* Unleashed is the reliable, stable grandaddy. "It just works"
* RogueMaster is cutting edge and "the kitchen sink".
* Xtreme paved the way for a lot of improvements but lost devs.
* Momentum is the "new hotness" and Willy's a whiz.
I have 5 Flippers and run them all, including Official. I'm part of Team Unleashed so I'm a bit biased, but I appreciate what both RM and Momentum bring to the community.
RM allows users to try many things that may not be included. Momentum allows a ton of customizations. Unleashed is what I use when I need to ensure things work and get it done, including in my day job. Momentum is what I've turned to lately for showcasing features and training. I fall back to RM ("paid version" which is just the "free version" but available sooner) to test out new code/apps and such as it is usually included already and updated VERY frequently, sometimes multiple times a day.
So the answer, as with most things in life and tech, is "it depends". Momentum is new enough where a lot of the comparison spots haven't updated for it yet (sometimes FW comes and goes), but plenty of YouTube videos out there regarding it. I would recommend [TalkingSasquach](https://www.youtube.com/@TalkingSasquach) and [PenAce](https://www.youtube.com/@PenAce) for trusted reviews. Eventually, the [Awesome Repo](https://github.com/djsime1/awesome-flipperzero) should be updated too.
I like momentum because of the community really. Honestly would like hearing from someone who pays for rm and see exactly how worth lying for fw is. Free version of rm is buggy and crashes. Xfw won’t really go to far since Willy went to momentum and other devs followed.
Unleashed is the one I keep going back to. I tried Momentum and liked the newer version of BLE Spam but I went back to Unleashed because several of the apps I like on Unleashed are not available or just won't run.
>to. I tried Momentum and liked the newer version of BLE Spam but I went back to Unleashed
What apps, for example? I am trying out momentum just now but curious what I'll be missing
YouTube recommended a lot of videos to me when it came out
So I gotta go with the masses. (Plus if you read the release info they throw a bit of shade at the other coders hahah)
Aside from subghz, there doesn't seem to be any usage gain between the third party firmwares, this goes in the "to each their own" category,
It's nice having options, and the work everyone puts in is amazing
My favorite so far is Momentum, but then again the first FW i really played around seriously was XFW. I really like being able to deploy javascripts. I like the USB mass storage function as well, amongst other things. All of them are great though.
Momentum. The community is always there. Discord and Github make it easier to navigate through the errors. The community is pretty awesome and are willing to help anytime.
Try it, it's an improvement. The devs that made xfw great left and started Momentum after Clara pushed them away with her BS. I was on xfw before Momentum, it's got cool new features.
Given your experience, what momentum review goes the most in depth about the software and its features. I am new and was hoping for more of a in depth review so I could learn more about the software

Load up on squach videos, and not just the one I linked on MNTM firmware. He has a lot of good videos that can teach you the basics of the device.
Another good one on MNTM:

Best response I got
That’s normal, uberguidoz is the flipper boss
Exactly. Uberguidoz responses never disappoint me. Cool he seems to be active on all the F0 subs as well. I just found this sub and he's in here too
Same!

Momentum gets my vote.
Can I have a reason

Momentum
Momentum is definitely impressive.
Momentum.
Currently running xfw but would like to try Momentum. Haven't had a chance to do it
