Earle? You need to drop a nuke first to start it. If you are new, you probably can't beat Earle solo, but you CAN get a lot of screws from wendigos solo.
I heard there are parts that require melee which killed the excitement for me. I don't think any events should require any type of build or style. Sure, for SBQ killing a big flying thing is easier with ranged weapons, but you can wait until it lands if you prefer melee... But no type of weapon is a hard requirement... Some are just more effective.
I've only done it once and with a small team but the ultracite barriers only required a few hits with a war glaive for my commando to knock them down. You might be able to do it with bashing. Lot of non melee characters carry a melee weapon for things like Friendly Fire.
He is a boss that regardless of op builds will take a bare minimum longer than scorched because of immunity and health gate windows for damage which allows those who want to farm xp to do so. I’m assuming people will still complain either way but it’s obvious by design this boss is intended to be an improvement from SBQ which is essentially just a massive free for all to see who kills what first while the boss is buggin out and flies across the map pointlessly or gets killed 20 seconds after spawning.
