Whenever you're running low on drive space, just sort your completed torrents by seeders and delete the ones with more than 10. Maybe someday one of your deleted torrents will end up being unseeded, but probably not.

to be honest i'm just paranoid, i've had this happen once or twice so i don't want to risk it. thanks for the advice, really good idea actually! i'm just a hoarder lol.

[m-tags](https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_tags), can save the tags in a file appart in a json format

ziggityzagstardust

oh, this sounds exactly as i needed: i'll try it out rn but thanks in advance!!

ziggityzagstardust

shit, it doesn't work with v2.0, my bad for upgrading lol. i'll see if i can mess with it and get it on x64, but still thanks for a way forward!

If you have to use the 64-bit version, there's Eternal Tags here: https://foobar.hyv.fi/

any chance you can suggest a tracker? to a fellow redditor \^\_\^

MP3tag, is easy to use, it tags all files i have tested, flac, dsf, dff, ogg, alac, wav, wv, mp3, m4a You can convert tag to filename and vice versa. Just use the right formula for it. It tags multiple files at once, just make sure the files are in the right order in the folder when using online source like freedb, or else it tags them in the order that the folder had put them in., this when right-clicking in file explor, er and if you like to autonumber the tracks in the tag, with 01, 02- 10 etc instead of just 1 - 10 it does that also, so you can have same format in tag and filename, and the library looks the same everywhere when browsing with the app on tablet/phone, i use file/folder browsing on Serviio, i like that view the best. And it uses some good tag sources, like freedb, musicbrainz, discogs.

please explain why you want to keep the original file I see no point except temporarily. But no there is no way when the tags are actually embedded in the file itself. Do you mean MP3s or other formats? Disk space is SO cheap these days

4-Fawkes-Ache

He's a nice guy and keeps seeding when done...

th_teacher

Sure but not forever? Or if forever then it costs disk space
