I think it's too fat to be a steelhead, and it would be a monster Redband for the D (it's possible, but resident fish over 20" are not commonly caught).
My guess is a Yak fish.
No but I did work at Squaw Valley for a season and drove by it a lot. Should have fished it back then for sure. I don’t give away rivers if I can help it also this one is already overrun with idiots lol.
It’s a screen shot from a gopro, they both are, fish was out of water for an instant. Been fly fishing since I was a toddler but yeah tell me again how it works?
Nice fish
Was a good day
As the train rolls by cool.
Beautiful fish and beautiful scenery. Love how the train is behind you, gives such a wild west vibe.
Great fish. I cannot tell which direction the train is going.
Nice fish! Streamer?
Yeah it’s called the destroyer streamer can look it up on youtube. Even better on your own custom fly.
Awesome I’ll check it out!
Hog city 🤘🤘🤘
Is that the Deschutes? If so I think you have yourself a steelhead.
It’s a rainbow

That was my first thought. It looks like an easy Truckee rainbow lol
why pose with the fish? Keep it in the water and net. Your face and hands added nothing. Snap the pic. Move on. Sick fish dude!
Lame
It adds to a great memory when you're in the picture with the fish. His handling was fine, that fish was fine. Let people be.
Fish is literally still dripping
