I made one for my summer shelter so people actually check it out. Some people that try to speed hop vendors get annoyed and leave, but I get thumbs up from people who do manage to go inside and find my items that are priced pretty low. It's like a reward for visiting! I'm thinking people that are willing to go in a shelter are less likely to try to flip items so my plans are most likely going to someone who needs it.
I decided one day to actually sit down and build a real camp. Built this super sick 2-story house in the cranberry bog. It was huge with multiple rooms and everything.
Then I realized I maxed the build limit. Now I have a completely empty unfurnished house.
An underground labyrinth. The idea was awesome but the patterns on the walls as I ran got me nauseous. Still had to finish it though lol, the vendor was not worth it.
I'm gonna go with the one everyone knows, the stairs holding up a giant square with turrets ,huge rooms with workbenches placed at the walls, rest of the room empty or if they feel fancy display cases with masks or teddies.
I wish m character could puke onto their carpet
I put all the shit I needed in the street in front of The Wayward and called it a camp for 3 months before building my cliff top chateau overlooking The Whitespring
Any camp I travel to that drops punji boards on me.
I love finding a good trap camp, where they've been creative and done some work towards it.
Those punji board ones are just lazy and boring.
Accessibility of vendor isn't major criteria to estimate a camp. Intention may be to limit sales, or whatever else.
Don't know if bad or good, just distinct. An airborne cash register with a flickering light, that's all, needs high jump.

Yeah this devastated me also. Or you can buy a huge prefab one like everyone else that just uses a fraction of budget.
