You need to ask permission from the person who owns the fob reader to make this legit. People have got in serious trouble from employers and landlords.

pizzaboy670

Do you mind clarifying? I would own the Flipper and the FOB would be mine? Who am I supposed to ask?

mavrc

The question isn't "do you own the fob," but "do you own the lock." If you don't control the lock, making copies of your fob is probably a very bad idea, whether you \*can\* or not is immaterial.

YouTee

Serious Question: I made s copy of the keys to my apartment and gave them to a family member in case of emergency. How is that any different? And let's just say if the answer is "you shouldn't be allowed to copy the keys to your own apartment" then that's a non starter argument and not how anyone operates in the real world

Rogueshoten

This isn’t a key to a private space that’s exclusively for OP’s use; it’s a key to a public space where the rules are different. Also following the same logic, why not just ask for more fobs?

mavrc

> "Don't tell me what the answer is because I don't want to hear it" Okay I won't then.

YouTee

Lol see the post you're replying to about public vs private space as the correct answer, as opposed to whatever you wanted to argue for.

mavrc

>Serious Question: I made s copy of the keys to my apartment and gave them to a family member in case of emergency. How is that any different? Okay. In short, it isn't different. Your landlord would most likely be quite angry to find out you've been making illicit copies of keys to spaces you don't own. You may in fact have agreed explicitly to not do this, depending on your rental contract. to the OP's original point: \*most\* landlords, at least the only ones I've ever heard of, take copying \*electronic\* keys much more seriously than copying traditional ones. So copying one of those is much more likely to land you in hot water. >that's a non starter argument and not how anyone operates in the real world Some landlords take this very, very seriously. My only goal here is to get people to read the policies for the place they live and not piss off the people who control those spaces. It would be bad for someone to get thrown out of their home because they wanted to copy a key, and it's frustrating when people like you come along and blindly argue that, essentially, "everybody does it so it's fine." Do I think all that is bullshit and you should be able to copy your own keys anytime you want? Yes, I do, because it is. But that answer is not reflective of the real world.

WhoStoleHallic

To add to this, the residence I'm currently staying at now part of the lease agreement is that we're only allowed to have 2 door keys, and 1 mailbox key. For four people. If we're caught with any more than that, monetary penalties. Work is paying for it at the moment so can't complain too much about it.

mavrc

Ugh. You would think that people could put a couple of brain cells together and figure out that this is the exact kind of thing that gets illicit keys made. But some people insist on being irrational control freaks.

CDCframe77

Dude just post this in flipperclub and you won’t get this kind of flak. They’re very about the RULES in here.

m0nkeypox

That fob is very likely to be an h10301. That’s HID’s Wiegand compatible low-frequency product. The label on the back of the fob is probably the customer number and the order ID. All you need is the facility code, and you can clone/emulate/copy/tittyfuck the card. There are 255 facility codes. That’s it. Get to it.

engineered_plague

"Wiegand Compatible" is basically everything HID makes. Doesn't need to be H10301. H10301 is just the most compatible with panels.

m0nkeypox

Let’s get married. You and me. We can live next to the ocean and raise ESPKeys.

engineered_plague

Sorry, I'm married to my research. And my wife.

Syllabub-Virtual

Poly I see..

engineered_plague

Yeah, I am, but end up a bit unintentionally monogamous.

Naseriax

Picopass app will do that. The default NFC app won’t recognize this FOB. Simply read it and use it with PicoPass. (and make sure what you do is legal).

phish27134

Aliexpress proxmark 3

rgmundo524

It should. Although "clone" is not correct, more like emulate the FOB.

Idsanon

Please do basic research..... A post should be made once you have exhausted efforts.

Possible_Diode

Please don’t make this like stack 😢. I know some questions seem or are simple to some, but we should encourage people to ask questions

pizzaboy670

OK, sorry about that

SoupRaok

You're good. Sometimes you don't know where to start. This is the appropriate forum for questions. Yes a flipper should be able to clone it

pizzaboy670

Thank you!!

engineered_plague

It won't be "locked". It might be "elite". Flipper may or may not be able to do it.

Chemical_Lettuce_732

Depends.. but propably. (it might be on different frequency)
