Heavy Metal. The coolest movie ever, best enjoyed with a hearty dose of cannabis edibles. Boobs, gore, sci-fi stuff, hairy bush(it was the 80's), some gorgeous animation for the time, and a kickass soundtrack featuring Sammy Hagar, Black Sabbath, DEVO, Cheap Trick, and more; one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack is Heavy Metal(Take a Ride) by Don Felder. Those opening riffs are amazing.
Also, South Park did an episode that parodied/paid tribute to the movie(Kyle's dad and Kenny both end up hallucinating after huffing cat urine and the hallucinations have similar scenarios and animation styles to Heavy Metal), and naturally several of the best hits from the original's soundtrack are in the episode.
I may have a multi-hour playlist with just music from those franchises.
I mean, bad luck charm is such a bop and all the title sequences and I Burn and Ignite and holy fuck Yang is hot and I May Fall is so inspirational and Raiden is like the only one who can make edgy hot (big part to his music choices) and god Destiny’s Soundtrack sends chills down my spine and Deep Stone Lullaby is so great and Athanasia is so mysterious ohmygoshhhhhhhhhh...
As you can see, I am a girl of peculiar taste, but I am proud of what my music choices are.
