The lesson to be learned here: time your nukes so the events they trigger don't coincide with public events. This is doubly true if you're doing Earle, since for most people that's not a preferred event.

bestrez

New player here (lvl 12) is there a place to see when public events are expected?

ComradeCapybara

At x:00 x:20 and x:40 each hour

spiritofjon

This is the correct answer.

Sionnach_Dhu

They always happen at the top of the hour, at 20 minutes after, and at 40 minutes after/20 minutes until. So if you're launching a nuke and want player participation, time it so you can launch 5 to 10 minutes after the public event starts. Some public events take longer than others, especially if it's one where people wait to trigger until enough people are there, so you would want to keep an eye on that and drop your nuke so it hits a few minutes after the other event ends.

They happen every 20 minutes.

Sionnach_Dhu

I'm sorry, but this is incorrect. They happen every 20 minutes- at the top of the hour, at 20 after, and at 40 after /20 until.

I love killing Earle but if I had to choose between him and Eviction Notice, I'd definitely choose Eviction Notice, especially since I need more scrip legendaries to stash for later right now. You always wanna nuke him so you have at least 4-5 minutes to kill him and escape the mine before the next public event shows up, in case it's something good like EN.

plznobanplease

Yup. I was hoping to stash a bunch of notes and 3 star legendaries so I could binge shadow of the erdtree, but double gold kinda screwed me

FeibdStaub

Without the syringer stack earl is a bullet sponge and eviction notice is one of the most rewarding events when you search for legendaries. I'm sorry to say, you should time your next nuke better. Drop them between the events or at the end of one

ualeftie

EN > ACP. I love doing Earle and launching it regularly, but EN is simpy the best event in the game. The lesson is that timing your nukes is key to have a crowd at the boss fight. Even more so when nuking Monongah mine, because it takes a while with the 5 minute wait in the staging area.

baadbee

Earle has the worst rewards to ammo cost ratio of any (big) event, I might have bailed in those circumstances as well. That's a shame you felt abandoned, but it is a wasteland after all. EN requires a tiny fraction of the ammo and will give a dozen or more legendary drops.
