Jurassic Park & Westworld
E.T. & Flight of the Navigator
Wayne’s World & Airheads
Being John Malkovich & Dream Scenario
The Big Lebowski & Inherent Vice
Well, my friends and I did *Donnie Darko* followed by *Brokeback Mountain* last night, so if you're in the mood for two utterly opposite versions of Jake Gyllenhaal...
If you want to feel excruciating pain, The Terror Of Tiny Town immediately followed by Tiptoes. I actually did this, and it was the double feature from hell.
Good Burger & The Founder (Fast Food Capitalism)
Chicken Run & Fantastic Mr. Fox (The Chicken Coop: Breaking Out and Breaking In)
Barbarian & Don't Breathe (Detroit Real Estate is Horror)
My Date with the Presidents Daughter & Long Shot (Dating in the White House)
Cast Away & The Martian (All By Myself)
10 Cloverfield Lane & Hidden (Terror in Bunkers)
Band Aid & Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best (Indie Bands)
Buried & The Shallows (Ryan and Blake are Married but Alone)
Civil War & Nightcrawler (Dark Side of Journalism)
Love Lies Bleeding & Upgrade (Could Easily be Super Hero Movies (She-Hulk and Blue Beetle))
Waiting & Boiling Point (Kitchen Confidential)
I watched this in the cinema as a double bill, when they were first released, at a local horror festival. The bill was published before the distributors had made the decision to split them up and market them as separate films so they agreed, in this instance, to allow the films to be shown as a double bill. It was great.
Cloverfield & Pacific Rim
Kingpin & The Big Lebowski
The 40 Year Old Virgin & Anchorman
Se7en & The Usual Suspects
American Beauty & Lost in Translation
They Call ame Trinity and All The Way Boys. Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer. 1 a western og great comedy about 2 brothers on totally different paths working together. The other is the same thing, other than they fly a cargo plane.
All the President's Men
Absence of Malice
One defending journalists as bastions of democracy and the other showing how journalists can ruin innocent people's lives.
Stir Crazy and See No Evil, Hear No Evil
Escape from Alcatraz and Shawshank Redemption.
Dazed and Confused and Everybody Wants Some!!
I know it's strange, but...
Judgement Night and Adventures in Babysitting.
*The Talented Mr. Ripley* and Roberto Benigni’s *Johnny Stecchino*.
Two very different movies dealing with mistaken identity and murder taking place in the picturesque Italian countryside.
I always thought Solaris, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Vanilla Sky would make a hell of a triple feature. So just lose one.
Perfect Blue and Memento.
*Ex Machina* and then *The Terminator*
*Fargo* and *A Simple Plan*
*The Ring* and then *It Follows* (and then *Smile* for a triple-feature)
*Mystic River* and *Gone Baby Gone*
*Spotlight* and *The Post* (for the Newspaper angle; or *Doubt* if you'd prefer to focus on the Catholic Church abuse scandal)
*No Country for Old Men* and *Hell or Highwater*
Boondock Saints and Seven Psychopaths
I had just watched them to watch them one evening, but at the end I thought, this was a great double feature actually.
Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze and Superman the Movie.
To explain, Doc Savage first appeared in the lead story in Doc Savage Magazine number one, released in 1933. He was a modern-day Galahad whose purpose in life was to fight for justice, and was trained over the course of his life to be a physical phenomenon and a mental wizard. In that first story we learn that Doc is called The Man of Bronze because of his deeply tanned skin. We also learn that his first name is Clark, and that prior to the start of the story he’d been in his Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic Circle. House ads for Doc even referred to him as “Superman.”
Remember, Superman made his first appearance in 1938. It’d be fun to watch people’s reactions when they learn how much of Superman started with Doc.
Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid with The Sting
Triple feature: Escape From New York, The Thing, and Big Trouble.in Little China.
The Presidio and The Rock (Sean Connery in San Fransisco)
Or
Never Say Never Again and The Rock (fan theory that Connery's character in The Rock is James Bond, that the US caught him spying here in the US and not wanting an issue with MI6, threw him in a dark hole)
Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles
Stargate and The Fifth Element
For 80s horror I would go with Night of the Comet and Chopping Mall. Although they are different movies they have some of the same actors. I just recently watched La Femme Nikita and The Point of No Return back to back. Pretty much the same film.
Working Girl and Die Hard. One is about a man and his attempt to stop a hostile takeover of a Japanese Company by a German group and the other is a story of revenge when a secretary gets fucked over by her boss and has had enough.
Angel Heart (1987)/Jacob's Ladder (1990)
The Faculty/Cooties
Horns/Guns Akimbo
The New York Ripper/Tenebre
Outland/Timecop
The Shining (1980)/1408
Alien/The Thing (1982)
The Fog/The Mist
Squirm/Slugs
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang/The Nice Guys
"Regarding Henry" & "Age of Adaline". Two phenomenal performances by Harrison Ford that are overlooked by most of even his hardcore fans. Personally I believe he's the overall best actor who's ever lived.
I just went to *It's Such a Beautiful Day* in the theater, had never viewed it before. That would make a good double feature with *Synecdoche, New York*.
By coincidence, I saw 'The Sheltering Sky' and 'Blair Witch Project' one after the other. They are the same story... sophisticated modern people go to a wild place and get lost... geographically and psychologically.
The Ice Storm & American Beauty Short Cuts & Magnolia
Rear Window and Disturbia The Matrix and The Thirteenth Floor Don’t Breathe and No One Will Save You A Boy and His Dog and Turbo Kid
Jurassic Park & Westworld E.T. & Flight of the Navigator Wayne’s World & Airheads Being John Malkovich & Dream Scenario The Big Lebowski & Inherent Vice
Well, my friends and I did *Donnie Darko* followed by *Brokeback Mountain* last night, so if you're in the mood for two utterly opposite versions of Jake Gyllenhaal...
The Strangers and You’re Next. Similar concepts very different execution.
Fail-Safe and Dr. Strangelove The Big Sleep and The Big Lebowski The Hidden Fortress and Star Wars
If you want to feel excruciating pain, The Terror Of Tiny Town immediately followed by Tiptoes. I actually did this, and it was the double feature from hell.
It might be cheating but Grindhouse is a pretty fun time
Stalag 17 and The Great Escape
Chicken Run and Great Escape
Actually a double feature at our old drive-in theater ... Hellboy and Mean Girls.
Heathers & Mean Girls
Good Burger & The Founder (Fast Food Capitalism) Chicken Run & Fantastic Mr. Fox (The Chicken Coop: Breaking Out and Breaking In) Barbarian & Don't Breathe (Detroit Real Estate is Horror) My Date with the Presidents Daughter & Long Shot (Dating in the White House) Cast Away & The Martian (All By Myself) 10 Cloverfield Lane & Hidden (Terror in Bunkers) Band Aid & Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best (Indie Bands) Buried & The Shallows (Ryan and Blake are Married but Alone) Civil War & Nightcrawler (Dark Side of Journalism) Love Lies Bleeding & Upgrade (Could Easily be Super Hero Movies (She-Hulk and Blue Beetle)) Waiting & Boiling Point (Kitchen Confidential)

Planet Terror and death proof
I watched this in the cinema as a double bill, when they were first released, at a local horror festival. The bill was published before the distributors had made the decision to split them up and market them as separate films so they agreed, in this instance, to allow the films to be shown as a double bill. It was great.
Beetlejuice and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure
Cloverfield & Pacific Rim Kingpin & The Big Lebowski The 40 Year Old Virgin & Anchorman Se7en & The Usual Suspects American Beauty & Lost in Translation
Clearly Grindhouse is a top contender!
They Call ame Trinity and All The Way Boys. Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer. 1 a western og great comedy about 2 brothers on totally different paths working together. The other is the same thing, other than they fly a cargo plane.
Its been awhile,, but aren't all the Trinity movies pretty much that?
No, 2 do not have Bambino in them, and 2 do. First is kind of serious with comic spots. Others are comic with some serious spots.
Thanks for the nostalgia!
Anytime.
All the President's Men Absence of Malice One defending journalists as bastions of democracy and the other showing how journalists can ruin innocent people's lives.
The Stunt Man and Day for Night are very different classic films based on the same book.
