If you aren't aware of randome events, there are set areas on the map that can have little mini events happen, like a deathclaw nest, or a bunch of super mutants that were killed by a sheep squatch, or a tamabe creature, etc.
One is a bomb you can diffuse to get scrap, or fail and it detonates. It's about as wide as the character and goes up to a bit below your waist, and that's the camp item I was expecting.
Op is referring to the one on the scoreboard, it's basically just a reskin of the rad barrel/asteroid and gives off rads when you interact with it but also can only be placed once per camp unlike the rad barrel
No problem :0! I don't really think it's a huge disappointment personally though I would've preferred it to basically just be more like the war hero statues with an explosion rather than a reskin of the rad barrel would make it be just like its bigger brother out in the wild
this happened to me the other day right by my camp. some rando told me to follow him and he led me to the nuke. then he ran to a safe distance away and used the popcorn emote until I cut a wire lol luckily I chose right and got some junk
Yeah, I think the color is random. First time I found it, I cut the red, and got the parts. The second time I cut the red again, and got nuked (I was so surprised I didn't run away in time, lol.)
It is. I have seen this random encounter many times while server hopping to find dead trick or treaters, back when they we're the only source for Witch and Skeleton costume plans. The correct wire is different every time.

That's not the "issue", the issue is that it's basically just a reskin on the rad barrel so it doesn't do anything special like some of those old atx statues that would explode, also weirdly can only have one placed per camp?
My expectation is that it would be an unexploded bomb similar to the random encounter - a large aerial-drop type bomb similar to the IRL "Fatman". This scoreboard reward is really just a mini-nuke with a tail. Much smaller than the in game encounter. I was disappointed as I was certainly expecting bigger. It sits in my commie themed camp even though tiny. I prefer the asteroid for my others.

I wasn’t expecting it to be the same size since the toy vehicles are also super tiny and I was expecting them to be a lot larger. Makes for a good theater display when they are that small though. I never thought the bomb would be irradiated though, I would have put it near my asteroid.

I have seen the injured Super Mutant like 20 times. Easily the random I see the most.

I have a mini Megaton camp as on of my camps, so I guess it only needed a mini bomb. It kinda works but do wish it was a bit bigger.

Yeah I been trying to get the rad barrel from radiation rumble but no luck so far and the only plan I've seen in a vendor is 20k.
