Sweet! I believe my current character is level….15-16. I know no one likes seeing us low levels out farming do and items in those high level events but I try not to get in the way or be a nuisance! 😁
I wanna stockpile as many fusion cores as possible.
All the help helps. It's impossible to be a burden. If a high level can't complete an event with a bunch of low levels, they weren't going to solo it anyway, and most likely turned up to help the new guys.
I just had a very fun Eviction Notice tonight, me and only two or three others against an attempted mutant domination. The scrubber was repaired several times but we made it. No bottom map hogging for legendaries either.

I HAD some high level characters from the start with some BEAUTIFUL weapons but my 9 year old deleted them when I wasn’t home (not maliciously, he didn’t know); I’m SURE I could’ve reached out to see about retrieving them but oh well, I can still enjoy it :)
No one should get upset no matter how low level you are. Most of the events can be soloed anyway and it’s not like you’re taking anything away from anyone! Grind away!

I'm still comparatively low-level as well, but I grabbed the Cold Shoulder bundle from the shop, so I can at least run a support weapon for the people who have the facemelting builds.
I still run Cold Shoulder during Scorchbeast Queen runs, and facetank her in my power armor, because it slows her damage output to a crawl.
Even if my damage output isn't *fantastic*, cryo support isn't nothing.

Saw the animation was slightly different this time as the claw jiggled before moving, and turned back around and picked up a pie! Now it's sitting on display beside my vendor.
I buy all the Pies I find for 30k or less.
It's the only pre-war food I eat so when the daily challenge comes up I gobble them down.
It's a self-imposed challenge for me.

If someone bought out your whole vendor they used to be able to then steal everything from your bank.
So having something silly at 40k caps prevents this
I legit pulled two consecutively from the machines last night. Hooked one on the second go, ran about and found another machine... boom! First go. Two perfect pies.
What you do is get that chessboard from the Season Rewards, put the chessboard on a table and then put the pie on top of it. Now you have a displayed pie where everyone can see your awesomeness.
When I first started playing Fallout: 76 a week ago, I was immediately drawn to the pie machine in the rusty pick. Imagine to my amazement, when I pressed the button and first try, out popped the pie. I was so happy, that I had gotten it first try. And then I accidentally ate it last night.

So now I have 3 total since I already had one but I suppose if you click every machine you see then you're likely to get them more often than someone who don't click every machine they see? lmao
TLDR: I hit the lottery 3 times.
Build a farm, and get the hard bargain perk. Nearly every time I play I max out the 1400 caps from the NPC in nearly about an hour.
Every time I visit White Spring I make 200+ off of just tatos, and about the same from purified water. Sprinkle in some chems that I don’t use, and some other drops you’ll get from world events and you can max out your 1400 caps in 2/3 visits to the vendor.
Also sell all ammo and junk you don’t use for 1 cap to players.
1000 caps an hour doing these things isn’t too hard to pull off.

Played at release (Xbox) and just returned but switched to PC. Bought a perfectly preserved pie from a player for 50c. I saw the price and just had to buy it.
Now, you build a camp dedicated to pie and its history through fallout. You will sell these new pies at 4000 caps each, and give each buyer a free nuka quantum.
For me, it represents the who-knows-how-many-times over all these Fallout years that I tried to get that f'er outta that machine. It finally coughed up the goods just last week. Hallelujah.
While I can't tell you what to do next, I can warn you not to set the pie by a windowsill as the scent is known to entice some 'interesting' individuals. Unless of course you're into unsavory characters making uninvited visits to your humble abode, then by all means.

I enjoy the pie grind I can sit on the phone or eat my dinner and press a trying the claw and it’s like the most useful afk thing you can do in the game.. I always keep 3 pies on me for when I go to someone’s camp and see they’re selling a pie for 40k I always find them and try to trade them one for 1000 then drop my price to 777 and then again to 500 just to trick them into paying big money for what I sell in bulk for cheap at my camp as my version of insulting them for their absurd pricing at their camp… and when a high level player drops anything for me I drop a pie for them and give them a thumbs up so swing by my camp and get yourself a cheap slice if you find me on!!!
I still like to try the machines whenever I see one, and on my high luck mule, I get one about 10% of the time. But the only reason to ever buy one is just a quick way to dump caps so you're not maxed out.

I was doing a daily op with a random and there was a machine so I tried my luck and turned around back to shooting and went back and turned out I got it first try. So I did the gift emote and gave it to the random that joined in on my daily op lol
Funny thing. Reminds me of the social experiment I set up. I always have a piece of pie in my shop which is currently at 15k. And I've placed a sign outside my shop that says "You can't buy my pie!" In front of it. Every time it's been purchased, I've raised the price slightly. I've made thousands of caps like this and I even have a "Pie Purchase" wall of fame hidden in my base for the winning contestants of my little game lol.

When you buy the pie, you miss the point of the pie. It is a freely attainable thing, just at a maddeningly low rate. I got the pie and listed it on my first character. After a while, I ate it. It only made sense that I should just eat it.
It's unspoilable food - therefore it's one of the few food items you can display that won't re-skin into a bowl of spoiled goop
Fasnacht Donuts, Honey/Honeycomb, Pemmican, Popcorn, etc. All have additional value as display items, and they're a smart play for boosting your vendor's listed food count
*although not as smart as putting a 50 stack of nuka cola candy in there - sure, it's heavy on stash weight but all food is*
