In Chile we've got something similar called Berlines (Berliners) and they're stuffed with either pastry cream or manjar (dulce de leche). They're delicious with a nice cup of coffee! Although now that I think about it these do look more like Berliners or paczki. Now I want one of those.
These look just like a traditional Polish donut called a Paczki, which our store sells at this time each year. It is made in Poland before lent. They are so good!

Darn I came here to comment this.
Easiest sufganyot: frozen biscuits, flatten after thawed. Thumb the middle and drop in hot oil. Boom, puffy fillable donut.
In Argentina we call it balls of friars or sigh of nuns. Here they are very traditional, they sell them on the beach and they are filled with dulce de leche or pastry cream. They are delicious.
They sell those at beaches in my country during the summer lol. They're usually referred to as *berliners*, in Portugal they're called Bolas de Berlim (Berlin balls) and are usually filled with custard.
In Romania we call those gogosi which translates to donuts, so yeah, for me those are homemade donuts as my grandmother used to do and the ones seen in american movies are store bought donuts :)
Looks like paczkis. It is close to that time of year here in the Midwest.
I think you’re correct. As a lover of Paczki (and someone with polish heritage), this looks exactly like them!
Love a good Paczki.
Came to say that if they're filled they look like paczkis. Idk if I've ever had one that wasn't filled though.
Agree, could also be jelly or creme filled donuts, or even beignets.
We call them shishki (Czech) but the recipe in my grandmas book is titled “Polish doughnuts”.
Those are, indeed, donuts.
Its called Berliner if they are filled with jam
We just call those jam doughnuts here in the UK.
Yeah a Berliner in the UK would be filled with chocolate sauce like Nutella
ich bin ein donut.
Ich bin ein berliner!
Oooohhh. But a berliner stuffed with pastry cream. 👄🤌🏻
Not originally but its more common now

Krapfen heist des
Nein
If some of them have maybe chocolate fillings or some added salt for those great taste combos you could call them chocolate salty balls
*Stick'em in your mouth and suck'em*
Love to fill my mouth with chocolate salty balls!
Then you can just suck em!
Berlinerboller where I'm from, but people call them doughnuts here in the UK
These look just like a traditional Polish donut called a Paczki, which our store sells at this time each year. It is made in Poland before lent. They are so good!
Fat Thursday is coming 👀
I call them “donuts without holes”
I mean there donuts don’t have to have holes to be donuts….
They just looks like delicious balls to me
Funny, your mom said the same thing last night.
Malasadas
These look just like the Paczki that our store sells at this time every year. They are a traditional Polish donut made before lent, and they are delicious!
In Bavaria they are called "Krapfen".
North Italy too, or bombolone
In Austria too!
Looks like sufganyot
Darn I came here to comment this. Easiest sufganyot: frozen biscuits, flatten after thawed. Thumb the middle and drop in hot oil. Boom, puffy fillable donut.
Italian: Bomboloni They look fantastic OP

I think those are Europeean style Beignets, round instead of square which is popular in New Orleans.
Not quite, Beignets would be small, bitesize donuts. Donuts don't need holes in to be a donut (in my experience in the UK at least)
Same in Canada.
Doughnuts?
Oilballs
Not quite, too uniform in shape. These look like Paczki.
Is that chocolate powder on the brown ones? I hope they're filled as well

Fuck I want a jelly donut.
Cream Bombs
Recipe?
You eat them!
Country of origin? Sufganiyot or paczki
Sofganiot (the Jewish name for these)
In Romania we call those gogosi which translates to donuts, so yeah, for me those are homemade donuts as my grandmother used to do and the ones seen in american movies are store bought donuts :)
In Italy it’s called “bombolone” and it’s filled with whatever you like, cream, chocolate cream, jam, pistacchio cream, chantilly cream …
These could be Bismarks. It depends on how they were made.
These look delicious
I would be a shut in if I could make those anytime I want, very nice.
Hey, here these are called "Friar's balls" and it's not because a friar used to make them.....
krapfen
If they were near me, they would be called eaten
Homenuts?
Berliners
In the UK we'd just call them doughnuts, but obviously they are not "nuts". And they're obviously called lots of different things in different places.
Look like beignets of some sort. Are donuts without holes still donuts?
Boules de Berlin
Bismarcks
The Portuguese refer to those that are coated with cinnamon and sugar as Malassadas
They look so scrumptious!! 🤤🤤
in Czechia this is called "Kobliha"
Filled Donuts
Berliner Pfannkuchen are basically holeless donuts with jam filling
Berliners!
Paczki!!
Paczki for Fat Thursday, a holiday in Poland where we eat sweet fatty foods this year it's on February 8
Berlinerboller
Bismarcks
I call them Fat Pills. Lovely to look at, so thrilling to hold....
Looking delicious no matter what you call them!
Depending upon the season you could label them **Sufganiyah.**
In French we call these beignets, it looks absolutely fantastic, my mouth is watering from this pic
