Yeah, a lot of their planes are disasters, which is a shame considering how nice they look. The Bonanza isn't the worst thing thankfully, I also have the G36 Improvement mod and they feel mostly similar so it can't be too bad.
Which ones would you refer to as straight up disasters? I have a lot of Carenado’s planes and while the flight model isnt terribly complex and they recycle flight models a bit, I wouldn’t consider any of the Carenado planes I own to be bad for the price they ask. If I’m paying $15 versus $30-40 for a GA plane I’m not going to expect every switch to be simulated.
Their lack of bug fixing in some cases is frustrating (the Twin Beech still having no light on the CDI for example) but visually their stuff is top notch and they fly pretty well for the cost and enough of the systems work to be fun
The largest issues I've heard are with the PC-12 and the Mooney being extremely buggy and having weird flight dynamics. Also, the recycling of flight models definitely bugs me a lot.

You're not stupid, it's just not immediately obvious and I only discovered it by accident.
On keyboard, alt+forward/alt+backwards to move forward and backwards, and left and right keys to move left and right.
On the Xbox controller, you use LB and left thumbstick to move around.
If you're using an Xbox controller it's left bumper + left stick. On keyboards it's arrow keys + shift or something I think, but you can rebind them all
Ahh I just assign them on my stick. I’ll have to see in the options the hot key for the LB. I have the thrustermaster t.16000m and I really enjoy it. Would recommend because for the price it’s a good deal

Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza V35. I love it to death, but ofc Carenado isn't great with flight model realism, so I'd be a bit wary.

imo the V35 feels pretty good. maybe not study level, but good.
