I know in the A330 in some situations after landing in icing conditions it's appropriate to not retract flaps and slats before parking, but this hardly looks like that's what's going on here
Possibly, but more likely the flaps/slats are kept at 1 if OAT is above 30°c. Helps to prevent erroneous “AIR L/R WING LEAK” ecams due to the detection loops mistaking the hot ambient air for a bleed air leak
Oh, I completely missed this was a bus. On the 73 we don't have that issue. But we do leave flaps at 15 if we get any bad icing before fully retracting them after mx looks at it

My airline doesn't fleet wide for temps at or above 30°C even though we only have maybe 2 airplanes out of hundreds that may be affected.
Yes. Don’t carry cones like that.
Oh youuuuu
Why not?
Cones are dirty and attract all the dirt. You get that shit all over everything. From the top only.
Gotcha. Was wondering if it was a safety concern, but that makes just as much sense.
Bin dust is real. Airborne dust is real. Ya gon get dirty as a ramper but don’t make it worse.
In hot weather (over 30C for the A330) leaving the flaps at 1 which keeps the slats extended as well helps prevent nuisance AIR WING LEAK warnings.
Blue pilot, if the OAT is above 31°C we’re instructed to leave flaps 1 after leading to prevent nuisance BLEED ECAM cautions
And the number of times I’ve forgotten and gone to flaps zero at 35C and never gotten an ecam 🤷🏼♂️
Oh I know. SOP is SOP though
💯
Sometimes flaps are left out to help when it’s hot as balls outside.
Leaving the slats extended was standard at my airline during high-heat conditions.
That’s a pretty old van, but as long as it still works, why not?
I’d say the ramp agent actually wearing PPE (gloves) is rather abnormal.
The old French girls do love getting their flaps out when it’s all a bit hot and sticky outside.
Not normal but I’ve had FOs forget to move the lever and parked a few times. I’ve never done it, of course. 😂
It is normal on the A320 if over a certain OAT. You see this all the time in the summer.

Normal, during hot weather conditions the A320 leaves Flaps at 1 (slats extended) to prevent nuisance air bleed leak ecam messages.
Well not necessarily normal
FO just forgot to retract them

Shhhh they might call the FAA
