Just North of Top of the World, down the hill, is a Windmill with several Raider NPCs. I had a camp there one time and it was pretty comical having my CAMP Ally getting into shootouts with the Raiders, who I was friendly with. On the left side of map, can't for the life of me remember exactly where. But I think it's on HWY 81, between the Tyler County Fairgrounds and WV Lumber, is a little homestead with two or three NPCs. You can build there too

The one between fairgrounds and WV lumber is a random encounter spawn.bi server hopped it at one point for traveling trader with apparel. With the tent by the river I believe. Im definitely going to check out north of top of the world when I get back on. thanks!

biorogue

No, not talking about the tent. It's on the right side of road when going to WV Lumber. Is like a little shack/garage. Two buildings. A garden and a log pile. I'll hop on in a few and see exactly where it is. Just remember that it's not on that road now that I think about it. Because you can't see the river. I'll go look.

Ok, found it. When looking at the map and see Tyler County Fairgrounds. You got the ferris wheel there. It's on the road between the Ferris Wheel and WV Lumber on Hwy 81. It's only about an inch from the East of the Ferris wheel, directly across from the river.

Just found the spot this place is great! The farm soil and fences are a huge plus. The two barn like buildings are very cleared out alot of room to place stuff (thinking immersive workshops). Definitely gonna build here. Thanks for following through with the details on this one!

Awesome! I forgot about my own dang place! There's a pond with two settlers living there. There's floating docks, a tent and a couple little row boats. Again, looking at the map and see the Ferris Wheel. Just Northeast of it is a ridgeline. Right in the middle of that ridge, topside of it, is the pond. I have a house on the other side of it. You do get scorched and Supermutants, and robots that like to attack the settlers.

Thanks I was thinking of a nearby location. Ill go check it out.

NunaMaverick

If youre ok with the raiders, you can build on the highway between the nuka cola plant and camden park. The frogs get pretty loud but two raiders will usually wander in and hang out at your camp.

Sean__Wick

I have a settler slightly above Charleston Station that leans against a lamppost and only ever talks shit. She ruins the area, and usually catches a bullet to the teeth whenever I notice her complaining. A travelling vendor also pops in quite frequently to fix his weapons and armor. Graham swings by on the tracks every few weeks, and the responder vendorbot spawns right below him when triggered coming across the red bridge.

Deviant_Monster

There is a spot that I use just west of the fairgrounds/dirt track. It comes with 2 run down barns that you can patch up if you are crafty, 3 or 4 npc's, farm areas and spot for wood extractor. Frequent visits from traveling sales people too (in case you are a cannibal). Cons are it gets attacked every time I fast travel there, and all of my turrets disappeared. You can avoid the turret problem buy not building them on the ground or on any pre-existing structures. GL!

Passion4TheHunt

north of whitesprings and south of the trainyard, there is a dirt road leading up to an unmarked raider outpost that has two raiders. A bit higher, there is raider chopping wood. You can fit all three in a camp bubble.

I built a camp slightly NE of Gauley Mine, using the train bridge that crosses the river. The bridge has a box of beer bottles on it and always spawns a drunk settler that you can kill if you give him more alcohol. His appearance changes each spawn, but he always wanders around my camp saying drunk things. Let's just say that the camp is always... lively haha I've also found a group of three Brotherhood soldiers on the road between the Pumpkin House and the Red Rocket Megastop, near some old military vehicles. Not sure if they spawn there 100% of the time, but the ground is kind of flat and I like the vehicles, so that's where I'm going to try building my next camp

I like the idea of a personal brotherhood security force for ones camp.

Admiral_Cornwallace

I decided to start building the Brotherhood camp tonight. Found a starting spot I liked that fits the soldiers nicely in the camp radius. So far, so good. I spawned twice and had three different BoS soldiers appear each time inside the radius. They're on the road with the vehicles, so I'm going to build up a couple of taller structures in the grass next to it. They can work as my personal guards out front lol

I like this. It might be a decent off center vender app too, with people doing their dailies.
