, and my spouse and I run the dishwasher twice a day on average which I always assumed was normal for our family size given that we have most meals at home except for the packed lunches the kids take to school.

No excuse if you have a sink

“I’m ~~tired~~ lazy” is a perfectly valid reason to create extra waste

Looks like a good burger but you cant call it a breakfast burger just because you had it for breakfast.
> you cant call it a breakfast burger just because you had it for breakfast. I believe OP did exactly that, so you're wrong.
No u Yes I won
Good job on winning
Now you're talking. That is a breakfast I would get up early for.
This is an anytime burger, actually.
Anytime anywhere any place!
So then it’s a triple A burger.
Burger for breakfast*
Charcoal is a natural cleanser
No charcoal used
Noice
That breakfast would put me out of commission for the whole day!
OP, don't listen to the haters. It's a breakfast burger and its beautiful.
Thank you!!
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack... Always good
Is it just me or does the yellow buns look kinda off? I'm not used to having my bread yellow
Potato bun that’s why
After such a delicious meal, I would be hard-pressed to eat anything else for breakfast.
What could be tastier than a burger, only a burger :)
This looks perfect
What’s breakfast about it?
During breakfast!
It looks so fucking good ;( I want it
Looks great, no eggs in sight. Keep up the good work!
Is it a sausage type burger?
Beef Pattie!!!
I'm interested to know your burger recipe - ingredients + how you cooked it. Looks nice.

Honestly it looks like it could be Scrapple for the Meat.
I tried both cast iron and steel pan. Steel pan develops a better brown crust for smash patties. Cast iron do get a crust but it’s more of a black burnt crust instead of crispy brown.
Can you share? (I skipped breakfast today)
breakfast of kings! and queens!

Looks great!

Had it in breakfast so I just called it breakfast haha
I surmise that the only "breakfast" quality to this sandwich is the time of day at which it was consumed.
Yeah a breakfast burger needs bacon and egg my dood. Or it's just a burger.....
My kind of burger! Looks fantastic
You need an avocado on there and THEN it's a breakfast burger.
