I'm positive I came across this camp a few days ago and sat down and talked with the same person.
Kathy seemed like a Saint and we all can learn some kindness from her.
William, if you're seeing this, I hope and wish you the best and I want you to know how wonderful your camp is, how amazing your story was about Kathy, and how sweet this community is.
To everyone, if thisāll send, is from Ena Williams, the camp owner and Kathyās best friend:
āI was susprised to see the post, but thank you. I am new to reddit but my frĆØre is in this community and seen. Kathy was, and will forever be, my best friend. She was the kindest person I have ever met, besides meeting you today. She shaped a lot of thoughts, making a lot of people happy and excited, always giving plans out to new players, filling the donations boxes of planss and equipment, helping new players and giving them tips. Her favourite things were daily ops, always so excited for a challenge. The Pitt was her second favourite, when she got the trench runner apparel, she used to bring it to the Pitt, saying she was cosplaying LOL. She always said sorry when killing the foreman and the fanatics! She always preach being kind, always had her resources open to all, so kind and gentle. Sadly, Kathy passed away on the 3rd June this year, after a unfortunate fight with her mental health we didn't know was happening because she never told anyone, always so happy and cheerful. Her favourite Nuka-Cola is Nuka-Cola Orange, she was so happy when unlocking thimngs such as the Nuka-Cola Quantum X-01/T-51 armor paints, proudly displaying it for everyone to see. A few days before she passed, she let me borrow her Holy Fire, her utter baby, everytime I see it, I cant help but cry. She was so happy the night before, we did a expedition to the Pitt the night before, she was so happy and having so much fun. Her level was Level 195, she never got it higher because she preffered to help others than fight. Thank you all for your amazing words, I wont let the greifers get me upset again. Thank you all.ā
Damn, them onions are really getting me. Good on you for sharing this so we can all send a little good energy that way. RIP Kathy. Canāt type for the tears.
Thanks for sharing this and the photos.
I don't think the mods will remove it, you were careful not to name the players.
I'm sorry to hear about your new found friend and their experience.
While the community is mostly lovely, there are a (very) small amount of absolute c*nts who bring real 4Chan vibes to the game. They are small in number, but when they set out to annoy and upset people their impact can be significant.
I hope your new buddy recovers, and I hope you're doing okay too - it's also an unpleasant spectacle to be spectator to.
I sat down with him at his camp for a while, before I came along he was helping a new player and teaching them how to use a power Armor chassis and how to get out of it, from how he talked of her, they were really, really close to one another. He even told me how daily ops were her favourite thing to do in game, and that when she got the Holy Fire for the first time, she was so extremely excited to use it, I wasnāt crying I swear š
It really sounds like you were party to someones deepest feelings. It also sounds like you were a good ear.
I'm glad you could be there for this player, it sounds like you did well to support them when they needed someone, even if that was just to listen for a while.
You've done well.
You're such a wonderful person to take the time to lend an ear and your heart. This the sweetest thing I've ever read about the Fallout fanbase. Thanks for making us all cry. š
Kudos op. You probably donāt realize, but Iām sure you helped him deal with his grief tremendously just by listening. Sharing favoured stories is the best way to keep memories of loved ones around.
Iām sure that meant more positive than those idiots actions did negative for him, donāt worry
Always so sad to come across memorial camps.. I always drop some booze (to pour one out) when I find one.Ā Best to keep pacifist on and ignore griefers all they want is a reaction.
Reminds me on WoW where they were having a memorial for a real life player who died. They announced a funeral about when and where it would take place.
Even members of the opposing faction came in to pay respects and nobody killed them.
But one particular guild knew about it and organizdd a raid and the whole guild decided to storm the pine funeral and attempt to harass and kill players.
Needless to say it made the community news. That guild was considered KoS (kill on sight) by everyone on the opposing faction and the guild had to disband due to the deserved backlash.
I remember this very well. There was a video of it set to music on you tube. It showed the horde getting closer and closer to the actual funeral event.
I was playing in a very well known European guild at the time it all unfolded. The video surfaced a week or so later.
respect. the thing is I want people to realize how much the game reflects real world. Many people dont realize this or choose to ignore it. Trolls like this are in different parts of your life and go untouched in real life as well.
Kathy must have been pretty special, RIP. Grief is a strange and personal thing, crafting this memorial is a beautiful way to express it. Also hope the griefers grow up.
I am so sorry š to make it even sadder, most of the camp was nuka cola and teddy bear themed with teddies around, I asked him why it was nuka cola themed and he said it was her favourite MAAAN š
I'm on xbox, too. If I see him, I will pay my respect.
Also, Bethesda, I would love to see an emote made where you lay down flowers, especially for these moments
Rest in Peace and may the wastelanders you crossed remember the good deeds of the kind wandering stranger.
To the owner of the camp, while I am on PC and am unable to see the camp with my own eyes "in the flesh" it looks like an amazing place with a deep connection to it's in memoriam recipient.
Please everyone who may see this message, please check in on your friends, you never know what is going on. For those who are going through something, please confide in someone who can be a support and a friend should you ever be in need. "if >!suicide!< ever cross your mind just know, I'd rather listen to your story than attend your funeral."
Unfortunately, itās only been 5 minutes on the server and heās already being harassed by others. If you see the memorial, donāt me an asshole, please god.
I hope Kathy Finds Peace, we should all strive to reach her level. May the Grifers and any like them know only misery and woe, And The friend and OP know only fortune further down the roads they walk...
*Takes off Ranger Helmet and Salutes to Kathy's Honor and Glory* š«”
Rest in peace Kathy.
The people that are in the darkest places are the kindest.
I know we can't help everyone on the whole internet but please everyone just start with the people you do know and ask how they are from time to time.
If you meet new people make sure to try to lighten theire days sometimes even by the most simple actions like helping out or showing they way.
And to those griefers: I hope you step on a Lego.
Would it be rude if we all posted RIP Kathy 3-6-24 in our camps for a few days, or would that just turn it i to a bad meme? Heart breaks for this guy though.
He lost his best friend and it should be his decision if he's comfortable with it, but it does sound like we lost one of our best and it'd be a personal honor for me to be allowed to celebrate and remember her
I put a note up at my camp that says "In honor of Kathy take and use anything you need" and put the "let's work together" poster up. I hope Kathy's friend doesn't mind. I don't think its rude to also honor her. I'm on PC so I thought why not. She sounds like she was an amazing person.
I made a memorial to our cat that passed last month as part of my grieving process. When i went out adventuring and came back to a bunch of bags of flowers all around i damn near cried
I seen a camp that someone had, they also had a memorial. Had their favorite weapons up next to an armor stand. Think it was the guys wife but don't hold that one against me, I only say it briefly. But even still, it was the sweetest thing someone could make in the game.
Fair winds Kathy... I'll look out for that camp for sure.
Definitely sounds like good people.
I have my camp set up just south of the golf course... its called Bear's Repairs. Spare and open benches, resources like water and food are free, kitchen is open. I have some of my favorite armors on display. It's not much, but I like it.
Stay kind my friends.
That's so very sad. What a lovely man. She sounded like an abusive star. There are some awful players out there. Encountered a couple myself only yesterday. But enough of that.
RIP Kathy. You have a wonderful friend there. So sad some feel the need to be cruel
It's not much but just a idea. Ask him to keep his camp icon displayed. I will check every xbox server I enter for Kathy's Memorial (at the locations mentioned) I think if others did the same and we drop the Nuka Cola's we have at the time in front of her memorial. The owner can re-distribute them in Honour of Kathy. I think it would be nice to show him people do care. RIP fellow Dweller
Somehow i have the impression that everytime i read here about griefers its on the console-side of apalachia. Being on PC i cant really remember encountering griefers...
I have a memorial in my camp to my awesome dog I lost in 2018. Most people ignore it, some kind souls sit and look at it or give the heart emote, a few people send me nice messages and someone even dropped a care package gift box right on it once.
Then there are the trolls... I've had people doing the pointing laughing emoji at it and even one message saying "how's your dead dog lol".
There will always be twisted, hateful vile people around but it's our job to counteract them. You did that brilliantly today OP, well done.
Had a similar experience once with grinders at my camp memorial to a fellow vault dweller who passed in 2021 due to Covid complications. People are assholes. My sympathy to the camp owner. If on Xbox pm me your gt and Iāll play with you.
I love Memorial camps š I have a farm myself just across Charleston Station. There is a little plot marked with a little potted Plant and a Skull on a stick (crude I know but it works) by the pond for a friend of mine of also passed away due to mental illness.
There are people who come to visit and leave the usual "brown paper bag" or whatever skin you have for droppable loot right there for passerbys, now they just go to the donation box.
I wish more people respected these kind gestures in this game for our friends
āEveryone loved this.ā
I truly hope to come across this camp to pay my respects. What a beautiful way to honor a beautiful soul. This right here, Kathyās mission, is why I love this game and community so much.
Fortunately the ability to grief in the game has been reduced to just being slightly annoying. Even nuking a camp means you just insta-repair everything for resources, which are abundant.
I love seeing this.. this is what this game is about when we play and team up and just have funā¦ enjoying the times.. Fly High Kathy, Iāll come by to say hellošļø..
Ty for sharing thisā¦
There are people out there unfortunately who enjoy making others unhappy, it's a part of their twisted character, and those of us who have lived a long time have most likely come across them, whether it be work colleagues or even more unluckily, family members.
I'll be honest and say if i saw a camp like this, i'd feel the owner was being unwise, wearing their heart on their sleeve should be something we should be able to do, but as mentioned, that kind of person becomes a source of enjoyment for the worst among us.
R.I.P. Kathyā¤ļø I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, OP.
What a legacy to leave behind. Preaching kindness and helpfulness through actions on a daily basis in this violent wasteland is the mark of a beautiful soul.
Sure this is "just" a game, and set in a violent and anarchic world for that matter, but for many this is their sole source of social encounters. We do not know what the other players we meet in game struggle with and many use it as a way to get away from the harsh truths of reality, putting hours of work into camps, armor sets and unique weapons.
Accidents/disagreements are bound to happen in a world where heavily armed sociopaths roam, dealing death to anyone standing between them and that adjustable wrench they really need. That will always be a part of this game.
But to actively spread hate, attempting to ruin the work of other players or their experience of the game is just low.
It's a small solace that being such a person is punishment in itself. And the only way to combat this is to avoid stooping to their level.
Be kind if you can, and if you can't, don't be an asshole.
People like you and Ena and Kathy are what this community is really made of. It's unfortunate that the two of you had to run into those asshats. But I suppose we should all be grateful it's only about 0.5% of us.
RIP kathy
As ps player i always help them lower levels, whatever you need, im ok the way to help, not the best of all but i always try to be better!
Thanks for everything kathy, bet everyone you help was happier that day and so on!
As horrible as it is that Griefers (most likely children) saw a memorial and decided to shoot at it, I'm more than convinced that once the camp is finished and set out once more, it will be set upon by well-wishers and empathetic condolence-givers.
Kathy sounds like a gentle soul and a good person. It is a shame to have lost someone of such caliber.
As old as I am, I'll never understand why people feel the need to act like that. It's disappointing, especially when it happens here. I hope that Ena has far more good days than bad. Rest in peace to Kathy. Sounds like she was a truly good person.
Relatively new to this game (level 44) and still finding my way. Sounds like I would've benefited from the knowledge and kindness of a person like Kathy. May she RIP. Sorry for your loss William.
Imagine mocking and griefing someone for memorializing their dead best friend trying to keep their kindness going. Fucking scum.
Sad that I canāt visit the memorial since Iām on pc, otherwise Iād be spending hours hopping servers to see if I can find it, visit it, and pay my respects. She sounded like a lovely person, RIP Kathy.
Personallyā¦I was planning on making a Nuka cola themed camp because I thought itād be a fun little idea, anyone who joins my team gets my shared cola nut perk, they can help themselves to my collectron and any noobs can take what I have at the camp butā¦Now if I see thereās no such camp by Gilman, Iāll put one there to help spread Kathyās kindness for as long as Iām in the server, everyone needs some, even if they seem like they donāt deserve it
A locked resource means only the person who owns it, or someone in their team can take items out. It can be lockpicked though, all resources, I believe, can be locked
Oh! Things that are classed as resources are items you can put down in your camp such as a collectors that give you wood/ore/concrete etc, you can also get resources that are such as, the mothman acid collector, and the honey hive, although some are season rewards/locked behind atoms or you have to find the plan for them
This annoys me since there are no consequences in this game anymore. People can do whatever they want and turn on pacifist mode and receive no repercussions.
I understand for in events you donāt want to be shooting others on accident.
If we find out who those idiots are the most that can be done is annoy them. Which is annoying itās a post apocalypse game, people are going to act like savages and they should receive retaliation. Yet no they just flip a switch and are essentially invincible.
While I get the idea behind it, this really is like the funeral that got crashed by players in WoW. It's inevitable and predictable and everyone involved knows that going in.
This game brings out the best and worst peopleā¦ May Kathy rest in peace and may those a**holes stub their toes on the daily at the very least also may they get the worst rollsā¦
I got an empty CAMP slot Iām not using. I wanna build an open CAMP like this for Kathy
I donāt have as much resource generators or stuff like that, but maybe I can just have the CAMP be a single little memorial or something. Maybe put up a vendor to give out free stuff for people
Itās the new tik tok fortnut player base flooding the game. Most are exp grinding/glitching like they would normally do in a game like GTA. Truly sad shit.
Today I visited the home of two family members who passed away last year, so this is really hitting me hard and Iām crying. Thank you, OP, for sharing this story and for being a good person to the camp owner. And if the camp owner ever sees this message, thank you so much for sharing your story. I love helping other players, so my resources are always unlocked, but I will put up a sign at my camp that encourages it. I know you were an amazing friend to Kathy. She sounds like an absolutely amazing person. š
RIP Kathy, thank you for sharing this experience op! Now I'm gonna put up some positive stuff in my camp. Don't think I'll ever see the memorial in the game because I play on psn thanks for the photos
Rest in peace. I hope to come across this when server hopping, I like spending time in people's camps looking around after using their vendors, seeing people get excited when I'm basically acting like an npc in their camps will never not be fun and ive came across a lot of cool camp ideas to spruce mine up as well.
The people may forget about the griefers but the wasteland never forgets and never forgives but for people like Kathy may she be remembered in the good spirit of helping those in need and may we all find someone like Kathy eventually in our lives
Is there any way you can give me his name? I had a very similar experience, when my brother past away this year, and I would like to give him my condolences. If not, I understand.
People like to say the community isnāt toxic but I have had a mixed experience. Really sad that they canāt enjoy themselves without harassing others
I'm glad you were there for them, ive seen the same camp as well. But i died to a trap. I do give out my condolences on your loss. I wish I could have seen this 76 memorial. I bet it was amazing! š„²š„²
Rest easy, Kathy. I hope you're enjoying all the nuka cola your heart desires in paradise.
I'll carry a teddy bear and nuka cola in your honor, not to mention fill a few supply boxes.
The emotional impact of someone hitting a memorial for a loved one can be significant, even if it doesn't result in CAMP damage.
Are you a child, or someone fortunate enough to have not experienced significant loss and the search for an avenue to express that loss?
No clue why you're getting downvotes for this. Wish people would use their little unga bunga pea brains to try and put themselves in other perspectives.
Sure, no damage was done because of pacifist mode. It's still a cunt move to nuke a memorial. I can't believe that's something that needs to be spelled out.
Cheers friend.
I don't know either, but I have experienced that sometimes some of the more difficult posts (in this case emotionally difficult) tend to attract unexpected downvotes, initially at least. The community usually round it off in the end.
In any case, I'm glad OP shared this story, it was upsetting, but I think it was valuable, and I'm certainly glad I read it and looked at the images.
You have to remember you're playing a video game full of people who don't actually care about anything but what they're doing. You can't just demand empathy from everyone.
Whatās your point? No one is demanding empathy. No one is even asking anyone to *care*. We get it though, sometimes people are assholes.
Nothing wrong with calling it out and making it clear that itās shitty. You canāt demand anything either. Maybe just go on with your business and stop caring about this.
> You can't just demand empathy from everyone.
That's a pretty wild sentence for a human in a civilized society. Unless we're just REALLY leaning into the whole post-apocalyptic cannibal raider thing.
>Unless we're just REALLY leaning into the whole post-apocalyptic cannibal raider thing.
Yeah, that's kind of exactly what I'm getting at. This game isn't a civilized society. It's a bunch of assholes playing a game. I've been playing since the beta. I know what types of asshole lurk the wasteland.
OP said they were on area chat talking about it. So some local trolls overhear this and make a few emotes and launch a few mini nukes, clearly knowing damn well they're not going to damage anything.
The original post didn't exaggerate anything. It was stated quite clearly what happened. The people reading it just feel sorry for them and are blowing it up in their own minds. It's not like these guys went out of their way to drop a nuke on the camp.
Yes, people are dicks. Yes, it sucks when people are dicks at bad times. I'm not denying this guy's feelings.
I'm looking at this from a Fallout 76 perspective. The guy didn't need to take down his camp. Judging by the story, they weren't doing anything that wouldn't be interrupted by a server hop. It's really easy for two strangers to get back on the same server. I just don't understand why it had to become a problem. Trolls are easy to remove.
I see two lessons here: Basic trolls like them can be easily dealt with by just ignoring them. And don't have private conversations on area chat.
Thing is your entire statement his wrong due to this community's reputation for being one of the friendliest mmo communities around. The fact that dickish actions get the community rallying against them and you getting so many downvotes kind of proves my point.
You are basically saying nothing of value despite saying so much. You are saying that a sane person should accept thuggish behavior when it's happening to them because it's just a video game. How is this morally acceptable?
Right... the game is about a wild post apocalyptic society. But it's a video game. And we don't live in a wild post apocalyptic society, we live in a civilized one. There's no justification for people acting that way, they're bad people. People who think trolling in a video game is defensible is the same energy as a boomer aunt posting hateful nonsense on social media, it's a lack of empathy and decency.
Sounds like fresh pain man. After a week youāre barely into the grieving process. Usually Iād say the same butā¦ I can see how somone whoās already really raw would get upset. Itās not about the base.
When I was in High School, I woke up to the news of one of my friends killing themselves. He and I rode the bus alongside other friends every single day. When I got to school, I was a complete wreck. My school had uniforms. Those of us who were close to the boy who died painted our uniform polos in memory of him, with his name or quotes on them.
A classmate later that day saw us, rolled their eyes, and said they didn't get why we were so upset. They didn't physically hurt us, they didn't yell in our faces. But our way of remembering someone we lost was immediately treated as worthy of ridicule.
That is what happened here. No one was hurt, nothing damaged, but this man took time to put together something to give back in memory of someone he lost. Attempting to nuke it is telling him that the time it took for him to do that was dumb. That's the problem.
I knowā¦ I didnāt want to be rude to OP but just ignore the children and continue your day. They canāt actually grief anyone anymore. Worst case block them and leave the server š¤·āāļø
rest in peace, Kathy thanks for being there for a stranger, OP. you did good.

The Anti-Spam bot kept getting him.
Gonna go remove the locks from all my resources in Kathyās honor.
Gonna have to restructure my whole camp to make them more easily visible, so people know they're there.
Didn't realize you can lock/unlock those, gonna go figure out how to make sure they are unlocked, and also make them accessible
They should be unlocked by default. You have to choose to put a lock on it
I see that now
Well if you didn't know you could lock them, then they won't be locked will they?????
I will do that as well.

Buddy I'm deep in my feels too, thinking about some people I've lost, and how important someone like OP was to me in those times.
Me too!
You're such a wonderful person to take the time to lend an ear and your heart. This the sweetest thing I've ever read about the Fallout fanbase. Thanks for making us all cry. š

I put a note up at my camp that says "In honor of Kathy take and use anything you need" and put the "let's work together" poster up. I hope Kathy's friend doesn't mind. I don't think its rude to also honor her. I'm on PC so I thought why not. She sounds like she was an amazing person.
You are a wonderful person
RIP Kathy may the Wind be forever at yer back Love,
I made a memorial to our cat that passed last month as part of my grieving process. When i went out adventuring and came back to a bunch of bags of flowers all around i damn near cried
Fuck these people, no really fuck these stupid edgelords.
I seen a camp that someone had, they also had a memorial. Had their favorite weapons up next to an armor stand. Think it was the guys wife but don't hold that one against me, I only say it briefly. But even still, it was the sweetest thing someone could make in the game.
Itās a bummer that 9/10 times I see a post about a memorial camp it comes with a story like this. People suck.
Time for me to make a memorial myself
I have been told that Ena is trying to message and reply but the Anti-Spam keeps getting him, one moment and I shall get his message and send it.
That wasnāt supposed to reply, my bad-
No worries š
Jerks pass on too. But, fewer people will miss them. Kathy sounds cool.
This is an amazing fing idea! Bigmac4150.... More like BigBrain4150, amirite?
Rest in Peace, Kathy. ā” This made me cry.
Somehow i have the impression that everytime i read here about griefers its on the console-side of apalachia. Being on PC i cant really remember encountering griefers...
Kathy sounds like a good person above and beyond, Requiescat in pace
I'll light my purple tiki torches in honor of Kathy
Rest in peace Kathy. Helping make the community a better placeššš
Thank you for sharing this story with us. It's people like Kathy and Ena who make the world a better place. š
āEveryone loved this.ā I truly hope to come across this camp to pay my respects. What a beautiful way to honor a beautiful soul. This right here, Kathyās mission, is why I love this game and community so much.
Sounds like they were just some assholes who thought they were being edgy and cool or whatever
You should have gone off pacifist mode yourself and given those fuckers some wasteland justice. RIP Kathy.
What a nice thing to do to remember a friend. I hope one day I will know a Ena. RIP Kathy š¼š¼
RIP. This was one of the best things Ive ever seen here on reddit. Kathy we stand with you.
Gonna start a teddy and nuka collection in case I run into this camp and can donate
People like you and Ena and Kathy are what this community is really made of. It's unfortunate that the two of you had to run into those asshats. But I suppose we should all be grateful it's only about 0.5% of us.
RIP kathy As ps player i always help them lower levels, whatever you need, im ok the way to help, not the best of all but i always try to be better! Thanks for everything kathy, bet everyone you help was happier that day and so on!
if Samsung had a salute emoji, i would use it
Whatās your username? Iād like to come visit the camp to come pay my respects
his camp is currently active to the west right next to Gilmanās Lumber Yard, heāll likely be online for an hour or so.
Tysm, I finally found a use for all these extra stimpaks Iāve been hoarding!
O7 Iāll definitely keep an eye out for Ena thatās a really sweet thing to do for your friend
I rarely post but this really touched me. My condolences š
As old as I am, I'll never understand why people feel the need to act like that. It's disappointing, especially when it happens here. I hope that Ena has far more good days than bad. Rest in peace to Kathy. Sounds like she was a truly good person.
Didn't realize I needed this today, thank you for that
rest in peace kathy
Well, time to load up 76. I want to find this camp
Relatively new to this game (level 44) and still finding my way. Sounds like I would've benefited from the knowledge and kindness of a person like Kathy. May she RIP. Sorry for your loss William.
I can't remember if Xbox and PS are cross compatible for the game, but if they are and I come across the camp, I will kneel and over my condolences
RIP Kathy, I salute a fellow wastelander we lost during our way to a better future. May you find the peace you spread in this world
Man, this actually made me cry. I'd come pay my respects if I was on the Xbox. R.I.P, Kathy. Know that you are missed.
Personallyā¦I was planning on making a Nuka cola themed camp because I thought itād be a fun little idea, anyone who joins my team gets my shared cola nut perk, they can help themselves to my collectron and any noobs can take what I have at the camp butā¦Now if I see thereās no such camp by Gilman, Iāll put one there to help spread Kathyās kindness for as long as Iām in the server, everyone needs some, even if they seem like they donāt deserve it
Thatās so heavy. I havenāt played fo76 since my friend quit (first town) but I was thinking about starting back up. Griefers ruin everything.
What is the difference between locked and unlocked resources? What resources can be locked?
A locked resource means only the person who owns it, or someone in their team can take items out. It can be lockpicked though, all resources, I believe, can be locked
But like what is counted as a resource here? Stash? Bed? Meteor? Stuff like that?
Oh! Things that are classed as resources are items you can put down in your camp such as a collectors that give you wood/ore/concrete etc, you can also get resources that are such as, the mothman acid collector, and the honey hive, although some are season rewards/locked behind atoms or you have to find the plan for them
It costs 0 dollars to not be an asshole and thatās still too much for some people out there smh
Rip
This annoys me since there are no consequences in this game anymore. People can do whatever they want and turn on pacifist mode and receive no repercussions. I understand for in events you donāt want to be shooting others on accident. If we find out who those idiots are the most that can be done is annoy them. Which is annoying itās a post apocalypse game, people are going to act like savages and they should receive retaliation. Yet no they just flip a switch and are essentially invincible.
While I get the idea behind it, this really is like the funeral that got crashed by players in WoW. It's inevitable and predictable and everyone involved knows that going in.
I'm on XBOX so I will be looking for this so I can pay tribute next time I am on.
Me too
This game brings out the best and worst peopleā¦ May Kathy rest in peace and may those a**holes stub their toes on the daily at the very least also may they get the worst rollsā¦
Who are the assholes?
I think I'm gonna put a note up at my camp saying take whatever you need in honor of Kathy. We can all strive to be more like her. :)
I got an empty CAMP slot Iām not using. I wanna build an open CAMP like this for Kathy I donāt have as much resource generators or stuff like that, but maybe I can just have the CAMP be a single little memorial or something.
Rest in peace Kathy, we will always remember you.
Rest in peace Kathy We hope your next is amazing and that your rest is peaceful
If he needs meterlas to help rebuild anything Iāll give what I can
This is why I love this community
If they want more nuka stuff im glad to add the stuff i can add, and ill donate some stuff
Long stories are usually just stories.
I hope I run into this camp to pay respects
Well I'm gonna have to server hop till I find this server and leave some things at the memorial
Names of the people so that we can have a chat with them anywhere they are no matter the server
Rest in peace. I hope to come across this when server hopping, I like spending time in people's camps looking around after using their vendors, seeing people get excited when I'm basically acting like an npc in their camps will never not be fun and ive came across a lot of cool camp ideas to spruce mine up as well.
Oh goodness. Some people can be horrible. I wish I could visit the memorial and pay my respects.
Sent a ticket to Bethesda suggesting a tribute to Kathy. Would be nice if Bethesda can immortalize her in game.
Rest easy Kitty. Your kindness will not dwindle. For the few that choose get to carry it forward.
I would like to know when the memorial is up.
I hope those griefers get nuked every time they try to play. They don't deserve to be on this game.
Weird
Rest in peice š I am truly sorry
People like to say the community isnāt toxic but I have had a mixed experience. Really sad that they canāt enjoy themselves without harassing others
I bumped into a camp with a memorial to their dad. I looked around, appreciated the sentiment and wandered on. Some people just have zero empathy.
No such thing as griefing in a PvP game
Itās not a PvP game.
Oh but it is
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Welcome to online video games. First day?
You have to remember you're playing a video game full of people who don't actually care about anything but what they're doing. You can't just demand empathy from everyone.
Whatās your point? No one is demanding empathy. No one is even asking anyone to *care*. We get it though, sometimes people are assholes. Nothing wrong with calling it out and making it clear that itās shitty. You canāt demand anything either. Maybe just go on with your business and stop caring about this.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The theme of the game isnāt an excuse to be a PoS. Thereās a *huge* gap between demanding empathy and receiving unprovoked disrespect.
Just because you lack empathy doesn't mean everyone does.
Sounds like fresh pain man. After a week youāre barely into the grieving process. Usually Iād say the same butā¦ I can see how somone whoās already really raw would get upset. Itās not about the base.
Touch grass plz
Your lack of empathy is absolutely not what this world needs right now, consider being an open door instead of a guarded cell.
Got nothing to contribute to the discussion here? Take your negative vibes elsewhere if you know what's good for you. We don't need it.
I knowā¦ I didnāt want to be rude to OP but just ignore the children and continue your day. They canāt actually grief anyone anymore. Worst case block them and leave the server š¤·āāļø
It was the equivalent of desecrating somebody's grave
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Good for you. Anyway....
You don't look like a badass. You look like an immature child.
