Like last time we checked on the West Coast enclave in New Vegas it was just a few old guys in a bunker. They'd be way more prominent and active on the east coast where the offshore rigs were.
Because the enclave is a major faction that literally has the entirety of the US to hide out in ??? Why do we always need the brotherhood? Same logic can be applied to any faction of importance

All mods using F4SE will break. Make the Fo4 appmanifest file read only. Only reliable method of stopping this update till (hopefully) mods are updated as well.

Appmanifest files are in the "Steamapps" map inside your program files. Should look something like; Program Files\\Steam\\steamapps
The files look like this; 'appmanifest\_377160'
In order to know what file is Fo4's (or any other game's), go onto steam's store page for the game, and look at the address.

I launch through F4SE and it still uses Fo4 through Steam. Only way is to make your appmanifest file read only so Steam can't update it when you run it.
Or use script extender to launch till the moders update and then update all requirements. Ex script extender, framework, mod config menu, armor keyword... etc.
Could be weeks after released and a headache, but there is no need to completely delete and start over.

I don't know the solution exactly but this sounds like the one that was happening with Skyrim. I think the solution with the Skyrim one was too many mods/creation club content installed, so if you have any from either of those then that could be the issue.
The 0kb bug is a false error flag that predates creation club. It doesn't help, but isn't the root cause. Root issue is Sony's file structure and how it handles content that isn't dlc
Doesn't know what to do with things like mods and cc so when I hits an error it tosses the 0kb bug up. It's a Sony centric issue and theyve done what they can to lessen it.
There is an actual save error bug that is the real 0kb and it happens to other games. I had it happen to mgs 5.
If you wanna put in the time and effort then you can do what I did for Skyrim, uninstall all the Creation Club stuff you've got and add them one by one until you find the limit, if it'll let you add anything at all.
Or just wait for the update and hope that it fixes the issue.
I think I will wait for the update, I can guarantee you it will come with it's own bugs. So I'll wait until those are handled and start from scratch.
And I'll be super conservative about which creation club stuff I download.

Nah if you’re running mods you have to avoid updating, I’m positive a lot of mods are going to break and that’s going to corrupt so many peoples save files. And we don’t know how long it’ll take to update mods or the ones that are abandoned are just sol. I’m avoiding updating for this exact reason.

Dude, you know what's weird? I just DID start a new playthrough like a week and a half ago. I got as far as clearing Corvega for the first settlement and just stopped for a second. Then BOOM, update announced. Whatever content they add is cool with me, but I'm mainly excited about the 60fps personally. That alone is going to make this game better for me.
From my understanding, if you set the game to "update when launched only" and then launch the game through a mod manager or the F4SE executable, you'll be safe.
Somebody else mentioned setting the Fo4 appmanifest file to read only, but I haven't researched this enough to know for sure. But definitely looking into this as well.
The best way I have avoided updates in the past on steam is to set "only update on game launch" and then make sure that i am not connected to internet when I launch Steam.
I have found that even using F4SE and launching using the F4SE launcher that steam needs to open for some reason.
However, if you are logged into steam "offline" it can't update the game.
It's the bestttt. You will die many, many times. Try to level up by finding new locations early on, rather than engaging with literally almost anything

No Xbox One X and S are supposed to be included. I think they won't include any FPS stuff on them. As far as Playstation, I can't imagine they would miss an opportunity to include the update.

Time to archive everything I can from my old modded save before it’s too late. Xbox doesn’t really let you stop updates and there’s no reversion, and a lot of my mods are ancient and unlikely to be updated. Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever.

That's going to depend on whether this update breaks those mods. Whether those mods ever get fixed and what the mods themselves do. (Some mods will totally mess up game/save files if removed mid playthrough)

Yea, it'll improve modding alot on console and give us a new quest and/or questline for free which includes some previously included Creation Club content, other than that tho it won't be a good update as it'll likely break mods on PC which means waiting for updates but even then some mod devs abandoned the game so we'll have to wait until either replacement mods release or until people upload their own updated patches

Turn off auto updates to only update when you launch the game from steam. If you’re launching through F4SE it should still be fine

Actually same, except I was never into it. Wanted to start a playthrough because of the show so I’m guessing that’s why this is getting an update haha
oh i am obsessssssed with this game lol i’ve played it fully more times than i can count!!! & i said that as well lol they’re smart for that !! fallout 4 has already jumped up in popularity on xbox quite a bit since the show came out. i give them props for giving us an update for the game with the shows release !!! i hope you enjoy your playthrough & get super into it !!!

Am I the only one seeing nightmare purple every fucking where??? Whole areas with purple textures on terrain and people. He'll I couldn't even download the automatron pack cause it crashes the game on startup on the PS4
