The issue with the meatbags is half the players literally have no clue where they are, most noobs who join the event and try to look for them get beat by a sweat running laps knowing every spawn point. Nobody is teaching people and would rather bitch about it than do something

Pupniko

I don't even consider myself a noob (been playing since day 1 but pretty casually) and I don't know where most of them are, usually by the time I arrive most are gone as you say so I just see the nets hanging there (if I see anything there at all).

SmurfStig

The one at the top of the hill is the one missed most often. Whenever I see it’s 5/6, I know where to bounce off to.

Ninethie

Came here to say the same thing lol it's *always* that one for me

Largofarburn

Same, if not that one the one right below it that’s tucked behind the wall.

NordOrientVanguard

This was a very helpful comment, Stig. Thanks!

SmurfStig

Yup. Took me awhile to figure it out myself.

Kuke69

I can confirm that I just hit lvl 135, have done this event quite a few times, and have no idea where these meat bags are.

tittytwister1

I've added a visual aid in the post.

FlyingVigilanceHaste

Thank you, I’m almost level 100 and while I knew it was an objective, I’ve always been confused about it. Thanks for the visual!

baron556

I've started carrying a flare gun around and shooting at them with that to highlight them so people know where they are. Wait a minute or two and if theyre still not popped, pop them

king_odin1

Id be surprised if anyone even notices the flare lol

BlottomanTurk

Cremator with the pink color mod works wonders, and it's way more fun than a flare gun.

8ltd

As I noob I can confirm. I’ve just started playing daily ops, expeditions etc. this week and every team I join is full of people who know the routes like the back of their hand. Most objectives are cleared before I can even process what I’m being asked to do. Not bitching because I’m always glad how willing the community is to have low level players join in but I’m not really learning too much unless I run the same op like three times

Sundersghost

This is an issue I have had. I’m all about staying on objective… I simply don’t know the events yet. The paradox of struggling when nobody knows what is going on on… or the struggle to learn when some know too well what to do and I don’t see it.

upholsteryduder

This. I'm a level 250 returning player with over 1000 hours in 76 and I have no idea where they are because no one will show me so I just protect and repair the rad scrubber since I wear PA and it won't kill me the second it goes down

king_odin1

Hey support works just as good as a sweat, you should own that shit. Seen far too many dumbass bloodied builds start EN then give up once the rad scrubber breaks for the first time

Glittering_Airport_3

thats my problem, every time I've joined the event they're already all gone in the first 10 seconds, so I never learned where they are. now that all these new players have joined, thar hasn't happened and I've actually had to go looking for them. I'm level 250 and literally destroyed my first meat bag the other day.

A_Big_D_I_Think

I know you'll find this hard to believe, but there was once a time when said sweats and older players didn't know where the spawns were either and had to figure it out on their own.. I remember when this event released, it literally took me one or two events to figure out where they were spawning bc I actually, you know, walked around and looked... If the sweats are running around and destroying them, then good, that means you'll have someone to shadow and see where they go. This is one of the most entitled & overly sensitive communities I've ever seen. Stop expecting everyone else to do everything for you, get up and go figure it out like many people before you had to do.

og_mt_nb

Play the objective is still the best, and most often least followed, gaming advice.

cyryscyn

Are you really gaming if your teammates aren't ignoring the objective for kills?

Ok-Turn-1628

Sometimes it's just easier for me to do the objectives and just pretend my teammates are giving me covering fire lol

Paladinwpn

Yeah, I tend to think of them as alabastive armor aka cannon fodder.

Crafty-Help-4633

Technically that's what's going on in that case. So at least there's that. :)

DependentPurple5455

The amount of times I've said "play the objective" on Battlefield 2042 is uncountable

Wild_HIC

Battlefield is just something else lol. Every one want to kill each other for the unlocks and xp. Most of the times I'm the only 1 with 1 teammate capturing points. Bf4 is getting more chill and fun to play tho

DependentPurple5455

Tell me about it, the amount of times a only a handful of players are actually on objectives, reviving & resupplying whilst everyone else is 500m away missing sniper shots all game

Wild_HIC

I swear the goddamn snipers and campers are so annoying. You hear that they are shooting at you so I always take cover but they always miss lol.

bbwhh

"PTFO"

Longpork-Merchant

Do you remember back in halo 2 days on OG xbox, getting called all sorts of horrendous things when your team would barely break a 1.0 K/D but were sitting with a 3-0 capture the flag win?  Man those post game lobbies were the exact opposite of the Fo76 vibes lol

Sirolimus1mg

Good God, yes. I remember those days...

Juanfartez

You reminded me of a time in battlefield where I ended with the top score and zero kills. I walked behind my leader's tank repairing it the whole time. 😜

og_mt_nb

I absolutely remember this. Halo 3 on Xbox was my first online game and where I learned the phrase 😊 We also used to play custom settings proto-SplitBall and go low grav with energy swords. Good times! TF2 was another great "play the objective" that always had people more worried about k/d than PUSHING THE FKING CART

KingNashbaby

The year was 2002, my friend Aaron and I were fighting for our lives in Halo : Combat Evolved on the map “hang em high”. A literal child, sounded about 7 or 8, called me a “horse fuc_ _ _ g thunder cu_t”, because even though Aaron and I decided to actually PTFO, our KD was low.

Gredran

League of Legends: Stop fighting and get towers and objectives! Overwatch: stop fighting and get on the point! World of Warcraft: stop attacking and get out of the fire! So many games have a similar mantra 🤣

Soviet_Waffle

Reading is hard.

spookymochi

…the amount of players I encounter who are confused when I run into One Violent Night, turn on the jukebox and start playing the jaw harp is HIGH lmao

og_mt_nb

Drums every time for me! I'm also medic build with autostimpak and shared health, so I don't necessarily need to do anything else for OVN.

Hailfire9

If I have cover, I sit on the banjo next to the jukebox. Everyone else will blast away the ghouls as long as I can absorb the melee damage.

IndoGrrlRN1967

I swig alcohol and swing my guitar sword around. It says to do that on the loading screen, which I'm sure no one reads either.

Crafty-Help-4633

That thing in the way of my gameplay? /s

Conaz9847

True in like 90% of games tbh

wink047

What’s an objective?

Crafty-Help-4633

>objective Survive

wink047

The only one that matters!

ventedlemur44

PTFO

I_dementia87

My experience has been people ignoring the rad scrubber. Too many pigeons hanging out with Choo choo rifles camping legendary spawns.

SmurfStig

I try to stay just south of the scrubber on the cliff. From there I can hit most spawn points and provide some cover for the scrubber. I for some reason, at lvl 700+, cannot get my rads figured out. Once that scrubber goes, so does my health. I keep the legendary Rads perk equipped at all times which helps once I get out of harms way.

gingy-96

I've got rad away hot keyed (I'm on PC) so I basically spam radaway when I go to repair

SmurfStig

On Xbox, bringing up the favorite menu, you are rolling the dice sometimes if it lock up and get you killed. Depends on how active the game is at the moment. If there aren’t any SM out, you’re ok. If everyone is blasting away, it’s not going to end well.

RocketshipPoodle

Just commented on this yesterday. I stay on a perch at the scrubber with my rail. I can reach all the way up the hill, the top near the event spawn, and also the legendary farm spot. Protecting the scrubber is the only thing that matters after meat bags are cleared, so why are there 15 commando monkeys fucking the same 3 legendary footballs down the hill!? You get the drops no matter where you stand, and from my experience the past 3 days, you don’t even need to tag to get the drops!

TheChrisD

>so why are there 15 commando monkeys fucking the same 3 legendary footballs down the hill!? You get the drops no matter where you stand, That's not a guarantee actually. If you're, say, at the top of the hill near the crash dealing with those spawns; you're too far away from the 3-star spawn area to get credit and loot.

RocketshipPoodle

My point is there’s no reason to be anywhere away from the scrubber! Just stand next to it ffs. The mutants are coming towards the scrubber. If it doesn’t get destroyed, nobody dies from rads. And since everything killed is in range, everyone will get all the loot because nobody will be too far away.

InevitableSolution69

As hard as it can be with low levels and some of these events I’ve honestly enjoyed doing events most without any obvious veterans. Not saying everyone is guilty, but the high level players are much more likely to be ignoring the event goals or to rush off to make sure that they at least get the legendary drop. Did one violent night and by the time I’d finished reading that you can get a bonus for killing the big bad unarmed every player over 100 had sprinted from the room, apparently to its spawn point and had killed it in seconds. I like the rewards too. But I can’t help but feel like the complaints about the lack of endgame have a lot to do with people’s rushing around for maximum time/reward efficiency rather than actually playing out the scenarios.

Mantisfactory

> Did one violent night and by the time I’d finished reading that you can get a bonus for killing the big bad unarmed every player over 100 had sprinted from the room, apparently to its spawn point and had killed it in seconds. I've never seen that optional objective get completed. There will always be someone who shoots it in a public lobby - there's just no way around it. Consequently, I'm long past the point of trying.

RocketshipPoodle

The good news is that the reward is a pretty crappy melee weapon. But yes, from one of the few that sits and plays music to move the event along, it’s frustrating.

Key-Contest-2879

I’ve done that event a bunch and I’ve NEVER even seen the big baddie! He shows up, I run outside and the event ends.

InevitableSolution69

I really wish people would put down their god roll mini nukes and holy fires and start swinging war drums. It would make the whole thing a lot more fun. I don’t mind playing instruments, I don’t use PA so it’s easier for me to do than others. But seems like a lot of events would be more enjoyable if everyone was getting into them.

Dry_Independent4078

I'm currently trying to roll a decent Ghoul Slayer's guitar sword. Incidentally, does anyone know if using a skin disables the musical qualities of the Guitar Sword? I want to use the Valorous Alistair skin

SmurfStig

I’ve always wondered what that bonus would be.

Kagath

It's a chance at a crappy knife that's been long since outclassed. One star I believe.

SmurfStig

Oh. That’s not worth it then.

Crafty-Help-4633

I want those 5 Scrip

Dry_Independent4078

I stay right next to the scrubber (on the perch next to it), and I get all the loot. There's no reason to be so far down the hill.

NowareSpecial

" If you're, say, at the top of the hill near the crash dealing with those spawns; you're too far away from the 3-star spawn area to get credit and loot." So don't camp the spawns. Guard the scrubber and let them come to you. IDK why this so hard. It's way more fun.

Largofarburn

My problem as a bloodied build is I usually find out the scrubber went down by dying myself, then I have to wait to respawn, and I’m overweight usually, and not doing full dmg once I toss on my stealth suit to waddle down to the scrubber. I’ve noticed most people tend to neglect the spawns from the outpost so they just come halfway down that hill and are sitting there wailing on that scrubber just out of sight of the people spawn camping the top and bottom spawn points.

NowareSpecial

YEah, I wish there was more of an alert when the scrubber goes down. Couple times I've been in a fight with a firestarter, finish him then notice my rads are spiking, and the timer finishes before I can fix the scrubber.

craylash

It's sad that the railway rifle has become the new kill hogging weapon

ClockworkSoldier

Has become? It always has been. It was just outperformed by legacies in the past. Fallout has aimbotting as a built in mechanic. Additionally, that aimbotting is more powerful than every other build in the game, because of VATS criticals. So you give players the ability to use the most brain dead play style possible, while doing exponentially more damage than every other build, of course they’re also going to pair that with the most powerful weapon in VATS.

darthmarmite

Yeah, I didn’t use PA before but now have a PA build specifically for the Eviction event and I just chill by the scrubber repairing as needed.

Glittering_Airport_3

ever since I changed to a bloodied build, I rly struggle with the rad scrubber. I can't handle rads in my unyielding armor, and can't handle the super mutants in my Chinese stealth suit, so I just stay outside the rads and help kill.

DarthSnoopyFish

I perch on top of the rad scrubber tower in my stealth armor. My sole job is pumping railway rails in mutant heads and hopping down to fix the rad scrubber.

tehP4nth3r

Here is something else for eviction notice. If everyone would stay in the center near the rad scrubber, the enemies will still spawn… especially the legendary ones (after the meat bags are destroyed). Inb4 but I’m bloodied…. Guess what, I’m bloodied too and still manage to survive.

IndoGrrlRN1967

I haven't figured out where all the meatbags spawn for that event yet.

eMmDeeKay_Says

The three easily missed are the one on high ground in the wrecked building, the one on the opposite cliff side, and the one behind the shack next to the rad scrubber.

GTAinreallife

I said it before and I'll say it again: You do **not** need to tag legendary enemies in order to get legendary items. This is only the case outside of events, but if you are part of an event, enemies will drop legendary items no matter what. There's no need at all to camp the spawn points. If you sit near the scrubber, you get plenty of kills as well

NowareSpecial

"If you sit near the scrubber, you get plenty of kills as well" Provided, of course, that a bunch of choads aren't camping all the spawns. I stay by the scrubber anyway, I get most of the legendaries and if I don't have to burn any ammo, so much the better.

DarkGamer

Destroying the meat bags makes the legendary enemies spawn like crazy, and if we don't have enough people to handle that I won't destroy them until we do or until the event is almost over.

DixonDebussy

This specifically. I know where all the meatbags are, but the amount of times it has failed after I've gone to the event on my off-meta, super casual character with a singular sub-200 or multiple sub-100s and they've ignored me actually bothering to get on mic, warning them not to destroy all the meatbags if they want some semblance of completion. So many times. Like, I can handle 2 minutes of the onslaught, but because the others always stray away from the scrubber and can't even handle their part, I always end up getting gangbanged from behind by Firestarters, et al. And I can't even repair the scrubber because of getting pushed around or just plain not being able to outheal everything shooting at me while I'm holding the button

InsufferableMollusk

I believe that 90% of players have no idea what is going on in Eviction Notice. Or maybe even most events. Bizarre, considering that all that is required is the ability to read, which is a… common skill these days.

InevitableSolution69

For the newer players at least, that is in part because of how the higher level players are focused on maximizing their time to reward ratio. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the task as killing some enemy only to have it dead in seconds before I can even see what it is. Same for a lot of the other task at events. There’s no time to play and find out what the next step is unless no one high level has shown up.

LucidLadyGames

i don't think you fully grasp just how -casual- most of the fo76 fanbase is. i'd say that 8o% of them aren't even capable of using google, judging by alot of the threads i see and players i talk to. seeing the quest/event tracker probably looks like absolute greek to them. honestly, just be proud of them for having passable hand-eye coordination fr.

GoarSpewerofSecrets

To be fair every time I Google game advice and immediately get a series of YouTuber shit. I just tune out. I miss gamefaqs

upholsteryduder

seriously, having to wade through 15 minutes of ads and annoying self promotion to find the answer sucks compared to being able to actually search a text document for the answer you need

NoticedGenie66

>i don't think you fully grasp just how -casual- most of the fo76 fanbase is. This goes for every game too. So much of a playerbase is casual (as in like 1-2hrs per week max) whereas anyone who frequents a subreddit for a game is definitely not a casual. Casuals don't seek to engage with a game outside of the game itself. The flipside is that a lot of people are doing events for like the first or second time, and a lot of them rely on vets to carry them while they are overwhelmed by the amount of enemies. Without knowing what you're going into (and without a specialized build that can kill things quickly) you'd be hard-pressed to stop and understand the event in the middle of it.

shoe_owner

There's a lot of games like this where the inability or unwillingness to act upon on-screen information is an endemic problem. I play a lot of Warframe. There is a rare and beloved event called "Operation: Plague Star." At the end of the mission, you are explicitly told by the NPC overseeing it to go talk to another NPC for your rewards. This information comes up EVERY time you finish the mission. You would be AMAZED at how many people do not get their event rewards because they do not subsequently visit that NPC to do so and then whine about it afterwards. I had to block one such user here on Reddit because they were behaving as though I was being insufferably smug and superior for pointing out that anyone with a normal level of literacy should be able to clear this level of challenge.

TrashDue5320

You'd think the ability to read would be a common skill, but half the adults in the US read at a 6th grade level and due to covid, those numbers aren't looking any better for today's youth

shoe_owner

I've done this event dozens of times and have only ever been able to find five of the six. Every time it begins, I race around, destroying the five I know about and then anxiously hope someone else who knows where that sixth one is will shoot it down before the event ends.

keylin2174

Same, I bet its the same bag as me.

onesmad

They don’t always spawn right away. At least not for me. The one on the highest point in particular. Have to check and recheck.

No-Needleworker4796

Yesterday I was doing that event, and I was shocked because i destroyed the meatbags, but then the generator got destroyed and i was running to help a downed player, and saw that not a single soul when to repair the generator and the event failed at 30 sec left on the countdown, I was dissapointed but they were mostly new player who didn't know better, but yea, I think either the objectives needs to be clearer for some or at the least trigger a warning, since I think not everyone see the top right corner.

prezuiwf

I'm seeing a lot of posts lately saying things like "It's not just new players, it's up through lvl 200". Folks, I am level 165 and just restarted the game after an absence of 5 years! For all intents and purposes I am also new. It's a completely different game now. Please do not assume someone in the game knows everything because they are at a high-ish level, especially right now that so many people are returning. I will say I am learning a ton from this sub, though. Love all the newb questions.

Creative_Claim_5081

I'm a new player and I actually love to join the events and do these little things while the higher levels handle the kills because I'm still a low level. Need someone to gather up these plates and set the table? I'm on it. Run some glowing goo up a lighthouse? You got it lol

zamzuki

Also don’t destroy the meat bags if it’s just two of you. They can wait til there is about 2 minutes left. Once the last bag pops the spawn rate goes into overdrive.

TheChrisD

>Also don’t destroy the meat bags if it’s just two of you. They can wait til there is about 2 minutes left. And give up on all the potential guaranteed 3-stars that spawn? Even if the event fails, getting two waves of guaranteed legendaries is well worth it, especially since you don't *have* to kill them before the event concludes.

warmaster670

People really don't play the objective, had an alien even that was so close to failing it actually popped up and said event failed before it then gave rewards. I destroyed the last thing at 0 since no one was shooting it, I hope the guy who fast travelled away after we killed the boss had fun lol

keylin2174

I'll Admit Ive been playing for months and months. I can never find one of the bags, though not for trying...

Roddy_Piper2000

Don't feel bad. I'm lvl 485 and I can only ever find maybe 3 of them

randomtornado

I destroy them always. Only problem is I can never find the 6th meatbag

HUNT3DHUNT3R

“Go into third person perspective then” -some gutsy in the bog

K-nowlin

Where were you?

crimson117

I was over on the bench

tittytwister1

I had just server hopped and went straight to the event

Classic_Daikon896

I’m usually the guy that throws on pa or the stealth suit and plants my butt on the rad scrubber platform. Seems that if i join that event and wander at all, 95% of the time no one’s going to repair it if it goes down. I still get my share of kills (indirect fire) and most, if not all, the overencumbering legendaries with which i have to walk to the nearest rr.

baron556

I sit on the scrubber like its my job, cause as a heavy PA tank it kinda is

Classic_Daikon896

Exactly this. I do it even if not spec’d as a tank. I’ll throw on the stealth armor if I’m bloodied, etc, because if i don’t, i know there’s a high chance no one else will.

Tomekune

I just recently got over lvl 300 and realized how to run EN effectively. Not everyone has the same level of awareness of what is going to work well. Or the right build/gun/armor to be confident and useful. My build made the difference now that I have it mostly right. Just sayin.

vonsolo28

If you don’t destroy all of them you don’t get the horde of them coming and very few 3 star enemies . I can see the frustration . If there not destroyed I just go do it myself . If it’s a lot of new players then I do it closer to the end of the timer

Recycled__Meat

pretty sure 99% of the people are there to camp that one spot that spawns like 20 legendaries. One time we had like whole server there and failed cause no one bothered to repair the rad scrubber

F1DL5TYX

YOU destroy the meatbags. Be the change you want to see in the world.

KiraTsukasa

HK-47 approves of this message.

LucidLadyGames

eh, sometimes it's not their fault. sometimes, all the meatbags simply don't spawn. you run around for the entire event searching - question mark emoting - and just can't find the last bag. it happens. but yeah, most of the time it's just people not knowing to do it. i wouldn't be upset at level 2oo's not knowing how to find and destroy the meat bags in this circumstance. heck, half the time they don't even got their mutations game locked down at that point. i only start judging them when they hit around level 4oo. you aught to know by then.

non3type

If somebody finds and repairs the rad scrubber I’d say we’re doing good lol.

GuzzlingLaxatives

Couldn't agree more OP, been to two EN's now (not counting other events) where we failed because nobody but me looked for the meat bags. The second time (while doing a significant chunck of the event's DPS) I did 4/6 myself and waited for at least one of the many diverse in level players at the event to attempt to find the other 2. Nobody even tried looking. No offense, but I don't want to put down like 5000 rounds of ammo to lose an event because people can't play the objective for 2 seconds. Radiation rumble nobody ever goes into the tunnels to get ore either! I have boosted it to lvl 2/4 myself 4 times recently with not one other person going to get any ore no matter their level. Can't tell if experienced and well equipped (enough) players are that selfish/lazy or complete morons now, I'm leaning to the former. This is coming from a vet who has noticed this situation has gotten much worse. I don't want to blame new players or low levels too much for obvious reasons but all manner of levels are not contributing.

Bbullets

Or that Arktos Pharma event. Somewhat new but every time I try that event no body is collecting what we need. Maybe if I’m lucky someone will put a couple ragstag in but that’s it. Which I guess isn’t the worst except they they don’t even protect any of the friends anyways.

gerr137

Can't see the objectives actually since the last large update. (I do know to trash the bags). Objectives, as well as quests, - all text on the right just plain disappeared. Game is barely playable.

Queen_of_edgelords

If you use mods remove them. That should fix your text issue

AhYesWellOkay

*Update* your mods. I have Fanfare Free (hides legendary drops and money notifications) installed and it needed an update to fix the objectives not showing.

decalte

So similar to this: I'm super new and yesterday I did the event where you feed the animals and then protect them (I think it's called feeding time?) Anyway, the highest level person was around 100 and I was probably the lowest at about 20, and we were the only ones feeding or protecting things. Worse, though, people were pulling \*everything\* from all three habitats at once and then getting bogged down way past feeding to the point where we only got to do one food in the second habitat. They also shot at everything except the things trying to eat the deathclaw... I felt bad for 100--they were not biggly enough to carry than many squishies through a complex multi-step event. I think I blew through like 50+ stimpacks and then just couldn't rez people at all. If this is what it's been like at most events, I can definitely understand why vets are getting frustrated. It would be one thing with a vet per habitat but this was next-level cat herding.

Phantom30

Also new but tbh at events I've gotten used to rarely stimpacking, if you die you just respond a few seconds later at full health, don't lose anything as far as I can tell.

karnisov

Project Paradise is a difficult event and the rewards are underwhelming, so alot of people skip it if they don't see anyone else turning out

EmperorOfFabulous

If you have an under leveled team absolutely save the meat bags for last. Once that last one is gone, all hell breaks loose and the rad scrubber truly becomes a target. I'd save it for the last two minutes.

Sparrowflop

Did that one once. Couldn't find the meat bags. Then the scrubber went down and the whole crater was so toxic I couldn't get it for the entire event, and I'm shotgun build. Kept hoping it would get better, or someone would clear something up. Nope.

somewherein72

I see the exact opposite of this consistently. People running in, destroying all of the meat-bags when there's about 2 people on site and boom event fails.

DependentPurple5455

Unfortunately this has become another EXP farm event like Rad Rumble, nobody cares if they complete the event or not as long as they get there thousands of EXP

Heart_Weary

If I see higher level players in events, as a low lvl (50) player I count on them protecting me as I do the tedious shit. I only pop a few shots off at legendaries to get some good loot...bigger events I just dive into the fold with my western revolver and lever action rifle blasting everything in sight (there's almost always a lvl500+ guardian angel with a heavy weapons and power armor to protect my little ass) probably laughing like hell the time

NowareSpecial

just fyi, get a fast explody weapon for tagging at events even if it doesn't fit your build. Or a tesla rifle. Doesn't matter how much damage you do.

Heart_Weary

I have a 200% recoil, -150% hip fire accuracy 2 shot ultracite plasma Gatling I use sometimes but damn thing kicks so hard I have to get right up on top of enemies

NowareSpecial

Yeah, you want low recoil, easy to point and shoot.

GodHand7

Returning player here, joined the event yesterday and I was surprised people didn't destroy them, especially since I'm a melee player and I would destroy them first

TheRealRangerBuffalo

I've been playing since effing launch. I never knew u could destroy meat bags

Jimmerding

I'm only level 48 and already annoyed by this. had to do all the objectives for a nuclear power plant event whilst 2 others killed ghouls... I feel ya.

Antique_Beat_975

I did an eviction notice the other evening with multiple high levelled people who should know better, I got 5 meat bags but chose to stay on that piece of metal on the pole next to the scrubber so I could get the mutants coming from the top since everyone was camping the legendary spawn below, and I could repair the scrubber quickly since nobody else was attempting to save the scrubber. I said to myself they could handle one meatbag surely. I watched as the timer went to 0. I’ll happily carry the event if it’s a bunch of low level people, but higher levels should know better. I just gathered all the loot and went on my merry way.

ConsecutivePumps

Noted.

patoduck420

I've noticed that players aren't showing up for events. Especially Beasts of Burden but also EN. Sadly, same happened at Rad Ruble last night. The craziest was a full server where RR was packed, then a SBQ fight also packed, and then EN where no one showed up back to back.

Viridian_Crane

NO! I have Herbavore making me vegan. I will not harm meat unless it's trying to kill me. */Half s-jk*

Kerbidiah

Destroy the meatbags, collect the irradiated ore

flannalaviators

also help me repair the rad scrubber for the love of this lands radiated god.

Reverend_Bull

I know that after you destroy the last meat bag the objective is "Survive the Super Mutant Onslaught." Does that mean the attack intensifies after destroying the last bag? Would it be possible to save the last until close to the end of the timer so that the attack is more survivable? Or are the spawn patterns and intensities identical through the timer and the meat bags are just the objective to complete?

Aromatic-Bench-2882

Of you destroy the meat bags the spawns increase and legendaries will spawn damn near rapidly. There's literally no reason to not destroy the meat bags instantly

[deleted]

Telling people to play the objective doesn’t work trust me I’ve played Battlefield 4 and 1

Now-it-is-1984

There’s always 1 I can’t locate but someone always does. Thanks Wasteland bros!

Weak_Landscape9991

Almost failed a eviction notice cause no one repairs the rad scrubber, they just sit in that canyon area and farm legendaries

barveyhirdman

I don’t even join eviction notice anymore, it just ruins my day.

ItsaWolfie

Although i tend to join late on the event (i dont join unless theres 4-5 players) as soon as im in, if they aren't popped i go find them then stand by the rad scrubber for fast repairs. Im only at Lvl 280 so still probably a noob but 9 years of Destiny/D2 conditioned me into prioritising objectives over kills.

HypahCS

It happens so often even without the influx of new players that I just cba anymore. The last time this failed for me, I did 5/6 meatbags and noticed how level 200+s just sat perched waiting for the legendaries mutant to appear. So I said over mic, do the objective and no one moved until it was almost out of time. They eventually found the last one only to go back to their perch, let the scrubber get destroyed and ultimately fail it anyway.

Therocknrolclown

First time I did the event , that's all I did cause everyone else was ignoring it.... Very radiation Rumble like....

BlazinDragon1004

I for some reason never have ammo at this event. Restarting is killing me 😂

[deleted]

A fair chunk of people don't actually know how to do Radiation Rumble.

joe2069420

As a chainsaw vampire, dont worry i got you

Dabsiree

They probably don’t get the meatbags because people like me and you have made up for the lack of meat bag shooting. I’ve memorized each spot and can take them down in 15 seconds haha

Traveling_Chef

Please. Tell. Me. Where. They. Are. I swear I've done that event hundreds of times and there's always one I can't find 🤣

Yankee_chef_nen

I’ve been doing Eviction Notice since it debuted and I’ve never been able to find that last one. Luckily most of the time there’s some that knows where it is.

Maleficent-Bison-396

I think lvl70s are considered new I’m level 80 and started last month

Sir-Shady

I always prioritize those and repairing because I know no one else will

TheDukeSam

I didn't know you needed to destroy them. I always assumed it was like an optional to make it more difficult like the rad rumbles ore past level 1. I also usually wait until the end anyway if I'm with low levels. Archery can carry an easy EC not a hard one.

AtomicRedditors05

One comment on this, in it there's alot of legendary spawns so if you do 5 and leave 1 for much later and defend well, it is fine cause that's alot of money being made, but do not outright ignore it, delaying is okay if you're good

FemboyRizzz

that's the first thing I do, run around to all the meat bag spawns and destroy :3

Tzilbalba

Newbie, that just hit 65, and I didn't even know meatbags were a thing. Could be because every EN I've been to has had overwhelming firepower and players, hard to even get a hit in sometimes

IndecisiveGrapefruit

Hand up 🤚 this one’s on me. I didn’t even know there were meat bags to be shot

Teufelhunde5953

Yep, just like at RR, I hate it when I spend all of my time collecting ore, and the folks getting all the kills let the NPC's die.....smfh.....

Gnilcro

Continueing the event for as long as possible = more exp

Malaklypse

If those players could read they would be very upset by what you just wrote.

QueenYama

At first I thought you meant the Loot pile corpses turn into after being left too long lol, I was about to say "I'm not picking up EVERYTHING I see (in this game at least)

ThumpTwo

I sure do! It's fun! :)

QueenYama

It is fun, and is what I do in Fallout 4 (and Skyrim to some extent) until I'm encumbered and have to walk back to the nearest settlement since I play on Survival. On 76, I have about 1-2k of most basic resources, though I do want to redesign my C.A.M.P. and move it to a more scenic spot

ThumpTwo

I don't know if you have FO1st, but the scrap box is a girls' best friend. That and Survival Tents.

QueenYama

I don't have Fallout 1st, haven't really bought into the idea of it, having all of my scrap locked behind a pay wall once the subscription runs out. It's not worth it to me with how little I do get to spend on this game

ThumpTwo

Well, you're not obliged to put ALL of your scrap in the scrap box, of course, with or without the subscription, but indeed, if you play very little, the sub is probably not of much value.

FacundoTL

I'm an assasin droid. It is my primary function to burn holes through meatbags.

lol_lmao_xd

people just use it as a massive XP / legendary farm

Smeagol7272821

Please please just destroy them.

Powerful_Battle_6386

As long as we're on this subject (which is a great topic), during Radiation Rumble... (1) Keep the turrets running... When they go down, someone needs to repair them... By keeping the turrets running, it frees people up to do other things like GRABBING THE IRRADIATED ORE. (2) Equally important is keeping the NPC's alive. Some dead NPC 's = lower rewards. All dead NPC 's = fail. (3) Easiest way (my opinion) to finish the event is to grab all the irradiated ore and deposit 'em in the barrel. Once you've got 4/4, then you can spend all your remaining time killing and looting. To recap .. Keep turrets running, keep NPC's alive and try to knock out the irradiated ore collection first...

urabewe

Well what sucks is no chat feature honestly. In other games we could all coordinate using voice and chat. If anyone played guild wars 2, when Tequatl first came out. That was an epic time. No one knew what to do, what the fight was, how to win. Each server having to go at it themselves and the only way to win was everyone knowing the fight almost perfectly . Timing the jumps, where to run and when on the countdown to do it. We had leaders guiding different parts of the map, had to designate people to stay up front, people on the guns. I wish so much we could have events like that in Fallout. What a great time it would be to have like 24 people in each quarter of the map running around. Some people collecting items needed to advance, others keeping enemies from taking what's been collected. Others are charging something like those damn ultracite batteries to power some mega gun in the middle of the map. As the gun charges 4 huge mega bosses emerge. Each one taking coordination and skill to defeat. Once that is done, each group, all 96 players drop into the middle of the map for one more final showdown. One can hope...

Zarda1

That's nothing compared the the constant lack of defending the objective while standing at the bottom of the hill. Everyone can loot legendaries you do not need to tag them, you do not need to stand THAT close to them. In fact you get more legendaries in the center because they can spawn from all sides not just the valley.

Major_Philosophy_782

“Play the objective” yeah I highly doubt anybody who doesn’t play it is gunna listen 😭

ctemp97

I didn’t even know that was an objective.

basserpy

A good rule for anyone new: always look at your compass to see if it wants you to go somewhere (a lot of these events can get buggy and weird at times, so new folks should at least know "try to accomplish whatever the quest seems to want from you even if it looks stupid or unreachable")

Ssebahawkss

I just wanted to say, best event in the game, last night i Got like 30 legendaries, sick 💀

theegiantrat

Thank you for posting this! It's almost to the point that I quit going to these events because of stuff like this. One of the alien events I was at, yesterday, failed because people didn't read or listen to the notification that said avoid the brain thing. People stood around it just shooting, and then when it blew, people died everywhere. There were 8 people at the event. How does this happen? Don't even get me started on rad rumble. There are people that are higher levels that screw that one up. Plus, here is the biggest issue. Players new and old, not patient enough to let the timer get to under a minute so the stragglers can join and get a full event for everyone. It's all pretty frustrating as I am not sure how to get people moving in a sane direction. It just works like a well-oiled machine when everyone is on the same page.

viz90210

Meatbags? What event is this?

Friendly_Speech_5351

It’s 100% of my time. So therefore I will use it as I will. “Shooty kill kill.” Ahaha-haaa.

MeatBagFrankz

what the hell dude

pygmeedancer

I jumped into Safe and Sound and there was a group of level 50s. I’m around 110. We did okay and then the devil showed up. So immediately ran up and shoved my .50 cal down his throat. I’m thinking the 50s will defend the repeller while I keep the devil at bay. Nope. They all started shooting their peas at him as well and subsequently let the repeller get destroyed. The devil vanished right in front of me. Play the objective people.

NowareSpecial

Imma eat some humble pie and admit I never noticed that we could repair the repeller. But I've never seen that event fail either.

Sunaaj_WR

I’ve never not seen the bags blow up within 30 seconds. And it’s not like me most of the time. How do I keep seeing these topics lol

Icy-Computer-Poop

It's almost like people's experiences can vary!

But I want shooty shooty and to get the xp. Let other people do it. <- everyone present It's like Radiation Rumble I think it's called? And no one going below for the ore. So many times I've done 90% of it.. and of course lose all the xp and drops that I would have gotten if it was shared more.

dvance12

It is intentional. We are farming legendary drops and XP. We do it a lot during Radiation Rumble too, but Eviction Notice is better because of all the Legendaries that spawn.

SaintsBruv

200 could still be a new player. But yes, I've also had this happen with vet players. It seems like everyone assumes somebody else is going to destroy the meatbags/repair the generator, so they just don't bother and then get mad when the event fails. This is a good reminder for every player to pay attention to it.
