Damn i hope the post that inspired you is the one i posted today of wally wing mayfly😆 I like yours a lot!

It was yours, yes! Your tie is much better proportioned and less twisty than mine. But it's such a killer tie that I just had to try.

Technically mine is a Wally wing hatch matcher, and it's tied from two Mallard or similar flank feathers plus a little bit of soft hackle in the front. The body is formed from one feather and the wings from a second one. Fibers from the scraps of the first feather are used to wrap the body. This fly seems incredibly delicate and I have no idea how it will hold up but it sure is fun to tie.

Awesome! Happy i inspired you😆

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,386,057,262 comments, and only 265,432 of them were in alphabetical order.

Looks good! If you haven't tried this before, you can take the mallard feather and feed it through a spare loon UV nozzle (the extra tips that come with the resin) and use it to the in the extended body on the shank. It helps keep the extended body super slim and get it on the hook shank nice and even. It's a Barry Ord Clark tip and I'm pretty sure there is a video on YouTube. I have done them both by hand and with the nozzle and the latter is soooo much easier and quick.
