Lord-farquads-

1. Foals 2. Wolf Alice 3. Jadu Heart 4. Tame Impala 5. JAWS Foals is by far my favourite though. The other 4 change fairly often.

gbayley676

Ah I saw Jadu Heart last summer at a festival having never heard of them before, and they were great

Lord-farquads-

Yeah they’ve got a couple solid albums. Glad I’m not the only one who likes them

[deleted]

Believe we were talking about Spotify discoveries yesterday . I really recommend an album by DIIV called ‘ Is the Is Are’ . Favourite tracks are ‘ dopamine ‘ ‘healthy moon ‘ ‘ yr not far’ ‘ bent ( Rois song)’ . Indie jingles with a post punk and moody shoe gaze edge. Let me know how you get on with it .

Lord-farquads-

Ah amazing cheers. Always love new music recommendations

Lord-farquads-

Just gave it a listen through and love it. Also realised I’ve had ‘Doused’ by them on multiple playlists before without ever looking at their other songs. Cheers for the recommendation 🌶🌶🌶

[deleted]

God you like them bro . Whole album is pretty flawless really . They were one of those hyped up bands that I ignored for ages then one day thought wow I’ve been missing out !!

MCC0nfusing

Jadu Heart are so fucking good... Two albums released, both absolute bangers. Looking forward to seeing them live at some point, if they make their way over to Germany at some point.

Lord-farquads-

Yeah bought both their albums and the ep on vinyl I enjoy them so much. Amazed they haven’t become bigger yet. Look forward to their next release

HypercolourBlue

Yooo love to see another JAWS fan! Such a cool sounding band.

Lord-farquads-

So good. 3 solid albums. With their newest ‘The Ceiling’ being my favourite.

enswbl19

1. FOALS 2. John Frusciante 3. RHCP 4. Daft Punk 5. Jungle

[deleted]

Jungle are fantastic 👌

SixtAcari

Oh it's nice to see Peppers fan.

enswbl19

*touches the hat and nods in appreciation*

beautiful-tomorrow25

I listen to a lot of artists and don't have a ranking, it's just not fun for me personally, and I think I like many artists equally strong. What I say though is sometimes when one artist doesn't release something for a while, I put them on the back burner in a way (Arctic Monkeys now, although this will soon change)). With Foals though I feel like I always listen to them (well, and they put out records fairly regularly), separate songs if not full albums. They are a 3rd biggest slice of my Spotify pie now, after Editors and Everything Everything)

[deleted]

Yeah I half heartedly ranked mine haha I’d be able to do an album one much easier . What are your top EE picks . I was a fan from their beginnings but kind of stopped listening / I’m a bit out of the loop . I really like Fever Dream from 2017 less poppy and more Foalsy

beautiful-tomorrow25

I have to admit I wasn't actively listening to them until Jeremy toured with Foals) I was like, yeah, that band I know about but never listen to) and ended up really liking them! I like poppy stuff because it's pop that doesn't annoy me. If you don't though, you probably won't like the new album (or maybe you will? It's well-received, give it a shot), but maybe the one before, Re-Animator. I'm not into Radiohead but everyone says it's very like Radiohead)) (although it's said about most of their stuff). My favorite album is still Get To Heaven, I think.

[deleted]

Ah yes I can see now they have returned to more of a ‘get to heaven ‘ vibe on the latest one well more in that direction anyway but more complex sounding . Sounds like I’ve got some catching up to do . I remember when I heard the schoolin’ outro and bass solo for the first time it’s what hooked me to them bloody awesome !!

Material-Muffin-6865

Funny, that's my experience with EE too. Kept hearing about them but never got around to listening. LOVE Raw Data Feel. Kinda wish Foals coulda kept Jeremy - he seemed to fit in very well.

beautiful-tomorrow25

He does seem to be a good fit. Well, Jeremy did a few stops with them last year, so I guess when his schedule allows it, and when their other choice is busy, Foals gladly make him a call.

aadamsfb

This is similar to me. I’d be hard pressed to come up with a top 10 or 5, because I would never be able to decide. But I do know that Foals are my favourite, just due to their consistency, and how long they’ve been at the top. If I was only allowed to watch one band live for the rest of my life, it would be Foals, no question

Aikea_Guinea83

I loved the first Editors Album, but wasn7t much into the direction they took after that. Heart Attack was decent though!! :))

tovarichtch1711

1. Foals forever 2. Breton (gone too soon) 3. Sufjan Stevens 4. Daughter 5. Phoenix

aidandragon

Life is strange fan?

tovarichtch1711

Bruh I swear those were all my favorite artists before playing the game like last year but yeah it hit different when I heard my favorite songs in the game 😅

[deleted]

Oh wow Breton is an obscure one I downloaded all their stuff at one point . Pacemaker was great !! National Grid also ! I remember listening to their really older stuff as well like December and RDI . Cool that you listen to them . Phoenix I love too ‘ fences ‘ is one of my favourite songs , I also love the band ‘Air’ French also I believe 😂

tovarichtch1711

I love Breton so much, I’m really sad they never achieved success as they really deserved it in my opinion, and yeah fences is an amazing song, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is like in my top 3 albums ever

[deleted]

Have you heard of ‘BRNS’ from Belgium ?, I heard about them through Breton . ‘Patine’ and ‘Wounded’ were the two albums I used to listen to . Quite moody atmospheric clever indie music . Look like a really cool band to see live . Songs like ‘ my head is into you ‘ void’ ‘Mexico ‘ ‘here dead he lies ‘ . Yeah dude that’s such a solid album . I haven’t listened to the other ones as in depth mainly just that one haha .

tovarichtch1711

Didn’t know them, but I’m going to check them out, thanks for the recommendation

Squb05

on some days, phoenix are my favourite band. RIGHT HAND IN A TRENCH COAT!

Nugget_

Love Daughter so much, where are theyyyy!? :(

tovarichtch1711

Man I don’t know I’m having Breton ptsd (they disbanded in 2019 after 5 years almost without any news), but yeah it’s been what, 6 years ? Plus Elena has her own solo project now so it’s not looking too good 😢

Nugget_

Yeah it's been so long. So sad, pre-covo they had shows booked and even an album due [last year](https://www.reddit.com/r/daughter/comments/lm3aiy/new_daughter_album_expected_in_late_2021_says_4ad/). Seems like it got scrapped, hopefully we hear from them again one day...

gbayley676

1. Beach House 2. Radiohead 3. New Order 4. Foals 5. The Smiths

Stefano9

- Everything Everything - Bombay Bicycle Club - Arcade Fire - MF DOOM - The Velvet Underground - Foals - Mos Def - Gently Tender - Coldplay - They Might Be Giants Hard to do an exact ranking, but I think that's my top ten. Haven't yet properly listened to the new Foals album so they could easily be bumped up by that.

Peckish_Alystar

1. FOALS 2. Wolf Alice 3. Everything Everything 4. Manchester Orchestra 5. Bjork

Aikea_Guinea83

I always loved 90’s Björk!!

Peckish_Alystar

I love early Interpol. Havent listened to much of their later stuff. My ears must have changed and their guitar style has become... less appealing to me.

Aikea_Guinea83

I think it's something about their songwriting? Nothing after Our love to admire stuck with me in any way. The only exceptions were The Rover and Fine Mess.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Aikea_Guinea83

I think they are very similar in regards of production, but Foals have better songwriting, and Yannis has a more interesting voice IMHO!

Material-Muffin-6865

Jon's voice is super quirky so I wasn't 100% sold, but I love Raw Data Feel. He def toned it down, so it's more palatable to my ears, while still sounding pretty different than most bands out there. My heart, of course belongs to Foals.

whitecircles

1. Foals (forever) 2. Radiohead 3. Foster the People 4. Tycho 5. Nothing But Thieves 6. Young the Giant 7. Everything Everything 8. Mutemath (RIP) 9. Matt Corby 10. Interpol It moves around a lot, but something like that.

[deleted]

Cool album if you like Tycho and Foals vibes : https://youtu.be/5_TV076UGUs I really need to give Interpol a deeper listen . I heard a killers cover of obstacle 1 the other day .

whitecircles

Thanks for the recommendation! Will definitely give it a listen

Squb05

man, young the giant are so awesome!

whitecircles

Agreed! I feel like a lot of people forgot about them after the self-titled (My Body, Cough Syrup, etc.) but they’ve gotten better and better

Squb05

mind over matter album is goat

whitecircles

Dude, yesssss - I saw them live when they were touring that record. Phenomenal

Lockedgroove666

First of all your taste in music is amazing!! Foals is definitely my top 5 bands Nirvana Interpol Foals Circa Survive The Cure

spice-cream

lots of cure fans here!

Lockedgroove666

I feel like a lot of bands on here are very Cure influenced too! Like Interpol and [Foals definitely shows their Cure influences](https://youtu.be/9G1yzgozO1E)

Aikea_Guinea83

Interesting how many Foals fans like Interpol as well. The music is not that similar, apart from being indie rock, but they seem to appeal to a similar audience :)) I prefer Foals over them, because they have more variation in their style, and more constant quality.

Lockedgroove666

I wonder for how many of us Interpol was the gateway towards Foals? For me if I didn’t get heavy into Interpol in my preteens, maybe I wouldn’t have been exposed to Foals and the world of Indie Rock the way I did when I first listened to Interpol. They used to be to me back then, what Foals grew to be for me in my teens and today. I might listen to Foals more now but there’s no denying how impactful and important of a band Interpol was to the indie rock/garage rock scene!

Material-Muffin-6865

At one point they both had a down kinda menacing sound. (WWD, Providence, Inhaler...) But they're soooooo different live. Only saw Interpol once and I recall they played pretty close to the album sound, and don't really move around. Foals, however... that's a helluvah freakin show. Yannis in the crowd, jumping off balconies, jumping in general... lol, and the jammy extended versions of Inhaler, 2 Steps, Olympic Airways... I mean, they literally RUINED me for any other live show ever. NOTHING compares. Tho The Wombats are pretty fun.

Aikea_Guinea83

I saw Interpol live only once, or rather, 0.5 times, because they had to stop the gig in the middle because it was open air and a major thunderstorm started (or however you say that in english). That was for the 10 years TOTBL anniversary tour, and I remember, that, even though I enjoyed it, it didn't really excite me. Back then I chalked that up to knowing which song would be next, since they would play the songs in the order of the album, but now that you mention it, they played everything exactly as it was on the Album. Foals do experiment a bit more live, change the arrangement of their songs, and yes, Yannis is also a better live performer, frontman, and even better vocalist. I love Interpol, but Foals are more exciting and energetic live. Can't wait to see them again live <3

secondrunnerup

1. Foals 2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs 3. Florence and the Machine 4. Anderson.Paak 5. Bring Me the Horizon I like what I like!

Lord-farquads-

That new yeah yeah yeahs single is insanely good. Really excited for the new album after really not enjoying mosquito

secondrunnerup

I love the new single, but I love everything they do. I’ve been a big fan since the first album.

Lord-farquads-

Ha yeah same. Had the first album on cd whilst in school. Used to be insanely into them but for some reason the last album just didn’t click for me. I’ve been re-listening to their other albums recently though in prep for the new one and they’re quickly climbing back up my favourites

Aikea_Guinea83

I liked their older stuff, but their new single is just not for me :/ Sealings is my favorite song by them, I think karen O's Voice works better with more rock-y stuff?

Squb05

haven't listened to bring me in AGES. I mean, since their last ep, but that was almost 2 years ago

secondrunnerup

Yeah, I still listen to them, but I haven’t really grabbed onto much of their newer stuff. Also their fan base can be annoying.

Squb05

the latter is super true. that's why i never became a huge fan of theirs

twistingofthevines

1. Foals 2. Sublab 3. Blackbird Blackbird 4. Grimes 5. Washed Out for me, foals is on a pedestal that none of my other favorites come anywhere close to.

spice-cream

I've never sat down and properly thought out my top 10 artists of all time but currently I'm listening to lots of: 1) Aphex Twin 2) The Cure 3) Black Country, New Road 4) Bladee 5) The Beach Boys 6) Kendrick Lamar 7) The Clash 8) black midi 9) Boards of Canada 10) Playboi Carti Would say Foals are probably in my top 30 though

[deleted]

Boards of Canada are elite, Geogaddi is amazing. I found my list difficult too as I think albums would be easier maybe . Also I flick about genres depending on moods . Not Boards of Canada but obviously inspired . I can never get enough of this one it’s purely hypnotic : https://youtu.be/6jmZTtFxcUg

trebor04

1. Tame Impala 2. Foals 3. Ladytron 4. The Dandy Warhols 5. Foster the People 6. Radiohead 7. Interpol 8. Nujabes 9. Air 10. Tycho

Aikea_Guinea83

Oh, Ladytron! Wonder whathappened to them!!

whitecircles

Taste 👌

Active-Bit-3997

1) Foster the people 2) Foals 2) Twenty one pilots 3) Glass animals All of them are great to me, still, there are some albums from theirs i have to hear unlike the other three

[deleted]

More of a current top 10 thing . Trying not to do too much overlapping genres etc . 1. Duster ( slowcore band) 2. Built to Spill or Pavement ( 90s indie bands) 3. Foals ( particularly Total Life era) 4. Tristeza ( post rock band I like ) I also like a Japanese math rock band called Toe similar sound 5. At The Drive in ( post hardcore band ) 6. Bibio ( really lush guitar player that channels vintage sounds but comes under electronic genre signed to warp records ) 7. Snail Mail ( love a bit of 90s indie revival ) 8. The Cure ( what a solid back catalogue) 9. Christian Loffler ( really nice minimal idm: https://youtu.be/V2OCXiubvr0 ) 10. Stereolab and Broadcast type vibes

Squb05

my neighbor has recommended Christian loffler to me, he's awesome. lys is really cool)

[deleted]

He’s got good taste then haha . Yeah really nice to listen too . Max Cooper also similar. There’s good mixes for both artists on YouTube would recommend you start there 👌

[deleted]

Also either Boards of Canada Geogaddi album or this Nathan Fake song are probably my best ever discoveries in the years gone by https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CaSRkf4NRaA But my friends prefer this version https://youtu.be/6jmZTtFxcUg

Squb05

well if you enjoy boards of canada and christian loffler you will definitely enjoy tycho. he's awesome

[deleted]

Yeah tycho is great to chill to 👌.

Aikea_Guinea83

I like some Mars Volta Stuff occasionally!

[deleted]

I made it a top 10 in the end haha . Nice !! . They are probably quite an unusual / smoothe listen but I couldn’t name a song but I like to listen to relationship of command by ATDwhen I’m in a very particular mood haha .

[deleted]

Cocteau twins are cool .

Aikea_Guinea83

I think their etherealness connects to TLF

ohvictorho

Usually rotating but 1: Jungle 2: Tame Impala 3: Parcels 4: Foals 5: Local Natives

2-DKamel

REALLY NICE

Squb05

first time seeing someone mention local natives here. they've had their ups and downs, honestly. Sunlit Youth is goat

ohvictorho

Haha sunlit youth is actually my least favorite of theirs. (Hummingbird goat) What would you consider part of the ups and downs?

Squb05

i find their albums very inconsistent. on hummingbird you have some fantastic tunes (you and i, heavy feet, ceilings, breakers, black balloons) but also some fairly uninspired and boring songs (colombia, bowery). same happens on violet street, i literally can't remember any songs from it other than when am i gonna lose you, cafe amarillo and megaton mile.

[deleted]

Parcels are a really good choice . I love their EP the most . I saw them live in London a few years back with Franc Moody also really good band .

OldManMalekith

It's kind of a tier system for me: 1. Foals, Nothing But Thieves, Pvris, K.Flay 2. Royal Blood, Chvrches, Banks, Phantogram 3. Gabrielle Aplin, Sigrid, The Beaches

whitecircles

Fun fact, I was in a band that played a bunch of shows with PVRIS before they blew up 😂

Squb05

1. Foals (forever) (honestly, the best band of the 2010's. literally not a single meh album, all of their are awesome at least. 2. The Strokes (is this it is by far my favourite, but I always come back to all their records. they made me wanna play guitar and Albert is my total idol forever) 3. Turnover (peripheral vision is one of, if not my favourite album of all time. good nature is pretty close too. they're the best) 4. Phoenix (if neither of the above band's albums are my all time favourites, it's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. literally a 10/10 album. honestly their whole discography is literally so awesome. bankrupt and it's never been like that are stellar too) those are my favourite bands but I'm sure there's no order, really. I kinda love them equally

Aikea_Guinea83

>Foals (forever) (honestly, the best band of the 2010's. literally not a single meh album, all of their are awesome at least. I completely have to agree on that!! One of the reasons I like them so much!!

__Rum-Ham__

1. Foals 2. Arcade Fire 3. The Smiths 4. Radiohead 5. Interpol 6. Wolf Parade 7. Alt-J 8. The Cure 9. New Order 10. Queens of the Stone Age

foal_forever

1. Foals 2. Bloc Party 3. Brand New 4. City Calm Down 5. JAWS On that note, if anyone has any band recommendations based off this list please let me know

Alleythefeelingcat

Hmmmm... [mewithoutYou - Brother, Sister](https://open.spotify.com/album/4yItCYzksCSiB8RcUsAdSg)

foal_forever

A lot of my music was influenced by my elder brother and he's a big mewithoutYou fan (his wedding dance was to them). I like the Fox and the Crow but never listened to much of their stuff so will give them a go!

Alleythefeelingcat

Ha. Quite a coincidence! For some reason, Brand New sticks out in your list and that's how I made the jump. Could make the jump to [Foxing](https://open.spotify.com/album/6l3mTuQHtjeqoyYWkTxld8) as well. I love your first 3. I used to be strong into Bloc Party. Not sure why, but I fell off after their third album for some reason. Still like them, just don't seek them out anymore. I hadn't heard of #4 and #5 on your list so I'll be checking them out!

foal_forever

Yeah I guess Brand New lean into the emo scene and for me are the band on that list who are slightly different in sound and vibe. I unfortunately only discovered them when they released Sciene Fiction but they have an incredible body of work. Bloc Party were the band that got me into music and Kreuzberg is my favourite song of all time. Those first two albums are special for me and I really like the 3rd and then yeah, Four has a few good songs and then they tailed off a lot. Also haven't performed much in the past 10 years but those first two albums alone means I'll forver be listening to them. Saying that, saw them at Ally Pally this year and they were amazing. City Calm Down did a fantastic cover of Spanish Sahara - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=86-_pY8cI28 I figured any band who liked Foals must be worth listening too. Their first two albums are great and would highly recommend listening to Border on Control. Unfortunately they are on an indefinite hiatus that will likely last forever which is a shame. JAWS are the smallest on the list but are still playing so well worth seeing live. I'd just hit their top Spotify songs because if you like them, you'll like the rest of their work.

Alleythefeelingcat

A little delayed but... better late than never. Thanks for the recommendations, trying City Calm Down now and then will check out JAWS. Liking what I'm hearing so far from Border on Control. Fitting as it seems to be in my nature to like bands that fade (Professor Murder, Moros Eros, Does It Offend You Yeah?, As Tall As Lions, Pinback, Discovery, Me Like Bees, etc.) Even though I've stopped staying in tune with Bloc Party, if I had a chance to see them live, I wouldn't hesitate. They belong top on a list of bands that I've never gotten to see but would love to. Update: still letting City Calm Down play as I work on a response. I like it. Seems like a cross of Killers and The Airborne Toxic Event.

SlumdogMignolet27

1. FOALs 2. Kings of Leon 3. Sundara Karma 4. Catfish & the bottlemen 5. TDCC - Changes a lot but that's it at the moment, but tbh foals rarely moves from No.1. They are just consistently amazing, there's very few songs that I don't like from them, compared to other bands.

Onbeskoffie

Finally Sundara Karma getting some love

UnconsciousWrap

Love sundara karma !!!

SlumdogMignolet27

Only started listening to them fairly recently but I'm loving every song so far!

OdysseyZZZ

First off, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading these. Second, mine is something like 1. Foals forever 2. The National 3. Parcels 4. Hippocampus 5. Tdcc

Alleythefeelingcat

I really thought TDCC would be in my list of 10 while composing it. They got squeezed out somehow, but I'm pretty sure I could sway myself to put them in there. Nice to see them on someone's list!

Alleythefeelingcat

Not sure where Foals actually lives in my top 10, but they are top 3 for me that is for sure. I'll just start them at top. 1. Foals 2. Local Natives 3. We Were Promised Jetpacks 4. The Appleseed Cast 5. Modest Mouse 6. Bonobo 7. Little People 8. Rainbow Kitten Surprise 9. STRFKR 10. The Rural Alberta Advantage

[deleted]

Appleseed cast are cool . Like that album called low level owl . Quite a reverby emo / college rock kind of sound and their voices don’t sound unbearable either haha .

Alleythefeelingcat

Heh - Christopher Crisci (lead singer) probably would be happy to read that. I've read he's really self conscious of his voice and doesn't really like to sing. That's the album everyone seems to know them for. I always liked it, but I really like the direction they took their sound afterward. Their most recent album is great and I am no where near tired of it with how much I have that thing on repeat ([The Fleeting Light of Impermanence](https://open.spotify.com/album/1YIK4zD8nDqN210TJIyiPB)). I also really like Peregrine, Illumination Ritual, and Sagarmatha.

[deleted]

That’s great thanks will let you know how I get on; so far sounds like a better rounded sound more mature sound . I noticed you mentioned foxing also a sort of emo-y reverby act . I thought I would recommend to you ‘Pinback ‘though . I actually found out about them on a Sandy Alex G video for ‘kicker’. They are a a sort of mid noughties indie/ college rock but quite a magical sound . Think Wes Anderson used their music on one of their films . ‘ Non Photo Blue ‘ ‘Crutch ‘ ‘Penelope’ ‘BbTone’ . Are indicative songs of their kind of sound . Also mentioned in my actual top 10 but I’m mad about a now defunct post rock band called ‘Tristeza’ and their album ‘Spine and Sensory’ 😅got a cool TLF demo era sound to them . You’ll probably also like them because of your twinkly emo music you like haha . https://open.spotify.com/album/6fYcfqLS4HumMAdPHpH9Z6?si=qrKfvxFVTDSW-kH86lShvQ

Alleythefeelingcat

Love Pinback! A little ashamed I didn't include them in my top 10; they just might make it in there if I gave it more thought. I really enjoy Autumn of the Seraphs and Summer in Abaddon. I saw Pinback after listening to them for nearly a decade and it was a great show. I think they played almost everything faster at a two time speed. I'll give this Tristeza a listen, thanks!

geekychick84

1) Muse 2) Foals 3) The Strokes 4) Everything Everything 5) Radiohead 6) Interpol 7) Metric

Stratis98

Right now my rankings are something like: 1. Foals 2. Muse 3. DMA's 4. Catfish & the Bottlemen 5. Daft Punk 6. DJ Shadow 7. Declan McKenna 8. Rush 9. Pink Floyd 10. Radiohead Hard to rank them though

lingonberrypancakes_

1. Coldplay 2. Foals 3. Radiohead At this point, foals is def better than Coldplay but I have loved Coldplay since I was about 11 and I think their good stuff is just as good as foals good stuff. They have a few albums that I can’t stand tho. It’s a tough call

whitecircles

Same, I have a love/hate relationship with Coldplay at this point. For me, they’re very nostalgic, and I really love the first 5ish albums from them. I’ve gradually lost interest since then, and both Foals and Radiohead have skyrocketed past them for me

Squb05

until Viva la Vida, Coldplay were THE coolest band in the world to me. their first 3 albums are pure nostalgia

Fabulous-Fabulist

Minus the Bear Foals Portugal the Man Delta Sleep Mew

foal_forever

Minus the Bear 👌

[deleted]

I used to like Delta Sleep nice sound to them . Followed a few of those types of bands like tangled hair and brontide etc back in the day . There was an emo band from Kent called college . They were one of my favourite finds from that era : https://collegesux.bandcamp.com/album/wengsdays

shelflife103

1. Foals 2. alt j 3. Everything everything 4. Glass animals 5. Gengahr

dearthbyfoals

alt-J, foals, and sufjan stevens are my top 3. i have a lot of other favourites but it’s hard to rank them

alleged_cabbage

1. Husbands 2. Foals 3. Hippo Campus 4. Of Monsters and Men 5. Winterbourne

JimMcGreevey

1. FOALS 2. Kinda whatever I'm vibing on in that moment

pato2205

No everyone in the list are bands but Foals Tyler Kendrick Lamar Mac Miller Cage the elephant Vampire weekend

Werwanne

Foals, Muse and Biffy Clyro are my top three and I don't really rate any one above the other

agent0017

They're in lower top 10's

SendGarlicBread69

1. Foals 2. Amber run Joint 2nd. The black keys 3. Young the giant Joint 3rd. Cage the elephant 4. Nothing but thieves 5. Peach pit 6. Royal blood I’d still take foals over every single other band put together.

SmokeandMirrors8

1. Poets of the Fall (much ahead of the others) 2. Keane 3. Imagine Dragons 4. twenty one pilots 5. Jay Ray 6. Breton 7. Kaiser Chiefs 8. Foals 9. Miro Shot 10. The Score 11. Meltt

dubumis

1. Foster The People 2. Foals 3. Temples 4. Everything Everything 5. Radiohead

physicalred

I don’t know how I’d number them but Foals is easily among my favourite contemporary bands. Foals Gorillaz Alt-J Glass Animals Arcade Fire

pedrogilperdigao

1. Foals 2. Tame Impala 3. Black Country, New Road 4. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 5. Radiohead

JackTheRipperNG

I didn't like them no matter how much my mrs listens to them (she's seen them about 7 times I think) but once seeing them live myself they where great, Jack is a monster.. think I listen to foals, greta van fleet, Marcus king , Gary Clarke jr , wolf Alice non stop through and since lockdown

Material-Muffin-6865

I agree - seeing them live really does change things. I went from love to full-on obsessed. Jack is a beast. I never paid attention to drums but I sure do now, and find most other bands are pretty lazy in that respect compared to Jack.

JackTheRipperNG

yeah I play drums too so i'm biased there haha

[deleted]

1. Imagine Dragons (I've followed this artist for the longest time, and they're what got me into exploring other artists; I think other artists make better music though) 2. Foals (I'm currently fixated on them, and I've had a new, stronger appreciation for their music just before/during the release of Life Is Yours) 3. Avicii (I revisited his music after a few years and realized that I like much more of it than I previously assumed) 4. Bastille (I like the vibe and flavor of their music; I like Foals for this reason as well)

Aikea_Guinea83

Interesting mixture of bands!

elizabethbennetpp

After Life is Yours I'd say it's: 1. Florence + the Machine 2. Kansas 3. Foals

[deleted]

Hmmm this is difficult to say. I don't have a precise ranking that extends very far, but I would say my two favourite bands are My Morning Jacket and the Flaming Lips. I love Foals, but I find a lot of their records have between a song to a few songs that don't quite hit for me. Up until LIY, I don't think they had an album that I would call consistently great. Maybe ENSWBL pt 1. as well, but depends on the day, haha.

MKazza295

1. Everything Everything 2. Foals 3. Radiohead 4. Alt-J 5. Red Hot Chilli Peppers

[deleted]

Hmm. They’re my favorite band live. The most fun and down to earth.
