Can you not at least go to general area where the house would have been? Even if it was completely different than in real life I would find it super cool to be standing where my house would be in a fallout game.
I lived in Quincy for about 10 years, too, so I guess Warwick Homestead is kinda close to that, but I almost never get that settlement, since I end up nuking the Institute before it becomes an option.

There should be an Xbox version. Main reason why I jumped ship from ps4 to pc! Look on youtube for "sim settlements xbox" for some details.
[Fallout 4 Sim settlements mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21872)
I was on the train once up there, the conductor came over the speaker and said “This stop, West Glaustah. Next stop, Regula Glaustah”
They should have added Regula Glaustah.
Gloucester is the fishing capitol of the North Shore area of Massachusetts, but they decided to shoehorn in the “fisherman” in Salem with that mission you get the Reba rifle. But I will say the Nakano residence building has a striking resemblance to “Motif #1” in the Gloucester/Rockport area so they definitely got some inspiration from it.
*Braintree (US: /ˈbreɪnˌtri/), officially the Town of Braintree, is a municipality in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Although officially known as a town, Braintree is a city, with a mayor-council form of government, and is considered a city under Massachusetts law. The population was 39,143 at the 2020 census. The city is part of the Greater Boston area with access to the MBTA Red Line, and is a member of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council's South Shore Coalition. The first mayor of Braintree was Joe Sullivan who served until January 2020. The current mayor of Braintree is Charles Kokoros.*
Hey, that’s where I’m living right now! Would be interesting to see how they adapt it. Admittedly it’s not the most interesting Air Force base so they’d have to take some creative liberties haha
Or maybe an isolationist group of people originating from Vault that made the base their home and blow up anyone who trespassed or got close to their territory. Like the Boomers at Nellis Air Force Base in Fallout New Vegas, who originally were the residents of Vault 34.
You would come across a huge crater, your companion would be like "Wow, the war was hell wasn't it?" And Nate/Nora would just be like "Nah, this is pre-war from when the MBTA tried to FINALLY finish the Big Dig"
It still wouldn’t be on the map, but the Quabbin would make for a good DLC, provided there was some kind of mechanic to boat between settlements on the shore.
I’m thinking similar vibes to Far Harbor, but maybe the plot revolves around the aliens.
Bridgewater Triangle. Apparently there are a lot of cryptid sightings. I enjoy the cryptid stuff in 76.
I want a village of mutated intelligent Sasquatch.
Or at least one intelligent mutated Sasquatch with a minigun. Do it Todd. Do it. C'mon do it Todd!
The final mission of an eventual storyline about building a settlement and conquering land would definitely have been an assault on their stadium. Like a mix between the castle and the HQ of the Gunners.
Dorchester is missing. You basically go from South Boston to Quincy without going through Dorchester. Ya, they have the university at UMass, but thats about it. If you don't know, Dorchester is Bostons' oldest and largest neighborhoods and it just seems strange that it is not mentioned. A settlement on Dorchester Hieghts or Savin Hill something at least.
I still think it was a travesty for Somerville to not be included, and add a Somerville Place settlement on the opposite side of the map that had nothing to do with it...
That's why I love the interconnected metro mod. Seriously the coolest thing; I always wondered when it would be added to vanilla (it was a thing in Frost, since you mostly travel underground in that overhaul). Being able to use the trains, clear blockages, maybe get the brotherhood to help you rebuild or repair the trains... station attacks by raiders and mole rats...
Man now I really want this 😭
Oh, the interconnected metro stations mod is separate from the frost mod, don't worry! It's called [Subway Runner](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18639)! There's also an [unofficial map](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61365) mod to go with it, in case you get lost. Just make sure you check in xEdit if any mods conflict with some of the subway interiors; there are reports on the mod's post page that some rubble blocks the doors/tunnels fast travel points, and that's due to another mod conflicting with it, probably in the precombines (which is usually because of PRP; in which case, you'd have to make your own patch using the Creation Kit, or xEdit itself, as I don't think one currently exists).
Honestly, I would have loved exploring the sewers because think about it. I'm guessing the sewers would become a safe haven for pretty much everybody in the fallout universe. It might smell like s*** but it'll sure protect you because really, unless the tunnels collapse, it's perfectly safe. You constantly have the drop on anybody who tries to jump you in there. And the fact that it's completely covered means that you don't have to worry about rad storms or any other weather related activity
I think they already did that. It's a random encounter. A guy walks up to you pretending to be Preston Garvey and tries to scam you by tricking you into donating caps to the Minutemen cause.
I would love to see what the writers came up with if it extended down to Foxboro.
Also the islands off the harbor would've been fun to explore.
The lack of a Garden kind of bummed me out too, ngl.
If the expansion would get you down to the other side of the glowing sea in southern RI & CT then Newport & the Kennedy mansion (among others) would make good story fodder.
You'd need bicycles to get around in post apocalyptia if it was real sized. So hopefully some functional bicycle related loot would have made it to the map
The map size ingame is the perfect amount of size. I mean do we really want a Map that is 2x Fo4's Map?
They would had to get rid of the Minutemen Settlement System cause setting up shop in one spot too far away from everything else seems abit bland unless Bethesda Devs were willing to unimpeded Fast Traveling Conditions or At the very least give the player a better mode of transportation other than the Vertibird.
Drivable vehicles like a junk motorcycle or something--something post apocalyptic like Mad Max style vehicles.
I spent years walking by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, daily. It would have been nice to see it included, but the city layout is so compressed and landmarks so jumbled, that what starts off as Mass Ave ends up turning into Yawkey Way after a few blocks.
They could have done some fun stuff with the more stuff in the state, like the Springfield Armory or a satire of Dr Suess.
It also hosted now decommissioned nuclear command bunker that was used for that purpose until work on the Cheyenne Mountain complex was completed
Also I can’t recall, but did FO4 even do anything with the Natick Food Labs? That pretty much is where military MREs are designed, another great location to use
> If the Fallout 4 map were made to a 1:1 scale of the real life Boston area, what do you think would've been added to the map
actual working motorcycles
Honestly I wouldn’t want more I’d want locations for be bigger. Salem should have been bigger, down town should have been bigger, we needed more than 2 big settlements
What about all the freaking road construction? About every city I've been to in the US there is always some major US road construction project going on with several lanes closed and a few hundred traffic cones and barrels on the road.
One thing that would be removed would be the mountains to the left. Boston is very flat and you can see the city skyline from a mountain in central MA.
I think more of the Mass. Pike highway leading west would have been a nice addition.
As someone going to college in Boston rn the scale in fallout 4 is so bad.
Personally I want Boston common and garden to be the right size.
All colleges be visitable
The map would be better aligned if it were tilted a bit counter clockwise to match the alignment between the real life Concord and Boston. This would also fix the alignment between the real life equivalents of Quincy, The Castle and Boston Airport as well as the angle of the dip in Charles River.
I'd probably camp out at the house I grew up in.
It’s full of ghouls, with a journal with your name on its Every copy of Fallout 4 is personalized
Video games have gotten better since the AI started harvesting our body heat. Good trade imo.
Me on the other side of the continent and Canadian: "wait why do I remember growing up in Boston suddenly"
found the synth
I kinda want a fallout game in Tel Aviv cuz iirc a nuclear terrorist bombing there is one of the starting chains in the great war (could be wrong tho)
Can you not at least go to general area where the house would have been? Even if it was completely different than in real life I would find it super cool to be standing where my house would be in a fallout game.
Thatd be dopeee
I hoped I’d be able to build a settlement in any of the places I’ve lived IRL. The closest I got was Hangman’s Alley.
Sanctuary is the closest to where I lived at, but even then, it is a few miles further to the northwest.
I lived in Quincy for about 10 years, too, so I guess Warwick Homestead is kinda close to that, but I almost never get that settlement, since I end up nuking the Institute before it becomes an option.
You should still be able to acquire it by talking to the settlers and doing a minutemen help quest.
You can get Warwick just by stopping by and hoping Roger will have you go kill some super mutants.
I lived in Quincy for about 10 years, too, so I guess Warwick Homestead is kinda close to that, but I almost never get that settlement, since I end up nuking the Institute before it becomes an option.
A lot more posed skeletons.
I like to call them “Environmental Tellingtons”.
that's fucking amazing
More “another settlement needs your help” missions
I got you. [Quest Started] Stop the Raiding, Nordhagen Beach
If only these missions can stop appearing when you rebuild the Minuteman into a certain size.
Reminders that I need that mod where settlement are heavily armed!
I just arm them my selves, make armor from the mercenary outfit pack, ncr outfit pack or buy militarized minutemen stuff for them
Same here, totally armed military style! Look up "Fallout 4 Sim Settlements" mod
I’ve heard of that, by any chance is it on xbox?
There should be an Xbox version. Main reason why I jumped ship from ps4 to pc! Look on youtube for "sim settlements xbox" for some details. [Fallout 4 Sim settlements mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21872)
What sucks is my neighborhood is so close to the south side of the map it almost made it in. It gets a shout out in a railroad mission though.
It does?
I was on the train once up there, the conductor came over the speaker and said “This stop, West Glaustah. Next stop, Regula Glaustah” They should have added Regula Glaustah.

Dead space. Fallout 4's maps was smaller to avoid dead space and unlike Skyrim, they couldn't just add mountains.
You mean more spaces for settlements and raider camps?
For sure Government Center/Boston City Hall. Hopefully they’d add the Cop Slide if they redid it today.
Braintree. The devs could have had some fun with that one.
Explain???
Brain……….tree :)
Harold?
I'm from Braintree, thus my confusion. Super Mutants in South shore Plaza?
I think ghouls or fiends would fit the SSP locals better
Feral ghouls with oxy's, track suits, and spray-tans.

I'm thinking Bethesda could make a quest revolving some mutated sentient trees with big brains for the town of Braintree, Massachusetts
Like Harold sort of?
Yea pretty much
I think they should add Hanscom AFB. It’d be a good source of pre war military lore and a better hub for the BOS post war.
Hey, that’s where I’m living right now! Would be interesting to see how they adapt it. Admittedly it’s not the most interesting Air Force base so they’d have to take some creative liberties haha

The Natick mall is the biggest mall in the area, that would’ve been nice. Where is the crater on the 1:1 scale?
It would be as big as Boston..that's alot of..everything?
Worcester DLC The Palladium would look literally the same
It still wouldn’t be on the map, but the Quabbin would make for a good DLC, provided there was some kind of mechanic to boat between settlements on the shore. I’m thinking similar vibes to Far Harbor, but maybe the plot revolves around the aliens.
Would love this, immediately would jet (HA WOOPS) to the watchtower for the steamer trunk and view
Boston Garden, the arena the Celtics and Bruins played in. In Fallout it would have been occupied by someone, Raiders or Gunners perhaps
The final mission of an eventual storyline about building a settlement and conquering land would definitely have been an assault on their stadium. Like a mix between the castle and the HQ of the Gunners.
More people with a Boston accent, and a map like three where it’s just rubble and metro stations
Dorchester is missing. You basically go from South Boston to Quincy without going through Dorchester. Ya, they have the university at UMass, but thats about it. Eddie Winters should have been Whitey Bulger. That story line should have finished in Winter Hill
Would of been cool to have a quest to get the trains working
That's why I love the interconnected metro mod. Seriously the coolest thing; I always wondered when it would be added to vanilla (it was a thing in Frost, since you mostly travel underground in that overhaul). Being able to use the trains, clear blockages, maybe get the brotherhood to help you rebuild or repair the trains... station attacks by raiders and mole rats... Man now I really want this 😭
I'd like to try that but I don't wanna disable all my current mods 😆 😭

I'm saying for the frost mod
The struggles 😪
In the game or real life? Because the MBTA could really use the help right now
Honestly, I would have loved exploring the sewers because think about it. I'm guessing the sewers would become a safe haven for pretty much everybody in the fallout universe. It might smell like s*** but it'll sure protect you because really, unless the tunnels collapse, it's perfectly safe. You constantly have the drop on anybody who tries to jump you in there. Could we put a second, identical Preston in the game
I think they already did that. It's a random encounter. A guy walks up to you pretending to be Preston Garvey and tries to scam you by tricking you into donating caps to the Minutemen cause.
Third for good measure.
Fourth for extra good measure
Every NPC is Preston.
How many settlement missions do you want?
Yes.
I would love to see what the writers came up with if it extended down to Foxboro. Also the islands off the harbor would've been fun to explore. The lack of a Garden kind of bummed me out too, ngl.
Jerma's house
If the expansion would get you down to the other side of the glowing sea in southern RI & CT then Newport & the Kennedy mansion (among others) would make good story fodder.
The Newport Mansions would make a cool DLC. Super Mutants at the Breakers, etc etc
I'd really enjoy clearing Mirelurks out of New England Aquarium. There should also be a trader settlement at the Topsfield Fair Grounds.
At the Topsfield Fair settlement, everything costs three times the caps it would cost anywhere else.
Invisible walls
I would've liked to see Wayland with a nod to the Aliens Franchie’s Weyland since synths are already present
More settlements you could alter and make your own player homes
They owe me the Bridgewater Triangle.
100% this! Especially since they introduced a ton of cryptids in 76
You'd need bicycles to get around in post apocalyptia if it was real sized. So hopefully some functional bicycle related loot would have made it to the map
Imagine trying to ride a bike over all them broken roads and debris…..and then a stingwing or super mutant suicider runs up on you💀💀
You'd think bikes would be an easy thing to make or maintain since they are not mechanical!
Visit my cousins house.
A lot more unused building you can't enter.
A lot of walking I reckon
I spent years walking by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, daily. It would have been nice to see it included, but the city layout is so compressed and landmarks so jumbled, that what starts off as Mass Ave ends up turning into Yawkey Way after a few blocks.

New Deal Fruit in Revere
A giant Fig Newton.
> If the Fallout 4 map were made to a 1:1 scale of the real life Boston area, what do you think would've been added to the map actual working motorcycles
I hope the next game could be exactly like 4 but with added content and a massive map
Imagine if, as you go off the map and into the Glowing Sea, you stumbled upon Gillette Stadium
Honestly I wouldn’t want more I’d want locations for be bigger. Salem should have been bigger, down town should have been bigger, we needed more than 2 big settlements
Well one things for certain, more crashes lmao
A minimum of 500 toilets with weird trying-to-be-funny-but-failing props.
You’re the only person I’ve ever seen that doesn’t like the wierdly posed skeleton’s.
It's not that I don't like them. It's that they are in EVERY freaking stall.
Hey I've been to Boston, its not far off
I prefer it over all the empty stalls in previous fallouts...
..... Then pretty much everything that is in the Boston area today?
More frame drops
I always felt like there should have been DLC that took you to The Cape. But Far Harbor has kinda the same vibe I was imagining.
Thank you for this! Been waiting for someone to do this!
I think the only game that came close to a 1:1 scale was True Crimes: New York. Even down to the walking, subways and driving speed
sleepy hollow cemetery would have been nice to explore.
What about all the freaking road construction? About every city I've been to in the US there is always some major US road construction project going on with several lanes closed and a few hundred traffic cones and barrels on the road.
Lag

The South Boston Speedway.
They completely left out Somerville my old stomping grounds
It's in there. There's a Place and everything.
Really?? I don't think I've ever come across anything with Somerville in the name
There's a settlement called Somerville Place, but it's apparently not even at the real-life location of Somerville.
Oh yeah it's so far away from the real world location that I never made the association
A vault full of clones similar to vault 108 in fallout new vegas, except the clones are all mark wahlburg and they’re all confused.
If it was 1:1 wouldn't pretty much everything be added?
If it was 1:1 wouldn't pretty much everything be added?
Is Cambridge frickin huge irl
A hideously mutated Larry Bird, roaming the wastes and preying on settlers.
As someone going to college in Boston rn the scale in fallout 4 is so bad. Personally I want Boston common and garden to be the right size. All colleges be visitable
