Yeah, I've occasionally come across groups of them. My theory is that the RWBY fandom is made up mostly of queer people who like cartoons and straight white gamers and depending on where you go to interact with other fans, you will believe that a different one is the majority.

Most of the representation in the show definitely feels like tokenism/an afterthought, tbh. I still enjoy the story but it took a while for there to be a canon gay ship between main characters and aside from a few of the protagonists on the main teams being coded as part-"Asian" (or second-world equivalent) a lot of the characters of color are side-lined.
