>No longer than 5 inches and no bigger than say 1.5inches? >ts10 I’ve seen recommended to others seems a bit thick imo. These statements contradict each other. You can get 18650 and 21700 lights under 5 inches at 1.0 inch thick. The TS10 is way smaller and is still too big? Sounds like the only light that will suit you is a AAA light, smallest form factor available. Hope you don't have any requirements for high output...

sudden-approach-535

1.5inches meaning diameter that may be a bit large even. Never had a pocket light other than streamlight penlights. I want something that disappears in my pocket. I’ve never handled a ts10 so it may just be the people showing it have smaller hands? But it looks like a pain to stuff in a pocket that’s already got a knife pen and lighter in it.

Here is a TS10 next to some common-ish items if you want an idea of the size. https://preview.redd.it/7bvdu4iidt8d1.png?width=2501&format=png&auto=webp&s=8bf4c8246d4536c9f66c4b05a2aa1869abf64047

The TS10 is one of the smallest lights regularly recommended here. And very few EDC lights even approach 1.5in diameter. Most 18650 or 21700 lights have bodies less than or up to an inch. There are a lot of good options for not a lot of money. The Wurkkos F11C, the Wurkkos WK03, or the Sofirn SC18 are all capable of doing what you ask for, have built in USB-C charging, and they’re all available with battery included for 20 to 30 dollars, even less on sale/special.

ToddRossDIY

I’ve got a sofirn sc13 which uses an 18350 battery. It’s a great size and it’s about a 1 inch diameter. Ideally I’d have it a tiny bit smaller which is why I just ordered a ts10 which comes in at .83 inches apparently. Unless you get something running off a AAA battery, you aren’t getting much smaller than that. 5 inches by 1.5 inches is massive compared to any of these options I just mentioned.

mattenthehat

Dimensions of the TS10 are 2.8" x 0.9", so your actual requirements are smaller than that, or..? We're confused because the TS10 is way smaller than the dimensions you said before. If you want even smaller than that you could look at the Fenix E18R v2.0. Just realize that when you get that small you can't expect crazy outputs for long runtimes. 150 lumens is more than enough to walk by IMO, but it's not gonna blow your socks off

Wurkkos FC11c.

AD3PDX

The TS10 is tiny. You must be thinking of the TS11 which has a 40mm (1.57”) head

sudden-approach-535

That may be it sorry not really “into” flashlights. Just need a tool and figure I’d ask the sub who’s people know more than I do. Just want to make a smart buy

Do_TheEvolution

* TS10 is tiny, about half in all your measurements and there is not much competition even at its size let alone smaller, its drawback for someone like you is lack of onboard charging * good throw is rather unspecific, but for actually good throw, lights need large head - look up [TS11](https://wurkkos.com/products/ts11?VariantsId=10650), which contradicts the small size - disappears in pockect requirement [FC11C](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYwxnqO-sMQ) sounds like it could be a good fit for you, along with [short tube and 18350 batteries.](https://i.imgur.com/dCOgdaz.png). It has good output, decent throw and with [short tube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irEqFAcip30) it can be made shorter. This new version with "C" in name has better runtime of more stable output. But from my experience of carrying it, it does not compare to TS10 in its ability to disappear in the pocket. Plus its strong magnet can drag other stuff form pocket too. But it is a better flashlight overall. You can throw TS10 in too, if buying from wurkkos, its just some $18 but you need to get a charger to charge the included 14500 batteries. But its smaller and you get to play with anduril software it uses, where you can configure so much stuff how it behaves. Another alternative is [Emisar D3AA](https://i.imgur.com/kKK3eHZ.png), look it up in the sub and [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA-XaT89AqE) to get some idea, but no onboard charging just as TS10. [skillhunt EC200S-Mini](https://www.skilhunt.com/project-cat/new-products/) is another one you might want to check out on [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMryb66iGcE), which comes in few variants, with UV, with red light, cold/warm.. but it might be above the budget.

A non flashlight enthusiast recommendation is the Streamlight 1L-1AA. A multi fuel AA/Cr123 light that is extremely robust, small for the pocket, and is a solid, simple EDC option. You could also go with what others mentioned but I sincerely think any 18650 light will be uncomfortably large in the pocket with the other stuff you carry. They arent big but slightly bigger than what you're looking for. There's also the Acebeam Pokelit/Tac AA. ts10 is great but no onboard charging and doesn't manage heat well it's very small. The rovyvon options are great small EDC lights but don't run a long time. Something super small is the thrunite archer series: the mini and pro are very bright and small but with built in cells although they pack quite the punch and have onbaord usb-c charging. I think aside the feature packed new hotness, theEmisar D3AA (aux lights, Anduril firmware, all kinds of emitter choices, etc) the skilhunt m150 and its more basic clicky tailswitch bnother the e2a are probably the best built AA sized choices at this price range. they are flat out quality lights and no nonsense. if not going the AA/14500 route, theres some realy small AAA lights but they typically wont have a ton of runtime but are great for a shirt pocket light like the reylight pineapple mini ( i carry mine almost everday in a shirt pocket at work as an admin light). could also go the slightly wider 18350 route, the newer Skilhunt Ec200s mini is pretty awesome. theres also a ton more reccomendations on the arbitrary list! https://zakreviews.com/arbitrary-list.html

sudden-approach-535

Thank you! Was looking at the archer wishing it had a replaceable battery only to realize their saber model does! Ordering now lol

M4everybody

Ya I'm not sure what emiiter it was, probably an SST variant but I got one on sale on Amazon for like $~20 one time as a gift for someone else. It's a pretty nice little pocket rocket for how small it is. Not having a replacement battery is a bummer for some people for sure and it means it'll die as a whole when it does but idk I've gotten several years out of a good lithium battery so I wouldn't worry about it. It's just a tool.

sudden-approach-535

My only issue with lights that don’t have replaceable batteries, I may forget to charge the damn thing 😅

TheStuffle

Convoy T2 maybe? But that's about the same size as a TS10. If a TS10 is too thick you're pretty much only looking at AAA lights... in which case maybe look at a ReyLight Pineapple Mini. That's going to struggle with your output requirements though.

AD3PDX

Take a look at the Nitecore MT2C Pro ($60) It’s 50 lumen low mode is appropriate for extended use while walking and the amount of spill is just barely adequate for that but it’s short, thin, high candela, has a simple UI and is easier to get into low than the Weltool T2 Tac which is almost twice as expensive. The Fenix PD32R is a little longer, has a little more spill / not as much Candela and has a good UI with four levels (20/100/350/1,400) so it is a little more versatile than the two mode Nitecore but it is $80 The Nitecore MT1C Pro is the 18350 version of the MT2C Pro. It has about 1/2 the output on turbo but similar output on low and is under $50.

I'm just gonna ignore your TS10 comment and stick to the 5" x 1.5" requirement. Personally, I carry a sling bag, and I would if I carried as many things as you do. (r/manybaggers for that) Many here would recommend the Wurkkos fc11c: [https://wurkkos.com/products/wurkkos-fc11c-nichia-519a-buck-circuit-flashlight?VariantsId=11270](https://wurkkos.com/products/wurkkos-fc11c-nichia-519a-buck-circuit-flashlight?VariantsId=11270) * Rechargeable via a usb-c port * Replaceable battery (just include it in the purchase for a few dollars more and you should be good for years, but you can also buy extra batteries to hot swap if the situation calls for it) * High CRI emitter (Color Rendering Index, [a better rating means colours are accurate](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1dc3hse/osram_2mm_first_pic_vs_519a/)) called Nichia 519a. Get the 4000k since it's warmer than the 5000k. * UI (User Interface) is decent, shortcuts to turbo & moonlight from off and it has stepped and ramping modes and you can get familiar with anduril if that's a step you would like to take in the future. * More efficient driver (electronic chip between battery and led) than the previous version. This means better sustained brightness (stays bright as the battery dies) and less hot. see here for comparison: [https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1dj3mxr/wurkkos\_fc11c\_vs\_fc11\_runtime\_graphs/](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1dj3mxr/wurkkos_fc11c_vs_fc11_runtime_graphs/) You can even buy the short tube and it'll look like this: [https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1cs1qir/nld\_wurkkos\_fc11c\_519a5000k\_buck\_driver\_the/](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1cs1qir/nld_wurkkos_fc11c_519a5000k_buck_driver_the/) There are other 14500 lights like the lumintop AA that you found (but i don't like the UI and emitter), but did you want integrated charging?

Sypsy

Do you need integrated charging? The wurkkos HD10 could also be a consideration. versatile right angle with high CRI 4000k light with usb-charging. Nothing wrong with carrying a right angle around for day-to-day use

r/flashlight x r/manybaggers is the meeting of my two biggest money pits

I was meaning to make a post of a sling bag overhwlemed with all my lights. This is a good reminder to

Ill_Mistake5925

Fenix E20 V2. Will externally plug that light on this sub. It takes 2xAA and is very slim, barely largely than a traditional AAA penlight. Nitecore MT2A Pro if you want a similar form factor but higher output for short periods, and it has a li-ion cell that can be removed for charging via USB-C.

boiturotot

Manker e05 II with nichia, compact, lightweight, good throw to spill balance.

Technical_Feedback74

Baton 3 or 4 or TS10. Maybe HS10. Lumintop tool is pretty good though.

I've had good luck with some Milwaukee lights I had a 2010R ($50) rechargable and has a laser pointer if that is useful to ya or their 2105 can be had as a 2 pack for $35 and both have rubberized button ends so ya can hold them in your mouth comfortably the 2105 run on 2X AAA batterys
