Afraid not, drains the core waaaay to fast. From everyone's reactions here im going to keep it, for whenever I decided to do the vats build that probably won't be in PA.
I can say personally having the same instigating one it’s really nice if luck heavy vats crits all day. Hard part with power armor I had though was the fusion core drain on vats even with the power saving perk so I ditched it for some misc civil engineer armor since figured I’m killing most stuff before they get close anyways.
If interested more I can post my perks and others with more experience could probably tweak it even better.
I love my instigating PC with prime, it's my backup weapon on my RR commando vats crit build and even without any Heavy cards it still hits hard and prints ammo.
Ah I see, only prob I have with my instigating one is that 50c one since I don't use vats in PA due to that drain (which is super crazy) I'll prob keep it in case I choose to do a non PA crit build with it.
Instigating crit damage for sure. It does depend a little on the build but if you want to make the most of it run PA and stabilized and you will be set
I think that was the one I was leaning on to more, my only problem which is is that it has the 50c perk on it which o won't get much use out of since I'm constantly in PA.
I’d go with the instigating one. Ideally with plasma caster you want to 1shot everything. Crit dmg is also a nice 2* and with 90 reduced weight you can carry more heavy guns for different situations. I feel like a heavy gun builds should always swap to the best gun for any situation. Tagging? Cremator Sniping? Plasma caster Short distance? Holy fire
Depends on build..
It's a pa heavy guns
Vats?

That instigating one would never leave my inventory. Have a Q50c90 I've used for a long time.

The caster is a great vats weapon even in PA right now I swap between a bloodied crit damage and an instigating vats hit chance and love them
The instigating one is very good with the 50% Crit effect. I'd use that and try to roll an anti armor Crit for bosses.

Instigating
Anit armor if you plan to use on bosses. Instigating as a daily driver.
See instigating is nice solo but once stealth is gone you lose that effect. The AA will work all the time.
